யோஹந: 4
1 யீஸு²: ஸ்வயம்’ நாமஜ்ஜயத் கேவலம்’ தஸ்ய ஸி²ஷ்யா அமஜ்ஜயத் கிந்து யோஹநோ(அ)தி⁴கஸி²ஷ்யாந் ஸ கரோதி மஜ்ஜயதி ச,
Assone as the Lorde had knowledge how the Pharises had hearde that Iesus made and baptised moo disciples then Iohn
2 பி²ரூஸி²ந இமாம்’ வார்த்தாமஸ்²ரு’ண்வந் இதி ப்ரபு⁴ரவக³த்ய
(though that Iesus him selfe baptised not: but his disciples)
3 யிஹூதீ³யதே³ஸ²ம்’ விஹாய புந ர்கா³லீலம் ஆக³த்|
he lefte Iewry and departed agayne into Galile.
4 தத: ஸோ²மிரோணப்ரதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய மத்³யேந தேந க³ந்தவ்யே ஸதி
And it was so that he must nedes goo thorowe Samaria.
5 யாகூப்³ நிஜபுத்ராய யூஷபே² யாம்’ பூ⁴மிம் அத³தா³த் தத்ஸமீபஸ்தா²யி ஸோ²மிரோணப்ரதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய ஸுகா²ர் நாம்நா விக்²யாதஸ்ய நக³ரஸ்ய ஸந்நிதா⁴வுபாஸ்தா²த்|
Then came he to a cyte of Samaria called Sichar besydes the possession that Iacob gave to his sonne Ioseph.
6 தத்ர யாகூப³: ப்ரஹிராஸீத்; ததா³ த்³விதீயயாமவேலாயாம்’ ஜாதாயாம்’ ஸ மார்கே³ ஸ்²ரமாபந்நஸ்தஸ்ய ப்ரஹே: பார்ஸ்²வே உபாவிஸ²த்|
And there was Iacobs well. Iesus then weryed in his iorney sate thus on the well. And it was about the sixte houre:
7 ஏதர்ஹி காசித் ஸோ²மிரோணீயா யோஷித் தோயோத்தோலநார்த²ம் தத்ராக³மத்
and there came a woman of Samaria to drawe water. And Iesus sayde vnto her: geve me drynke.
8 ததா³ ஸி²ஷ்யா: கா²த்³யத்³ரவ்யாணி க்ரேதும்’ நக³ரம் அக³ச்ச²ந்|
For his disciples were gone awaye vnto the toune to bye meate.
9 யீஸு²: ஸோ²மிரோணீயாம்’ தாம்’ யோஷிதம் வ்யாஹார்ஷீத் மஹ்யம்’ கிஞ்சித் பாநீயம்’ பாதும்’ தே³ஹி| கிந்து ஸோ²மிரோணீயை: ஸாகம்’ யிஹூதீ³யலோகா ந வ்யவாஹரந் தஸ்மாத்³தே⁴தோ: ஸாகத²யத் ஸோ²மிரோணீயா யோஷிதத³ஹம்’ த்வம்’ யிஹூதீ³யோஸி கத²ம்’ மத்த: பாநீயம்’ பாதும் இச்ச²ஸி?
Then sayde the woman of Samaria vnto him: how is it that thou beinge a Iewe axest drinke of me which am a Samaritane? for the Iewes medle not with the Samaritans.
10 ததோ யீஸு²ரவத³த்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய யத்³தா³நம்’ தத்கீத்³ரு’க் பாநீயம்’ பாதும்’ மஹ்யம்’ தே³ஹி ய இத்த²ம்’ த்வாம்’ யாசதே ஸ வா க இதி சேத³ஜ்ஞாஸ்யதா²ஸ்தர்ஹி தமயாசிஷ்யதா²: ஸ ச துப்⁴யமம்ரு’தம்’ தோயமதா³ஸ்யத்|
Iesus answered and sayde vnto hir: yf thou knewest the gyfte of God and who it is that sayeth to the geve me drynke thou woldest have axed of him and he wolde have geven the water of lyfe.
11 ததா³ ஸா ஸீமந்திநீ பா⁴ஷிதவதி, ஹே மஹேச்ச² ப்ரஹிர்க³ம்பீ⁴ரோ ப⁴வதோ நீரோத்தோலநபாத்ரம்’ நாஸ்தீ ச தஸ்மாத் தத³ம்ரு’தம்’ கீலாலம்’ குத: ப்ராப்ஸ்யஸி?
