මාර්කඃ 1
1 ඊශ්වරපුත්‍රස්‍ය යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය සුසංවාදාරම්භඃ|
A beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, Son of God.
2 භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනාං ග්‍රන්ථේෂු ලිපිරිත්ථමාස්තේ, පශ්‍ය ස්වකීයදූතන්තු තවාග්‍රේ ප්‍රේෂයාම්‍යහම්| ගත්වා ත්වදීයපන්ථානං ස හි පරිෂ්කරිෂ්‍යති|
As it has been written in the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.
3 "පරමේශස්‍ය පන්ථානං පරිෂ්කුරුත සර්ව්වතඃ| තස්‍ය රාජපථඤ්චෛව සමානං කුරුතාධුනා| " ඉත්‍යේතත් ප්‍රාන්තරේ වාක්‍යං වදතඃ කස්‍යචිද්‍රවඃ||
A voice of one calling in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the LORD, Make His paths straight.”
4 සඒව යෝහන් ප්‍රාන්තරේ මජ්ජිතවාන් තථා පාපමාර්ජනනිමිත්තං මනෝව්‍යාවර්ත්තකමජ්ජනස්‍ය කථාඤ්ච ප්‍රචාරිතවාන්|
John came immersing in the wilderness, and proclaiming an immersion of conversion for forgiveness of sins,
5 තතෝ යිහූදාදේශයිරූශාලම්නගරනිවාසිනඃ සර්ව්වේ ලෝකා බහි ර්භූත්වා තස්‍ය සමීපමාගත්‍ය ස්වානි ස්වානි පාපාන්‍යඞ්ගීකෘත්‍ය යර්ද්දනනද්‍යාං තේන මජ්ජිතා බභූවුඃ|
and there were going forth to him all the region of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and they were all immersed by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 අස්‍ය යෝහනඃ පරිධේයානි ක්‍රමේලකලෝමජානි, තස්‍ය කටිබන්ධනං චර්ම්මජාතම්, තස්‍ය භක්‍ෂ්‍යාණි ච ශූකකීටා වන්‍යමධූනි චාසන්|
And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and a girdle of skin around his loins, and eating locusts and honey of the field,
7 ස ප්‍රචාරයන් කථයාඤ්චක්‍රේ, අහං නම්‍රීභූය යස්‍ය පාදුකාබන්ධනං මෝචයිතුමපි න යෝග්‍යෝස්මි, තාදෘශෝ මත්තෝ ගුරුතර ඒකඃ පුරුෂෝ මත්පශ්චාදාගච්ඡති|
and he proclaimed, saying, “He comes—who is mightier than I—after me, of whom I am not worthy—having stooped down—to loose the strap of His sandals;
8 අහං යුෂ්මාන් ජලේ මජ්ජිතවාන් කින්තු ස පවිත්‍ර ආත්මානි සංමජ්ජයිෂ්‍යති|
I indeed immersed you in water, but He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit.”
9 අපරඤ්ච තස්මින්නේව කාලේ ගාලීල්ප්‍රදේශස්‍ය නාසරද්ග්‍රාමාද් යීශුරාගත්‍ය යෝහනා යර්ද්දනනද්‍යාං මජ්ජිතෝ(අ)භූත්|
And it came to pass in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan;
10 ස ජලාදුත්ථිතමාත්‍රෝ මේඝද්වාරං මුක්තං කපෝතවත් ස්වස්‍යෝපරි අවරෝහන්තමාත්මානඤ්ච දෘෂ්ටවාන්|
and immediately coming up from the water, He saw the heavens dividing, and the Spirit coming down on Him as a dove;
11 ත්වං මම ප්‍රියඃ පුත්‍රස්ත්වය්‍යේව මමමහාසන්තෝෂ ඉයමාකාශීයා වාණී බභූව|
and a voice came out of the heavens, “You are My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delighted.”
