யோஹந: 10
1 அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாநதியதா²ர்த²ம்’ வதா³மி, யோ ஜநோ த்³வாரேண ந ப்ரவிஸ்²ய கேநாப்யந்யேந மேஷக்³ரு’ஹம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²தி ஸ ஏவ ஸ்தேநோ த³ஸ்யுஸ்²ச|
Verely verely I saye vnto you: he that entreth not in by ye dore into the shepefolde but clymeth vp some other waye: the same is a thefe and a robber.
2 யோ த்³வாரேண ப்ரவிஸ²தி ஸ ஏவ மேஷபாலக: |
He that goeth in by ye dore is the shepeherde of ye shepe:
3 தௌ³வாரிகஸ்தஸ்மை த்³வாரம்’ மோசயதி மேஷக³ணஸ்²ச தஸ்ய வாக்யம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ணோதி ஸ நிஜாந் மேஷாந் ஸ்வஸ்வநாம்நாஹூய ப³ஹி: க்ரு’த்வா நயதி|
to him the porter openeth and the shepe heare his voyce and he calleth his awne shepe by name and leadeth them out.
4 ததா² நிஜாந் மேஷாந் ப³ஹி: க்ரு’த்வா ஸ்வயம்’ தேஷாம் அக்³ரே க³ச்ச²தி, ததோ மேஷாஸ்தஸ்ய ஸ²ப்³த³ம்’ பு³த்⁴யந்தே, தஸ்மாத் தஸ்ய பஸ்²சாத்³ வ்ரஜந்தி|
And when he hath sent forthe his awne shepe he goeth before them and the shepe folowe him: for they knowe his voyce.
5 கிந்து பரஸ்ய ஸ²ப்³த³ம்’ ந பு³த்⁴யந்தே தஸ்மாத் தஸ்ய பஸ்²சாத்³ வ்ரஜிஷ்யந்தி வரம்’ தஸ்ய ஸமீபாத் பலாயிஷ்யந்தே|
A straunger they will not folowe but will flye from him: for they knowe not the voyce of straungers.
6 யீஸு²ஸ்தேப்⁴ய இமாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²ம் அகத²யத் கிந்து தேந கதி²தகதா²யாஸ்தாத்பர்ய்யம்’ தே நாபு³த்⁴யந்த|
This similitude spake Iesus vnto them. But they vnderstode not what thinges they were which he spake vnto them.
7 அதோ யீஸு²: புநரகத²யத், யுஷ்மாநாஹம்’ யதா²ர்த²தரம்’ வ்யாஹராமி, மேஷக்³ரு’ஹஸ்ய த்³வாரம் அஹமேவ|
Then sayde Iesus vnto them agayne. Verely verely I saye vnto you: I am the dore of the shepe.
8 மயா ந ப்ரவிஸ்²ய ய ஆக³ச்ச²ந் தே ஸ்தேநா த³ஸ்யவஸ்²ச கிந்து மேஷாஸ்தேஷாம்’ கதா² நாஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்|
All even as many as came before me are theves and robbers: but the shepe dyd not heare them.
9 அஹமேவ த்³வாரஸ்வரூப: , மயா ய: கஸ்²சித ப்ரவிஸ²தி ஸ ரக்ஷாம்’ ப்ராப்ஸ்யதி ததா² ப³ஹிரந்தஸ்²ச க³மநாக³மநே க்ரு’த்வா சரணஸ்தா²நம்’ ப்ராப்ஸ்யதி|
I am the dore: by me yf eny man enter in he shalbe safe and shall goo in and out and fynde pasture.
10 யோ ஜநஸ்தேந: ஸ கேவலம்’ ஸ்தைந்யப³த⁴விநாஸா²ந் கர்த்துமேவ ஸமாயாதி கிந்த்வஹம் ஆயு ர்தா³தும் அர்தா²த் பா³ஹூல்யேந ததே³வ தா³தும் ஆக³ச்ச²ம்|
The thefe cometh not but forto steale kyll and destroye. I am come that they myght have lyfe and have it more aboundantly.
11 அஹமேவ ஸத்யமேஷபாலகோ யஸ்து ஸத்யோ மேஷபாலக: ஸ மேஷார்த²ம்’ ப்ராணத்யாக³ம்’ கரோதி;
I am ye good shepeheerd. The good shepeheerd geveth his lyfe for ye shepe.
12 கிந்து யோ ஜநோ மேஷபாலகோ ந, அர்தா²த்³ யஸ்ய மேஷா நிஜா ந ப⁴வந்தி, ய ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸோ² வைதநிக: ஸ வ்ரு’கம் ஆக³ச்ச²ந்தம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா மேஜவ்ரஜம்’ விஹாய பலாயதே, தஸ்மாத்³ வ்ரு’கஸ்தம்’ வ்ரஜம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா விகிரதி|
An heyred servaut which is not ye shepeherd nether ye shepe are his awne seith the wolfe comynge and leveth the shepe and flyeth and the wolfe catcheth them and scattereth ye shepe.
