ப்ரேரிதா: 8
1 தஸ்ய ஹத்யாகரணம்’ ஸௌ²லோபி ஸமமந்யத| தஸ்மிந் ஸமயே யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரஸ்தா²ம்’ மண்ட³லீம்’ ப்ரதி மஹாதாட³நாயாம்’ ஜாதாயாம்’ ப்ரேரிதலோகாந் ஹித்வா ஸர்வ்வே(அ)பரே யிஹூதா³ஸோ²மிரோணதே³ஸ²யோ ர்நாநாஸ்தா²நே விகீர்ணா: ஸந்தோ க³தா: |
Saul had pleasure in his deeth. And at yt tyme there was a great persecucion agaynst the congregacion which was at Ierusalem and they were all scattered abroade thorowout the regions of Iury and Samaria except the Apostles
2 அந்யச்ச ப⁴க்தலோகாஸ்தம்’ ஸ்திபா²நம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நே ஸ்தா²பயித்வா ப³ஹு வ்யலபந்|
Then devout men dressed Steven aud made great lamentacion over him.
3 கிந்து ஸௌ²லோ க்³ரு’ஹே க்³ரு’ஹே ப்⁴ரமித்வா ஸ்த்ரிய: புருஷாம்’ஸ்²ச த்⁴ரு’த்வா காராயாம்’ ப³த்³த்⁴வா மண்ட³ல்யா மஹோத்பாதம்’ க்ரு’தவாந்|
But Saul made havocke of the congregacion entrynge into every housse and drewe out bothe man and woman and thrust the into preson.
4 அந்யச்ச யே விகீர்ணா அப⁴வந் தே ஸர்வ்வத்ர ப்⁴ரமித்வா ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ராசாரயந்|
They that were scattered abroade went every where preachyng the worde.
5 ததா³ பி²லிப: ஸோ²மிரோண்நக³ரம்’ க³த்வா க்²ரீஷ்டாக்²யாநம்’ ப்ராசாரயத்;
Then came Philip into a cite of Samaria and preached Christ vnto them.
6 ததோ(அ)ஸு²சி-ப்⁴ரு’தக்³ரஸ்தலோகேப்⁴யோ பூ⁴தாஸ்²சீத்க்ரு’த்யாக³ச்ச²ந் ததா² ப³ஹவ: பக்ஷாகா⁴திந: க²ஞ்ஜா லோகாஸ்²ச ஸ்வஸ்தா² அப⁴வந்|
And the people gave hede vnto those thinges which Philip spake with one acorde in that they hearde and sawe the miracles which he dyd.
7 தஸ்மாத் லாகா ஈத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ தஸ்யாஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ கர்ம்ம விலோக்ய நிஸ²ம்ய ச ஸர்வ்வ ஏகசித்தீபூ⁴ய தேநோக்தாக்²யாநே மநாம்’ஸி ந்யத³து⁴: |
For vnclene spretes cryinge with loude voyce came out of many that were possessed of them. And manye taken with palsies and many yt halted were healed
8 தஸ்மிந்நக³ரே மஹாநந்த³ஸ்²சாப⁴வத்|
And ther was great ioye in that cite.
9 தத: பூர்வ்வம்’ தஸ்மிந்நக³ரே ஸி²மோந்நாமா கஸ்²சிஜ்ஜநோ ப³ஹ்வீ ர்மாயாக்ரியா: க்ரு’த்வா ஸ்வம்’ கஞ்சந மஹாபுருஷம்’ ப்ரோச்ய ஸோ²மிரோணீயாநாம்’ மோஹம்’ ஜநயாமாஸ|
And ther was a certayne man called Simon which before tyme in the same cite vsed witche crafte and bewitched the people of Samarie sayinge that he was a man yt coulde do greate thinges
10 தஸ்மாத் ஸ மாநுஷ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய மஹாஸ²க்திஸ்வரூப இத்யுக்த்வா பா³லவ்ரு’த்³த⁴வநிதா: ஸர்வ்வே லாகாஸ்தஸ்மிந் மநாம்’ஸி ந்யத³து⁴: |
Whom they regarded from ye lest to the greatest sayinge: this felow is the great power of God.
11 ஸ ப³ஹுகாலாந் மாயாவிக்ரியயா ஸர்வ்வாந் அதீவ மோஹயாஞ்சகார, தஸ்மாத் தே தம்’ மேநிரே|
And him they set moche by because of longe tyme with sorcery he had mocked the.
