1 கரிந்தி²ந: 15
1 ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , ய: ஸுஸம்’வாதோ³ மயா யுஷ்மத்ஸமீபே நிவேதி³தோ யூயஞ்ச யம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீதவந்த ஆஸ்²ரிதவந்தஸ்²ச தம்’ புந ர்யுஷ்மாந் விஜ்ஞாபயாமி|
But I make known to you, brethren, the glad tidings which I announced to you, which also ye received, in which also ye stand,
2 யுஷ்மாகம்’ விஸ்²வாஸோ யதி³ விததோ² ந ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி ஸுஸம்’வாத³யுக்தாநி மம வாக்யாநி ஸ்மரதாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ தேந ஸுஸம்’வாதே³ந பரித்ராணம்’ ஜாயதே|
by which also ye are saved, (if ye hold fast the word which I announced to you as the glad tidings, ) unless indeed ye have believed in vain.
3 யதோ(அ)ஹம்’ யத்³ யத் ஜ்ஞாபிதஸ்தத³நுஸாராத் யுஷ்மாஸு முக்²யாம்’ யாம்’ ஸி²க்ஷாம்’ ஸமார்பயம்’ ஸேயம்’, ஸா²ஸ்த்ராநுஸாராத் க்²ரீஷ்டோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ பாபமோசநார்த²ம்’ ப்ராணாந் த்யக்தவாந்,
For I delivered to you, in the first place, what also I had received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures;
4 ஸ்²மஸா²நே ஸ்தா²பிதஸ்²ச த்ரு’தீயதி³நே ஸா²ஸ்த்ராநுஸாராத் புநருத்தா²பித: |
and that he was buried; and that he was raised the third day, according to the scriptures;
5 ஸ சாக்³ரே கைபை² தத: பரம்’ த்³வாத³ஸ²ஸி²ஷ்யேப்⁴யோ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்தவாந்|
and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
6 தத: பரம்’ பஞ்சஸ²தாதி⁴கஸம்’க்²யகேப்⁴யோ ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ப்⁴யோ யுக³பத்³ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்தவாந் தேஷாம்’ கேசித் மஹாநித்³ராம்’ க³தா ப³ஹுதராஸ்²சாத்³யாபி வர்த்தந்தே|
Then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the most remain until now, but some also have fallen asleep.
7 தத³நந்தரம்’ யாகூபா³ய தத்பஸ்²சாத் ஸர்வ்வேப்⁴ய: ப்ரேரிதேப்⁴யோ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்தவாந்|
Then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles;
8 ஸர்வ்வஸே²ஷே(அ)காலஜாததுல்யோ யோ(அ)ஹம்’, ஸோ(அ)ஹமபி தஸ்ய த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந்|
and last of all, as to an abortion, he appeared to me also.
9 ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸமிதிம்’ ப்ரதி தௌ³ராத்ம்யாசரணாத்³ அஹம்’ ப்ரேரிதநாம த⁴ர்த்தும் அயோக்³யஸ்தஸ்மாத் ப்ரேரிதாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே க்ஷுத்³ரதமஸ்²சாஸ்மி|
For I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called apostle, because I have persecuted the assembly of God.
10 யாத்³ரு’ஸோ²(அ)ஸ்மி தாத்³ரு’ஸ² ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹேணைவாஸ்மி; அபரம்’ மாம்’ ப்ரதி தஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹோ நிஷ்ப²லோ நாப⁴வத், அந்யேப்⁴ய: ஸர்வ்வேப்⁴யோ மயாதி⁴க: ஸ்²ரம: க்ரு’த: , கிந்து ஸ மயா க்ரு’தஸ்தந்நஹி மத்ஸஹகாரிணேஸ்²வரஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹேணைவ|
But by God's grace I am what I am; and his grace, which [was] towards me, has not been vain; but I have laboured more abundantly than they all, but not I, but the grace of God which [was] with me.
11 அதஏவ மயா ப⁴வேத் தை ர்வா ப⁴வேத் அஸ்மாபி⁴ஸ்தாத்³ரு’ஸீ² வார்த்தா கோ⁴ஷ்யதே ஸைவ ச யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்விஸ்²வாஸேந க்³ரு’ஹீதா|
Whether, therefore, I or they, thus we preach, and thus ye have believed.
