ரோமிண: 5
1 விஸ்²வாஸேந ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தா வயம் ஈஸ்²வரேண ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ணாஸ்மாகம்’ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந மேலநம்’ ப்ராப்தா: |
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 அபரம்’ வயம்’ யஸ்மிந் அநுக்³ரஹாஸ்²ரயே திஷ்டா²மஸ்தந்மத்⁴யம்’ விஸ்²வாஸமார்கே³ண தேநைவாநீதா வயம் ஈஸ்²வரீயவிப⁴வப்ராப்திப்ரத்யாஸ²யா ஸமாநந்தா³ம: |
through whom we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
3 தத் கேவலம்’ நஹி கிந்து க்லேஸ²போ⁴கே³(அ)ப்யாநந்தா³மோ யத: க்லேஸா²த்³ தை⁴ர்ய்யம்’ ஜாயத இதி வயம்’ ஜாநீம: ,
Not only that, but we also boast in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces endurance,
4 தை⁴ர்ய்யாச்ச பரீக்ஷிதத்வம்’ ஜாயதே, பரீக்ஷிதத்வாத் ப்ரத்யாஸா² ஜாயதே,
endurance produces proven character, proven character produces hope,
5 ப்ரத்யாஸா²தோ வ்ரீடி³தத்வம்’ ந ஜாயதே, யஸ்மாத்³ அஸ்மப்⁴யம்’ த³த்தேந பவித்ரேணாத்மநாஸ்மாகம் அந்த: கரணாநீஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரேமவாரிணா ஸிக்தாநி|
and hope does not put to shame, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
6 அஸ்மாஸு நிருபாயேஷு ஸத்ஸு க்²ரீஷ்ட உபயுக்தே ஸமயே பாபிநாம்’ நிமித்தம்’ ஸ்வீயாந் ப்ரணாந் அத்யஜத்|
For when we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 ஹிதகாரிணோ ஜநஸ்ய க்ரு’தே கோபி ப்ரணாந் த்யக்தும்’ ஸாஹஸம்’ கர்த்தும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி, கிந்து தா⁴ர்ம்மிகஸ்ய க்ரு’தே ப்ராயேண கோபி ப்ராணாந் ந த்யஜதி|
Rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though perhaps for a good person someone might even dare to die.
8 கிந்த்வஸ்மாஸு பாபிஷு ஸத்ஸ்வபி நிமித்தமஸ்மாகம்’ க்²ரீஷ்ட: ஸ்வப்ராணாந் த்யக்தவாந், தத ஈஸ்²வரோஸ்மாந் ப்ரதி நிஜம்’ பரமப்ரேமாணம்’ த³ர்ஸி²தவாந்|
But God demonstrated his own love for us in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 அதஏவ தஸ்ய ரக்தபாதேந ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தா வயம்’ நிதாந்தம்’ தேந கோபாத்³ உத்³தா⁴ரிஷ்யாமஹே|
How much more then, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved from wrath through him!
10 ப²லதோ வயம்’ யதா³ ரிபவ ஆஸ்ம ததே³ஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ரஸ்ய மரணேந தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யத்³யஸ்மாகம்’ மேலநம்’ ஜாதம்’ தர்ஹி மேலநப்ராப்தா: ஸந்தோ(அ)வஸ்²யம்’ தஸ்ய ஜீவநேந ரக்ஷாம்’ லப்ஸ்யாமஹே|
For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more will we be saved by his life now that we have been reconciled!
11 தத் கேவலம்’ நஹி கிந்து யேந மேலநம் அலபா⁴மஹி தேநாஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ணா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந ஸாம்ப்ரதம் ஈஸ்²வரே ஸமாநந்தா³மஸ்²ச|
Not only that, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
12 ததா² ஸதி, ஏகேந மாநுஷேண பாபம்’ பாபேந ச மரணம்’ ஜக³தீம்’ ப்ராவிஸ²த் அபரம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ பாபித்வாத் ஸர்வ்வே மாநுஷா ம்ரு’தே ர்நிக்⁴நா அப⁴வத்|
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death came through sin, in this way death has come to all men, because all have sinned.
13 யதோ வ்யவஸ்தா²தா³நஸமயம்’ யாவத் ஜக³தி பாபம் ஆஸீத் கிந்து யத்ர வ்யவஸ்தா² ந வித்³யதே தத்ர பாபஸ்யாபி க³ணநா ந வித்³யதே|
For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not charged to anyone's account when there is no law.
