லூக: 12
1 ததா³நீம்’ லோகா: ஸஹஸ்ரம்’ ஸஹஸ்ரம் ஆக³த்ய ஸமுபஸ்தி²தாஸ்தத ஏகைகோ (அ)ந்யேஷாமுபரி பதிதும் உபசக்ரமே; ததா³ யீஸு²: ஸி²ஷ்யாந் ப³பா⁴ஷே, யூயம்’ பி²ரூஸி²நாம்’ கிண்வரூபகாபட்யே விஸே²ஷேண ஸாவதா⁴நாஸ்திஷ்ட²த|
Meanwhile, when a multitude of many thousands had gathered together, so much so that they trampled on each other, he began to tell his disciples first of all, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 யதோ யந்ந ப்ரகாஸ²யிஷ்யதே ததா³ச்ச²ந்நம்’ வஸ்து கிமபி நாஸ்தி; ததா² யந்ந ஜ்ஞாஸ்யதே தத்³ கு³ப்தம்’ வஸ்து கிமபி நாஸ்தி|
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
3 அந்த⁴காரே திஷ்ட²நதோ யா: கதா² அகத²யத தா: ஸர்வ்வா: கதா² தீ³ப்தௌ ஸ்²ரோஷ்யந்தே நிர்ஜநே கர்ணே ச யத³கத²யத க்³ரு’ஹப்ரு’ஷ்டா²த் தத் ப்ரசாரயிஷ்யதே|
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
4 ஹே ப³ந்த⁴வோ யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி, யே ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய நாஸ²ம்’ விநா கிமப்யபரம்’ கர்த்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்ருவந்தி தேப்⁴யோ மா பை⁴ஷ்ட|
“I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 தர்ஹி கஸ்மாத்³ பே⁴தவ்யம் இத்யஹம்’ வதா³மி, ய: ஸ²ரீரம்’ நாஸ²யித்வா நரகம்’ நிக்ஷேப்தும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி தஸ்மாதே³வ ப⁴யம்’ குருத, புநரபி வதா³மி தஸ்மாதே³வ ப⁴யம்’ குருத| (Geenna g1067)
But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Geenna g1067)
6 பஞ்ச சடகபக்ஷிண: கிம்’ த்³வாப்⁴யாம்’ தாம்ரக²ண்டா³ப்⁴யாம்’ ந விக்ரீயந்தே? ததா²பீஸ்²வரஸ்தேஷாம் ஏகமபி ந விஸ்மரதி|
“Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God.
7 யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸி²ர: கேஸா² அபி க³ணிதா: ஸந்தி தஸ்மாத் மா விபீ⁴த ப³ஹுசடகபக்ஷிப்⁴யோபி யூயம்’ ப³ஹுமூல்யா: |
But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
8 அபரம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ கத²யாமி ய: கஸ்²சிந் மாநுஷாணாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாந் மாம்’ ஸ்வீகரோதி மநுஷ்யபுத்ர ஈஸ்²வரதூ³தாநாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் தம்’ ஸ்வீகரிஷ்யதி|
“I tell you, everyone who confesses me before men, the Son of Man will also confess before the angels of God;
9 கிந்து ய: கஸ்²சிந்மாநுஷாணாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாந்மாம் அஸ்வீகரோதி தம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய தூ³தாநாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத்³ அஹம் அஸ்வீகரிஷ்யாமி|
but he who denies me in the presence of men will be denied in the presence of God’s angels.
10 அந்யச்ச ய: கஸ்²சிந் மநுஜஸுதஸ்ய நிந்தா³பா⁴வேந காஞ்சித் கதா²ம்’ கத²யதி தஸ்ய தத்பாபஸ்ய மோசநம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி கிந்து யதி³ கஸ்²சித் பவித்ரம் ஆத்மாநம்’ நிந்த³தி தர்ஹி தஸ்ய தத்பாபஸ்ய மோசநம்’ ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
11 யதா³ லோகா யுஷ்மாந் ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹம்’ விசாரகர்த்ரு’ராஜ்யகர்த்ரு’ணாம்’ ஸம்முக²ஞ்ச நேஷ்யந்தி ததா³ கேந ப்ரகாரேண கிமுத்தரம்’ வதி³ஷ்யத² கிம்’ கத²யிஷ்யத² சேத்யத்ர மா சிந்தயத;
When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer or what you will say;
12 யதோ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ர்யத்³ யத்³ வக்தவ்யம்’ தத் தஸ்மிந் ஸமயஏவ பவித்ர ஆத்மா யுஷ்மாந் ஸி²க்ஷயிஷ்யதி|
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”
13 தத: பரம்’ ஜநதாமத்⁴யஸ்த²: கஸ்²சிஜ்ஜநஸ்தம்’ ஜகா³த³ ஹே கு³ரோ மயா ஸஹ பைத்ரு’கம்’ த⁴நம்’ விப⁴க்தும்’ மம ப்⁴ராதரமாஜ்ஞாபயது ப⁴வாந்|
One of the multitude said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14 கிந்து ஸ தமவத³த் ஹே மநுஷ்ய யுவயோ ர்விசாரம்’ விபா⁴க³ஞ்ச கர்த்தும்’ மாம்’ கோ நியுக்தவாந்?
