லூக: 24
1 அத² ஸப்தாஹப்ரத²மதி³நே(அ)திப்ரத்யூஷே தா யோஷித: ஸம்பாதி³தம்’ ஸுக³ந்தி⁴த்³ரவ்யம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தத³ந்யாபி⁴: கியதீபி⁴: ஸ்த்ரீபி⁴: ஸஹ ஸ்²மஸா²நம்’ யயு: |
On the Sabbath Day they rested in obedience to the commandment, but in the deep dawn of the first day of the week they took the spices which they had prepared, and came to the tomb.
2 கிந்து ஸ்²மஸா²நத்³வாராத் பாஷாணமபஸாரிதம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா
And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3 தா: ப்ரவிஸ்²ய ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்தே³ஹமப்ராப்ய
and on entering they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 வ்யாகுலா ப⁴வந்தி ஏதர்ஹி தேஜோமயவஸ்த்ராந்விதௌ த்³வௌ புருஷௌ தாஸாம்’ ஸமீபே ஸமுபஸ்தி²தௌ
While they were still perplexed over this, it happened that the two men stood near them in dazzling raiment.
5 தஸ்மாத்தா: ஸ²ங்காயுக்தா பூ⁴மாவதோ⁴முக்²யஸ்யஸ்து²: | ததா³ தௌ தா ஊசது ர்ம்ரு’தாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே ஜீவந்தம்’ குதோ ம்ரு’க³யத²?
They were terrified, and bowed down their faces to the ground, but the men said to them. "Why are you seeking him who lives among the dead?
6 ஸோத்ர நாஸ்தி ஸ உத³ஸ்தா²த்|
"He is not here; he is risen. Do you remember how he told you when he was still in Galilee
7 பாபிநாம்’ கரேஷு ஸமர்பிதேந க்ருஸே² ஹதேந ச மநுஷ்யபுத்ரேண த்ரு’தீயதி³வஸே ஸ்²மஸா²நாது³த்தா²தவ்யம் இதி கதா²ம்’ ஸ க³லீலி திஷ்ட²ந் யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ கதி²தவாந் தாம்’ ஸ்மரத|
that the Son of man had to be betrayed into the hands of sinful men, and to be crucified, and to rise on the third day?"
8 ததா³ தஸ்ய ஸா கதா² தாஸாம்’ மந: ஸு ஜாதா|
Then they recollected his words,
9 அநந்தரம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நாத்³ க³த்வா தா ஏகாத³ஸ²ஸி²ஷ்யாதி³ப்⁴ய: ஸர்வ்வேப்⁴யஸ்தாம்’ வார்த்தாம்’ கத²யாமாஸு: |
and turning away from the tomb they told all this to the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 மக்³த³லீநீமரியம், யோஹநா, யாகூபோ³ மாதா மரியம் தத³ந்யா: ஸங்கி³ந்யோ யோஷிதஸ்²ச ப்ரேரிதேப்⁴ய ஏதா: ஸர்வ்வா வார்த்தா: கத²யாமாஸு:
It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary, the mother of James, and the rest of the women who were telling all this to the apostles.
11 கிந்து தாஸாம்’ கதா²ம் அநர்த²காக்²யாநமாத்ரம்’ பு³த்³த்⁴வா கோபி ந ப்ரத்யைத்|
But the whole story seemed to them but an idle tale; and they disbelieved the women.
12 ததா³ பிதர உத்தா²ய ஸ்²மஸா²நாந்திகம்’ த³தா⁴வ, தத்ர ச ப்ரஹ்வோ பூ⁴த்வா பார்ஸ்²வைகஸ்தா²பிதம்’ கேவலம்’ வஸ்த்ரம்’ த³த³ர்ஸ²; தஸ்மாதா³ஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ மந்யமாநோ யத³க⁴டத தந்மநஸி விசாரயந் ப்ரதஸ்தே²|
Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb, but when he stooped and looked in he saw the linen wrappings by themselves, and he departed to his home, wondering at that which was come to pass.
13 தஸ்மிந்நேவ தி³நே த்³வௌ ஸி²ய்யௌ யிரூஸா²லமஸ்²சதுஷ்க்ரோஸா²ந்தரிதம் இம்மாயுக்³ராமம்’ க³ச்ச²ந்தௌ
On that same day two of his disciples were walking to Emmaus, a village about seven miles from Jerusalem.
