ரோமிண: 11
1 ஈஸ்²வரேண ஸ்வீகீயலோகா அபஸாரிதா அஹம்’ கிம் ஈத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வாக்யம்’ ப்³ரவீமி? தந்ந ப⁴வது யதோ(அ)ஹமபி பி³ந்யாமீநகோ³த்ரீய இப்³ராஹீமவம்’ஸீ²ய இஸ்ராயேலீயலோகோ(அ)ஸ்மி|
I say then: Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
2 ஈஸ்²வரேண பூர்வ்வம்’ யே ப்ரத்³ரு’ஷ்டாஸ்தே ஸ்வகீயலோகா அபஸாரிதா இதி நஹி| அபரம் ஏலியோபாக்²யாநே ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே யல்லிகி²தம் ஆஸ்தே தத்³ யூயம்’ கிம்’ ந ஜாநீத²?
God hath not cast away his people, which he foreknew. Know you not what the scripture saith of Elias; how he calleth on God against Israel?
3 ஹே பரமேஸ்²வர லோகாஸ்த்வதீ³யா: ஸர்வ்வா யஜ்ஞவேதீ³ரப⁴ஞ்ஜந் ததா² தவ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³ந: ஸர்வ்வாந் அக்⁴நந் கேவல ஏகோ(அ)ஹம் அவஸி²ஷ்ட ஆஸே தே மமாபி ப்ராணாந் நாஸ²யிதும்’ சேஷ்டநதே, ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம் இஸ்ராயேலீயலோகாநாம்’ விருத்³த⁴ம் ஏலிய ஈஸ்²வராய நிவேத³யாமாஸ|
Lord, they have slain thy prophets, they have dug down thy altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4 ததஸ்தம்’ ப்ரதீஸ்²வரஸ்யோத்தரம்’ கிம்’ ஜாதம்’? பா³ல்நாம்நோ தே³வஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத் யை ர்ஜாநூநி ந பாதிதாநி தாத்³ரு’ஸா²: ஸப்த ஸஹஸ்ராணி லோகா அவஸே²ஷிதா மயா|
But what saith the divine answer to him? I have left me seven thousand men, that have not bowed their knees to Baal.
5 தத்³வத்³ ஏதஸ்மிந் வர்த்தமாநகாலே(அ)பி அநுக்³ரஹேணாபி⁴ருசிதாஸ்தேஷாம் அவஸி²ஷ்டா: கதிபயா லோகா: ஸந்தி|
Even so then at this present time also, there is a remnant saved according to the election of grace.
6 அதஏவ தத்³ யத்³யநுக்³ரஹேண ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி க்ரியயா ந ப⁴வதி நோ சேத்³ அநுக்³ரஹோ(அ)நநுக்³ரஹ ஏவ, யதி³ வா க்ரியயா ப⁴வதி தர்ஹ்யநுக்³ரஹேண ந ப⁴வதி நோ சேத் க்ரியா க்ரியைவ ந ப⁴வதி|
And if by grace, it is not now by works: otherwise grace is no more grace.
7 தர்ஹி கிம்’? இஸ்ராயேலீயலோகா யத்³ அம்ரு’க³யந்த தந்ந ப்ராபு: | கிந்த்வபி⁴ருசிதலோகாஸ்தத் ப்ராபுஸ்தத³ந்யே ஸர்வ்வ அந்தீ⁴பூ⁴தா: |
What then? That which Israel sought, he hath not obtained: but the election hath obtained it; and the rest have been blinded.
8 யதா² லிகி²தம் ஆஸ்தே, கோ⁴ரநித்³ராலுதாபா⁴வம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டிஹீநே ச லோசநே| கர்ணௌ ஸ்²ருதிவிஹீநௌ ச ப்ரத³தௌ³ தேப்⁴ய ஈஸ்²வர: ||
As it is written: God hath given them the spirit of insensibility; eyes that they should not see; and ears that they should not hear, until this present day.
