லூக: 20
1 அதை²கதா³ யீஸு² ர்மநித³ரே ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசாரயந் லோகாநுபதி³ஸ²தி, ஏதர்ஹி ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா அத்⁴யாபகா: ப்ராஞ்சஸ்²ச தந்நிகடமாக³த்ய பப்ரச்சு²:
One day, as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple courts and preaching the gospel, the priests and the scribes came with the elders
2 கயாஜ்ஞயா த்வம்’ கர்ம்மாண்யேதாநி கரோஷி? கோ வா த்வாமாஜ்ஞாபயத்? தத³ஸ்மாந் வத³|
and said to him, “Tell us, by what authority are yoʋ doing these things, or who is it that gave yoʋ this authority?”
3 ஸ ப்ரத்யுவாச, தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாநபி கதா²மேகாம்’ ப்ரு’ச்சா²மி தஸ்யோத்தரம்’ வத³த|
He answered them, “I will also ask you one question. Tell me:
4 யோஹநோ மஜ்ஜநம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய மாநுஷாணாம்’ வாஜ்ஞாதோ ஜாதம்’?
Did John's authority to baptize come from heaven or from men?”
5 ததஸ்தே மிதோ² விவிச்ய ஜக³து³: , யதீ³ஸ்²வரஸ்ய வதா³மஸ்தர்ஹி தம்’ குதோ ந ப்ரத்யைத ஸ இதி வக்ஷ்யதி|
So they discussed it among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’
6 யதி³ மநுஷ்யஸ்யேதி வதா³மஸ்தர்ஹி ஸர்வ்வே லோகா அஸ்மாந் பாஷாணை ர்ஹநிஷ்யந்தி யதோ யோஹந் ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³தி ஸர்வ்வே த்³ரு’ட⁴ம்’ ஜாநந்தி|
But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”
7 அதஏவ தே ப்ரத்யூசு: கஸ்யாஜ்ஞயா ஜாதம் இதி வக்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நும: |
So they answered that they did not know where it came from.
8 ததா³ யீஸு²ரவத³த் தர்ஹி கயாஜ்ஞயா கர்ம்மாண்யேதாதி கரோமீதி ச யுஷ்மாந் ந வக்ஷ்யாமி|
Then Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”
9 அத² லோகாநாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் ஸ இமாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²ம்’ வக்துமாரேபே⁴, கஸ்²சித்³ த்³ராக்ஷாக்ஷேத்ரம்’ க்ரு’த்வா தத் க்ஷேத்ரம்’ க்ரு’ஷீவலாநாம்’ ஹஸ்தேஷு ஸமர்ப்ய ப³ஹுகாலார்த²ம்’ தூ³ரதே³ஸ²ம்’ ஜகா³ம|
Then he began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, leased it to farmers, and left the country for a long time.
10 அத² ப²லகாலே ப²லாநி க்³ரஹீது க்ரு’ஷீவலாநாம்’ ஸமீபே தா³ஸம்’ ப்ராஹிணோத் கிந்து க்ரு’ஷீவலாஸ்தம்’ ப்ரஹ்ரு’த்ய ரிக்தஹஸ்தம்’ விஸஸர்ஜு: |
At harvest time he sent a servant to the farmers so that they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat that servant and sent him away empty-handed.
11 தத: ஸோதி⁴பதி: புநரந்யம்’ தா³ஸம்’ ப்ரேஷயாமாஸ, தே தமபி ப்ரஹ்ரு’த்ய குவ்யவஹ்ரு’த்ய ரிக்தஹஸ்தம்’ விஸஸ்ரு’ஜு: |
So he proceeded to send another servant, but they beat him also, treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed.
12 தத: ஸ த்ரு’தீயவாரம் அந்யம்’ ப்ராஹிணோத் தே தமபி க்ஷதாங்க³ம்’ க்ரு’த்வா ப³ஹி ர்நிசிக்ஷிபு: |
Then he proceeded to send a third, but they wounded him as well and threw him out.