12 ம்ரு’த்யுத³ஸா²த: க்²ரீஷ்ட உத்தா²பித இதி வார்த்தா யதி³ தமதி⁴ கோ⁴ஷ்யதே தர்ஹி ம்ரு’தலோகாநாம் உத்தி²தி ர்நாஸ்தீதி வாக்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே கைஸ்²சித் குத: கத்²யதே?
Now if Christ is preached that he is raised from among [the] dead, how say some among you that there is not a resurrection of [those that are] dead?
13 ம்ரு’தாநாம் உத்தி²தி ர்யதி³ ந ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி க்²ரீஷ்டோ(அ)பி நோத்தா²பித:
But if there is not a resurrection of [those that are] dead, neither is Christ raised:
14 க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்²ச யத்³யநுத்தா²பித: ஸ்யாத் தர்ஹ்யஸ்மாகம்’ கோ⁴ஷணம்’ விதத²ம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ விஸ்²வாஸோ(அ)பி விதத²: |
but if Christ is not raised, then, indeed, vain also [is] our preaching, and vain also your faith.
15 வயஞ்சேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ம்ரு’ஷாஸாக்ஷிணோ ப⁴வாம: , யத: க்²ரீஷ்ட ஸ்தேநோத்தா²பித: இதி ஸாக்ஷ்யம் அஸ்மாபி⁴ரீஸ்²வரமதி⁴ த³த்தம்’ கிந்து ம்ரு’தாநாமுத்தி²தி ர்யதி³ ந ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி ஸ தேந நோத்தா²பித: |
And we are found also false witnesses of God; for we have witnessed concerning God that he raised the Christ, whom he has not raised if indeed [those that are] dead are not raised.
16 யதோ ம்ரு’தாநாமுத்தி²தி ர்யதி ந ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி க்²ரீஷ்டோ(அ)ப்யுத்தா²பிதத்வம்’ ந க³த: |
For if [those that are] dead are not raised, neither is Christ raised;
17 க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய யத்³யநுத்தா²பித: ஸ்யாத் தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாகம்’ விஸ்²வாஸோ விதத²: , யூயம் அத்³யாபி ஸ்வபாபேஷு மக்³நாஸ்திஷ்ட²த²|
but if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 அபரம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டாஸ்²ரிதா யே மாநவா மஹாநித்³ராம்’ க³தாஸ்தே(அ)பி நாஸ²ம்’ க³தா: |
Then indeed also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19 க்²ரீஷ்டோ யதி³ கேவலமிஹலோகே (அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரத்யாஸா²பூ⁴மி: ஸ்யாத் தர்ஹி ஸர்வ்வமர்த்யேப்⁴யோ வயமேவ து³ர்பா⁴க்³யா: |
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are [the] most miserable of all men.
20 இதா³நீம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டோ ம்ரு’த்யுத³ஸா²த உத்தா²பிதோ மஹாநித்³ராக³தாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே ப்ரத²மப²லஸ்வரூபோ ஜாதஸ்²ச|
(But now Christ is raised from among [the] dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep.
21 யதோ யத்³வத் மாநுஷத்³வாரா ம்ரு’த்யு: ப்ராது³ர்பூ⁴தஸ்தத்³வத் மாநுஷத்³வாரா ம்ரு’தாநாம்’ புநருத்தி²திரபி ப்ரது³ர்பூ⁴தா|
For since by man [came] death, by man also resurrection of [those that are] dead.
22 ஆத³மா யதா² ஸர்வ்வே மரணாதீ⁴நா ஜாதாஸ்ததா² க்²ரீஷ்டேந ஸர்வ்வே ஜீவயிஷ்யந்தே|
For as in the Adam all die, thus also in the Christ all shall be made alive.
23 கிந்த்வேகைகேந ஜநேந நிஜே நிஜே பர்ய்யாய உத்தா²தவ்யம்’ ப்ரத²மத: ப்ரத²மஜாதப²லஸ்வரூபேந க்²ரீஷ்டேந, த்³விதீயதஸ்தஸ்யாக³மநஸமயே க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய லோகை: |
But each in his own rank: [the] first-fruits, Christ; then those that are the Christ's at his coming.
24 தத: பரம் அந்தோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி ததா³நீம்’ ஸ ஸர்வ்வம்’ ஸா²ஸநம் அதி⁴பதித்வம்’ பராக்ரமஞ்ச லுப்த்வா ஸ்வபிதரீஸ்²வரே ராஜத்வம்’ ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதி|
Then the end, when he gives up the kingdom to him [who is] God and Father; when he shall have annulled all rule and all authority and power.