The woman sayde vnto him. Syr thou hast no thinge to drawe with and the well is depe: from whence then hast thou yt water of lyfe?
12 யோஸ்மப்⁴யம் இமமந்தூ⁴ம்’ த³தௌ³, யஸ்ய ச பரிஜநா கோ³மேஷாத³யஸ்²ச ஸர்வ்வே(அ)ஸ்ய ப்ரஹே: பாநீயம்’ பபுரேதாத்³ரு’ஸோ² யோஸ்மாகம்’ பூர்வ்வபுருஷோ யாகூப்³ தஸ்மாத³பி ப⁴வாந் மஹாந் கிம்’?
Arte thou greater then oure father Iacob which gave vs the well and he him silfe dranke therof and his chyldren and his catell?
13 ததோ யீஸு²ரகத²யத்³ இத³ம்’ பாநீயம்’ ஸ: பிவதி ஸ புநஸ்த்ரு’ஷார்த்தோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி,
Iesus answered and sayde vnto hir: whosoever drinketh of this water shall thurst agayne.
15 ததா³ ஸா வநிதாகத²யத் ஹே மஹேச்ச² தர்ஹி மம புந: பீபாஸா யதா² ந ஜாயதே தோயோத்தோலநாய யதா²த்ராக³மநம்’ ந ப⁴வதி ச தத³ர்த²ம்’ மஹ்யம்’ தத்தோயம்’ தே³ஹீ|
The woma sayd vnto him: Syr geve me of that water that I thyrst not nether come hedder to drawe.
16 ததோ யீஸூ²ரவத³த்³யாஹி தவ பதிமாஹூய ஸ்தா²நே(அ)த்ராக³ச்ச²|
Iesus sayde vnto her. Go and call thy husband and come hydder.
17 ஸா வாமாவத³த் மம பதிர்நாஸ்தி| யீஸு²ரவத³த் மம பதிர்நாஸ்தீதி வாக்யம்’ ப⁴த்³ரமவோச: |
The woman answered and sayde to him: I have no husband.
18 யதஸ்தவ பஞ்ச பதயோப⁴வந் அது⁴நா து த்வயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யஸ்திஷ்ட²தி ஸ தவ ப⁴ர்த்தா ந வாக்யமித³ம்’ ஸத்யமவாதி³: |
Iesus sayde to her. Thou hast well sayd I have no husbande. For thou haste had five husbandes and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband. That saydest thou truely.
19 ததா³ ஸா மஹிலா க³தி³தவதி ஹே மஹேச்ச² ப⁴வாந் ஏகோ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³தி பு³த்³த⁴ம்’ மயா|
The woman sayde vnto him: Syr I perceave yt thou arte a prophet.
20 அஸ்மாகம்’ பித்ரு’லோகா ஏதஸ்மிந் ஸி²லோச்சயே(அ)ப⁴ஜந்த, கிந்து ப⁴வத்³பி⁴ருச்யதே யிரூஸா²லம் நக³ரே ப⁴ஜநயோக்³யம்’ ஸ்தா²நமாஸ்தே|
Oure fathers worshipped in this mountayne: and ye saye that in Hierusalem is the place where men ought to worshippe.
21 யீஸு²ரவோசத் ஹே யோஷித் மம வாக்யே விஸ்²வஸிஹி யதா³ யூயம்’ கேவலஸை²லே(அ)ஸ்மிந் வா யிரூஸா²லம் நக³ரே பிதுர்ப⁴ஜநம்’ ந கரிஷ்யத்⁴வே கால ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ² ஆயாதி|
Iesus sayde vnto her: woman beleve me the houre cometh when ye shall nether in this moutayne nor yet at Ierusalem worshippe the father.
22 யூயம்’ யம்’ ப⁴ஜத்⁴வே தம்’ ந ஜாநீத², கிந்து வயம்’ யம்’ ப⁴ஜாமஹே தம்’ ஜாநீமஹே, யதோ யிஹூதீ³யலோகாநாம்’ மத்⁴யாத் பரித்ராணம்’ ஜாயதே|
Ye worshippe ye wot not what: we knowe what we worshippe. For salvacion cometh of the Iewes.
