ப்ரேரிதா: 11
1 இத்த²ம்’ பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யலோகா அபீஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யம் அக்³ரு’ஹ்லந் இமாம்’ வார்த்தாம்’ யிஹூதீ³யதே³ஸ²ஸ்த²ப்ரேரிதா ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ணஸ்²ச ஸ்²ருதவந்த: |
Now the apostles and the brothers that were in Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God;
2 தத: பிதரே யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரம்’ க³தவதி த்வக்சே²தி³நோ லோகாஸ்தேந ஸஹ விவத³மாநா அவத³ந்,
so, when Peter came up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party disputed with him,
3 த்வம் அத்வக்சே²தி³லோகாநாம்’ க்³ரு’ஹம்’ க³த்வா தை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ பு⁴க்தவாந்|
saying, "You went into the houses of the uncircumcised and ate with them!"
4 தத: பிதர ஆதி³த: க்ரமஸ²ஸ்தத்கார்ய்யஸ்ய ஸர்வ்வவ்ரு’த்தாந்தமாக்²யாதும் ஆரப்³த⁴வாந்|
Then Peter began and explained the whole matter to them in order, saying.
5 யாபோ²நக³ர ஏகதா³ஹம்’ ப்ரார்த²யமாநோ மூர்ச்சி²த: ஸந் த³ர்ஸ²நேந சதுர்ஷு கோணேஷு லம்ப³நமாநம்’ வ்ரு’ஹத்³வஸ்த்ரமிவ பாத்ரமேகம் ஆகாஸ²த³வருஹ்ய மந்நிகடம் ஆக³ச்ச²த்³ அபஸ்²யம்|
"I was in the city of Joppa, praying, and while in a trance I saw a vision; a certain vessel descending, what seemed to be an enormous sail let down to me,
6 பஸ்²சாத் தத்³ அநந்யத்³ரு’ஷ்ட்யா த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா விவிச்ய தஸ்ய மத்⁴யே நாநாப்ரகாராந் க்³ராம்யவந்யபஸூ²ந் உரோகா³மிகே²சராம்’ஸ்²ச த்³ரு’ஷ்டவாந்;
and while I gazed at it, I examined it carefully, and saw the quadrupeds of the earth and the wild beasts and creeping things and the wild birds.
7 ஹே பிதர த்வமுத்தா²ய க³த்வா பு⁴ம்’க்ஷ்வ மாம்’ ஸம்போ³த்⁴ய கத²யந்தம்’ ஸ²ப்³த³மேகம்’ ஸ்²ருதவாம்’ஸ்²ச|
I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter, kill and eat.’
8 ததோஹம்’ ப்ரத்யவத³ம்’, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ நேத்த²ம்’ ப⁴வது, யத: கிஞ்சந நிஷித்³த⁴ம் அஸு²சி த்³ரவ்யம்’ வா மம முக²மத்⁴யம்’ கதா³பி ந ப்ராவிஸ²த்|
"‘Not so, my Lord’ said I, ‘for nothing common or unclean has ever gone into my mouth.’
9 அபரம் ஈஸ்²வரோ யத் ஸு²சி க்ரு’தவாந் தந்நிஷித்³த⁴ம்’ ந ஜாநீஹி த்³வி ர்மாம்ப்ரதீத்³ரு’ஸீ² விஹாயஸீயா வாணீ ஜாதா|
"But for the second time a voice spoke from the sky, ‘What God has cleansed, you must not call common.’
10 த்ரிரித்த²ம்’ ஸதி தத் ஸர்வ்வம்’ புநராகாஸ²ம் ஆக்ரு’ஷ்டம்’|
"This was said three times, and then everything was drawn up again into the sky.
11 பஸ்²சாத் கைஸரியாநக³ராத் த்ரயோ ஜநா மந்நிகடம்’ ப்ரேஷிதா யத்ர நிவேஸ²நே ஸ்தி²தோஹம்’ தஸ்மிந் ஸமயே தத்ரோபாதிஷ்ட²ந்|
"And lo! at that very moment, three men who had been sent for me from Caesarea stood before the house in which I was.
