இப்³ரிண​: 9

1 ஸ ப்ரத²மோ நியம ஆராத⁴நாயா விவித⁴ரீதிபி⁴ரைஹிகபவித்ரஸ்தா²நேந ச விஸி²ஷ்ட ஆஸீத்|

The former indeed had also justifications of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2 யதோ தூ³ஷ்யமேகம்’ நிரமீயத தஸ்ய ப்ரத²மகோஷ்ட²ஸ்ய நாம பவித்ரஸ்தா²நமித்யாஸீத் தத்ர தீ³பவ்ரு’க்ஷோ போ⁴ஜநாஸநம்’ த³ர்ஸ²நீயபூபாநாம்’ ஸ்²ரேணீ சாஸீத்|

For there was a tabernacle made the first, wherein were the candlesticks, and the table, and the setting forth of loaves, which is called the holy.

3 தத்பஸ்²சாத்³ த்³விதீயாயாஸ்திரஷ்கரிண்யா அப்⁴யந்தரே (அ)திபவித்ரஸ்தா²நமிதிநாமகம்’ கோஷ்ட²மாஸீத்,

And after the second veil, the tabernacle, which is called the holy of holies:

4 தத்ர ச ஸுவர்ணமயோ தூ⁴பாதா⁴ர​: பரித​: ஸுவர்ணமண்டி³தா நியமமஞ்ஜூஷா சாஸீத் தந்மத்⁴யே மாந்நாயா​: ஸுவர்ணக⁴டோ ஹாரோணஸ்ய மஞ்ஜரிதத³ண்ட³ஸ்தக்ஷிதௌ நியமப்ரஸ்தரௌ,

Having a golden censer, and the ark of the testament covered about on every part with gold, in which was a golden pot that had manna, and the rod of Aaron, that had blossomed, and the tables of the testament.

5 தது³பரி ச கருணாஸநே சா²யாகாரிணௌ தேஜோமயௌ கிரூபா³வாஸ்தாம், ஏதேஷாம்’ விஸே²ஷவ்ரு’த்தாந்தகத²நாய நாயம்’ ஸமய​: |

And over it were the cherubims of glory overshadowing the propitiatory: of which it is not needful to speak now particularly.

6 ஏதேஷ்வீத்³ரு’க் நிர்ம்மிதேஷு யாஜகா ஈஸ்²வரஸேவாம் அநுதிஷ்ட²நதோ தூ³ஷ்யஸ்ய ப்ரத²மகோஷ்ட²ம்’ நித்யம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²ந்தி|

Now these things being thus ordered, into the first tabernacle the priests indeed always entered, accomplishing the offices of sacrifices.

7 கிந்து த்³விதீயம்’ கோஷ்ட²ம்’ ப்ரதிவர்ஷம் ஏகக்ரு’த்வ ஏகாகிநா மஹாயாஜகேந ப்ரவிஸ்²யதே கிந்த்வாத்மநிமித்தம்’ லோகாநாம் அஜ்ஞாநக்ரு’தபாபாநாஞ்ச நிமித்தம் உத்ஸர்ஜ்ஜநீயம்’ ருதி⁴ரம் அநாதா³ய தேந ந ப்ரவிஸ்²யதே|

But into the second, the high priest alone, once a year: not without blood, which he offereth for his own, and the people’s ignorance:

8 இத்யநேந பவித்ர ஆத்மா யத் ஜ்ஞாபயதி ததி³த³ம்’ தத் ப்ரத²மம்’ தூ³ஷ்யம்’ யாவத் திஷ்ட²தி தாவத் மஹாபவித்ரஸ்தா²நகா³மீ பந்தா² அப்ரகாஸி²தஸ்திஷ்ட²தி|

The Holy Ghost signifying this, that the way into the holies was not yet made manifest, whilst the former tabernacle was yet standing.

9 தச்ச தூ³ஷ்யம்’ வர்த்தமாநஸமயஸ்ய த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்த​: , யதோ ஹேதோ​: ஸாம்ப்ரதம்’ ஸம்’ஸோ²த⁴நகாலம்’ யாவத்³ யந்நிரூபிதம்’ தத³நுஸாராத் ஸேவாகாரிணோ மாநஸிகஸித்³தி⁴கரணே(அ)ஸமர்தா²பி⁴​:

Which is a parable of the time present: according to which gifts and sacrifices are offered, which can not, as to the conscience, make him perfect that serveth, only in meats and in drinks,

10 கேவலம்’ கா²த்³யபேயேஷு விவித⁴மஜ்ஜநேஷு ச ஸா²ரீரிகரீதிபி⁴ ர்யுக்தாநி நைவேத்³யாநி ப³லிதா³நாநி ச ப⁴வந்தி|

And divers washings, and justices of the flesh laid on them until the time of correction.

