1 கரிந்தி²ந: 11
1 ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , யூயம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸ்மிந் கார்ய்யே மாம்’ ஸ்மரத² மயா ச யாத்³ரு’கு³பதி³ஷ்டாஸ்தாத்³ரு’கா³சரதை²தத்காரணாத் மயா ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸநீயா ஆத்⁴பே³|
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
2 ததா²பி மமைஷா வாஞ்சா² யத்³ யூயமித³ம் அவக³தா ப⁴வத²,
Now I praise you, brothers, because you remember me in everything and hold fast to the teachings that have been handed down, just as I delivered them to you.
3 ஏகைகஸ்ய புருஷஸ்யோத்தமாங்க³ஸ்வரூப: க்²ரீஷ்ட: , யோஷிதஸ்²சோத்தமாங்க³ஸ்வரூப: புமாந், க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய சோத்தமாங்க³ஸ்வரூப ஈஸ்²வர: |
But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
4 அபரம் ஆச்சா²தி³தோத்தமாங்கே³ந யேந பும்’ஸா ப்ரார்த²நா க்ரியத ஈஸ்²வரீயவாணீ கத்²யதே வா தேந ஸ்வீயோத்தமாங்க³ம் அவஜ்ஞாயதே|
Every man who prays or prophesies with his head veiled disgraces his head,
5 அநாச்சா²தி³தோத்தமாங்க³யா யயா யோஷிதா ச ப்ரார்த²நா க்ரியத ஈஸ்²வரீயவாணீ கத்²யதே வா தயாபி ஸ்வீயோத்தமாங்க³ம் அவஜ்ஞாயதே யத: ஸா முண்டி³தஸி²ர: ஸத்³ரு’ஸா²|
and every woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled disgraces her head, for it is one and the same as having her head shaved.
6 அநாச்சா²தி³தமஸ்தகா யா யோஷித் தஸ்யா: ஸி²ர: முண்ட³நீயமேவ கிந்து யோஷித: கேஸ²ச்சே²த³நம்’ ஸி²ரோமுண்ட³நம்’ வா யதி³ லஜ்ஜாஜநகம்’ ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி தயா ஸ்வஸி²ர ஆச்சா²த்³யதாம்’|
If a woman will not veil herself, she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to cut off her hair or shave her head, she should wear a veil.
7 புமாந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரதிமூர்த்தி: ப்ரதிதேஜ: ஸ்வரூபஸ்²ச தஸ்மாத் தேந ஸி²ரோ நாச்சா²த³நீயம்’ கிந்து ஸீமந்திநீ பும்’ஸ: ப்ரதிபி³ம்ப³ஸ்வரூபா|
For a man ought not to have his head veiled, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man.
8 யதோ யோஷாத: புமாந் நோத³பாதி³ கிந்து பும்’ஸோ யோஷித்³ உத³பாதி³|
For man did not come from woman, but woman from man.
9 அதி⁴கந்து யோஷித: க்ரு’தே பும்’ஸ: ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டி ர்ந ப³பூ⁴வ கிந்து பும்’ஸ: க்ரு’தே யோஷித: ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டி ர்ப³பூ⁴வ|
Neither was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for the sake of man.
10 இதி ஹேதோ ர்தூ³தாநாம் ஆத³ராத்³ யோஷிதா ஸி²ரஸ்யதீ⁴நதாஸூசகம் ஆவரணம்’ த⁴ர்த்தவ்யம்’|
That is why a woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.
11 ததா²பி ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்விதி⁴நா புமாம்’ஸம்’ விநா யோஷிந்ந ஜாயதே யோஷிதஞ்ச விநா புமாந் ந ஜாயதே|
Nevertheless, in the Lord neither is man independent of woman nor woman independent of man.
12 யதோ யதா² பும்’ஸோ யோஷித்³ உத³பாதி³ ததா² யோஷித: புமாந் ஜாயதே, ஸர்வ்வவஸ்தூநி சேஸ்²வராத்³ உத்பத்³யந்தே|
For just as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman, but all things come from God.