13 ததா³ க்ஷேத்ரபதி ர்விசாரயாமாஸ, மமேதா³நீம்’ கிம்’ கர்த்தவ்யம்’? மம ப்ரியே புத்ரே ப்ரஹிதே தே தமவஸ்²யம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ஸமாத³ரிஷ்யந்தே|
So the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What should I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps when they see him they will have respect for him.’
14 கிந்து க்ரு’ஷீவலாஸ்தம்’ நிரீக்ஷ்ய பரஸ்பரம்’ விவிச்ய ப்ரோசு: , அயமுத்தராதி⁴காரீ ஆக³ச்ச²தைநம்’ ஹந்மஸ்ததோதி⁴காரோஸ்மாகம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
But when they saw him, the farmers discussed it among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him so that the inheritance will be ours.’
15 ததஸ்தே தம்’ க்ஷேத்ராத்³ ப³ஹி ர்நிபாத்ய ஜக்⁴நுஸ்தஸ்மாத் ஸ க்ஷேத்ரபதிஸ்தாந் ப்ரதி கிம்’ கரிஷ்யதி?
So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
16 ஸ ஆக³த்ய தாந் க்ரு’ஷீவலாந் ஹத்வா பரேஷாம்’ ஹஸ்தேஷு தத்க்ஷேத்ரம்’ ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதி; இதி கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா தே (அ)வத³ந் ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸீ² க⁴டநா ந ப⁴வது|
He will come and destroy those farmers and give the vineyard to others.” When the people heard this, they said, “Certainly not!”
17 கிந்து யீஸு²ஸ்தாநவலோக்ய ஜகா³த³, தர்ஹி, ஸ்த²பதய: கரிஷ்யந்தி க்³ராவாணம்’ யந்து துச்ச²கம்’| ப்ரதா⁴நப்ரஸ்தர: கோணே ஸ ஏவ ஹி ப⁴விஷ்யதி| ஏதஸ்ய ஸா²ஸ்த்ரீயவசநஸ்ய கிம்’ தாத்பர்ய்யம்’?
But Jesus looked at them and said, “What then is the meaning of this Scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?
18 அபரம்’ தத்பாஷாணோபரி ய: பதிஷ்யதி ஸ ப⁴ம்’க்ஷ்யதே கிந்து யஸ்யோபரி ஸ பாஷாண: பதிஷ்யதி ஸ தேந தூ⁴லிவச் சூர்ணீப⁴விஷ்யதி|
Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”
19 ஸோஸ்மாகம்’ விருத்³த⁴ம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தமிமம்’ கதி²தவாந் இதி ஜ்ஞாத்வா ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா அத்⁴யாபகாஸ்²ச ததை³வ தம்’ த⁴ர்தும்’ வவாஞ்சு²: கிந்து லோகேப்⁴யோ பி³ப்⁴யு: |
Then the chief priests and the scribes wanted to arrest him at that very hour, for they knew he had spoken this parable against them, but they were afraid.
20 அதஏவ தம்’ ப்ரதி ஸதர்கா: ஸந்த: கத²ம்’ தத்³வாக்யதோ³ஷம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா தம்’ தே³ஸா²தி⁴பஸ்ய ஸாது⁴வேஸ²தா⁴ரிணஸ்²சராந் தஸ்ய ஸமீபே ப்ரேஷயாமாஸு: |
So they watched him and sent spies who pretended to be sincere in order to catch him in something he said, so that they could deliver him up to the jurisdiction and authority of the governor.
21 ததா³ தே தம்’ பப்ரச்சு²: , ஹே உபதே³ஸ²க ப⁴வாந் யதா²ர்த²ம்’ கத²யந் உபதி³ஸ²தி, கமப்யநபேக்ஷ்ய ஸத்யத்வேநைஸ்²வரம்’ மார்க³முபதி³ஸ²தி, வயமேதஜ்ஜாநீம: |
The spies asked him, “Teacher, we know that yoʋ speak and teach correctly, and that yoʋ do not show partiality but teach the way of God in truth.