23 கிந்து யதா³ ஸத்யப⁴க்தா ஆத்மநா ஸத்யரூபேண ச பிதுர்ப⁴ஜநம்’ கரிஷ்யந்தே ஸமய ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ² ஆயாதி, வரம் இதா³நீமபி வித்³யதே; யத ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸோ² ப⁴த்காந் பிதா சேஷ்டதே|
But the houre commeth and nowe is when the true worshippers shall worshippe the father in sprete and in trouthe. For verely suche the father requyreth to worshippe him.
24 ஈஸ்²வர ஆத்மா; ததஸ்தஸ்ய யே ப⁴க்தாஸ்தை: ஸ ஆத்மநா ஸத்யரூபேண ச ப⁴ஜநீய: |
God is a sprete and they that worshippe him must worshippe him in sprete and trouthe.
25 ததா³ ஸா மஹிலாவாதீ³த் க்²ரீஷ்டநாம்நா விக்²யாதோ(அ)பி⁴ஷிக்த: புருஷ ஆக³மிஷ்யதீதி ஜாநாமி ஸ ச ஸர்வ்வா: கதா² அஸ்மாந் ஜ்ஞாபயிஷ்யதி|
The woman sayde vnto him: I wot well Messias shall come which is called Christ. When he is come he will tell vs all thinges.
26 ததோ யீஸு²ரவத³த் த்வயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ கத²நம்’ கரோமி யோ(அ)ஹம் அஹமேவ ஸ புருஷ: |
Iesus sayde vnto hir: I that speake vnto the am he.
27 ஏதஸ்மிந் ஸமயே ஸி²ஷ்யா ஆக³த்ய ததா² ஸ்த்ரியா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ தஸ்ய கதோ²பகத²நே மஹாஸ்²சர்ய்யம் அமந்யந்த ததா²பி ப⁴வாந் கிமிச்ச²தி? யத்³வா கிமர்த²ம் ஏதயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ கதா²ம்’ கத²யதி? இதி கோபி நாப்ரு’ச்ச²த்|
And eve at that poynte came his disciples and marvelled that he talked with the woman. Yet no man sayde vnto him: what meanest thou or why talkest thou with her?
28 தத: பரம்’ ஸா நாரீ கலஸ²ம்’ ஸ்தா²பயித்வா நக³ரமத்⁴யம்’ க³த்வா லோகேப்⁴யோகதா²யத்³
The woma then lefte her waterpot and went her waye into the cite and sayde to the men.
29 அஹம்’ யத்³யத் கர்ம்மாகரவம்’ தத்ஸர்வ்வம்’ மஹ்யமகத²யத்³ ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ மாநவமேகம் ஆக³த்ய பஸ்²யத ரு கிம் அபி⁴ஷிக்தோ ந ப⁴வதி?
Come se a man which tolde me all thinges yt ever I dyd. Is not he Christ?
30 ததஸ்தே நக³ராத்³ ப³ஹிராக³த்ய தாதஸ்ய ஸமீபம் ஆயந்|
Then they went ont of the cite and came vnto him.
31 ஏதர்ஹி ஸி²ஷ்யா: ஸாத⁴யித்வா தம்’ வ்யாஹார்ஷு: ஹே கு³ரோ ப⁴வாந் கிஞ்சித்³ பூ⁴க்தாம்’|
And in ye meane while his disciples prayed him sayinge: Master eate.
32 தத: ஸோவத³த்³ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ர்யந்ந ஜ்ஞாயதே தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ப⁴க்ஷ்யம்’ மமாஸ்தே|
He sayde vnto the: I have meate to eate that ye knowe not of.
33 ததா³ ஸி²ஷ்யா: பரஸ்பரம்’ ப்ரஷ்டும் ஆரம்ப⁴ந்த, கிமஸ்மை கோபி கிமபி ப⁴க்ஷ்யமாநீய த³த்தவாந்?
Then sayd ye disciples bitwene them selves: hath eny ma brought him meate?
34 யீஸு²ரவோசத் மத்ப்ரேரகஸ்யாபி⁴மதாநுரூபகரணம்’ தஸ்யைவ கர்ம்மஸித்³தி⁴காரணஞ்ச மம ப⁴க்ஷ்யம்’|
Iesus sayde vnto them: my meate is to doo the will of him that sent me. And to fynnysshe his worke.