14 தாஸாம்’ க⁴டநாநாம்’ கதா²மகத²யதாம்’
They were talking together about all these events,
15 தயோராலாபவிசாரயோ: காலே யீஸு²ராக³த்ய தாப்⁴யாம்’ ஸஹ ஜகா³ம
and as they talked and discussed matter, Jesus himself drew near and began walking beside them.
16 கிந்து யதா² தௌ தம்’ ந பரிசிநுதஸ்தத³ர்த²ம்’ தயோ ர்த்³ரு’ஷ்டி: ஸம்’ருத்³தா⁴|
But their eyes continued to be held that they should not recognize him even for an instant,
17 ஸ தௌ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந் யுவாம்’ விஷண்ணௌ கிம்’ விசாரயந்தௌ க³ச்ச²த²: ?
And he said to them, "What words are these that you are exchanging one with another, as you walk along?"
18 ததஸ்தயோ: க்லியபாநாமா ப்ரத்யுவாச யிரூஸா²லமபுரே(அ)து⁴நா யாந்யக⁴டந்த த்வம்’ கேவலவிதே³ஸீ² கிம்’ தத்³வ்ரு’த்தாந்தம்’ ந ஜாநாஸி?
They stood still, looking sad. And one of them named Cleopas, answered him, "Do you sojourn alone in Jerusalem, that you do not know what things have been happening there these days?"
19 ஸ பப்ரச்ச² கா க⁴டநா: ? ததா³ தௌ வக்துமாரேபா⁴தே யீஸு²நாமா யோ நாஸரதீயோ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய மாநுஷாணாஞ்ச ஸாக்ஷாத் வாக்யே கர்ம்மணி ச ஸ²க்திமாநாஸீத்
"What kind of things?" he answered. And they said. "The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;
20 தம் அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா விசாரகாஸ்²ச கேநாபி ப்ரகாரேண க்ருஸே² வித்³த்⁴வா தஸ்ய ப்ராணாநநாஸ²யந் ததீ³யா க⁴டநா: ;
"and how our high priest and ruler delivered him to be condemned to death and crucified him.
21 கிந்து ய இஸ்ராயேலீயலோகாந் உத்³தா⁴ரயிஷ்யதி ஸ ஏவாயம் இத்யாஸா²ஸ்மாபி⁴: க்ரு’தா| தத்³யதா² ததா²ஸ்து தஸ்யா க⁴டநாயா அத்³ய தி³நத்ரயம்’ க³தம்’|
"But we were hoping that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this is the third day since these things happened.
22 அதி⁴கந்த்வஸ்மாகம்’ ஸங்கி³நீநாம்’ கியத்ஸ்த்ரீணாம்’ முகே²ப்⁴யோ(அ)ஸம்ப⁴வவாக்யமித³ம்’ ஸ்²ருதம்’;
"Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They went to his tomb at daybreak,
23 தா: ப்ரத்யூஷே ஸ்²மஸா²நம்’ க³த்வா தத்ர தஸ்ய தே³ஹம் அப்ராப்ய வ்யாகு⁴ட்யேத்வா ப்ரோக்தவத்ய: ஸ்வர்கீ³ஸதூ³தௌ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாவஸ்மாபி⁴ஸ்தௌ சாவாதி³ஷ்டாம்’ ஸ ஜீவிதவாந்|
"and found that his body was not there; then they came and told us that besides they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
24 ததோஸ்மாகம்’ கைஸ்²சித் ஸ்²மஸா²நமக³ம்யத தே(அ)பி ஸ்த்ரீணாம்’ வாக்யாநுரூபம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டவந்த: கிந்து தம்’ நாபஸ்²யந்|
"Thereupon some of our own party to the tomb, and found it even so as the women had said, but him they did not see."
25 ததா³ ஸ தாவுவாச, ஹே அபோ³தௌ⁴ ஹே ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³பி⁴ருக்தவாக்யம்’ ப்ரத்யேதும்’ விலம்ப³மாநௌ;
"O foolish men," said Jesus, "slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26 ஏதத்ஸர்வ்வது³: க²ம்’ பு⁴க்த்வா ஸ்வபூ⁴திப்ராப்தி: கிம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ந ந்யாய்யா?