9 ஏதேஸ்மிந் தா³யூத³பி லிகி²தவாந் யதா², அதோ பு⁴க்த்யாஸநம்’ தேஷாம் உந்மாத²வத்³ ப⁴விஷ்யதி| வா வம்’ஸ²யந்த்ரவத்³ பா³தா⁴ த³ண்ட³வத்³ வா ப⁴விஷ்யதி||
And David saith: Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompense unto them.
10 ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி ததா²ந்தா⁴ஸ்தே நேத்ரை: பஸ்²யந்தி நோ யதா²| வேபது²: கடிதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய தேஷாம்’ நித்யம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி||
Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see: and bow down their back always.
11 பதநார்த²ம்’ தே ஸ்க²லிதவந்த இதி வாசம்’ கிமஹம்’ வதா³மி? தந்ந ப⁴வது கிந்து தாந் உத்³யோகி³ந: கர்த்தும்’ தேஷாம்’ பதநாத்³ இதரதே³ஸீ²யலோகை: பரித்ராணம்’ ப்ராப்தம்’|
I say then, have they so stumbled, that they should fall? God forbid. But by their offence, salvation is come to the Gentiles, that they may be emulous of them.
12 தேஷாம்’ பதநம்’ யதி³ ஜக³தோ லோகாநாம்’ லாப⁴ஜநகம் அப⁴வத் தேஷாம்’ ஹ்ராஸோ(அ)பி யதி³ பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸி²நாம்’ லாப⁴ஜநகோ(அ)ப⁴வத் தர்ஹி தேஷாம்’ வ்ரு’த்³தி⁴: கதி லாப⁴ஜநிகா ப⁴விஷ்யதி?
Now if the offence of them be the riches of the world, and the diminution of them, the riches of the Gentiles; how much more the fulness of them?
13 அதோ ஹே அந்யதே³ஸி²நோ யுஷ்மாந் ஸம்போ³த்⁴ய கத²யாமி நிஜாநாம்’ ஜ்ஞாதிப³ந்தூ⁴நாம்’ மந: ஸூத்³யோக³ம்’ ஜநயந் தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே கியதாம்’ லோகாநாம்’ யதா² பரித்ராணம்’ ஸாத⁴யாமி
For I say to you, Gentiles: as long indeed as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I will honour my ministry,
14 தந்நிமித்தம் அந்யதே³ஸி²நாம்’ நிகடே ப்ரேரித: ஸந் அஹம்’ ஸ்வபத³ஸ்ய மஹிமாநம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யாமி|
If, by any means, I may provoke to emulation them who are my flesh, and may save some of them.
15 தேஷாம்’ நிக்³ரஹேண யதீ³ஸ்²வரேண ஸஹ ஜக³தோ ஜநாநாம்’ மேலநம்’ ஜாதம்’ தர்ஹி தேஷாம் அநுக்³ரு’ஹீதத்வம்’ ம்ரு’ததே³ஹே யதா² ஜீவநலாப⁴ஸ்தத்³வத் கிம்’ ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி?