13 யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேவைதத்³ விவிச்யதாம்’, அநாவ்ரு’தயா யோஷிதா ப்ரார்த²நம்’ கிம்’ ஸுத்³ரு’ஸ்²யம்’ ப⁴வேத்?
Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head unveiled?
14 புருஷஸ்ய தீ³ர்க⁴கேஸ²த்வம்’ தஸ்ய லஜ்ஜாஜநகம்’, கிந்து யோஷிதோ தீ³ர்க⁴கேஸ²த்வம்’ தஸ்யா கௌ³ரவஜநகம்’
Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair it is a disgrace to him,
15 யத ஆச்சா²த³நாய தஸ்யை கேஸா² த³த்தா இதி கிம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸ்வபா⁴வதோ ந ஸி²க்ஷ்யதே?
but if a woman has long hair it is her glory? For her long hair is given for a covering.
16 அத்ர யதி³ கஸ்²சித்³ விவதி³தும் இச்சே²த் தர்ஹ்யஸ்மாகம் ஈஸ்²வரீயஸமிதீநாஞ்ச தாத்³ரு’ஸீ² ரீதி ர்ந வித்³யதே|
But if anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such custom, and neither do the churches of God.
17 யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்ந ப⁴த்³ராய கிந்து குத்ஸிதாய ஸமாக³ம்யதே தஸ்மாத்³ ஏதாநி பா⁴ஷமாணேந மயா யூயம்’ ந ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸநீயா: |
Now in giving the following instructions, I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18 ப்ரத²மத: ஸமிதௌ ஸமாக³தாநாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே பே⁴தா³: ஸந்தீதி வார்த்தா மயா ஸ்²ரூயதே தந்மத்⁴யே கிஞ்சித் ஸத்யம்’ மந்யதே ச|
For in the first place, I hear that there are divisions among you when you come together as a church, and in some part I believe it.
19 யதோ ஹேதோ ர்யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே யே பரீக்ஷிதாஸ்தே யத் ப்ரகாஸ்²யந்தே தத³ர்த²ம்’ பே⁴தை³ ர்ப⁴விதவ்யமேவ|
For there must be factions among you to show which of you are approved.
20 ஏகத்ர ஸமாக³தை ர்யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ப்ரபா⁴வம்’ பே⁴ஜ்யம்’ பு⁴ஜ்யத இதி நஹி;
Now when you come together, it is not to eat the Lord's supper.
21 யதோ போ⁴ஜநகாலே யுஷ்மாகமேகைகேந ஸ்வகீயம்’ ப⁴க்ஷ்யம்’ தூர்ணம்’ க்³ரஸ்யதே தஸ்மாத்³ ஏகோ ஜநோ பு³பு⁴க்ஷிதஸ்திஷ்ட²தி, அந்யஸ்²ச பரித்ரு’ப்தோ ப⁴வதி|
For when you eat, some of you eat your own supper without waiting for others. So one person is hungry while another gets drunk.
22 போ⁴ஜநபாநார்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ கிம்’ வேஸ்²மாநி ந ஸந்தி? யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்வா கிம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸமிதிம்’ துச்சீ²க்ரு’த்ய தீ³நா லோகா அவஜ்ஞாயந்தே? இத்யநேந மயா கிம்’ வக்தவ்யம்’? யூயம்’ கிம்’ மயா ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸநீயா: ? ஏதஸ்மிந் யூயம்’ ந ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸநீயா: |
What! Do you not have houses for eating and drinking? Or do you despise the church of God and put to shame those who do not have anything? What should I say to you? Should I praise you for this? I do not praise you.