12 கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யஸ்ய யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம்நஸ்²சாக்²யாநப்ரசாரிண: பி²லிபஸ்ய கதா²யாம்’ விஸ்²வஸ்ய தேஷாம்’ ஸ்த்ரீபுருஷோப⁴யலோகா மஜ்ஜிதா அப⁴வந்|
But assone as they beleved Philippes preachynge of the kyngdome of God and of the name of Iesu Christ they were baptised bothe men and wemen.
13 ஸே²ஷே ஸ ஸி²மோநபி ஸ்வயம்’ ப்ரத்யைத் ததோ மஜ்ஜித: ஸந் பி²லிபேந க்ரு’தாம் ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யக்ரியாம்’ லக்ஷணஞ்ச விலோக்யாஸம்ப⁴வம்’ மந்யமாநஸ்தேந ஸஹ ஸ்தி²தவாந்|
Then Simon him selfe beleved also and was baptised and cotinued with Phillip and wondered beholdynge the miracles and signes which were shewed.
14 இத்த²ம்’ ஸோ²மிரோண்தே³ஸீ²யலோகா ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய கதா²ம் அக்³ரு’ஹ்லந் இதி வார்த்தாம்’ யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரஸ்த²ப்ரேரிதா: ப்ராப்ய பிதரம்’ யோஹநஞ்ச தேஷாம்’ நிகடே ப்ரேஷிதவந்த: |
When ye Apostles which were at Ierusalem hearde saye that Samaria had receaved ye worde of God: they sent vnto the Peter and Iohn
15 ததஸ்தௌ தத் ஸ்தா²நம் உபஸ்தா²ய லோகா யதா² பவித்ரம் ஆத்மாநம்’ ப்ராப்நுவந்தி தத³ர்த²ம்’ ப்ரார்த²யேதாம்’|
which when they were come prayed for the that they myght receave ye holy goost
16 யதஸ்தே புரா கேவலப்ரபு⁴யீஸோ² ர்நாம்நா மஜ்ஜிதமாத்ரா அப⁴வந், ந து தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே கமபி ப்ரதி பவித்ரஸ்யாத்மந ஆவிர்பா⁴வோ ஜாத: |
For as yet he was come on none of them: But they were baptised only in the name of Christ Iesu.
17 கிந்து ப்ரேரிதாப்⁴யாம்’ தேஷாம்’ கா³த்ரேஷு கரேஷ்வர்பிதேஷு ஸத்ஸு தே பவித்ரம் ஆத்மாநம் ப்ராப்நுவந்|
Then layde they their hondes on them and they receaved the holy goost.
18 இத்த²ம்’ லோகாநாம்’ கா³த்ரேஷு ப்ரேரிதயோ: கரார்பணேந தாந் பவித்ரம் ஆத்மாநம்’ ப்ராப்தாந் த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ஸ ஸி²மோந் தயோ: ஸமீபே முத்³ரா ஆநீய கதி²தவாந்;
When Simo sawe that thorowe layinge on of the Apostles hondes on them the holy goost was geven: he offered the money
19 அஹம்’ யஸ்ய கா³த்ரே ஹஸ்தம் அர்பயிஷ்யாமி தஸ்யாபி யதே²த்த²ம்’ பவித்ராத்மப்ராப்தி ர்ப⁴வதி தாத்³ரு’ஸீ²ம்’ ஸ²க்திம்’ மஹ்யம்’ த³த்தம்’|
sayinge: Geve me also this power that on whom soever I put the hondes he maye receave the holy goost.
20 கிந்து பிதரஸ்தம்’ ப்ரத்யவத³த் தவ முத்³ராஸ்த்வயா விநஸ்²யந்து யத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய தா³நம்’ முத்³ராபி⁴: க்ரீயதே த்வமித்த²ம்’ பு³த்³த⁴வாந்;
Then sayde Peter vnto him: thy monye perysh with the because thou wenest that the gifte of God maye be obteyned wt money.
21 ஈஸ்²வராய தாவந்த: கரணம்’ ஸரலம்’ நஹி, தஸ்மாத்³ அத்ர தவாம்’ஸோ²(அ)தி⁴காரஸ்²ச கோபி நாஸ்தி|
Thou hast nether parte nor felloushippe in this busines. For thy hert is not ryght in the syght of God.