14 ததா²ப்யாத³மா யாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ பாபம்’ க்ரு’தம்’ தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ பாபம்’ யை ர்நாகாரி ஆத³மம் ஆரப்⁴ய மூஸாம்’ யாவத் தேஷாமப்யுபரி ம்ரு’த்யூ ராஜத்வம் அகரோத் ஸ ஆத³ம் பா⁴வ்யாத³மோ நித³ர்ஸ²நமேவாஸ்தே|
Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins were not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one to come.
15 கிந்து பாபகர்ம்மணோ யாத்³ரு’ஸோ² பா⁴வஸ்தாத்³ரு’க்³ தா³நகர்ம்மணோ பா⁴வோ ந ப⁴வதி யத ஏகஸ்ய ஜநஸ்யாபராதே⁴ந யதி³ ப³ஹூநாம்’ மரணம் அக⁴டத ததா²பீஸ்²வராநுக்³ரஹஸ்தத³நுக்³ரஹமூலகம்’ தா³நஞ்சைகேந ஜநேநார்தா²த்³ யீஸு²நா க்²ரீஷ்டேந ப³ஹுஷு பா³ஹுல்யாதிபா³ஹுல்யேந ப²லதி|
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through the trespass of the one man, how much more have the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ abounded to many!
16 அபரம் ஏகஸ்ய ஜநஸ்ய பாபகர்ம்ம யாத்³ரு’க் ப²லயுக்தம்’ தா³நகர்ம்ம தாத்³ரு’க் ந ப⁴வதி யதோ விசாரகர்ம்மைகம்’ பாபம் ஆரப்⁴ய த³ண்ட³ஜநகம்’ ப³பூ⁴வ, கிந்து தா³நகர்ம்ம ப³ஹுபாபாந்யாரப்⁴ய புண்யஜநகம்’ ப³பூ⁴வ|
And the gift cannot be compared to the result of the one man's sin; for the judgment that arose from one trespass brought condemnation, but the gift that arose from many trespasses brought justification.
17 யத ஏகஸ்ய ஜநஸ்ய பாபகர்ம்மதஸ்தேநைகேந யதி³ மரணஸ்ய ராஜத்வம்’ ஜாதம்’ தர்ஹி யே ஜநா அநுக்³ரஹஸ்ய பா³ஹுல்யம்’ புண்யதா³நஞ்ச ப்ராப்நுவந்தி த ஏகேந ஜநேந, அர்தா²த் யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந, ஜீவநே ராஜத்வம் அவஸ்²யம்’ கரிஷ்யந்தி|
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through the one man, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ!
18 ஏகோ(அ)பராதோ⁴ யத்³வத் ஸர்வ்வமாநவாநாம்’ த³ண்ட³கா³மீ மார்கோ³ (அ)ப⁴வத் தத்³வத்³ ஏகம்’ புண்யதா³நம்’ ஸர்வ்வமாநவாநாம்’ ஜீவநயுக்தபுண்யகா³மீ மார்க³ ஏவ|
So then, just as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.
19 அபரம் ஏகஸ்ய ஜநஸ்யாஜ்ஞாலங்க⁴நாத்³ யதா² ப³ஹவோ (அ)பராதி⁴நோ ஜாதாஸ்தத்³வத்³ ஏகஸ்யாஜ்ஞாசரணாத்³ ப³ஹவ: ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தா ப⁴வந்தி|
For just as many were made sinners through the disobedience of one man, so also many will be made righteous through the obedience of one man.
20 அதி⁴கந்து வ்யவஸ்தா²க³மநாத்³ அபராத⁴ஸ்ய பா³ஹுல்யம்’ ஜாதம்’ கிந்து யத்ர பாபஸ்ய பா³ஹுல்யம்’ தத்ரைவ தஸ்மாத்³ அநுக்³ரஹஸ்ய பா³ஹுல்யம் அப⁴வத்|
Now the law came in so that the trespass might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded all the more,
21 தேந ம்ரு’த்யுநா யத்³வத் பாபஸ்ய ராஜத்வம் அப⁴வத் தத்³வத்³ அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டத்³வாராநந்தஜீவநதா³யிபுண்யேநாநுக்³ரஹஸ்ய ராஜத்வம்’ ப⁴வதி| (aiōnios g166)
so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
