2 பிதர: 2
1 அபரம்’ பூர்வ்வகாலே யதா² லோகாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே மித்²யாப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³ந உபாதிஷ்ட²ந் ததா² யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே(அ)பி மித்²யாஸி²க்ஷகா உபஸ்தா²ஸ்யந்தி, தே ஸ்வேஷாம்’ க்ரேதாரம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ம் அநங்கீ³க்ரு’த்ய ஸத்வரம்’ விநாஸ²ம்’ ஸ்வேஷு வர்த்தயந்தி விநாஸ²கவைத⁴ர்ம்ம்யம்’ கு³ப்தம்’ யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யம் ஆநேஷ்யந்தி|
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2 ததோ (அ)நேகேஷு தேஷாம்’ விநாஸ²கமார்க³ம்’ க³தேஷு தேப்⁴ய: ஸத்யமார்க³ஸ்ய நிந்தா³ ஸம்ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
And many shall follow their riotousnesses, through whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 அபரஞ்ச தே லோபா⁴த் காபட்யவாக்யை ர்யுஷ்மத்தோ லாப⁴ம்’ கரிஷ்யந்தே கிந்து தேஷாம்’ புராதநத³ண்டா³ஜ்ஞா ந விலம்ப³தே தேஷாம்’ விநாஸ²ஸ்²ச ந நித்³ராதி|
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you. Whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their perdition slumbereth not.
4 ஈஸ்²வர: க்ரு’தபாபாந் தூ³தாந் ந க்ஷமித்வா திமிரஸ்²ரு’ங்க²லை: பாதாலே ருத்³த்⁴வா விசாரார்த²ம்’ ஸமர்பிதவாந்| (Tartaroō g5020)
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them, drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto judgment: (Tartaroō g5020)
5 புராதநம்’ ஸம்’ஸாரமபி ந க்ஷமித்வா தம்’ து³ஷ்டாநாம்’ ஸம்’ஸாரம்’ ஜலாப்லாவநேந மஜ்ஜயித்வா ஸப்தஜநை: ஸஹிதம்’ த⁴ர்ம்மப்ரசாரகம்’ நோஹம்’ ரக்ஷிதவாந்|
And spared not the original world, but preserved Noe, the eighth person, the preacher of justice, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.
6 ஸிதோ³மம் அமோரா சேதிநாமகே நக³ரே ப⁴விஷ்யதாம்’ து³ஷ்டாநாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தம்’ விதா⁴ய ப⁴ஸ்மீக்ரு’த்ய விநாஸே²ந த³ண்டி³தவாந்;
And reducing the cities of the Sodomites, and of the Gomorrhites, into ashes, condemned them to be overthrown, making them an example to those that should after act wickedly.
7 கிந்து தை: குத்ஸிதவ்யபி⁴சாரிபி⁴ ர்து³ஷ்டாத்மபி⁴: க்லிஷ்டம்’ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகம்’ லோடம்’ ரக்ஷிதவாந்|
And delivered just Lot, oppressed by the injustice and lewd conversation of the wicked.
8 ஸ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகோ ஜநஸ்தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே நிவஸந் ஸ்வீயத்³ரு’ஷ்டிஸ்²ரோத்ரகோ³சரேப்⁴யஸ்தேஷாம் அத⁴ர்ம்மாசாரேப்⁴ய: ஸ்வகீயதா⁴ர்ம்மிகமநஸி தி³நே தி³நே தப்தவாந்|
For in sight and hearing he was just: dwelling among them, who from day to day vexed the just soul with unjust works.
9 ப்ரபு⁴ ர்ப⁴க்தாந் பரீக்ஷாத்³ உத்³த⁴ர்த்தும்’ விசாரதி³நஞ்ச யாவத்³ த³ண்ட்³யாமாநாந் அதா⁴ர்ம்மிகாந் ரோத்³து⁴ம்’ பாரயதி,
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly from temptation, but to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be tormented.
10 விஸே²ஷதோ யே (அ)மேத்⁴யாபி⁴லாஷாத் ஸா²ரீரிகஸுக²ம் அநுக³ச்ச²ந்தி கர்த்ரு’த்வபதா³நி சாவஜாநந்தி தாநேவ (ரோத்³து⁴ம்’ பாரயதி| ) தே து³: ஸாஹஸிந: ப்ரக³ல்பா⁴ஸ்²ச|
And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government, audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.
11 அபரம்’ ப³லகௌ³ரவாப்⁴யாம்’ ஸ்²ரேஷ்டா² தி³வ்யதூ³தா: ப்ரபோ⁴: ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ யேஷாம்’ வைபரீத்யேந நிந்தா³ஸூசகம்’ விசாரம்’ ந குர்வ்வந்தி தேஷாம் உச்சபத³ஸ்தா²நாம்’ நிந்த³நாத்³ இமே ந பீ⁴தா: |
Whereas angels who are greater in strength and power, bring not against themselves a railing judgment.