But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”
15 அநந்தரம்’ ஸ லோகாநவத³த் லோபே⁴ ஸாவதா⁴நா: ஸதர்காஸ்²ச திஷ்ட²த, யதோ ப³ஹுஸம்பத்திப்ராப்த்யா மநுஷ்யஸ்யாயு ர்ந ப⁴வதி|
He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
16 பஸ்²சாத்³ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²முத்தா²ப்ய கத²யாமாஸ, ஏகஸ்ய த⁴நிநோ பூ⁴மௌ ப³ஹூநி ஸ²ஸ்யாநி ஜாதாநி|
He spoke a parable to them, saying, “The ground of a certain rich man produced abundantly.
17 தத: ஸ மநஸா சிந்தயித்வா கத²யாம்ப³பூ⁴வ மமைதாநி ஸமுத்பந்நாநி த்³ரவ்யாணி ஸ்தா²பயிதும்’ ஸ்தா²நம்’ நாஸ்தி கிம்’ கரிஷ்யாமி?
He reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What will I do, because I don’t have room to store my crops?’
18 ததோவத³த்³ இத்த²ம்’ கரிஷ்யாமி, மம ஸர்வ்வபா⁴ண்டா³கா³ராணி ப⁴ங்க்த்வா ப்³ரு’ஹத்³பா⁴ண்டா³கா³ராணி நிர்ம்மாய தந்மத்⁴யே ஸர்வ்வப²லாநி த்³ரவ்யாணி ச ஸ்தா²பயிஷ்யாமி|
He said, ‘This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 அபரம்’ நிஜமநோ வதி³ஷ்யாமி, ஹே மநோ ப³ஹுவத்ஸரார்த²ம்’ நாநாத்³ரவ்யாணி ஸஞ்சிதாநி ஸந்தி விஸ்²ராமம்’ குரு பு⁴க்த்வா பீத்வா கௌதுகஞ்ச குரு| கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரஸ்தம் அவத³த்,
I will tell my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”’
20 ரே நிர்போ³த⁴ அத்³ய ராத்ரௌ தவ ப்ராணாஸ்த்வத்தோ நேஷ்யந்தே தத ஏதாநி யாநி த்³ரவ்யாணி த்வயாஸாதி³தாநி தாநி கஸ்ய ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி?
“But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared—whose will they be?’
21 அதஏவ ய: கஸ்²சித்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸமீபே த⁴நஸஞ்சயமக்ரு’த்வா கேவலம்’ ஸ்வநிகடே ஸஞ்சயம்’ கரோதி ஸோபி தாத்³ரு’ஸ²: |
So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
22 அத² ஸ ஸி²ஷ்யேப்⁴ய: கத²யாமாஸ, யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி, கிம்’ கா²தி³ஷ்யாம: ? கிம்’ பரிதா⁴ஸ்யாம: ? இத்யுக்த்வா ஜீவநஸ்ய ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய சார்த²ம்’ சிந்தாம்’ மா கார்ஷ்ட|
He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.
23 ப⁴க்ஷ்யாஜ்ஜீவநம்’ பூ⁴ஷணாச்ச²ரீரஞ்ச ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²ம்’ ப⁴வதி|
Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
24 காகபக்ஷிணாம்’ கார்ய்யம்’ விசாரயத, தே ந வபந்தி ஸ²ஸ்யாநி ச ந சி²ந்த³ந்தி, தேஷாம்’ பா⁴ண்டா³கா³ராணி ந ஸந்தி கோஷாஸ்²ச ந ஸந்தி, ததா²பீஸ்²வரஸ்தேப்⁴யோ ப⁴க்ஷ்யாணி த³தா³தி, யூயம்’ பக்ஷிப்⁴ய: ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²தரா ந கிம்’?
Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!
25 அபரஞ்ச பா⁴வயித்வா நிஜாயுஷ: க்ஷணமாத்ரம்’ வர்த்³த⁴யிதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி, ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸோ² லாகோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே கோஸ்தி?
Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?
26 அதஏவ க்ஷுத்³ரம்’ கார்ய்யம்’ ஸாத⁴யிதும் அஸமர்தா² யூயம் அந்யஸ்மிந் கார்ய்யே குதோ பா⁴வயத²?
If then you aren’t able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 அந்யச்ச காம்பிலபுஷ்பம்’ கத²ம்’ வர்த்³த⁴தே ததா³பி விசாரயத, தத் கஞ்சந ஸ்²ரமம்’ ந கரோதி தந்தூம்’ஸ்²ச ந ஜநயதி கிந்து யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ கத²யாமி ஸுலேமாந் ப³ஹ்வைஸ்²வர்ய்யாந்விதோபி புஷ்பஸ்யாஸ்ய ஸத்³ரு’ஸோ² விபூ⁴ஷிதோ நாஸீத்|
Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 அத்³ய க்ஷேத்ரே வர்த்தமாநம்’ ஸ்²வஸ்²சூல்ல்யாம்’ க்ஷேப்ஸ்யமாநம்’ யத் த்ரு’ணம்’, தஸ்மை யதீ³ஸ்²வர இத்த²ம்’ பூ⁴ஷயதி தர்ஹி ஹே அல்பப்ரத்யயிநோ யுஷ்மாந கிம்’ ந பரிதா⁴பயிஷ்யதி?
But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?
29 அதஏவ கிம்’ கா²தி³ஷ்யாம: ? கிம்’ பரிதா⁴ஸ்யாம: ? ஏதத³ர்த²ம்’ மா சேஷ்டத்⁴வம்’ மா ஸம்’தி³க்³த்⁴வஞ்ச|
“Don’t seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.
30 ஜக³தோ தே³வார்ச்சகா ஏதாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி சேஷ்டநதே; ஏஷு வஸ்துஷு யுஷ்மாகம்’ ப்ரயோஜநமாஸ்தே இதி யுஷ்மாகம்’ பிதா ஜாநாதி|
For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.
31 அதஏவேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யார்த²ம்’ ஸசேஷ்டா ப⁴வத ததா² க்ரு’தே ஸர்வ்வாண்யேதாநி த்³ரவ்யாணி யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ ப்ரதா³யிஷ்யந்தே|
But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.
32 ஹே க்ஷுத்³ரமேஷவ்ரஜ யூயம்’ மா பை⁴ஷ்ட யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ ராஜ்யம்’ தா³தும்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ பிது: ஸம்மதிரஸ்தி|
“Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
33 அதஏவ யுஷ்மாகம்’ யா யா ஸம்பத்திரஸ்தி தாம்’ தாம்’ விக்ரீய விதரத, யத் ஸ்தா²நம்’ சௌரா நாக³ச்ச²ந்தி, கீடாஸ்²ச ந க்ஷாயயந்தி தாத்³ரு’ஸே² ஸ்வர்கே³ நிஜார்த²ம் அஜரே ஸம்புடகே (அ)க்ஷயம்’ த⁴நம்’ ஸஞ்சிநுத ச;
Sell what you have and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
34 யதோ யத்ர யுஷ்மாகம்’ த⁴நம்’ வர்த்ததே தத்ரேவ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மந: |
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 அபரஞ்ச யூயம்’ ப்ரதீ³பம்’ ஜ்வாலயித்வா ப³த்³த⁴கடயஸ்திஷ்ட²த;
“Let your waist be dressed and your lamps burning.
36 ப்ரபு⁴ ர்விவாஹாதா³க³த்ய யதை³வ த்³வாரமாஹந்தி ததை³வ த்³வாரம்’ மோசயிதும்’ யதா² ப்⁴ரு’த்யா அபேக்ஷ்ய திஷ்ட²ந்தி ததா² யூயமபி திஷ்ட²த|
Be like men watching for their lord when he returns from the wedding feast, that when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.
37 யத: ப்ரபு⁴ராக³த்ய யாந் தா³ஸாந் ஸசேதநாந் திஷ்ட²தோ த்³ரக்ஷ்யதி தஏவ த⁴ந்யா: ; அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் யதா²ர்த²ம்’ வதா³மி ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தாந் போ⁴ஜநார்த²ம் உபவேஸ்²ய ஸ்வயம்’ ப³த்³த⁴கடி: ஸமீபமேத்ய பரிவேஷயிஷ்யதி|
Blessed are those servants whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you that he will dress himself, make them recline, and will come and serve them.