For if the loss of them be the reconciliation of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
16 அபரம்’ ப்ரத²மஜாதம்’ ப²லம்’ யதி³ பவித்ரம்’ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி ஸர்வ்வமேவ ப²லம்’ பவித்ரம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி; ததா² மூலம்’ யதி³ பவித்ரம்’ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி ஸா²கா² அபி ததை²வ ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி|
For if the firstfruit be holy, so is the lump also: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
17 கியதீநாம்’ ஸா²கா²நாம்’ சே²த³நே க்ரு’தே த்வம்’ வந்யஜிதவ்ரு’க்ஷஸ்ய ஸா²கா² பூ⁴த்வா யதி³ தச்சா²கா²நாம்’ ஸ்தா²நே ரோபிதா ஸதி ஜிதவ்ரு’க்ஷீயமூலஸ்ய ரஸம்’ பு⁴ம்’க்ஷே,
And if some of the branches be broken, and thou, being a wild olive, art ingrafted in them, and art made partaker of the root, and of the fatness of the olive tree,
18 தர்ஹி தாஸாம்’ பி⁴ந்நஸா²கா²நாம்’ விருத்³த⁴ம்’ மாம்’ க³ர்வ்வீ: ; யதி³ க³ர்வ்வஸி தர்ஹி த்வம்’ மூலம்’ யந்ந தா⁴ரயஸி கிந்து மூலம்’ த்வாம்’ தா⁴ரயதீதி ஸம்’ஸ்மர|
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 அபரஞ்ச யதி³ வத³ஸி மாம்’ ரோபயிதும்’ தா: ஸா²கா² விப⁴ந்நா அப⁴வந்;
Thou wilt say then: The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20 ப⁴த்³ரம், அப்ரத்யயகாரணாத் தே விபி⁴ந்நா ஜாதாஸ்ததா² விஸ்²வாஸகாரணாத் த்வம்’ ரோபிதோ ஜாதஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ அஹங்காரம் அக்ரு’த்வா ஸஸாத்⁴வஸோ ப⁴வ|
Well: because of unbelief they were broken off. But thou standest by faith: be not highminded, but fear.
21 யத ஈஸ்²வரோ யதி³ ஸ்வாபா⁴விகீ: ஸா²கா² ந ரக்ஷதி தர்ஹி ஸாவதா⁴நோ ப⁴வ சேத் த்வாமபி ந ஸ்தா²பயதி|
For if God hath not spared the natural branches, fear lest perhaps he also spare not thee.
22 இத்யத்ரேஸ்²வரஸ்ய யாத்³ரு’ஸீ² க்ரு’பா தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ப⁴யாநகத்வமபி த்வயா த்³ரு’ஸ்²யதாம்’; யே பதிதாஸ்தாந் ப்ரதி தஸ்ய ப⁴யாநகத்வம்’ த்³ரு’ஸ்²யதாம்’, த்வஞ்ச யதி³ தத்க்ரு’பாஸ்²ரிதஸ்திஷ்ட²ஸி தர்ஹி த்வாம்’ ப்ரதி க்ரு’பா த்³ரக்ஷ்யதே; நோ சேத் த்வமபி தத்³வத் சி²ந்நோ ப⁴விஷ்யஸி|
See then the goodness and the severity of God: towards them indeed that are fallen, the severity; but towards thee, the goodness of God, if thou abide in goodness, otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 அபரஞ்ச தே யத்³யப்ரத்யயே ந திஷ்ட²ந்தி தர்ஹி புநரபி ரோபயிஷ்யந்தே யஸ்மாத் தாந் புநரபி ரோபயிதும் இஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸ²க்திராஸ்தே|
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
24 வந்யஜிதவ்ரு’க்ஷஸ்ய ஸா²கா² ஸந் த்வம்’ யதி³ ததஸ்²சி²ந்நோ ரீதிவ்யத்யயேநோத்தமஜிதவ்ரு’க்ஷே ரோபிதோ(அ)ப⁴வஸ்தர்ஹி தஸ்ய வ்ரு’க்ஷஸ்ய ஸ்வீயா யா: ஸா²கா²ஸ்தா: கிம்’ புந: ஸ்வவ்ரு’க்ஷே ஸம்’லகி³தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுவந்தி?