23 ப்ரபு⁴தோ ய உபதே³ஸோ² மயா லப்³தோ⁴ யுஷ்மாஸு ஸமர்பிதஸ்²ச ஸ ஏஷ: |
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread,
24 பரகரஸமர்பணக்ஷபாயாம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ ர்யீஸு²: பூபமாதா³யேஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வ்யாஹ்ரு’த்ய தம்’ ப⁴ங்க்த்வா பா⁴ஷிதவாந் யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேதத்³ க்³ரு’ஹ்யதாம்’ பு⁴ஜ்யதாஞ்ச தத்³ யுஷ்மத்க்ரு’தே ப⁴க்³நம்’ மம ஸ²ரீரம்’; மம ஸ்மரணார்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேதத் க்ரியதாம்’|
and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “Take and eat this bread; this is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
25 புநஸ்²ச பே⁴ஜநாத் பரம்’ ததை²வ கம்’ஸம் ஆதா³ய தேநோக்தம்’ கம்’ஸோ(அ)யம்’ மம ஸோ²ணிதேந ஸ்தா²பிதோ நூதநநியம: ; யதிவாரம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேதத் பீயதே ததிவாரம்’ மம ஸ்மரணார்த²ம்’ பீயதாம்’|
In the same way, he also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
26 யதிவாரம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேஷ பூபோ பு⁴ஜ்யதே பா⁴ஜநேநாநேந பீயதே ச ததிவாரம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ராக³மநம்’ யாவத் தஸ்ய ம்ரு’த்யு: ப்ரகாஸ்²யதே|
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
27 அபரஞ்ச ய: கஸ்²சித்³ அயோக்³யத்வேந ப்ரபோ⁴ரிமம்’ பூபம் அஸ்²நாதி தஸ்யாநேந பா⁴ஜநேந பிவதி ச ஸ ப்ரபோ⁴: காயருதி⁴ரயோ ர்த³ண்ட³தா³யீ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
So then, whoever eats this bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a manner unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 தஸ்மாத் மாநவேநாக்³ர ஆத்மாந பரீக்ஷ்ய பஸ்²சாத்³ ஏஷ பூபோ பு⁴ஜ்யதாம்’ கம்’ஸேநாநேந ச பீயதாம்’|
So a person should examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
29 யேந சாநர்ஹத்வேந பு⁴ஜ்யதே பீயதே ச ப்ரபோ⁴: காயம் அவிம்ரு’ஸ²தா தேந த³ண்ட³ப்ராப்தயே பு⁴ஜ்யதே பீயதே ச|
For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment on himself, since he shows no regard for the body of the Lord.
30 ஏதத்காரணாத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ பூ⁴ரிஸோ² லோகா து³ர்ப்³ப³லா ரோகி³ணஸ்²ச ஸந்தி ப³ஹவஸ்²ச மஹாநித்³ராம்’ க³தா: |
That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a considerable number have fallen asleep.
31 அஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத்³யாத்மவிசாரோ(அ)காரிஷ்யத தர்ஹி த³ண்டோ³ நாலப்ஸ்யத;
If we would evaluate ourselves, we would not be judged.
32 கிந்து யதா³ஸ்மாகம்’ விசாரோ ப⁴வதி ததா³ வயம்’ ஜக³தோ ஜநை: ஸமம்’ யத்³ த³ண்ட³ம்’ ந லபா⁴மஹே தத³ர்த²ம்’ ப்ரபு⁴நா ஸா²ஸ்திம்’ பு⁴ம்’ஜ்மஹே|
But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
33 ஹே மம ப்⁴ராதர: , போ⁴ஜநார்த²ம்’ மிலிதாநாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம் ஏகேநேதரோ(அ)நுக்³ரு’ஹ்யதாம்’|
So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 யஸ்²ச பு³பு⁴க்ஷித: ஸ ஸ்வக்³ரு’ஹே பு⁴ங்க்தாம்’| த³ண்ட³ப்ராப்தயே யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்ந ஸமாக³ம்யதாம்’| ஏதத்³பி⁴ந்நம்’ யத்³ ஆதே³ஷ்டவ்யம்’ தத்³ யுஷ்மத்ஸமீபாக³மநகாலே மயாதே³க்ஷ்யதே|
If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you come together it will not result in condemnation. I will set the remaining matters in order when I come.