13 வைதநிக: பலாயதே யத: ஸ வேதநார்தீ² மேஷார்த²ம்’ ந சிந்தயதி|
The heyred servaut flyeth because he is an heyred servaunt and careth not for the shepe.
14 அஹமேவ ஸத்யோ மேஷபாலக: , பிதா மாம்’ யதா² ஜாநாதி, அஹஞ்ச யதா² பிதரம்’ ஜாநாமி,
I am that good shepeheerd and knowe myne and am knowe of myne.
15 ததா² நிஜாந் மேஷாநபி ஜாநாமி, மேஷாஸ்²ச மாம்’ ஜாநாந்தி, அஹஞ்ச மேஷார்த²ம்’ ப்ராணத்யாக³ம்’ கரோமி|
As my father knoweth me: even so knowe I my father. And I geve my lyfe for the shepe:
16 அபரஞ்ச ஏதத்³ க்³ரு’ஹீய மேஷேப்⁴யோ பி⁴ந்நா அபி மேஷா மம ஸந்தி தே ஸகலா ஆநயிதவ்யா: ; தே மம ஸ²ப்³த³ம்’ ஸ்²ரோஷ்யந்தி தத ஏகோ வ்ரஜ ஏகோ ரக்ஷகோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
and other shepe I have which are not of this folde. Them also must I bringe that they maye heare my voyce and that ther maye be one flocke and one shepeherde.
17 ப்ராணாநஹம்’ த்யக்த்வா புந: ப்ராணாந் க்³ரஹீஷ்யாமி, தஸ்மாத் பிதா மயி ஸ்நேஹம்’ கரோதி|
Therfore doth my father love me because I put my lyfe from me that I myght take it agayne.
18 கஸ்²சிஜ்ஜநோ மம ப்ராணாந் ஹந்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி கிந்து ஸ்வயம்’ தாந் ஸமர்பயாமி தாந் ஸமர்பயிதும்’ புநர்க்³ரஹீதுஞ்ச மம ஸ²க்திராஸ்தே பா⁴ரமிமம்’ ஸ்வபிது: ஸகாஸா²த் ப்ராப்தோஹம்|
No man taketh it from me: but I put it awaye of my selfe. I have power to put it from me and have power to take it agayne: This comaundment have I receaved of my father.
19 அஸ்மாது³பதே³ஸா²த் புநஸ்²ச யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே பி⁴ந்நவாக்யதா ஜாதா|
And ther was a dissencion agayne amoge the Iewes for these sayinges
20 ததோ ப³ஹவோ வ்யாஹரந் ஏஷ பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்த உந்மத்தஸ்²ச, குத ஏதஸ்ய கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ணுத²?
and many of them sayd. He hath the devyll and is mad: why heare ye him?
21 கேசித்³ அவத³ந் ஏதஸ்ய கதா² பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தஸ்ய கதா²வந்ந ப⁴வந்தி, பூ⁴த: கிம் அந்தா⁴ய சக்ஷுஷீ தா³தும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி?
Other sayde these are not the wordes of him that hath the devyll. Can the devyll open the eyes of the blynde?
22 ஸீ²தகாலே யிரூஸா²லமி மந்தி³ரோத்ஸர்க³பர்வ்வண்யுபஸ்தி²தே
And it was at Ierusalem ye feaste of the dedicacion and it was wynter:
23 யீஸு²: ஸுலேமாநோ நி: ஸாரேண க³மநாக³மநே கரோதி,
and Iesus walked in Salomons porche.
24 ஏதஸ்மிந் ஸமயே யிஹூதீ³யாஸ்தம்’ வேஷ்டயித்வா வ்யாஹரந் கதி காலாந் அஸ்மாகம்’ விசிகித்ஸாம்’ ஸ்தா²பயிஷ்யாமி? யத்³யபி⁴ஷிக்தோ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி தத் ஸ்பஷ்டம்’ வத³|
Then came the Iewes rounde aboute him and sayde vnto him: How longe dost thou make vs doute? Yf thou be Christ tell vs playnly.
25 ததா³ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவத³த்³ அஹம் அசகத²ம்’ கிந்து யூயம்’ ந ப்ரதீத², நிஜபிது ர்நாம்நா யாம்’ யாம்’ க்ரியாம்’ கரோமி ஸா க்ரியைவ மம ஸாக்ஷிஸ்வரூபா|
Iesus answered them: I tolde you and ye beleve not. The workes yt I do in my fathers name they beare witnes of me.