22 அத ஏதத்பாபஹேதோ: கே²தா³ந்வித: ஸந் கேநாபி ப்ரகாரேண தவ மநஸ ஏதஸ்யா: குகல்பநாயா: க்ஷமா ப⁴வதி, ஏதத³ர்த²ம் ஈஸ்²வரே ப்ரார்த²நாம்’ குரு;
Repent therfore of this thy wickednes and praye God that ye thought of thyne hert maye be forgeven the.
23 யதஸ்த்வம்’ திக்தபித்தே பாபஸ்ய ப³ந்த⁴நே ச யத³ஸி தந்மயா பு³த்³த⁴ம்|
For I perceave that thou arte full of bitter gall and wrapped in iniquite.
24 ததா³ ஸி²மோந் அகத²யத் தர்ஹி யுவாப்⁴யாமுதி³தா கதா² மயி யதா² ந ப²லதி தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுவாம்’ மந்நிமித்தம்’ ப்ரபௌ⁴ ப்ரார்த²நாம்’ குருதம்’|
Then answered Simon and sayde: Praye ye to the lorde for me yt none of these thinges whiche ye have spoken fall on me.
25 அநேந ப்ரகாரேண தௌ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ த³த்த்வா ப்ரபோ⁴: கதா²ம்’ ப்ரசாரயந்தௌ ஸோ²மிரோணீயாநாம் அநேகக்³ராமேஷு ஸுஸம்’வாத³ஞ்ச ப்ரசாரயந்தௌ யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரம்’ பராவ்ரு’த்ய க³தௌ|
And they whe they had testified and preached the worde of the lorde returned toward Ierusalem and preached the gospell in many cities of the Samaritas.
26 தத: பரம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய தூ³த: பி²லிபம் இத்யாதி³ஸ²த், த்வமுத்தா²ய த³க்ஷிணஸ்யாம்’ தி³ஸி² யோ மார்கோ³ ப்ராந்தரஸ்ய மத்⁴யேந யிரூஸா²லமோ (அ)ஸாநக³ரம்’ யாதி தம்’ மார்க³ம்’ க³ச்ச²|
Then the angell of the lorde spake vnto Phillip sayinge: aryse and goo towardes mydde daye vnto ye waye yt goeth doune fro Ierusalem vnto Gaza which is in ye desert.
27 தத: ஸ உத்தா²ய க³தவாந்; ததா³ கந்தா³கீநாம்ந: கூஸ்²லோகாநாம்’ ராஜ்ஞ்யா: ஸர்வ்வஸம்பத்தேரதீ⁴ஸ²: கூஸ²தே³ஸீ²ய ஏக: ஷண்டோ³ ப⁴ஜநார்த²ம்’ யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரம் ஆக³த்ய
And he arose and wet on. And beholde a man of Ethiopia which was a chaberlayne and of grete auctorite wt Cadace quene of ye Ethiopias and had ye rule of all her treasure came to Ierusalem for to praye.
28 புநரபி ரத²மாருஹ்ய யிஸ²யியநாம்நோ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோ க்³ரந்த²ம்’ பட²ந் ப்ரத்யாக³ச்ச²தி|
And as he returned home agayne sittynge in his charet he rede Esay ye prophet
29 ஏதஸ்மிந் ஸமயே ஆத்மா பி²லிபம் அவத³த், த்வம் ரத²ஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ க³த்வா தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ மில|
Then ye sprete sayde vnto Phillip: Goo neare and ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet.
30 தஸ்மாத் ஸ தா⁴வந் தஸ்ய ஸந்நிதா⁴வுபஸ்தா²ய தேந பட்²யமாநம்’ யிஸ²யியத²விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோ வாக்யம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந் யத் பட²ஸி தத் கிம்’ பு³த்⁴யஸே?
And Philip ranne to him and hearde him rede ye prophet Esayas and sayde: Vnderstondest thou what thou redest?
31 தத: ஸ கதி²தவாந் கேநசிந்ந போ³தி⁴தோஹம்’ கத²ம்’ பு³த்⁴யேய? தத: ஸ பி²லிபம்’ ரத²மாரோடு⁴ம்’ ஸ்வேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம் உபவேஷ்டுஞ்ச ந்யவேத³யத்|
And he sayd: how can I except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip that he wold come vp and sit wt him.