12 ததா³ நி: ஸந்தே³ஹம்’ தை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யாதும் ஆத்மா மாமாதி³ஷ்டவாந்; தத: பரம்’ மயா ஸஹைதேஷு ஷட்³ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ஷு க³தேஷு வயம்’ தஸ்ய மநுஜஸ்ய க்³ரு’ஹம்’ ப்ராவிஸா²ம|
"And the Spirit bade me accompany them without misgiving. There also accompanied me these six brothers, and we went into the man’s house.
13 ஸோஸ்மாகம்’ நிகடே கதா²மேதாம் அகத²யத் ஏகதா³ தூ³த ஏக: ப்ரத்யக்ஷீபூ⁴ய மம க்³ரு’ஹமத்⁴யே திஷ்டந் மாமித்யாஜ்ஞாபிதவாந், யாபோ²நக³ரம்’ ப்ரதி லோகாந் ப்ரஹித்ய பிதரநாம்நா விக்²யாதம்’ ஸி²மோநம் ஆஹூயய;
"Then he told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying. "‘Send to Joppa and fetch Simon who is also called Peter.
14 ததஸ்தவ த்வதீ³யபரிவாராணாஞ்ச யேந பரித்ராணம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி தத் ஸ உபதே³க்ஷ்யதி|
"‘He will speak words to you by which you and all your family will be saved.’
15 அஹம்’ தாம்’ கதா²முத்தா²ப்ய கதி²தவாந் தேந ப்ரத²மம் அஸ்மாகம் உபரி யதா² பவித்ர ஆத்மாவரூட⁴வாந் ததா² தேஷாமப்யுபரி ஸமவரூட⁴வாந்|
"And," said Peter, "as soon as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as he fell upon us at the beginning.
16 தேந யோஹந் ஜலே மஜ்ஜிதவாந் இதி ஸத்யம்’ கிந்து யூயம்’ பவித்ர ஆத்மநி மஜ்ஜிதா ப⁴விஷ்யத², இதி யத்³வாக்யம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ருதி³தவாந் தத் ததா³ மயா ஸ்ம்ரு’தம்|
"Then I remembered the words of the Lord, how he used to say, "John indeed baptized in water, but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit.’
17 அத: ப்ரபா⁴ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டே ப்ரத்யயகாரிணோ யே வயம் அஸ்மப்⁴யம் ஈஸ்²வரோ யத்³ த³த்தவாந் தத் தேப்⁴யோ லோகேப்⁴யோபி த³த்தவாந் தத: கோஹம்’? கிமஹம் ஈஸ்²வரம்’ வாரயிதும்’ ஸ²க்நோமி?
"So if God gave them the same gift as he gave to us, when we first believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?"
18 கதா²மேதாம்’ ஸ்²ருவா தே க்ஷாந்தா ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய கு³ணாந் அநுகீர்த்த்ய கதி²தவந்த: , தர்ஹி பரமாயு: ப்ராப்திநிமித்தம் ஈஸ்²வரோந்யதே³ஸீ²யலோகேப்⁴யோபி மந: பரிவர்த்தநரூபம்’ தா³நம் அதா³த்|
On hearing this they held their peace and glorified God, saying, "Forsooth then, to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance unto life."
19 ஸ்திபா²நம்’ ப்ரதி உபத்³ரவே க⁴டிதே யே விகீர்ணா அப⁴வந் தை பை²நீகீகுப்ராந்தியகி²யாஸு ப்⁴ரமித்வா கேவலயிஹூதீ³யலோகாந் விநா கஸ்யாப்யந்யஸ்ய ஸமீப ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய கதா²ம்’ ந ப்ராசாரயந்|
Then those who had been scattered by the trouble that arose over Stephen, traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch; but they preached the word to none except Jews.
20 அபரம்’ தேஷாம்’ குப்ரீயா: குரீநீயாஸ்²ச கியந்தோ ஜநா ஆந்தியகி²யாநக³ரம்’ க³த்வா யூநாநீயலோகாநாம்’ ஸமீபேபி ப்ரபோ⁴ர்யீஸோ²: கதா²ம்’ ப்ராசாரயந்|
Some of them, however, were Cyprians and Cyrenaeans, who, on reaching Antioch, began to tell the Greeks also the Good News concerning the Lord Jesus.