35 மாஸசதுஷ்டயே ஜாதே ஸ²ஸ்யகர்த்தநஸமயோ ப⁴விஷ்யதீதி வாக்யம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: கிம்’ நோத்³யதே? கிந்த்வஹம்’ வதா³மி, ஸி²ர உத்தோல்ய க்ஷேத்ராணி ப்ரதி நிரீக்ஷ்ய பஸ்²யத, இதா³நீம்’ கர்த்தநயோக்³யாநி ஸு²க்லவர்ணாந்யப⁴வந்|
Saye not ye: there are yet foure monethes and then cometh harvest? Beholde I saye vnto you lyfte vp youre eyes and loke on ye regios: for they are whyte all redy vnto harvest.
36 யஸ்²சி²நத்தி ஸ வேதநம்’ லப⁴தே அநந்தாயு: ஸ்வரூபம்’ ஸ²ஸ்யம்’ ஸ க்³ரு’ஹ்லாதி ச, தேநைவ வப்தா சே²த்தா ச யுக³பத்³ ஆநந்த³த: | (aiōnios g166)
And he ye repeth receaveth rewarde and gaddereth frute vnto life eternall: that bothe he that soweth and he yt repeth myght reioyse to gether. (aiōnios g166)
37 இத்த²ம்’ ஸதி வபத்யேகஸ்²சி²நத்யந்ய இதி வசநம்’ ஸித்³த்⁴யதி|
And herin is the sayinge true yt one soweth and another repeth.
38 யத்ர யூயம்’ ந பர்ய்யஸ்²ராம்யத தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ஸ²ஸ்யம்’ சே²த்தும்’ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரைரயம் அந்யே ஜநா: பர்ய்யஸ்²ராம்யந் யூயம்’ தேஷாம்’ ஸ்²ரக³ஸ்ய ப²லம் அலப⁴த்⁴வம்|
I sent you to repe yt whero ye bestowed no laboure. Other men laboured and ye are entred into their labours.
39 யஸ்மிந் காலே யத்³யத் கர்ம்மாகார்ஷம்’ தத்ஸர்வ்வம்’ ஸ மஹ்யம் அகத²யத் தஸ்யா வநிதாயா இத³ம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யவாக்யம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா தந்நக³ரநிவாஸிநோ ப³ஹவ: ஸோ²மிரோணீயலோகா வ்யஸ்²வஸந்|
Many of the Samaritas of that cyte beleved on him for ye sayinge of the woma which testified: he tolde me all thinges yt ever I dyd.
40 ததா² ச தஸ்யாந்திகே ஸமுபஸ்தா²ய ஸ்வேஷாம்’ ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ கதிசித்³ தி³நாநி ஸ்தா²தும்’ தஸ்மிந் விநயம் அகுர்வ்வாந தஸ்மாத் ஸ தி³நத்³வயம்’ தத்ஸ்தா²நே ந்யவஷ்டத்
Then when the Samaritas were come vnto him they besought him yt he wolde tary wt the. And he aboode there two dayes.
41 ததஸ்தஸ்யோபதே³ஸே²ந ப³ஹவோ(அ)பரே விஸ்²வஸ்ய
And many moo beleved because of his awne wordes
42 தாம்’ யோஷாமவத³ந் கேவலம்’ தவ வாக்யேந ப்ரதீம இதி ந, கிந்து ஸ ஜக³தோ(அ)பி⁴ஷிக்தஸ்த்ராதேதி தஸ்ய கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா வயம்’ ஸ்வயமேவாஜ்ஞாஸமஹி|
and sayd vnto the woman: Now we beleve not because of thy sayinge. For we have herde him oure selves and knowe that this is even in dede Christ the savioure of the worlde.
43 ஸ்வதே³ஸே² ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வக்து: ஸத்காரோ நாஸ்தீதி யத்³யபி யீஸு²: ப்ரமாணம்’ த³த்வாகத²யத்
After two dayes he departed thence and wet awaye into Galile.
44 ததா²பி தி³வஸத்³வயாத் பரம்’ ஸ தஸ்மாத் ஸ்தா²நாத்³ கா³லீலம்’ க³தவாந்|
And Iesus him selfe testified that a Prophete hath none honoure in his awne countre.