"Behooved it not the Christ to suffer thus, and then to enter into his glory?"
27 தத: ஸ மூஸாக்³ரந்த²மாரப்⁴ய ஸர்வ்வப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நாம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸா²ஸ்த்ரே ஸ்வஸ்மிந் லிகி²தாக்²யாநாபி⁴ப்ராயம்’ போ³த⁴யாமாஸ|
And beginning with Moses and the Prophets, he interpreted all the passages concerning himself.
28 அத² க³ம்யக்³ராமாப்⁴யர்ணம்’ ப்ராப்ய தேநாக்³ரே க³மநலக்ஷணே த³ர்ஸி²தே
When they drew near to the village to which they are were going, he appeared to be going farther.
29 தௌ ஸாத⁴யித்வாவத³தாம்’ ஸஹாவாப்⁴யாம்’ திஷ்ட² தி³நே க³தே ஸதி ராத்ரிரபூ⁴த்; தத: ஸ தாப்⁴யாம்’ ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ஸ்தா²தும்’ க்³ரு’ஹம்’ யயௌ|
But they urged him to stay with them, saying, "Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent."
30 பஸ்²சாத்³போ⁴ஜநோபவேஸ²காலே ஸ பூபம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா ஈஸ்²வரகு³ணாந் ஜகா³த³ தஞ்ச ப⁴ம்’க்த்வா தாப்⁴யாம்’ த³தௌ³|
So he went in to stay with them. But as he sat down with them, and took bread, and had blessed and broken it, and was handing it to them,
31 ததா³ தயோ ர்த்³ரு’ஷ்டௌ ப்ரஸந்நாயாம்’ தம்’ ப்ரத்யபி⁴ஜ்ஞது: கிந்து ஸ தயோ: ஸாக்ஷாத³ந்தர்த³தே⁴|
their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished out of their sight.
32 ததஸ்தௌ மிதோ²பி⁴தா⁴தும் ஆரப்³த⁴வந்தௌ க³மநகாலே யதா³ கதா²மகத²யத் ஸா²ஸ்த்ரார்த²ஞ்சபோ³த⁴யத் ததா³வயோ ர்பு³த்³தி⁴: கிம்’ ந ப்ராஜ்வலத்?
"Were not our hearts burning within us," they said to each other, "while we were talking with him on the way, and he was opening to us the scriptures?"
33 தௌ தத்க்ஷணாது³த்தா²ய யிரூஸா²லமபுரம்’ ப்ரத்யாயயது: , தத்ஸ்தா²நே ஸி²ஷ்யாணாம் ஏகாத³ஸா²நாம்’ ஸங்கி³நாஞ்ச த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ ஜாதம்’|
So they rose and returned to Jerusalem that very hour, and found the Eleven and the others all met together,
34 தே ப்ரோசு: ப்ரபு⁴ருத³திஷ்ட²த்³ இதி ஸத்யம்’ ஸி²மோநே த³ர்ஸ²நமதா³ச்ச|
saying, "The Lord is really risen, and has appeared to Simon!"
35 தத: பத²: ஸர்வ்வக⁴டநாயா: பூபப⁴ஞ்ஜநேந தத்பரிசயஸ்ய ச ஸர்வ்வவ்ரு’த்தாந்தம்’ தௌ வக்துமாரேபா⁴தே|
Then they began to tell what happened on the road, and he was known to them when he broke the bread.
36 இத்த²ம்’ தே பரஸ்பரம்’ வத³ந்தி தத்காலே யீஸு²: ஸ்வயம்’ தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴ய ப்ரோத்த²ய யுஷ்மாகம்’ கல்யாணம்’ பூ⁴யாத்³ இத்யுவாச,
While they were yet speaking he stood among them and said, "Peace be to you!"
37 கிந்து பூ⁴தம்’ பஸ்²யாம இத்யநுமாய தே ஸமுத்³விவிஜிரே த்ரேஷுஸ்²ச|
They were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
38 ஸ உவாச, குதோ து³: கி²தா ப⁴வத²? யுஷ்மாகம்’ மந: ஸு ஸந்தே³ஹ உதே³தி ச குத: ?
And he said to them. "Why are you disturbed? And why do questions rise in your hearts?