22 கைஸரராஜாய கரோஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்தே³யோ ந வா?
Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
23 ஸ தேஷாம்’ வஞ்சநம்’ ஜ்ஞாத்வாவத³த் குதோ மாம்’ பரீக்ஷத்⁴வே? மாம்’ முத்³ராமேகம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யத|
But perceiving their craftiness, Jesus said to them, “Why are you testing me?
24 இஹ லிகி²தா மூர்திரியம்’ நாம ச கஸ்ய? தே(அ)வத³ந் கைஸரஸ்ய|
Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?” They answered, “Caesar's.”
25 ததா³ ஸ உவாச, தர்ஹி கைஸரஸ்ய த்³ரவ்யம்’ கைஸராய த³த்த; ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய து த்³ரவ்யமீஸ்²வராய த³த்த|
He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”
26 தஸ்மால்லோகாநாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் தத்கதா²யா: கமபி தோ³ஷம்’ த⁴ர்துமப்ராப்ய தே தஸ்யோத்தராத்³ ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ மந்யமாநா மௌநிநஸ்தஸ்து²: |
So they were not able to catch him in what he said in the presence of the people. And being amazed at his answer, they fell silent.
27 அபரஞ்ச ஸ்²மஸா²நாது³த்தா²நாநங்கீ³காரிணாம்’ ஸிதூ³கிநாம்’ கியந்தோ ஜநா ஆக³த்ய தம்’ பப்ரச்சு²: ,
Now some of the Sadducees, who deny that there is a resurrection, came up and asked Jesus,
28 ஹே உபதே³ஸ²க ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே மூஸா அஸ்மாந் ப்ரதீதி லிலேக² யஸ்ய ப்⁴ராதா பா⁴ர்ய்யாயாம்’ ஸத்யாம்’ நி: ஸந்தாநோ ம்ரியதே ஸ தஜ்ஜாயாம்’ விவஹ்ய தத்³வம்’ஸ²ம் உத்பாத³யிஷ்யதி|
“Teacher, Moses wrote for us: ‘If a man's brother dies, leaving a wife but no children, that man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.’
29 ததா²ச கேசித் ஸப்த ப்⁴ராதர ஆஸந் தேஷாம்’ ஜ்யேஷ்டோ² ப்⁴ராதா விவஹ்ய நிரபத்ய: ப்ராணாந் ஜஹௌ|
Now there were seven brothers. The first married a woman and died childless.
30 அத² த்³விதீயஸ்தஸ்ய ஜாயாம்’ விவஹ்ய நிரபத்ய: ஸந் மமார| த்ரு’தீயஸ்²ச தாமேவ வ்யுவாஹ;
The second married the widow, and he also died childless.
31 இத்த²ம்’ ஸப்த ப்⁴ராதரஸ்தாமேவ விவஹ்ய நிரபத்யா: ஸந்தோ மம்ரு: |
Likewise, the third also married her. In the same way all seven died, leaving no children.
32 ஸே²ஷே ஸா ஸ்த்ரீ ச மமார|
Last of all, the woman also died.
33 அதஏவ ஸ்²மஸா²நாது³த்தா²நகாலே தேஷாம்’ ஸப்தஜநாநாம்’ கஸ்ய ஸா பா⁴ர்ய்யா ப⁴விஷ்யதி? யத: ஸா தேஷாம்’ ஸப்தாநாமேவ பா⁴ர்ய்யாஸீத்|
In the resurrection, therefore, which of them will she be the wife of? For the seven all had her as a wife.”
Jesus answered them, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage, (aiōn g165)
35 கிந்து யே தஜ்ஜக³த்ப்ராப்தியோக்³யத்வேந க³ணிதாம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி ஸ்²மஸா²நாச்சோத்தா²ஸ்யந்தி தே ந விவஹந்தி வாக்³த³த்தாஸ்²ச ந ப⁴வந்தி, (aiōn g165)
but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are they given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
36 தே புந ர்ந ம்ரியந்தே கிந்து ஸ்²மஸா²நாது³த்தா²பிதா: ஸந்த ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸந்தாநா: ஸ்வர்கீ³யதூ³தாநாம்’ ஸத்³ரு’ஸா²ஸ்²ச ப⁴வந்தி|
Indeed they can no longer die, for they are like angels. They are sons of God, since they are sons of the resurrection.