25 யத: க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ரிபவ: ஸர்வ்வே யாவத் தேந ஸ்வபாத³யோரதோ⁴ ந நிபாதயிஷ்யந்தே தாவத் தேநைவ ராஜத்வம்’ கர்த்தவ்யம்’|
For he must reign until he put all enemies under his feet.
26 தேந விஜேதவ்யோ ய: ஸே²ஷரிபு: ஸ ம்ரு’த்யுரேவ|
[The] last enemy [that] is annulled [is] death.
27 லிகி²தமாஸ்தே ஸர்வ்வாணி தஸ்ய பாத³யோ ர்வஸீ²க்ரு’தாநி| கிந்து ஸர்வ்வாண்யேவ தஸ்ய வஸீ²க்ரு’தாநீத்யுக்தே ஸதி ஸர்வ்வாணி யேந தஸ்ய வஸீ²க்ரு’தாநி ஸ ஸ்வயம்’ தஸ்ய வஸீ²பூ⁴தோ ந ஜாத இதி வ்யக்தம்’|
For he has put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he says that all things are put in subjection, [it is] evident that [it is] except him who put all things in subjection to him.
28 ஸர்வ்வேஷு தஸ்ய வஸீ²பூ⁴தேஷு ஸர்வ்வாணி யேந புத்ரஸ்ய வஸீ²க்ரு’தாநி ஸ்வயம்’ புத்ரோ(அ)பி தஸ்ய வஸீ²பூ⁴தோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி தத ஈஸ்²வர: ஸர்வ்வேஷு ஸர்வ்வ ஏவ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
But when all things shall have been brought into subjection to him, then the Son also himself shall be placed in subjection to him who put all things in subjection to him, that God may be all in all.)
29 அபரம்’ பரேதலோகாநாம்’ விநிமயேந யே மஜ்ஜ்யந்தே தை: கிம்’ லப்ஸ்யதே? யேஷாம்’ பரேதலோகாநாம் உத்தி²தி: கேநாபி ப்ரகாரேண ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி தேஷாம்’ விநிமயேந குதோ மஜ்ஜநமபி தைரங்கீ³க்ரியதே?
Since what shall the baptised for the dead do if [those that are] dead rise not at all? why also are they baptised for them?
30 வயமபி குத: ப்ரதித³ண்ட³ம்’ ப்ராணபீ⁴திம் அங்கீ³குர்ம்மஹே?
Why do we also endanger ourselves every hour?
31 அஸ்மத்ப்ரபு⁴நா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந யுஷ்மத்தோ மம யா ஸ்²லாகா⁴ஸ்தே தஸ்யா: ஸ²பத²ம்’ க்ரு’த்வா கத²யாமி தி³நே தி³நே(அ)ஹம்’ ம்ரு’த்யும்’ க³ச்சா²மி|
Daily I die, by your boasting which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
32 இபி²ஷநக³ரே வந்யபஸு²பி⁴: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யதி³ லௌகிகபா⁴வாத் மயா யுத்³த⁴ம்’ க்ரு’தம்’ தர்ஹி தேந மம கோ லாப⁴: ? ம்ரு’தாநாம் உத்தி²தி ர்யதி³ ந ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி, குர்ம்மோ போ⁴ஜநபாநே(அ)த்³ய ஸ்²வஸ்து ம்ரு’த்யு ர்ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
If, [to speak] after the manner of man, I have fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if [those that are] dead do not rise? let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.
33 இத்யநேந த⁴ர்ம்மாத் மா ப்⁴ரம்’ஸ²த்⁴வம்’| குஸம்’ஸர்கே³ண லோகாநாம்’ ஸதா³சாரோ விநஸ்²யதி|
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 யூயம்’ யதோ²சிதம்’ ஸசைதந்யாஸ்திஷ்ட²த, பாபம்’ மா குருத்⁴வம்’, யதோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴ய ஈஸ்²வரீயஜ்ஞாநஹீநா: கே(அ)பி வித்³யந்தே யுஷ்மாகம்’ த்ரபாயை மயேத³ம்’ க³த்³யதே|
Awake up righteously, and sin not; for some are ignorant of God: I speak to you as a matter of shame.
