ப்ரேரிதா: 2
1 அபரஞ்ச நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவாத் பரம்’ பஞ்சாஸ²த்தமே தி³நே ஸமுபஸ்தி²தே ஸதி தே ஸர்வ்வே ஏகாசித்தீபூ⁴ய ஸ்தா²ந ஏகஸ்மிந் மிலிதா ஆஸந்|
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 ஏதஸ்மிந்நேவ ஸமயே(அ)கஸ்மாத்³ ஆகாஸா²த் ப்ரசண்டா³த்யுக்³ரவாயோ: ஸ²ப்³த³வத்³ ஏக: ஸ²ப்³த³ ஆக³த்ய யஸ்மிந் க்³ரு’ஹே த உபாவிஸ²ந் தத்³ க்³ரு’ஹம்’ ஸமஸ்தம்’ வ்யாப்நோத்|
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 தத: பரம்’ வஹ்நிஸி²கா²ஸ்வரூபா ஜிஹ்வா: ப்ரத்யக்ஷீபூ⁴ய விப⁴க்தா: ஸத்ய: ப்ரதிஜநோர்த்³த்⁴வே ஸ்த²கி³தா அபூ⁴வந்|
And there appeared to them, cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 தஸ்மாத் ஸர்வ்வே பவித்ரேணாத்மநா பரிபூர்ணா: ஸந்த ஆத்மா யதா² வாசிதவாந் தத³நுஸாரேணாந்யதே³ஸீ²யாநாம்’ பா⁴ஷா உக்தவந்த: |
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 தஸ்மிந் ஸமயே ப்ரு’தி²வீஸ்த²ஸர்வ்வதே³ஸே²ப்⁴யோ யிஹூதீ³யமதாவலம்பி³நோ ப⁴க்தலோகா யிரூஸா²லமி ப்ராவஸந்;
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
6 தஸ்யா: கதா²யா: கிம்’வத³ந்த்யா ஜாதத்வாத் ஸர்வ்வே லோகா மிலித்வா நிஜநிஜபா⁴ஷயா ஸி²ஷ்யாணாம்’ கதா²கத²நம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா ஸமுத்³விக்³நா அப⁴வந்|
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 ஸர்வ்வஏவ விஸ்மயாபந்நா ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யாந்விதாஸ்²ச ஸந்த: பரஸ்பரம்’ உக்தவந்த: பஸ்²யத யே கதா²ம்’ கத²யந்தி தே ஸர்வ்வே கா³லீலீயலோகா: கிம்’ ந ப⁴வந்தி?
And they were all amazed, and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these who speak Galileans?
8 தர்ஹி வயம்’ ப்ரத்யேகஸ²: ஸ்வஸ்வஜந்மதே³ஸீ²யபா⁴ஷாபி⁴: கதா² ஏதேஷாம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ணும: கிமித³ம்’?
And how do we hear every man in our own language, wherein we were born?
9 பார்தீ²-மாதீ³-அராம்நஹரயிம்தே³ஸ²நிவாஸிமநோ யிஹூதா³-கப்பத³கியா-பந்த-ஆஸி²யா-
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 ப்²ருகி³யா-பம்பு²லியா-மிஸரநிவாஸிந: குரீணீநிகடவர்த்திலூபீ³யப்ரதே³ஸ²நிவாஸிநோ ரோமநக³ராத்³ ஆக³தா யிஹூதீ³யலோகா யிஹூதீ³யமதக்³ராஹிண: க்ரீதீயா அராபீ³யாத³யோ லோகாஸ்²ச யே வயம்
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and Proselytes,
11 அஸ்மாகம்’ நிஜநிஜபா⁴ஷாபி⁴ரேதேஷாம் ஈஸ்²வரீயமஹாகர்ம்மவ்யாக்²யாநம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ணும: |
Cretes and Arabians we hear them speak in our languages the wonderful works of God.
12 இத்த²ம்’ தே ஸர்வ்வஏவ விஸ்மயாபந்நா: ஸந்தி³க்³த⁴சித்தா: ஸந்த: பரஸ்பரமூசு: , அஸ்ய கோ பா⁴வ: ?
And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13 அபரே கேசித் பரிஹஸ்ய கதி²தவந்த ஏதே நவீநத்³ராக்ஷாரஸேந மத்தா அப⁴வந்|
Others mocking, said, These men are full of new wine.