12 තස්මින් කාලේ ආත්මා තං ප්‍රාන්තරමධ්‍යං නිනාය|
And immediately the Spirit puts Him forth into the wilderness,
13 අථ ස චත්වාරිංශද්දිනානි තස්මින් ස්ථානේ වන්‍යපශුභිඃ සහ තිෂ්ඨන් ශෛතානා පරීක්‍ෂිතඃ; පශ්චාත් ස්වර්ගීයදූතාස්තං සිෂේවිරේ|
and He was there in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan, and He was with the beasts, and the messengers were ministering to Him.
14 අනන්තරං යෝහනි බන්ධනාලයේ බද්ධේ සති යීශු ර්ගාලීල්ප්‍රදේශමාගත්‍ය ඊශ්වරරාජ්‍යස්‍ය සුසංවාදං ප්‍රචාරයන් කථයාමාස,
And after the delivering up of John, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God,
15 කාලඃ සම්පූර්ණ ඊශ්වරරාජ්‍යඤ්ච සමීපමාගතං; අතෝහේතෝ ර‍්‍යූයං මනාංසි ව්‍යාවර්ත්තයධ්වං සුසංවාදේ ච විශ්වාසිත|
and saying, “The time has been fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God has come near, convert and believe in the good news.”
16 තදනන්තරං ස ගාලීලීයසමුද්‍රස්‍ය තීරේ ගච්ඡන් ශිමෝන් තස්‍ය භ්‍රාතා අන්ද්‍රියනාමා ච ඉමෞ ද්වෞ ජනෞ මත්ස්‍යධාරිණෞ සාගරමධ්‍යේ ජාලං ප්‍රක්‍ෂිපන්තෞ දෘෂ්ට්වා තාවවදත්,
And walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon, and his brother Andrew, casting a drag into the sea, for they were fishers,
17 යුවාං මම පශ්චාදාගච්ඡතං, යුවාමහං මනුෂ්‍යධාරිණෞ කරිෂ්‍යාමි|
and Jesus said to them, “Come after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men”;
18 තතස්තෞ තත්ක්‍ෂණමේව ජාලානි පරිත්‍යජ්‍ය තස්‍ය පශ්චාත් ජග්මතුඃ|
and immediately, having left their nets, they followed Him.
19 තතඃ පරං තත්ස්ථානාත් කිඤ්චිද් දූරං ගත්වා ස සිවදීපුත්‍රයාකූබ් තද්භ්‍රාතෘයෝහන් ච ඉමෞ නෞකායාං ජාලානාං ජීර්ණමුද්ධාරයන්තෞ දෘෂ්ට්වා තාවාහූයත්|
And having gone on there a little, He saw James of Zebedee, and his brother John, and they were in the boat refitting the nets,
20 තතස්තෞ නෞකායාං වේතනභුග්භිඃ සහිතං ස්වපිතරං විහාය තත්පශ්චාදීයතුඃ|
and immediately He called them, and having left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, they went away after Him.
21 තතඃ පරං කඵර්නාහූම්නාමකං නගරමුපස්ථාය ස විශ්‍රාමදිවසේ භජනග්‍රහං ප්‍රවිශ්‍ය සමුපදිදේශ|
And they go on to Capernaum, and immediately, on the Sabbaths, having gone into the synagogue, He was teaching,
22 තස්‍යෝපදේශාල්ලෝකා ආශ්චර‍්‍ය්‍යං මේනිරේ යතඃ සෝධ්‍යාපකාඉව නෝපදිශන් ප්‍රභාවවානිව ප්‍රෝපදිදේශ|
and they were astonished at His teaching, for He was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
23 අපරඤ්ච තස්මින් භජනගෘහේ අපවිත්‍රභූතේන ග්‍රස්ත ඒකෝ මානුෂ ආසීත්| ස චීත්ශබ්දං කෘත්වා කථයාඤ්චකේ
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
24 භෝ නාසරතීය යීශෝ ත්වමස්මාන් ත්‍යජ, ත්වයා සහාස්මාකං කඃ සම්බන්ධඃ? ත්වං කිමස්මාන් නාශයිතුං සමාගතඃ? ත්වමීශ්වරස්‍ය පවිත්‍රලෝක ඉත්‍යහං ජානාමි|
saying, “What [regards] us and You, Jesus the Nazarene? You came to destroy us; I have known You, who You are—the Holy One of God.”