35 அபரம்’ ம்ரு’தலோகா: கத²ம் உத்தா²ஸ்யந்தி? கீத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வா ஸ²ரீரம்’ லப்³த்⁴வா புநரேஷ்யந்தீதி வாக்யம்’ கஸ்²சித் ப்ரக்ஷ்யதி|
But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what body do they come?
36 ஹே அஜ்ஞ த்வயா யத்³ பீ³ஜம் உப்யதே தத்³ யதி³ ந ம்ரியேத தர்ஹி ந ஜீவயிஷ்யதே|
Fool; what thou sowest is not quickened unless it die.
37 யயா மூர்த்த்யா நிர்க³ந்தவ்யம்’ ஸா த்வயா நோப்யதே கிந்து ஸு²ஷ்கம்’ பீ³ஜமேவ; தச்ச கோ³தூ⁴மாதீ³நாம்’ கிமபி பீ³ஜம்’ ப⁴விதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி|
And what thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain: it may be of wheat, or some one of the rest:
38 ஈஸ்²வரேணேவ யதா²பி⁴லாஷம்’ தஸ்மை மூர்த்தி ர்தீ³யதே, ஏகைகஸ்மை பீ³ஜாய ஸ்வா ஸ்வா மூர்த்திரேவ தீ³யதே|
and God gives to it a body as he has pleased, and to each of the seeds its own body.
39 ஸர்வ்வாணி பலலாநி நைகவிதா⁴நி ஸந்தி, மநுஷ்யபஸு²பக்ஷிமத்ஸ்யாதீ³நாம்’ பி⁴ந்நரூபாணி பலலாநி ஸந்தி|
Every flesh [is] not the same flesh, but one [is] of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another [flesh] of birds, and another of fishes.
40 அபரம்’ ஸ்வர்கீ³யா மூர்த்தய: பார்தி²வா மூர்த்தயஸ்²ச வித்³யந்தே கிந்து ஸ்வர்கீ³யாநாம் ஏகரூபம்’ தேஜ: பார்தி²வாநாஞ்ச தத³ந்யரூபம்’ தேஜோ(அ)ஸ்தி|
And [there are] heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies: but different is the glory of the heavenly, different that of the earthly:
41 ஸூர்ய்யஸ்ய தேஜ ஏகவித⁴ம்’ சந்த்³ரஸ்ய தேஜஸ்தத³ந்யவித⁴ம்’ தாராணாஞ்ச தேஜோ(அ)ந்யவித⁴ம்’, தாராணாம்’ மத்⁴யே(அ)பி தேஜஸஸ்தாரதம்யம்’ வித்³யதே|
one [the] sun's glory, and another [the] moon's glory, and another [the] stars' glory; for star differs from star in glory.
42 தத்ர லிகி²தமாஸ்தே யதா², ‘ஆதி³புருஷ ஆத³ம் ஜீவத்ப்ராணீ ப³பூ⁴வ,’ கிந்த்வந்திம ஆத³ம் (க்²ரீஷ்டோ) ஜீவநதா³யக ஆத்மா ப³பூ⁴வ|
Thus also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruptibility.
43 யத்³ உப்யதே தத் துச்ச²ம்’ யச்சோத்தா²ஸ்யதி தத்³ கௌ³ரவாந்விதம்’; யத்³ உப்யதே தந்நிர்ப்³ப³லம்’ யச்சோத்தா²ஸ்யதி தத் ஸ²க்தியுக்தம்’|
It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.
44 யத் ஸ²ரீரம் உப்யதே தத் ப்ராணாநாம்’ ஸத்³ம, யச்ச ஸ²ரீரம் உத்தா²ஸ்யதி தத்³ ஆத்மந: ஸத்³ம| ப்ராணஸத்³மஸ்வரூபம்’ ஸ²ரீரம்’ வித்³யதே, ஆத்மஸத்³மஸ்வரூபமபி ஸ²ரீரம்’ வித்³யதே|
It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body: if there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual [one].
45 தத்ர லிகி²தமாஸ்தே யதா², ஆதி³புருஷ ஆத³ம் ஜீவத்ப்ராணீ ப³பூ⁴வ, கிந்த்வந்திம ஆத³ம் (க்²ரீஷ்டோ) ஜீவநதா³யக ஆத்மா ப³பூ⁴வ|
Thus also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit.