39 ஏஷோஹம்’, மம கரௌ பஸ்²யத வரம்’ ஸ்ப்ரு’ஷ்ட்வா பஸ்²யத, மம யாத்³ரு’ஸா²நி பஸ்²யத² தாத்³ரு’ஸா²நி பூ⁴தஸ்ய மாம்’ஸாஸ்தீ²நி ந ஸந்தி|
"Look at my hands and my feet. It is I! Feel me and see; for a ghost has not flesh and blood as I have."
40 இத்யுக்த்வா ஸ ஹஸ்தபாதா³ந் த³ர்ஸ²யாமாஸ|
Then he showed them his hands and feet.
41 தே(அ)ஸம்ப⁴வம்’ ஜ்ஞாத்வா ஸாநந்தா³ ந ப்ரத்யயந்| தத: ஸ தாந் பப்ரச்ச², அத்ர யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே கா²த்³யம்’ கிஞ்சித³ஸ்தி?
But while they still did not believe it for joy, and were filled with wonder, he asked them, "Have you anything here to eat?"
42 ததஸ்தே கியத்³த³க்³த⁴மத்ஸ்யம்’ மது⁴ ச த³து³:
So they gave him a piece of broiled fish,
43 ஸ ததா³தா³ய தேஷாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத்³ பு³பு⁴ஜே
and he took it and ate it in their presence.
44 கத²யாமாஸ ச மூஸாவ்யவஸ்தா²யாம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நாம்’ க்³ரந்தே²ஷு கீ³தபுஸ்தகே ச மயி யாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி வசநாநி லிகி²தாநி தத³நுரூபாணி க⁴டிஷ்யந்தே யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ஸ்தி²த்வாஹம்’ யதே³தத்³வாக்யம் அவத³ம்’ ததி³தா³நீம்’ ப்ரத்யக்ஷமபூ⁴த்|
Then he said to them, "These are my words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, how all things must be fulfilled which are written in the Law of Moses, and the prophets, and the Psalms concerning me."
45 அத² தேப்⁴ய: ஸா²ஸ்த்ரபோ³தா⁴தி⁴காரம்’ த³த்வாவத³த்,
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,
46 க்²ரீஷ்டேநேத்த²ம்’ ம்ரு’தியாதநா போ⁴க்தவ்யா த்ரு’தீயதி³நே ச ஸ்²மஸா²நாது³த்தா²தவ்யஞ்சேதி லிபிரஸ்தி;
and he said. "Thus it is written that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead, the third day;
47 தந்நாம்நா யிரூஸா²லமமாரப்⁴ய ஸர்வ்வதே³ஸே² மந: பராவர்த்தநஸ்ய பாபமோசநஸ்ய ச ஸுஸம்’வாத³: ப்ரசாரயிதவ்ய: ,
"and that repentance unto remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
48 ஏஷு ஸர்வ்வேஷு யூயம்’ ஸாக்ஷிண: |
"You must bear testimony to this.
49 அபரஞ்ச பஸ்²யத பித்ரா யத் ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாதம்’ தத் ப்ரேஷயிஷ்யாமி, அதஏவ யாவத்காலம்’ யூயம்’ ஸ்வர்கீ³யாம்’ ஸ²க்திம்’ ந ப்ராப்ஸ்யத² தாவத்காலம்’ யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரே திஷ்ட²த|
"And I will send forth the promise of my Father upon you. But tarry in Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high."
50 அத² ஸ தாந் பை³த²நீயாபர்ய்யந்தம்’ நீத்வா ஹஸ்தாவுத்தோல்ய ஆஸி²ஷ வக்துமாரேபே⁴
And he led them out until they were over against Bethany; and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
51 ஆஸி²ஷம்’ வத³ந்நேவ ச தேப்⁴ய: ப்ரு’த²க்³ பூ⁴த்வா ஸ்வர்கா³ய நீதோ(அ)ப⁴வத்|
And it happened that while he was blessing them, that he parted from them and was carried into heaven.
52 ததா³ தே தம்’ ப⁴ஜமாநா மஹாநந்தே³ந யிரூஸா²லமம்’ ப்ரத்யாஜக்³மு: |
And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
53 ததோ நிரந்தரம்’ மந்தி³ரே திஷ்ட²ந்த ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸாம்’ த⁴ந்யவாத³ஞ்ச கர்த்தம் ஆரேபி⁴ரே| இதி||
and were continually in the temple, blessing God.