26 கிந்த்வஹம்’ பூர்வ்வமகத²யம்’ யூயம்’ மம மேஷா ந ப⁴வத², காரணாத³ஸ்மாந் ந விஸ்²வஸித²|
But ye beleve not because ye are not of my shepe. As I sayde vnto you:
27 மம மேஷா மம ஸ²ப்³த³ம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தி தாநஹம்’ ஜாநாமி தே ச மம பஸ்²சாத்³ க³ச்ச²ந்தி|
my shepe heare my voyce and I knowe them and they folowe me
29 யோ மம பிதா தாந் மஹ்யம்’ த³த்தவாந் ஸ ஸர்வ்வஸ்மாத் மஹாந், கோபி மம பிது: கராத் தாந் ஹர்த்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யதி|
My father which gave the me is greatter then all and no man is able to take them out of my fathers honde.
30 அஹம்’ பிதா ச த்³வயோரேகத்வம்|
And I and my father are one.
31 ததோ யிஹூதீ³யா: புநரபி தம்’ ஹந்தும்’ பாஷாணாந் உத³தோலயந்|
Then the Iewes agayne toke up stones to stone him with all.
32 யீஸு²: கதி²தவாந் பிது: ஸகாஸா²த்³ ப³ஹூந்யுத்தமகர்ம்மாணி யுஷ்மாகம்’ ப்ராகாஸ²யம்’ தேஷாம்’ கஸ்ய கர்ம்மண: காரணாந் மாம்’ பாஷாணைராஹந்தும் உத்³யதா: ஸ்த²?
Iesus answered them: many good workes have I shewed you from my father: for which of them will ye stone me?
33 யிஹூதீ³யா: ப்ரத்யவத³ந் ப்ரஸ²ஸ்தகர்ம்மஹேதோ ர்ந கிந்து த்வம்’ மாநுஷ: ஸ்வமீஸ்²வரம் உக்த்வேஸ்²வரம்’ நிந்த³ஸி காரணாத³ஸ்மாத் த்வாம்’ பாஷாணைர்ஹந்ம: |
The Iewes answered him sayinge. For thy good workes sake we stone ye not: but for thy blasphemy and because that thou beinge a man makest thy selfe God.
34 ததா³ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யுக்தவாந் மயா கதி²தம்’ யூயம் ஈஸ்²வரா ஏதத்³வசநம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே லிகி²தம்’ நாஸ்தி கிம்’?
Iesus answered them: Is it not written in youre lawe: I saye ye are goddes?
35 தஸ்மாத்³ யேஷாம் உத்³தே³ஸே² ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய கதா² கதி²தா தே யதீ³ஸ்²வரக³ணா உச்யந்தே த⁴ர்ம்மக்³ரந்த²ஸ்யாப்யந்யதா² ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்யம்’,
If he called the goddes vnto whom the worde of God was spoken (and the scripture can not be broken)
36 தர்ஹ்யாஹம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ர இதி வாக்யஸ்ய கத²நாத் யூயம்’ பித்ராபி⁴ஷிக்தம்’ ஜக³தி ப்ரேரிதஞ்ச புமாம்’ஸம்’ கத²ம் ஈஸ்²வரநிந்த³கம்’ வாத³ய?
saye ye then to him whom the father hath sainctified and sent into the worlde thou blasphemest because I sayd I am the sonne of God?
37 யத்³யஹம்’ பிது: கர்ம்ம ந கரோமி தர்ஹி மாம்’ ந ப்ரதீத;
If I do not the workes of my father beleve me not.
38 கிந்து யதி³ கரோமி தர்ஹி மயி யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ப்ரத்யயே ந க்ரு’தே(அ)பி கார்ய்யே ப்ரத்யய: க்ரியதாம்’, ததோ மயி பிதாஸ்தீதி பிதர்ய்யஹம் அஸ்மீதி ச க்ஷாத்வா விஸ்²வஸிஷ்யத²|
But if I do though ye beleve not me yet beleve the workes that ye maye knowe and beleve that the father is in me and I in him.
39 ததா³ தே புநரபி தம்’ த⁴ர்த்தும் அசேஷ்டந்த கிந்து ஸ தேஷாம்’ கரேப்⁴யோ நிஸ்தீர்ய்ய
Agayne they went aboute to take him: but he escaped out of their hondes
40 புந ர்யர்த்³த³ந் அத்³யாஸ்தடே யத்ர புர்வ்வம்’ யோஹந் அமஜ்ஜயத் தத்ராக³த்ய ந்யவஸத்|
and went awaye agayne beyonde Iordan into the place where Iohn before had baptised and there aboode.
41 ததோ ப³ஹவோ லோகாஸ்தத்ஸமீபம் ஆக³த்ய வ்யாஹரந் யோஹந் கிமப்யாஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ கர்ம்ம நாகரோத் கிந்த்வஸ்மிந் மநுஷ்யே யா ய: கதா² அகத²யத் தா: ஸர்வ்வா: ஸத்யா: ;
And many resorted vnto him and sayd. Iohn dyd no miracle: but all thinges that Iohn spake of this man are true.
42 தத்ர ச ப³ஹவோ லோகாஸ்தஸ்மிந் வ்யஸ்²வஸந்|
And many beleved on him theare.