46 ஆத்மஸத்³ம ந ப்ரத²மம்’ கிந்து ப்ராணஸத்³மைவ தத்பஸ்²சாத்³ ஆத்மஸத்³ம|
But that which is spiritual [was] not first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual:
47 ஆத்³ய: புருஷே ம்ரு’த³ உத்பந்நத்வாத் ம்ரு’ண்மயோ த்³விதீயஸ்²ச புருஷ: ஸ்வர்கா³த்³ ஆக³த: ப்ரபு⁴: |
the first man out of [the] earth, made of dust; the second man, out of heaven.
48 ம்ரு’ண்மயோ யாத்³ரு’ஸ² ஆஸீத் ம்ரு’ண்மயா: ஸர்வ்வே தாத்³ரு’ஸா² ப⁴வந்தி ஸ்வர்கீ³யஸ்²ச யாத்³ரு’ஸோ²(அ)ஸ்தி ஸ்வர்கீ³யா: ஸர்வ்வே தாத்³ரு’ஸா² ப⁴வந்தி|
Such as he made of dust, such also those made of dust; and such as the heavenly [one], such also the heavenly [ones].
49 ம்ரு’ண்மயஸ்ய ரூபம்’ யத்³வத்³ அஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்தா⁴ரிதம்’ தத்³வத் ஸ்வர்கீ³யஸ்ய ரூபமபி தா⁴ரயிஷ்யதே|
And as we have borne the image of the [one] made of dust, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly [one].
50 ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி வ்யாஹராமி, ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யே ரக்தமாம்’ஸயோரதி⁴காரோ ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி, அக்ஷயத்வே ச க்ஷயஸ்யாதி⁴காரோ ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruptibility.
51 பஸ்²யதாஹம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ நிகூ³டா⁴ம்’ கதா²ம்’ நிவேத³யாமி|
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 ஸர்வ்வைரஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்மஹாநித்³ரா ந க³மிஷ்யதே கிந்த்வந்திமதி³நே தூர்ய்யாம்’ வாதி³தாயாம் ஏகஸ்மிந் விபலே நிமிஷைகமத்⁴யே ஸர்வ்வை ரூபாந்தரம்’ க³மிஷ்யதே, யதஸ்தூரீ வாதி³ஷ்யதே, ம்ரு’தலோகாஸ்²சாக்ஷயீபூ⁴தா உத்தா²ஸ்யந்தி வயஞ்ச ரூபாந்தரம்’ க³மிஷ்யாம: |
in an instant, in [the] twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 யத: க்ஷயணீயேநைதேந ஸ²ரீரேணாக்ஷயத்வம்’ பரிஹிதவ்யம்’, மரணாதீ⁴நேநைதேந தே³ஹேந சாமரத்வம்’ பரிஹிதவ்யம்’|
For this corruptible must needs put on incorruptibility, and this mortal put on immortality.
54 ஏதஸ்மிந் க்ஷயணீயே ஸ²ரீரே (அ)க்ஷயத்வம்’ க³தே, ஏதஸ்மந் மரணாதீ⁴நே தே³ஹே சாமரத்வம்’ க³தே ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே லிகி²தம்’ வசநமித³ம்’ ஸேத்ஸ்யதி, யதா², ஜயேந க்³ரஸ்யதே ம்ரு’த்யு: |
But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word written: Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Where, O death, [is] thy sting? where, O death, thy victory? (Hadēs g86)
56 ம்ரு’த்யோ: கண்டகம்’ பாபமேவ பாபஸ்ய ச ப³லம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²|
Now the sting of death [is] sin, and the power of sin the law;
57 ஈஸ்²வரஸ்²ச த⁴ந்யோ ப⁴வது யத: ஸோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴நா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேநாஸ்மாந் ஜயயுக்தாந் விதா⁴பயதி|
but thanks to God, who gives us the victory by our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 அதோ ஹே மம ப்ரியப்⁴ராதர: ; யூயம்’ ஸுஸ்தி²ரா நிஸ்²சலாஸ்²ச ப⁴வத ப்ரபோ⁴: ஸேவாயாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ பரிஸ்²ரமோ நிஷ்ப²லோ ந ப⁴விஷ்யதீதி ஜ்ஞாத்வா ப்ரபோ⁴: கார்ய்யே ஸதா³ தத்பரா ப⁴வத|
So then, my beloved brethren, be firm, immovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in [the] Lord.