14 ததா³ பிதர ஏகாத³ஸ²பி⁴ ர்ஜநை: ஸாகம்’ திஷ்ட²ந் தால்லோகாந் உச்சை: காரம் அவத³த், ஹே யிஹூதீ³யா ஹே யிரூஸா²லம்நிவாஸிந: ஸர்வ்வே, அவதா⁴நம்’ க்ரு’த்வா மதீ³யவாக்யம்’ பு³த்⁴யத்⁴வம்’|
But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said to them, Ye men of Judea, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you, and hearken to my words:
15 இதா³நீம் ஏகயாமாத்³ அதி⁴கா வேலா நாஸ்தி தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம்’ யத்³ அநுமாத² மாநவா இமே மத்³யபாநேந மத்தாஸ்தந்ந|
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.
16 கிந்து யோயேல்ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வக்த்ரைதத்³வாக்யமுக்தம்’ யதா²,
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel,
17 ஈஸ்²வர: கத²யாமாஸ யுகா³ந்தஸமயே த்வஹம்| வர்ஷிஷ்யாமி ஸ்வமாத்மாநம்’ ஸர்வ்வப்ராண்யுபரி த்⁴ருவம்| பா⁴விவாக்யம்’ வதி³ஷ்யந்தி கந்யா: புத்ராஸ்²ச வஸ்துத: | ப்ரத்யாதே³ஸ²ஞ்ச ப்ராப்ஸ்யந்தி யுஷ்மாகம்’ யுவமாநவா: | ததா² ப்ராசீநலோகாஸ்து ஸ்வப்நாந் த்³ரக்ஷ்யந்தி நிஸ்²சிதம்’|
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 வர்ஷிஷ்யாமி ததா³த்மாநம்’ தா³ஸதா³ஸீஜநோபிரி| தேநைவ பா⁴விவாக்யம்’ தே வதி³ஷ்யந்தி ஹி ஸர்வ்வஸ²: |
And on my servants, and on my hand-maidens I will, in those days, pour out of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 ஊர்த்³த்⁴வஸ்தே² க³க³ணே சைவ நீசஸ்தே² ப்ரு’தி²வீதலே| ஸோ²ணிதாநி ப்³ரு’ஹத்³பா⁴நூந் க⁴நதூ⁴மாதி³காநி ச| சிஹ்நாநி த³ர்ஸ²யிஷ்யாமி மஹாஸ்²சர்ய்யக்ரியாஸ்ததா²|
And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
20 மஹாப⁴யாநகஸ்யைவ தத்³தி³நஸ்ய பரேஸி²து: | புராக³மாத்³ ரவி: க்ரு’ஷ்ணோ ரக்தஸ்²சந்த்³ரோ ப⁴விஷ்யத: |
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.
21 கிந்து ய: பரமேஸ²ஸ்ய நாம்நி ஸம்ப்ரார்த²யிஷ்யதே| ஸஏவ மநுஜோ நூநம்’ பரித்ராதோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி||
And it shall come to pass, [that] whoever shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
22 அதோ ஹே இஸ்ராயேல்வம்’ஸீ²யலோகா: ஸர்வ்வே கதா²யாமேதஸ்யாம் மநோ நித⁴த்³த்⁴வம்’ நாஸரதீயோ யீஸு²ரீஸ்²வரஸ்ய மநோநீத: புமாந் ஏதத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்தத்க்ரு’தைராஸ்²சர்ய்யாத்³பு⁴தகர்ம்மபி⁴ ர்லக்ஷணைஸ்²ச யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸாக்ஷாதே³வ ப்ரதிபாதி³தவாந் இதி யூயம்’ ஜாநீத²|
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 தஸ்மிந் யீஸௌ² ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய பூர்வ்வநிஸ்²சிதமந்த்ரணாநிரூபணாநுஸாரேண ம்ரு’த்யௌ ஸமர்பிதே ஸதி யூயம்’ தம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா து³ஷ்டலோகாநாம்’ ஹஸ்தை: க்ருஸே² விதி⁴த்வாஹத|
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரஸ்தம்’ நித⁴நஸ்ய ப³ந்த⁴நாந்மோசயித்வா உத³ஸ்தா²பயத் யத: ஸ ம்ரு’த்யுநா ப³த்³த⁴ஸ்திஷ்ட²தீதி ந ஸம்ப⁴வதி|
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held by it.