12 கிந்து யே பு³த்³தி⁴ஹீநா: ப்ரக்ரு’தா ஜந்தவோ த⁴ர்த்தவ்யதாயை விநாஸ்²யதாயை ச ஜாயந்தே தத்ஸத்³ரு’ஸா² இமே யந்ந பு³த்⁴யந்தே தத் நிந்த³ந்த: ஸ்வகீயவிநாஸ்²யதயா விநம்’க்ஷ்யந்தி ஸ்வீயாத⁴ர்ம்மஸ்ய ப²லம்’ ப்ராப்ஸ்யந்தி ச|
But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption,
13 தே தி³வா ப்ரக்ரு’ஷ்டபோ⁴ஜநம்’ ஸுக²ம்’ மந்யந்தே நிஜச²லை: ஸுக²போ⁴கி³ந: ஸந்தோ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ போ⁴ஜநம்’ குர்வ்வந்த: கலங்கிநோ தோ³ஷிணஸ்²ச ப⁴வந்தி|
Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you:
14 தேஷாம்’ லோசநாநி பரதா³ராகாங்க்ஷீணி பாபே சாஸ்²ராந்தாநி தே சஞ்சலாநி மநாம்’ஸி மோஹயந்தி லோபே⁴ தத்பரமநஸ: ஸந்தி ச|
Having eyes full of adultery and of sin that ceaseth not: alluring unstable souls, having their heart exercised with covetousness, children of malediction:
15 தே ஸா²பக்³ரஸ்தா வம்’ஸா²: ஸரலமார்க³ம்’ விஹாய பி³யோரபுத்ரஸ்ய பி³லியமஸ்ய விபதே²ந வ்ரஜந்தோ ப்⁴ராந்தா அப⁴வந்| ஸ பி³லியமோ (அ)ப்யத⁴ர்ம்மாத் ப்ராப்யே பாரிதோஷிகே(அ)ப்ரீயத,
Leaving the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages of iniquity,
16 கிந்து நிஜாபராதா⁴த்³ ப⁴ர்த்ஸநாம் அலப⁴த யதோ வசநஸ²க்திஹீநம்’ வாஹநம்’ மாநுஷிககி³ரம் உச்சார்ய்ய ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³ந உந்மத்ததாம் அபா³த⁴த|
But had a check of his madness, the dumb beast used to the yoke, which speaking with man’s voice, forbade the folly of the prophet.
17 இமே நிர்ஜலாநி ப்ரஸ்ரவணாநி ப்ரசண்ட³வாயுநா சாலிதா மேகா⁴ஸ்²ச தேஷாம்’ க்ரு’தே நித்யஸ்தா²யீ கோ⁴ரதராந்த⁴கார: ஸஞ்சிதோ (அ)ஸ்தி| (questioned)
These are fountains without water, and clouds tossed with whirlwinds, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved.
18 யே ச ஜநா ப்⁴ராந்த்யாசாரிக³ணாத் க்ரு’ச்ச்²ரேணோத்³த்⁴ரு’தாஸ்தாந் இமே (அ)பரிமிதத³ர்பகதா² பா⁴ஷமாணா: ஸா²ரீரிகஸுகா²பி⁴லாஷை: காமக்ரீடா³பி⁴ஸ்²ச மோஹயந்தி|
For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:
19 தேப்⁴ய: ஸ்வாதீ⁴நதாம்’ ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாய ஸ்வயம்’ விநாஸ்²யதாயா தா³ஸா ப⁴வந்தி, யத: , யோ யேநைவ பராஜிக்³யே ஸ ஜாதஸ்தஸ்ய கிங்கர: |
Promising them liberty, whereas they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom a man is overcome, of the same also he is the slave.
20 த்ராது: ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநேந ஸம்’ஸாரஸ்ய மலேப்⁴ய உத்³த்⁴ரு’தா யே புநஸ்தேஷு நிமஜ்ஜ்ய பராஜீயந்தே தேஷாம்’ ப்ரத²மத³ஸா²த: ஸே²ஷத³ஸா² குத்ஸிதா ப⁴வதி|
For if, flying from the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they be again entangled in them and overcome: their latter state is become unto them worse than the former.
21 தேஷாம்’ பக்ஷே த⁴ர்ம்மபத²ஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநாப்ராப்தி ர்வரம்’ ந ச நிர்த்³தி³ஷ்டாத் பவித்ரவிதி⁴மார்கா³த் ஜ்ஞாநப்ராப்தாநாம்’ பராவர்த்தநம்’|
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of justice, than after they have known it, to turn back from that holy commandment which was delivered to them.
22 கிந்து யேயம்’ ஸத்யா த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா² ஸைவ தேஷு ப²லிதவதீ, யதா², குக்குர: ஸ்வீயவாந்தாய வ்யாவர்த்ததே புந: புந: | லுடி²தும்’ கர்த்³த³மே தத்³வத் க்ஷாலிதஸ்²சைவ ஸூ²கர: ||
For, that of the true proverb has happened to them: The dog is returned to his vomit: and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