38 யதி³ த்³விதீயே த்ரு’தீயே வா ப்ரஹரே ஸமாக³த்ய ததை²வ பஸ்²யதி, தர்ஹி தஏவ தா³ஸா த⁴ந்யா: |
They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch and finds them so.
39 அபரஞ்ச கஸ்மிந் க்ஷணே சௌரா ஆக³மிஷ்யந்தி இதி யதி³ க்³ரு’ஹபதி ர்ஜ்ஞாதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி ததா³வஸ்²யம்’ ஜாக்³ரந் நிஜக்³ரு’ஹே ஸந்தி⁴ம்’ கர்த்தயிதும்’ வாரயதி யூயமேதத்³ வித்த|
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
40 அதஏவ யூயமபி ஸஜ்ஜமாநாஸ்திஷ்ட²த யதோ யஸ்மிந் க்ஷணே தம்’ நாப்ரேக்ஷத்⁴வே தஸ்மிந்நேவ க்ஷணே மநுஷ்யபுத்ர ஆக³மிஷ்யதி|
Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don’t expect him.”
41 ததா³ பிதர: பப்ரச்ச², ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ ப⁴வாந் கிமஸ்மாந் உத்³தி³ஸ்²ய கிம்’ ஸர்வ்வாந் உத்³தி³ஸ்²ய த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²மிமாம்’ வத³தி?
Peter said to him, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everybody?”
42 தத: ப்ரபு⁴: ப்ரோவாச, ப்ரபு⁴: ஸமுசிதகாலே நிஜபரிவாரார்த²ம்’ போ⁴ஜ்யபரிவேஷணாய யம்’ தத்பதே³ நியோக்ஷ்யதி தாத்³ரு’ஸோ² விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ போ³த்³தா⁴ கர்ம்மாதீ⁴ஸ²: கோஸ்தி?
The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?
43 ப்ரபு⁴ராக³த்ய யம் ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸே² கர்ம்மணி ப்ரவ்ரு’த்தம்’ த்³ரக்ஷ்யதி ஸஏவ தா³ஸோ த⁴ந்ய: |
Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.
44 அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் யதா²ர்த²ம்’ வதா³மி ஸ தம்’ நிஜஸர்வ்வஸ்வஸ்யாதி⁴பதிம்’ கரிஷ்யதி|
Truly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.
45 கிந்து ப்ரபு⁴ர்விலம்பே³நாக³மிஷ்யதி, இதி விசிந்த்ய ஸ தா³ஸோ யதி³ தத³ந்யதா³ஸீதா³ஸாந் ப்ரஹர்த்தும் போ⁴க்தும்’ பாதும்’ மதி³துஞ்ச ப்ராரப⁴தே,
But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My lord delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and to be drunken,
46 தர்ஹி யதா³ ப்ரபு⁴ம்’ நாபேக்ஷிஷ்யதே யஸ்மிந் க்ஷணே ஸோ(அ)சேதநஸ்²ச ஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி தஸ்மிந்நேவ க்ஷணே தஸ்ய ப்ரபு⁴ராக³த்ய தம்’ பத³ப்⁴ரஷ்டம்’ க்ரு’த்வா விஸ்²வாஸஹீநை: ஸஹ தஸ்ய அம்’ஸ²ம்’ நிரூபயிஷ்யதி|
then the lord of that servant will come in a day when he isn’t expecting him and in an hour that he doesn’t know, and will cut him in two, and place his portion with the unfaithful.
47 யோ தா³ஸ: ப்ரபே⁴ராஜ்ஞாம்’ ஜ்ஞாத்வாபி ஸஜ்ஜிதோ ந திஷ்ட²தி ததா³ஜ்ஞாநுஸாரேண ச கார்ய்யம்’ ந கரோதி ஸோநேகாந் ப்ரஹாராந் ப்ராப்ஸ்யதி;
That servant who knew his lord’s will, and didn’t prepare nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes,
48 கிந்து யோ ஜநோ(அ)ஜ்ஞாத்வா ப்ரஹாரார்ஹம்’ கர்ம்ம கரோதி ஸோல்பப்ரஹாராந் ப்ராப்ஸ்யதி| யதோ யஸ்மை பா³ஹுல்யேந த³த்தம்’ தஸ்மாதே³வ பா³ஹுல்யேந க்³ரஹீஷ்யதே, மாநுஷா யஸ்ய நிகடே ப³ஹு ஸமர்பயந்தி தஸ்மாத்³ ப³ஹு யாசந்தே|
but he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
49 அஹம்’ ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாம் அநைக்யரூபம்’ வஹ்நி நிக்ஷேப்தும் ஆக³தோஸ்மி, ஸ சேத்³ இதா³நீமேவ ப்ரஜ்வலதி தத்ர மம கா சிந்தா?