25 ஏதஸ்திந் தா³யூத³பி கதி²தவாந் யதா², ஸர்வ்வதா³ மம ஸாக்ஷாத்தம்’ ஸ்தா²பய பரமேஸ்²வரம்’| ஸ்தி²தே மத்³த³க்ஷிணே தஸ்மிந் ஸ்க²லிஷ்யாமி த்வஹம்’ நஹி|
For David speaketh concerning him, I saw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 ஆநந்தி³ஷ்யதி தத்³தே⁴தோ ர்மாமகீநம்’ மநஸ்து வை| ஆஹ்லாதி³ஷ்யதி ஜிஹ்வாபி மதீ³யா து ததை²வ ச| ப்ரத்யாஸ²யா ஸ²ரீரந்து மதீ³யம்’ வைஸ²யிஷ்யதே|
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also, my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 பரலோகே யதோ ஹேதோஸ்த்வம்’ மாம்’ நைவ ஹி த்யக்ஷ்யஸி| ஸ்வகீயம்’ புண்யவந்தம்’ த்வம்’ க்ஷயிதும்’ நைவ தா³ஸ்யஸி| ஏவம்’ ஜீவநமார்க³ம்’ த்வம்’ மாமேவ த³ர்ஸ²யிஷ்யஸி| (Hadēs g86)
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption: (Hadēs g86)
28 ஸ்வஸம்முகே² ய ஆநந்தோ³ த³க்ஷிணே ஸ்வஸ்ய யத் ஸுக²ம்’| அநந்தம்’ தேந மாம்’ பூர்ணம்’ கரிஷ்யஸி ந ஸம்’ஸ²ய: ||
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou wilt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 ஹே ப்⁴ராதரோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ தஸ்ய பூர்வ்வபுருஷஸ்ய தா³யூத³: கதா²ம்’ ஸ்பஷ்டம்’ கத²யிதும்’ மாம் அநுமந்யத்⁴வம்’, ஸ ப்ராணாந் த்யக்த்வா ஸ்²மஸா²நே ஸ்தா²பிதோப⁴வத்³ அத்³யாபி தத் ஸ்²மஸா²நம் அஸ்மாகம்’ ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ வித்³யதே|
Men, brethren, let me freely speak to you concerning the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us to this day.
30 ப²லதோ லௌகிகபா⁴வேந தா³யூதோ³ வம்’ஸே² க்²ரீஷ்டம்’ ஜந்ம க்³ராஹயித்வா தஸ்யைவ ஸிம்’ஹாஸநே ஸமுவேஷ்டும்’ தமுத்தா²பயிஷ்யதி பரமேஸ்²வர: ஸ²பத²ம்’ குத்வா தா³யூத³: ஸமீப இமம் அங்கீ³காரம்’ க்ரு’தவாந்,
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, that from the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 இதி ஜ்ஞாத்வா தா³யூத்³ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ ஸந் ப⁴விஷ்யத்காலீயஜ்ஞாநேந க்²ரீஷ்டோத்தா²நே கதா²மிமாம்’ கத²யாமாஸ யதா² தஸ்யாத்மா பரலோகே ந த்யக்ஷ்யதே தஸ்ய ஸ²ரீரஞ்ச ந க்ஷேஷ்யதி; (Hadēs g86)
He seeing this before, spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
32 அத: பரமேஸ்²வர ஏநம்’ யீஸு²ம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நாத்³ உத³ஸ்தா²பயத் தத்ர வயம்’ ஸர்வ்வே ஸாக்ஷிண ஆஸ்மஹே|
This Jesus hath God raised up, of which we all are witnesses.
33 ஸ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய த³க்ஷிணகரேணோந்நதிம்’ ப்ராப்ய பவித்ர ஆத்மிந பிதா யமங்கீ³காரம்’ க்ரு’தவாந் தஸ்ய ப²லம்’ ப்ராப்ய யத் பஸ்²யத² ஸ்²ரு’ணுத² ச தத³வர்ஷத்|
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34 யதோ தா³யூத்³ ஸ்வர்க³ம்’ நாருரோஹ கிந்து ஸ்வயம் இமாம்’ கதா²ம் அகத²யத்³ யதா², மம ப்ரபு⁴மித³ம்’ வாக்யமவத³த் பரமேஸ்²வர: |
For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he saith himself, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 தவ ஸ²த்ரூநஹம்’ யாவத் பாத³பீட²ம்’ கரோமி ந| தாவத் காலம்’ மதீ³யே த்வம்’ த³க்ஷவார்ஸ்²வ உபாவிஸ²|
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 அதோ யம்’ யீஸு²ம்’ யூயம்’ க்ருஸே²(அ)ஹத பரமேஸ்²வரஸ்தம்’ ப்ரபு⁴த்வாபி⁴ஷிக்தத்வபதே³ ந்யயும்’க்தேதி இஸ்ராயேலீயா லோகா நிஸ்²சிதம்’ ஜாநந்து|
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸீ²ம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா தேஷாம்’ ஹ்ரு’த³யாநாம்’ விதீ³ர்ணத்வாத் தே பிதராய தத³ந்யப்ரேரிதேப்⁴யஸ்²ச கதி²தவந்த: , ஹே ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ண வயம்’ கிம்’ கரிஷ்யாம: ?
Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said to Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men, brethren, what shall we do?
38 தத: பிதர: ப்ரத்யவத³த்³ யூயம்’ ஸர்வ்வே ஸ்வம்’ ஸ்வம்’ மந: பரிவர்த்தயத்⁴வம்’ ததா² பாபமோசநார்த²ம்’ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம்நா மஜ்ஜிதாஸ்²ச ப⁴வத, தஸ்மாத்³ தா³நரூபம்’ பரித்ரம் ஆத்மாநம்’ லப்ஸ்யத²|
Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 யதோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ யுஷ்மத்ஸந்தாநாநாஞ்ச தூ³ரஸ்த²ஸர்வ்வலோகாநாஞ்ச நிமித்தம் அர்தா²த்³ அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴: பரமேஸ்²வரோ யாவதோ லாகாந் ஆஹ்வாஸ்யதி தேஷாம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ நிமித்தம் அயமங்கீ³கார ஆஸ்தே|
For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 ஏதத³ந்யாபி⁴ ர்ப³ஹுகதா²பி⁴: ப்ரமாணம்’ த³த்வாகத²யத் ஏதேப்⁴யோ விபத²கா³மிப்⁴யோ வர்த்தமாநலோகேப்⁴ய: ஸ்வாந் ரக்ஷத|
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
41 தத: பரம்’ யே ஸாநந்தா³ஸ்தாம்’ கதா²ம் அக்³ரு’ஹ்லந் தே மஜ்ஜிதா அப⁴வந்| தஸ்மிந் தி³வஸே ப்ராயேண த்ரீணி ஸஹஸ்ராணி லோகாஸ்தேஷாம்’ ஸபக்ஷா: ஸந்த:
Then they that gladly received his word, were baptized: and the same day there were added [to them] about three thousand souls.
42 ப்ரேரிதாநாம் உபதே³ஸே² ஸங்க³தௌ பூபப⁴ஞ்ஜநே ப்ரார்த²நாஸு ச மந: ஸம்’யோக³ம்’ க்ரு’த்வாதிஷ்ட²ந்|
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 ப்ரேரிதை ர்நாநாப்ரகாரலக்ஷணேஷு மஹாஸ்²சர்ய்யகர்மமஸு ச த³ர்ஸி²தேஷு ஸர்வ்வலோகாநாம்’ ப⁴யமுபஸ்தி²தம்’|
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 விஸ்²வாஸகாரிண: ஸர்வ்வ ச ஸஹ திஷ்ட²நத: | ஸ்வேஷாம்’ ஸர்வ்வா: ஸம்பத்தீ: ஸாதா⁴ரண்யேந ஸ்தா²பயித்வாபு⁴ஞ்ஜத|
And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 ப²லதோ க்³ரு’ஹாணி த்³ரவ்யாணி ச ஸர்வ்வாணி விக்ரீய ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ ஸ்வஸ்வப்ரயோஜநாநுஸாரேண விப⁴ஜ்ய ஸர்வ்வேப்⁴யோ(அ)த³த³ந்|
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need.
46 ஸர்வ்வ ஏகசித்தீபூ⁴ய தி³நே தி³நே மந்தி³ரே ஸந்திஷ்ட²மாநா க்³ரு’ஹே க்³ரு’ஹே ச பூபாநப⁴ஞ்ஜந்த ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய த⁴ந்யவாத³ம்’ குர்வ்வந்தோ லோகை: ஸமாத்³ரு’தா: பரமாநந்தே³ந ஸரலாந்த: கரணேந போ⁴ஜநம்’ பாநஞ்சகுர்வ்வந்|
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, ate their food with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 பரமேஸ்²வரோ தி³நே தி³நே பரித்ராணபா⁴ஜநை ர்மண்ட³லீம் அவர்த்³த⁴யத்|
Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