37 அதி⁴கந்து மூஸா: ஸ்தம்போ³பாக்²யாநே பரமேஸ்²வர ஈப்³ராஹீம ஈஸ்²வர இஸ்ஹாக ஈஸ்²வரோ யாகூப³ஸ்²சேஸ்²வர இத்யுக்த்வா ம்ரு’தாநாம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நாத்³ உத்தா²நஸ்ய ப்ரமாணம்’ லிலேக²|
But even Moses indicated that the dead are raised, when he said in the passage about the burning bush, ‘The Lord, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
38 அதஏவ ய ஈஸ்²வர: ஸ ம்ரு’தாநாம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ ர்ந கிந்து ஜீவதாமேவ ப்ரபு⁴: , தந்நிகடே ஸர்வ்வே ஜீவந்த: ஸந்தி|
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”
39 இதி ஸ்²ருத்வா கியந்தோத்⁴யாபகா ஊசு: , ஹே உபதே³ஸ²க ப⁴வாந் ப⁴த்³ரம்’ ப்ரத்யுக்தவாந்|
Then some of the scribes responded, “Teacher, yoʋ have spoken well.”
40 இத: பரம்’ தம்’ கிமபி ப்ரஷ்டம்’ தேஷாம்’ ப்ரக³ல்ப⁴தா நாபூ⁴த்|
And they no longer dared to ask him anything.
41 பஸ்²சாத் ஸ தாந் உவாச, ய: க்²ரீஷ்ட: ஸ தா³யூத³: ஸந்தாந ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ லோகா: கத²ம்’ கத²யந்தி?
Then Jesus said to them, “How can it be said that the Christ is the Son of David?
42 யத: மம ப்ரபு⁴மித³ம்’ வாக்யமவத³த் பரமேஸ்²வர: | தவ ஸ²த்ரூநஹம்’ யாவத் பாத³பீட²ம்’ கரோமி ந| தாவத் காலம்’ மதீ³யே த்வம்’ த³க்ஷபார்ஸ்²வ உபாவிஸ²|
Even David himself says in the Book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand
43 இதி கதா²ம்’ தா³யூத்³ ஸ்வயம்’ கீ³தக்³ரந்தே²(அ)வத³த்|
until I make yoʋr enemies a footstool for yoʋr feet.”’
44 அதஏவ யதி³ தா³யூத்³ தம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ம்’ வத³தி, தர்ஹி ஸ கத²ம்’ தஸ்ய ஸந்தாநோ ப⁴வதி?
David calls him ‘Lord,’ so how is he his son?”
45 பஸ்²சாத்³ யீஸு²: ஸர்வ்வஜநாநாம்’ கர்ணகோ³சரே ஸி²ஷ்யாநுவாச,
As all the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples,
46 யே(அ)த்⁴யாபகா தீ³ர்க⁴பரிச்ச²த³ம்’ பரிதா⁴ய ப்⁴ரமந்தி, ஹட்டாபணயோ ர்நமஸ்காரே ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹஸ்ய ப்ரோச்சாஸநே போ⁴ஜநக்³ரு’ஹஸ்ய ப்ரதா⁴நஸ்தா²நே ச ப்ரீயந்தே
“Beware of the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, and they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
47 வித⁴வாநாம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸ்வம்’ க்³ரஸித்வா ச²லேந தீ³ர்க⁴காலம்’ ப்ரார்த²யந்தே ச தேஷு ஸாவதா⁴நா ப⁴வத, தேஷாமுக்³ரத³ண்டோ³ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
They devour widows' houses and for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive a more severe judgment.”