45 அநந்தரம்’ யே கா³லீலீ லியலோகா உத்ஸவே க³தா உத்ஸவஸமயே யிரூஸ²லம் நக³ரே தஸ்ய ஸர்வ்வா: க்ரியா அபஸ்²யந் தே கா³லீலம் ஆக³தம்’ தம் ஆக்³ரு’ஹ்லந்|
Then assone as he was come into Galile the Galileans receaved him which had sene all the thinges yt he dyd at Ierusalem at ye feast. For they wet also vnto ye feast daye.
46 தத: பரம் யீஸு² ர்யஸ்மிந் காந்நாநக³ரே ஜலம்’ த்³ராக்ஷாரஸம் ஆகரோத் தத் ஸ்தா²நம்’ புநரகா³த்| தஸ்மிந்நேவ ஸமயே கஸ்யசித்³ ராஜஸபா⁴ஸ்தாரஸ்ய புத்ர: கப²ர்நாஹூமபுரீ ரோக³க்³ரஸ்த ஆஸீத்|
And Iesus came agayne into Cana of Galile wher he turned water into wyne. And ther was a certayne ruler whose sonne was sicke at Capernaum.
47 ஸ யேஹூதீ³யதே³ஸா²த்³ யீஸோ² ர்கா³லீலாக³மநவார்த்தாம்’ நிஸ²ம்ய தஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ க³த்வா ப்ரார்த்²ய வ்யாஹ்ரு’தவாந் மம புத்ரஸ்ய ப்ராயேண கால ஆஸந்ந: ப⁴வாந் ஆக³த்ய தம்’ ஸ்வஸ்த²ம்’ கரோது|
Assone as the same herde that Iesus was come out of Iewry into Galile he wet vnto him and besought him yt he wolde descende and heale his sonne: For he was eve readie to dye.
48 ததா³ யீஸு²ரகத²யத்³ ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ கர்ம்ம சித்ரம்’ சிஹ்நம்’ ச ந த்³ரு’ஷ்டா யூயம்’ ந ப்ரத்யேஷ்யத²|
Then sayde Iesus vnto him: excepte ye se signes and wodres ye canot beleve.
49 தத: ஸ ஸபா⁴ஸத³வத³த் ஹே மஹேச்ச² மம புத்ரே ந ம்ரு’தே ப⁴வாநாக³ச்ச²து|
The ruler sayd vnto him: Syr come awaye or ever yt my chylde dye.
50 யீஸு²ஸ்தமவத³த்³ க³ச்ச² தவ புத்ரோ(அ)ஜீவீத் ததா³ யீஸு²நோக்தவாக்யே ஸ விஸ்²வஸ்ய க³தவாந்|
Iesus sayde vnto him goo thy waye thy sonne liveth. And the ma beleved ye wordes yt Iesus had spoke vnto him and wet his waye.
51 க³மநகாலே மார்க³மத்⁴யே தா³ஸாஸ்தம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத்ப்ராப்யாவத³ந் ப⁴வத: புத்ரோ(அ)ஜீவீத்|
And anone as he went on his waye his servantes met him and tolde him sayinge: thy chylde liveth.
52 தத: கம்’ காலமாரப்⁴ய ரோக³ப்ரதீகாராரம்போ⁴ ஜாதா இதி ப்ரு’ஷ்டே தைருக்தம்’ ஹ்ய: ஸார்த்³த⁴த³ண்ட³த்³வயாதி⁴கத்³விதீயயாமே தஸ்ய ஜ்வரத்யாகோ³(அ)ப⁴வத்|
Then enquyred he of the the houre when he begane to amende. And they sayde vnto him: Yester daye the sevethe houre the fever lefte him.
53 ததா³ யீஸு²ஸ்தஸ்மிந் க்ஷணே ப்ரோக்தவாந் தவ புத்ரோ(அ)ஜீவீத் பிதா தத்³பு³த்³த்⁴வா ஸபரிவாரோ வ்யஸ்²வஸீத்|
And the father knew that it was the same houre in which Iesus sayde vnto him: Thy sonne liveth. And he beleved and all his housholde.
54 யிஹூதீ³யதே³ஸா²த்³ ஆக³த்ய கா³லீலி யீஸு²ரேதத்³ த்³விதீயம் ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யகர்ம்மாகரோத்|
Thys is agayne the seconde myracle yt Iesus dyd after he was come oute of Iewry into Galile.
