இப்³ரிண: 6
1 வயம்’ ம்ரு’திஜநககர்ம்மப்⁴யோ மந: பராவர்த்தநம் ஈஸ்²வரே விஸ்²வாஸோ மஜ்ஜநஸி²க்ஷணம்’ ஹஸ்தார்பணம்’ ம்ரு’தலோகாநாம் உத்தா²நம்
Therefore, let us leave behind the elementary teaching about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith in God,
2 அநந்தகாலஸ்தா²யிவிசாராஜ்ஞா சைதை: புநர்பி⁴த்திமூலம்’ ந ஸ்தா²பயந்த: க்²ரீஷ்டவிஷயகம்’ ப்ரத²மோபதே³ஸ²ம்’ பஸ்²சாத்க்ரு’த்ய ஸித்³தி⁴ம்’ யாவத்³ அக்³ரஸரா ப⁴வாம| (aiōnios g166)
and of instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. (aiōnios g166)
3 ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாநுமத்யா ச தத்³ அஸ்மாபி⁴: காரிஷ்யதே|
And this we will do, if God permits.
4 ய ஏகக்ரு’த்வோ தீ³ப்திமயா பூ⁴த்வா ஸ்வர்கீ³யவரரஸம் ஆஸ்வதி³தவந்த: பவித்ரஸ்யாத்மநோ(அ)ம்’ஸி²நோ ஜாதா
For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
who have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the coming age, (aiōn g165)
6 ஸ்வமநோபி⁴ரீஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ரம்’ புந: க்ருஸே² க்⁴நந்தி லஜ்ஜாஸ்பத³ம்’ குர்வ்வதே ச தர்ஹி மந: பராவர்த்தநாய புநஸ்தாந் நவீநீகர்த்தும்’ கோ(அ)பி ந ஸ²க்நோதி|
and yet have fallen away, since, to their own harm, they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and exposing him to public shame.
7 யதோ யா பூ⁴மி: ஸ்வோபரி பூ⁴ய: பதிதம்’ வ்ரு’ஷ்டிம்’ பிவதீ தத்ப²லாதி⁴காரிணாம்’ நிமித்தம் இஷ்டாநி ஸா²காதீ³ந்யுத்பாத³யதி ஸா ஈஸ்²வராத்³ ஆஸி²ஷம்’ ப்ராப்தா|
For land that has drunk the rain that often falls upon it, and produces a crop useful to those for whom it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.
8 கிந்து யா பூ⁴மி ர்கோ³க்ஷுரகண்டகவ்ரு’க்ஷாந் உத்பாத³யதி ஸா ந க்³ராஹ்யா ஸா²பார்ஹா ச ஸே²ஷே தஸ்யா தா³ஹோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
But land that bears thorns and thistles is worthless and on the verge of being cursed; its end is to be burned.
9 ஹே ப்ரியதமா: , யத்³யபி வயம் ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வாக்யம்’ பா⁴ஷாமஹே ததா²பி யூயம்’ தத உத்க்ரு’ஷ்டா: பரித்ராணபத²ஸ்ய பதி²காஸ்²சாத்⁴வ இதி விஸ்²வஸாம: |
Even though we speak in this way, beloved, we are confident of better things in your case, things that pertain to salvation.
10 யதோ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: பவித்ரலோகாநாம்’ ய உபகாரோ (அ)காரி க்ரியதே ச தேநேஸ்²வரஸ்ய நாம்நே ப்ரகாஸி²தம்’ ப்ரேம ஸ்²ரமஞ்ச விஸ்மர்த்தும் ஈஸ்²வரோ(அ)ந்யாயகாரீ ந ப⁴வதி|
For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the labor of love that you have shown toward his name by serving the saints, as you still do.
11 அபரம்’ யுஷ்மாகம் ஏகைகோ ஜநோ யத் ப்ரத்யாஸா²பூரணார்த²ம்’ ஸே²ஷம்’ யாவத் தமேவ யத்நம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யேதி³த்யஹம் இச்சா²மி|
We want each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope to the very end,
12 அத: ஸி²தி²லா ந ப⁴வத கிந்து யே விஸ்²வாஸேந ஸஹிஷ்ணுதயா ச ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாநாம்’ ப²லாதி⁴காரிணோ ஜாதாஸ்தேஷாம் அநுகா³மிநோ ப⁴வத|
so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who inherit the promises through faith and patience.
13 ஈஸ்²வரோ யதா³ இப்³ராஹீமே ப்ரத்யஜாநாத் ததா³ ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²ஸ்ய கஸ்யாப்யபரஸ்ய நாம்நா ஸ²பத²ம்’ கர்த்தும்’ நாஸ²க்நோத், அதோ ஹேதோ: ஸ்வநாம்நா ஸ²பத²ம்’ க்ரு’த்வா தேநோக்தம்’ யதா²,
When God made his promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater to swear by, he swore by himself,
14 "ஸத்யம் அஹம்’ த்வாம் ஆஸி²ஷம்’ க³தி³ஷ்யாமி தவாந்வயம்’ வர்த்³த⁴யிஷ்யாமி ச| "
saying, “I will surely bless yoʋ and multiply yoʋ.”
15 அநேந ப்ரகாரேண ஸ ஸஹிஷ்ணுதாம்’ விதா⁴ய தஸ்யா: ப்ரத்யாஸா²யா: ப²லம்’ லப்³த⁴வாந்|
And so Abraham, having patiently endured, obtained the promise.
16 அத² மாநவா: ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²ஸ்ய கஸ்யசித் நாம்நா ஸ²பந்தே, ஸ²பத²ஸ்²ச ப்ரமாணார்த²ம்’ தேஷாம்’ ஸர்வ்வவிவாதா³ந்தகோ ப⁴வதி|
People swear by someone greater than themselves, and in all their disputes an oath is final for confirmation.
17 இத்யஸ்மிந் ஈஸ்²வர: ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாயா: ப²லாதி⁴காரிண: ஸ்வீயமந்த்ரணாயா அமோக⁴தாம்’ பா³ஹுல்யதோ த³ர்ஸ²யிதுமிச்ச²ந் ஸ²பதே²ந ஸ்வப்ரதிஜ்ஞாம்’ ஸ்தி²ரீக்ரு’தவாந்|
So when God wanted to show the unchangeable nature of his purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, he guaranteed it with an oath,
18 அதஏவ யஸ்மிந் அந்ரு’தகத²நம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ந ஸாத்⁴யம்’ தாத்³ரு’ஸே²நாசலேந விஷயத்³வயேந ஸம்முக²ஸ்த²ரக்ஷாஸ்த²லஸ்ய ப்ராப்தயே பலாயிதாநாம் அஸ்மாகம்’ ஸுத்³ரு’டா⁴ ஸாந்த்வநா ஜாயதே|
so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.
19 ஸா ப்ரத்யாஸா²ஸ்மாகம்’ மநோநௌகாயா அசலோ லங்க³ரோ பூ⁴த்வா விச்சே²த³கவஸ்த்ரஸ்யாப்⁴யந்தரம்’ ப்ரவிஷ்டா|
We have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor for the soul. It enters into the inner sanctuary behind the veil,