For if thou wert cut out of the wild olive tree, which is natural to thee; and, contrary to nature, were grafted into the good olive tree; how much more shall they that are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 ஹே ப்⁴ராதரோ யுஷ்மாகம் ஆத்மாபி⁴மாநோ யந்ந ஜாயதே தத³ர்த²ம்’ மமேத்³ரு’ஸீ² வாஞ்சா² ப⁴வதி யூயம்’ ஏதந்நிகூ³ட⁴தத்த்வம் அஜாநந்தோ யந்ந திஷ்ட²த²; வஸ்துதோ யாவத்காலம்’ ஸம்பூர்ணரூபேண பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸி²நாம்’ ஸம்’க்³ரஹோ ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி தாவத்காலம் அம்’ஸ²த்வேந இஸ்ராயேலீயலோகாநாம் அந்த⁴தா ஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி;
For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, of this mystery, (lest you should be wise in your own conceits), that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles should come in.
26 பஸ்²சாத் தே ஸர்வ்வே பரித்ராஸ்யந்தே; ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ லிகி²தமப்யாஸ்தே, ஆக³மிஷ்யதி ஸீயோநாத்³ ஏகோ யஸ்த்ராணதா³யக: | அத⁴ர்ம்மம்’ யாகுபோ³ வம்’ஸா²த் ஸ து தூ³ரீகரிஷ்யதி|
And so all Israel should be saved, as it is written: There shall come out of Sion, he that shall deliver, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
27 ததா² தூ³ரீகரிஷ்யாமி தேஷாம்’ பாபாந்யஹம்’ யதா³| ததா³ தைரேவ ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ மே நியமோ(அ)யம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
And this is to them my covenant: when I shall take away their sins.
28 ஸுஸம்’வாதா³த் தே யுஷ்மாகம்’ விபக்ஷா அப⁴வந் கிந்த்வபி⁴ருசிதத்வாத் தே பித்ரு’லோகாநாம்’ க்ரு’தே ப்ரியபாத்ராணி ப⁴வந்தி|
As concerning the gospel, indeed, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are most dear for the sake of the fathers.
29 யத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய தா³நாத்³ ஆஹ்வாநாஞ்ச பஸ்²சாத்தாபோ ந ப⁴வதி|
For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.
30 அதஏவ பூர்வ்வம் ஈஸ்²வரே(அ)விஸ்²வாஸிந: ஸந்தோ(அ)பி யூயம்’ யத்³வத் ஸம்ப்ரதி தேஷாம் அவிஸ்²வாஸகாரணாத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய க்ரு’பாபாத்ராணி ஜாதாஸ்தத்³வத்³
For as you also in times past did not believe God, but now have obtained mercy, through their unbelief;
31 இதா³நீம்’ தே(அ)விஸ்²வாஸிந: ஸந்தி கிந்து யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்லப்³த⁴க்ரு’பாகாரணாத் தைரபி க்ரு’பா லப்ஸ்யதே|
So these also now have not believed, for your mercy, that they also may obtain mercy.
32 ஈஸ்²வர: ஸர்வ்வாந் ப்ரதி க்ரு’பாம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யிதும்’ ஸர்வ்வாந் அவிஸ்²வாஸித்வேந க³ணயதி| (eleēsē g1653)
For God hath concluded all in unbelief, that he may have mercy on all. (eleēsē g1653)
33 அஹோ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநபு³த்³தி⁴ரூபயோ ர்த⁴நயோ: கீத்³ரு’க் ப்ராசுர்ய்யம்’| தஸ்ய ராஜஸா²ஸநஸ்ய தத்த்வம்’ கீத்³ரு’க்³ அப்ராப்யம்’| தஸ்ய மார்கா³ஸ்²ச கீத்³ரு’க்³ அநுபலக்ஷ்யா: |
O the depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How incomprehensible are his judgments, and how unsearchable his ways!
34 பரமேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸங்கல்பம்’ கோ ஜ்ஞாதவாந்? தஸ்ய மந்த்ரீ வா கோ(அ)ப⁴வத்?
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his counsellor?
35 கோ வா தஸ்யோபகாரீ ப்⁴ரு’த்வா தத்க்ரு’தே தேந ப்ரத்யுபகர்த்தவ்ய: ?
Or who hath first given to him, and recompense shall be made him?