21 ப்ரபோ⁴: கரஸ்தேஷாம்’ ஸஹாய ஆஸீத் தஸ்மாத்³ அநேகே லோகா விஸ்²வஸ்ய ப்ரபு⁴ம்’ ப்ரதி பராவர்த்தந்த|
The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord.
22 இதி வார்த்தாயாம்’ யிரூஸா²லமஸ்த²மண்ட³லீயலோகாநாம்’ கர்ணகோ³சரீபூ⁴தாயாம் ஆந்தியகி²யாநக³ரம்’ க³ந்து தே ப³ர்ணப்³பா³ம்’ ப்ரைரயந்|
When news of this reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas as far as Antioch.
23 ததோ ப³ர்ணப்³பா³ஸ்தத்ர உபஸ்தி²த: ஸந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹஸ்ய ப²லம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ஸாநந்தோ³ ஜாத: ,
When he arrived, and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he encouraged them all to remain faithful to the Lord, with full purpose of heart;
24 ஸ ஸ்வயம்’ ஸாது⁴ ர்விஸ்²வாஸேந பவித்ரேணாத்மநா ச பரிபூர்ண: ஸந் க³நோநிஷ்டயா ப்ரபா⁴வாஸ்தா²ம்’ கர்த்தும்’ ஸர்வ்வாந் உபதி³ஷ்டவாந் தேந ப்ரபோ⁴: ஸி²ஷ்யா அநேகே ப³பூ⁴வு: |
for he was a good man, and full of faith and the Holy Spirit. And a great multitude was added to the Lord.
25 ஸே²ஷே ஸௌ²லம்’ ம்ரு’க³யிதும்’ ப³ர்ணப்³பா³ஸ்தார்ஷநக³ரம்’ ப்ரஸ்தி²தவாந்| தத்ர தஸ்யோத்³தே³ஸ²ம்’ ப்ராப்ய தம் ஆந்தியகி²யாநக³ரம் ஆநயத்;
Then Barnabas visited Tarsus, to try to find Saul,
26 ததஸ்தௌ மண்ட³லீஸ்த²லோகை: ஸபா⁴ம்’ க்ரு’த்வா ஸம்’வத்ஸரமேகம்’ யாவத்³ ப³ஹுலோகாந் உபாதி³ஸ²தாம்’; தஸ்மிந் ஆந்தியகி²யாநக³ரே ஸி²ஷ்யா: ப்ரத²மம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டீயநாம்நா விக்²யாதா அப⁴வந்|
and when he had found him he brought him to Antioch, where for a whole year they were guests of the church, and taught many people. And it was in Antioch that the disciples first received the name of "Christians."
27 தத: பரம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³க³ணே யிரூஸா²லம ஆந்தியகி²யாநக³ரம் ஆக³தே ஸதி
At that time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 ஆகா³ப³நாமா தேஷாமேக உத்தா²ய ஆத்மந: ஸி²க்ஷயா ஸர்வ்வதே³ஸே² து³ர்பி⁴க்ஷம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதீதி ஜ்ஞாபிதவாந்; தத: க்லௌதி³யகைஸரஸ்யாதி⁴காரே ஸதி தத் ப்ரத்யக்ஷம் அப⁴வத்|
One of them, who was Agabus, rose up, and being instructed by the Spirit, predicted that a great famine was about to come upon the whole inhabited earth. (It came in the reign of Claudius.)
29 தஸ்மாத் ஸி²ஷ்யா ஏகைகஸ²: ஸ்வஸ்வஸ²க்த்யநுஸாரதோ யிஹூதீ³யதே³ஸ²நிவாஸிநாம்’ ப்⁴ரத்ரு’ணாம்’ தி³நயாபநார்த²ம்’ த⁴நம்’ ப்ரேஷயிதும்’ நிஸ்²சித்ய
So the disciples decided to send relief, every man according to his means, to the brothers in Judea.
30 ப³ர்ணப்³பா³ஸௌ²லயோ ர்த்³வாரா ப்ராசீநலோகாநாம்’ ஸமீபம்’ தத் ப்ரேஷிதவந்த: |
This they did, forwarding their contributions to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