“I came to throw fire on the earth. I wish it were already kindled.
50 கிந்து யேந மஜ்ஜநேநாஹம்’ மக்³நோ ப⁴விஷ்யாமி யாவத்காலம்’ தஸ்ய ஸித்³தி⁴ ர்ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி தாவத³ஹம்’ கதிகஷ்டம்’ ப்ராப்ஸ்யாமி|
But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!
51 மேலநம்’ கர்த்தும்’ ஜக³த்³ ஆக³தோஸ்மி யூயம்’ கிமித்த²ம்’ போ³த⁴த்⁴வே? யுஷ்மாந் வதா³மி ந ததா², கிந்த்வஹம்’ மேலநாபா⁴வம்’ கர்த்தும்’ம் ஆக³தோஸ்மி|
Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.
52 யஸ்மாதே³தத்காலமாரப்⁴ய ஏகத்ரஸ்த²பரிஜநாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே பஞ்சஜநா: ப்ரு’த²க்³ பூ⁴த்வா த்ரயோ ஜநா த்³வயோர்ஜநயோ: ப்ரதிகூலா த்³வௌ ஜநௌ ச த்ரயாணாம்’ ஜநாநாம்’ ப்ரதிகூலௌ ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி|
For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 பிதா புத்ரஸ்ய விபக்ஷ: புத்ரஸ்²ச பிது ர்விபக்ஷோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி மாதா கந்யாயா விபக்ஷா கந்யா ச மாது ர்விபக்ஷா ப⁴விஷ்யதி, ததா² ஸ்²வஸ்²ரூர்ப³த்⁴வா விபக்ஷா ப³தூ⁴ஸ்²ச ஸ்²வஸ்²ர்வா விபக்ஷா ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
54 ஸ லோகேப்⁴யோபரமபி கத²யாமாஸ, பஸ்²சிமதி³ஸி² மேகோ⁴த்³க³மம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா யூயம்’ ஹடா²த்³ வத³த² வ்ரு’ஷ்டி ர்ப⁴விஷ்யதி ததஸ்ததை²வ ஜாயதே|
He said to the multitudes also, “When you see a cloud rising from the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it happens.
55 அபரம்’ த³க்ஷிணதோ வாயௌ வாதி ஸதி வத³த² நிதா³கோ⁴ ப⁴விஷ்யதி தத: ஸோபி ஜாயதே|
When a south wind blows, you say, ‘There will be a scorching heat,’ and it happens.
56 ரே ரே கபடிந ஆகாஸ²ஸ்ய பூ⁴ம்யாஸ்²ச லக்ஷணம்’ போ³த்³து⁴ம்’ ஸ²க்நுத²,
You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that you don’t interpret this time?
57 கிந்து காலஸ்யாஸ்ய லக்ஷணம்’ குதோ போ³த்³து⁴ம்’ ந ஸ²க்நுத²? யூயஞ்ச ஸ்வயம்’ குதோ ந ந்யாஷ்யம்’ விசாரயத²?
“Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?
58 அபரஞ்ச விவாதி³நா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ விசாரயிது: ஸமீபம்’ க³ச்ச²ந் பதி² தஸ்மாது³த்³தா⁴ரம்’ ப்ராப்தும்’ யதஸ்வ நோசேத் ஸ த்வாம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா விசாரயிது: ஸமீபம்’ நயதி| விசாரயிதா யதி³ த்வாம்’ ப்ரஹர்த்து: ஸமீபம்’ ஸமர்பயதி ப்ரஹர்த்தா த்வாம்’ காராயாம்’ ப³த்⁴நாதி
For when you are going with your adversary before the magistrate, try diligently on the way to be released from him, lest perhaps he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.
59 தர்ஹி த்வாமஹம்’ வதா³மி த்வயா நி: ஸே²ஷம்’ கபர்த³கேஷு ந பரிஸோ²தி⁴தேஷு த்வம்’ ததோ முக்திம்’ ப்ராப்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யஸி|
I tell you, you will by no means get out of there until you have paid the very last penny.”