11 அபரம்’ பா⁴விமங்க³லாநாம்’ மஹாயாஜக​: க்²ரீஷ்ட உபஸ்தா²யாஹஸ்தநிர்ம்மிதேநார்த²த ஏதத்ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டே ர்ப³ஹிர்பூ⁴தேந ஸ்²ரேஷ்டே²ந ஸித்³தே⁴ந ச தூ³ஷ்யேண க³த்வா

But Christ, being come an high priest of the good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hand, that is, not of this creation:

12 சா²கா³நாம்’ கோ³வத்ஸாநாம்’ வா ருதி⁴ரம் அநாதா³ய ஸ்வீயருதி⁴ரம் ஆதா³யைகக்ரு’த்வ ஏவ மஹாபவித்ரஸ்தா²நம்’ ப்ரவிஸ்²யாநந்தகாலிகாம்’ முக்திம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந்| (aiōnios g166)

Neither by the blood of goats, or of calves, but by his own blood, entered once into the holies, having obtained eternal redemption. (aiōnios g166)

13 வ்ரு’ஷசா²கா³நாம்’ ருதி⁴ரேண க³வீப⁴ஸ்மந​: ப்ரக்ஷேபேண ச யத்³யஸு²சிலோகா​: ஸா²ரீரிஸு²சித்வாய பூயந்தே,

For if the blood of goats and of oxen, and the ashes of an heifer being sprinkled, sanctify such as are defiled, to the cleansing of the flesh:

14 தர்ஹி கிம்’ மந்யத்⁴வே ய​: ஸதா³தநேநாத்மநா நிஷ்கலங்கப³லிமிவ ஸ்வமேவேஸ்²வராய த³த்தவாந், தஸ்ய க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ருதி⁴ரேண யுஷ்மாகம்’ மநாம்’ஸ்யமரேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸேவாயை கிம்’ ம்ரு’த்யுஜநகேப்⁴ய​: கர்ம்மப்⁴யோ ந பவித்ரீகாரிஷ்யந்தே? (aiōnios g166)

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God? (aiōnios g166)

15 ஸ நூதநநியமஸ்ய மத்⁴யஸ்தோ²(அ)ப⁴வத் தஸ்யாபி⁴ப்ராயோ(அ)யம்’ யத் ப்ரத²மநியமலங்க⁴நரூபபாபேப்⁴யோ ம்ரு’த்யுநா முக்தௌ ஜாதாயாம் ஆஹூதலோகா அநந்தகாலீயஸம்பத³​: ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாப²லம்’ லபே⁴ரந்| (aiōnios g166)

And therefore he is the mediator of the new testament: that by means of his death, for the redemption of those transgressions, which were under the former testament, they that are called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (aiōnios g166)

16 யத்ர நியமோ ப⁴வதி தத்ர நியமஸாத⁴கஸ்ய ப³லே ர்ம்ரு’த்யுநா ப⁴விதவ்யம்’|

For where there is a testament, the death of the testator must of necessity come in.

17 யதோ ஹதேந ப³லிநா நியம​: ஸ்தி²ரீப⁴வதி கிந்து நியமஸாத⁴கோ ப³லி ர்யாவத் ஜீவதி தாவத் நியமோ நிரர்த²கஸ்திஷ்ட²தி|

For a testament is of force, after men are dead: otherwise it is as yet of no strength, whilst the testator liveth.

18 தஸ்மாத் ஸ பூர்வ்வநியமோ(அ)பி ருதி⁴ரபாதம்’ விநா ந ஸாதி⁴த​: |

Whereupon neither was the first indeed dedicated without blood.

