1 யோஹந: 1
1 ஆதி³தோ ய ஆஸீத்³ யஸ்ய வாக்³ அஸ்மாபி⁴ரஸ்²ராவி யஞ்ச வயம்’ ஸ்வநேத்ரை ர்த்³ரு’ஷ்டவந்தோ யஞ்ச வீக்ஷிதவந்த: ஸ்வகரை: ஸ்ப்ரு’ஷ்டவந்தஸ்²ச தம்’ ஜீவநவாத³ம்’ வயம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயாம: |
That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life
2 ஸ ஜீவநஸ்வரூப: ப்ரகாஸ²த வயஞ்ச தம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டவந்தஸ்தமதி⁴ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ த³த்³மஸ்²ச, யஸ்²ச பிது: ஸந்நிதா⁴வவர்த்ததாஸ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே ப்ரகாஸ²த ச தம் அநந்தஜீவநஸ்வரூபம்’ வயம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ஜ்ஞாபயாம: | (aiōnios g166)
(and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us); (aiōnios g166)
3 அஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத்³ த்³ரு’ஷ்டம்’ ஸ்²ருதஞ்ச ததே³வ யுஷ்மாந் ஜ்ஞாப்யதே தேநாஸ்மாபி⁴: ஸஹாம்’ஸி²த்வம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி| அஸ்மாகஞ்ச ஸஹாம்’ஸி²த்வம்’ பித்ரா தத்புத்ரேண யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந ச ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ப⁴வதி|
that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
4 அபரஞ்ச யுஷ்மாகம் ஆநந்தோ³ யத் ஸம்பூர்ணோ ப⁴வேத்³ தத³ர்த²ம்’ வயம் ஏதாநி லிகா²ம: |
And we write these things to you, that our joy may be fulfilled.
5 வயம்’ யாம்’ வார்த்தாம்’ தஸ்மாத் ஸ்²ருத்வா யுஷ்மாந் ஜ்ஞாபயாம: ஸேயம்| ஈஸ்²வரோ ஜ்யோதிஸ்தஸ்மிந் அந்த⁴காரஸ்ய லேஸோ²(அ)பி நாஸ்தி|
This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 வயம்’ தேந ஸஹாம்’ஸி²ந இதி க³தி³த்வா யத்³யந்தா⁴காரே சராமஸ்தர்ஹி ஸத்யாசாரிணோ ந ஸந்தோ (அ)ந்ரு’தவாதி³நோ ப⁴வாம: |
If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth.
7 கிந்து ஸ யதா² ஜ்யோதிஷி வர்த்ததே ததா² வயமபி யதி³ ஜ்யோதிஷி சராமஸ்தர்ஹி பரஸ்பரம்’ ஸஹபா⁴கி³நோ ப⁴வாமஸ்தஸ்ய புத்ரஸ்ய யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ருதி⁴ரஞ்சாஸ்மாந் ஸர்வ்வஸ்மாத் பாபாத் ஸு²த்³த⁴யதி|
But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
8 வயம்’ நிஷ்பாபா இதி யதி³ வதா³மஸ்தர்ஹி ஸ்வயமேவ ஸ்வாந் வஞ்சயாம: ஸத்யமதஞ்சாஸ்மாகம் அந்தரே ந வித்³யதே|
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 யதி³ ஸ்வபாபாநி ஸ்வீகுர்ம்மஹே தர்ஹி ஸ விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ யாதா²ர்தி²கஸ்²சாஸ்தி தஸ்மாத்³ அஸ்மாகம்’ பாபாநி க்ஷமிஷ்யதே ஸர்வ்வஸ்மாத்³ அத⁴ர்ம்மாச்சாஸ்மாந் ஸு²த்³த⁴யிஷ்யதி|
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 வயம் அக்ரு’தபாபா இதி யதி³ வதா³மஸ்தர்ஹி தம் அந்ரு’தவாதி³நம்’ குர்ம்மஸ்தஸ்ய வாக்யஞ்சாஸ்மாகம் அந்தரே ந வித்³யதே|
If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