32 ஸ ஸா²ஸ்த்ரஸ்யேதத்³வாக்யம்’ படி²தவாந் யதா², ஸமாநீயத கா⁴தாய ஸ யதா² மேஷஸா²வக: | லோமச்சே²த³கஸாக்ஷாச்ச மேஷஸ்²ச நீரவோ யதா²| ஆப³த்⁴ய வத³நம்’ ஸ்வீயம்’ ததா² ஸ ஸமதிஷ்ட²த|
The tenoure of ye scripture which he redde was this. He was ledde as a shepe to be slayne: and lyke a lambe dome before his sherer so opened he not his mouth.
33 அந்யாயேந விசாரேண ஸ உச்சி²ந்நோ (அ)ப⁴வத் ததா³| தத்காலீநமநுஷ்யாந் கோ ஜநோ வர்ணயிதும்’ க்ஷம: | யதோ ஜீவந்ந்ரு’ணாம்’ தே³ஸா²த் ஸ உச்சி²ந்நோ (அ)ப⁴வத் த்⁴ருவம்’|
Because of his humblenes he was not estemed: who shall declare his generacio? for his lyfe is taken fro the erthe.
34 அநந்தரம்’ ஸ பி²லிபம் அவத³த் நிவேத³யாமி, ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ யாமிமாம்’ கதா²ம்’ கத²யாமாஸ ஸ கிம்’ ஸ்வஸ்மிந் வா கஸ்மிம்’ஸ்²சித்³ அந்யஸ்மிந்?
The chamberlayne answered Philip and sayde: I praye the of whom speaketh the Prophet this? of him selfe or of some other man?
35 தத: பி²லிபஸ்தத்ப்ரகரணம் ஆரப்⁴ய யீஸோ²ருபாக்²யாநம்’ தஸ்யாக்³ரே ப்ராஸ்தௌத்|
And Philip opened his mouth and beganne at ye same scripture and preached vnto him Iesus.
36 இத்த²ம்’ மார்கே³ண க³ச்ச²ந்தௌ ஜலாஸ²யஸ்ய ஸமீப உபஸ்தி²தௌ; ததா³ க்லீபோ³(அ)வாதீ³த் பஸ்²யாத்ர ஸ்தா²நே ஜலமாஸ்தே மம மஜ்ஜநே கா பா³தா⁴?
And as they went on their waye they came vnto a certayne water and the chamberlayne sayde: Se here is water what shall let me to be baptised?
37 தத: பி²லிப உத்தரம்’ வ்யாஹரத் ஸ்வாந்த: கரணேந ஸாகம்’ யதி³ ப்ரத்யேஷி தர்ஹி பா³தா⁴ நாஸ்தி| தத: ஸ கதி²தவாந் யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்ட ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ர இத்யஹம்’ ப்ரத்யேமி|
Philip sayde vnto him: Yf thou beleve with all thyne hert thou mayst. He answered and sayde: I beleve that Iesus Christe is the sonne of God.
38 ததா³ ரத²ம்’ ஸ்த²கி³தம்’ கர்த்தும் ஆதி³ஷ்டே பி²லிபக்லீபௌ³ த்³வௌ ஜலம் அவாருஹதாம்’; ததா³ பி²லிபஸ்தம் மஜ்ஜயாமாஸ|
And he comaunded the charet to stonde still. And they went doune bothe into the water: bothe Philip and also the chamberlayne and he baptised him.
39 தத்பஸ்²சாத் ஜலமத்⁴யாத்³ உத்தி²தயோ: ஸதோ: பரமேஸ்²வரஸ்யாத்மா பி²லிபம்’ ஹ்ரு’த்வா நீதவாந், தஸ்மாத் க்லீப³: புநஸ்தம்’ ந த்³ரு’ஷ்டவாந் ததா²பி ஹ்ரு’ஷ்டசித்த: ஸந் ஸ்வமார்கே³ண க³தவாந்|
And assone as they were come out of the water the sprete of the lorde caught awaye Philip yt the chamberlayne sawe him no moore. And he wet on his waye reioysinge:
40 பி²லிபஸ்²சாஸ்தோ³த்³நக³ரம் உபஸ்தா²ய தஸ்மாத் கைஸரியாநக³ர உபஸ்தி²திகாலபர்ய்யநதம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸ்மிந்நக³ரே ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசாரயந் க³தவாந்|
but Philip was founde at Azotus. And he walked thorow out ye countre preachynge in their cities tyll he came to Cesarea.