19 ப²லத​: ஸர்வ்வலோகாந் ப்ரதி வ்யவஸ்தா²நுஸாரேண ஸர்வ்வா ஆஜ்ஞா​: கத²யித்வா மூஸா ஜலேந ஸிந்தூ³ரவர்ணலோம்நா ஏஷோவத்ரு’ணேந ச ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ கோ³வத்ஸாநாம்’ சா²கா³நாஞ்ச ருதி⁴ரம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா க்³ரந்தே² ஸர்வ்வலோகேஷு ச ப்ரக்ஷிப்ய ப³பா⁴ஷே,

For when every commandment of the law had been read by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

20 யுஷ்மாந் அதீ⁴ஸ்²வரோ யம்’ நியமம்’ நிரூபிதவாந் தஸ்ய ருதி⁴ரமேதத்|

Saying: This is the blood of the testament, which God hath enjoined unto you.

21 தத்³வத் ஸ தூ³ஷ்யே(அ)பி ஸேவார்த²கேஷு ஸர்வ்வபாத்ரேஷு ச ருதி⁴ரம்’ ப்ரக்ஷிப்தவாந்|

The tabernacle also and all the vessels of the ministry, in like manner, he sprinkled with blood.

22 அபரம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²நுஸாரேண ப்ராயஸ²​: ஸர்வ்வாணி ருதி⁴ரேண பரிஷ்க்ரியந்தே ருதி⁴ரபாதம்’ விநா பாபமோசநம்’ ந ப⁴வதி ச|

And almost all things, according to the law, are cleansed with blood: and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

23 அபரம்’ யாநி ஸ்வர்கீ³யவஸ்தூநாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தாஸ்தேஷாம் ஏதை​: பாவநம் ஆவஸ்²யகம் ஆஸீத் கிந்து ஸாக்ஷாத் ஸ்வர்கீ³யவஸ்தூநாம் ஏதேப்⁴ய​: ஸ்²ரேஷ்டே² ர்ப³லிதா³நை​: பாவநமாவஸ்²யகம்’|

It is necessary therefore that the patterns of heavenly things should be cleansed with these: but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 யத​: க்²ரீஷ்ட​: ஸத்யபவித்ரஸ்தா²நஸ்ய த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தரூபம்’ ஹஸ்தக்ரு’தம்’ பவித்ரஸ்தா²நம்’ ந ப்ரவிஷ்டவாந் கிந்த்வஸ்மந்நிமித்தம் இதா³நீம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத்³ உபஸ்தா²தும்’ ஸ்வர்க³மேவ ப்ரவிஷ்ட​: |

For Jesus is not entered into the holies made with hands, the patterns of the true: but into heaven itself, that he may appear now in the presence of God for us.

25 யதா² ச மஹாயாஜக​: ப்ரதிவர்ஷம்’ பரஸோ²ணிதமாதா³ய மஹாபவித்ரஸ்தா²நம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²தி ததா² க்²ரீஷ்டேந புந​: புநராத்மோத்ஸர்கோ³ ந கர்த்தவ்ய​: ,

Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holies, every year with the blood of others:

26 கர்த்தவ்யே ஸதி ஜக³த​: ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டிகாலமாரப்⁴ய ப³ஹுவாரம்’ தஸ்ய ம்ரு’த்யுபோ⁴க³ ஆவஸ்²யகோ(அ)ப⁴வத்; கிந்த்விதா³நீம்’ ஸ ஆத்மோத்ஸர்கே³ண பாபநாஸா²ர்த²ம் ஏகக்ரு’த்வோ ஜக³த​: ஸே²ஷகாலே ப்ரசகாஸே²| (aiōn g165)

For then he ought to have suffered often from the beginning of the world: but now once at the end of ages, he hath appeared for the destruction of sin, by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn g165)

27 அபரம்’ யதா² மாநுஷஸ்யைகக்ரு’த்வோ மரணம்’ தத் பஸ்²சாத்³ விசாரோ நிரூபிதோ(அ)ஸ்தி,

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgment:

28 தத்³வத் க்²ரீஷ்டோ(அ)பி ப³ஹூநாம்’ பாபவஹநார்த²ம்’ ப³லிரூபேணைகக்ரு’த்வ உத்ஸஸ்ரு’ஜே, அபரம்’ த்³விதீயவாரம்’ பாபாத்³ பி⁴ந்ந​: ஸந் யே தம்’ ப்ரதீக்ஷந்தே தேஷாம்’ பரித்ராணார்த²ம்’ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ தா³ஸ்யதி|

So also Christ was offered once to exhaust the sins of many; the second time he shall appear without sin to them that expect him unto salvation.