25 තදා යීශුස්තං තර්ජයිත්වා ජගාද තූෂ්ණීං භව ඉතෝ බහිර්භව ච|
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silenced, and come forth out of him,”
26 තතඃ සෝ(අ)පවිත්‍රභූතස්තං සම්පීඩ්‍ය අත්‍යුචෛශ්චීත්කෘත්‍ය නිර්ජගාම|
and the unclean spirit having convulsed him, and having cried with a great voice, came forth out of him,
27 තේනෛව සර්ව්වේ චමත්කෘත්‍ය පරස්පරං කථයාඤ්චක්‍රිරේ, අහෝ කිමිදං? කීදෘශෝ(අ)යං නව්‍ය උපදේශඃ? අනේන ප්‍රභාවේනාපවිත්‍රභූතේෂ්වාඥාපිතේෂු තේ තදාඥානුවර්ත්තිනෝ භවන්ති|
and they were all amazed, so as to reason among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new teaching [is] this? That with authority He also commands the unclean spirits, and they obey Him!”
28 තදා තස්‍ය යශෝ ගාලීලශ්චතුර්දික්ස්ථසර්ව්වදේශාන් ව්‍යාප්නෝත්|
And the fame of Him went forth immediately to all the region of Galilee.
29 අපරඤ්ච තේ භජනගෘහාද් බහි ර්භූත්වා යාකූබ්‍යෝහන්භ්‍යාං සහ ශිමෝන ආන්ද්‍රියස්‍ය ච නිවේශනං ප්‍රවිවිශුඃ|
And immediately, having come forth out of the synagogue, they went into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John,
30 තදා පිතරස්‍ය ශ්වශ්‍රූර්ජ්වරපීඩිතා ශය්‍යායාමාස්ත ඉති තේ තං ඣටිති විඥාපයාඤ්චක්‍රුඃ|
and the mother-in-law of Simon was lying fevered, and immediately they tell Him about her,
31 තතඃ ස ආගත්‍ය තස්‍යා හස්තං ධෘත්වා තාමුදස්ථාපයත්; තදෛව තාං ජ්වරෝ(අ)ත්‍යාක්‍ෂීත් තතඃ පරං සා තාන් සිෂේවේ|
and having come near, He raised her up, having laid hold of her hand, and the fever left her immediately, and she was ministering to them.
32 අථාස්තං ගතේ රවෞ සන්ධ්‍යාකාලේ සති ලෝකාස්තත්සමීපං සර්ව්වාන් රෝගිණෝ භූතධෘතාංශ්ච සමානින්‍යුඃ|
And evening having come, when the sun set, they brought to Him all who were ill and who were demoniacs,
33 සර්ව්වේ නාගරිකා ලෝකා ද්වාරි සංමිලිතාශ්ච|
and the whole city was gathered together near the door,
34 තතඃ ස නානාවිධරෝගිණෝ බහූන් මනුජානරෝගිණශ්චකාර තථා බහූන් භූතාන් ත්‍යාජයාඤ්චකාර තාන් භූතාන් කිමපි වාක්‍යං වක්තුං නිෂිෂේධ ච යතෝහේතෝස්තේ තමජානන්|
and He healed many who were ill of manifold diseases, and He cast forth many demons, and was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
35 අපරඤ්ච සෝ(අ)තිප්‍රත්‍යූෂේ වස්තුතස්තු රාත්‍රිශේෂේ සමුත්ථාය බහිර්භූය නිර්ජනං ස්ථානං ගත්වා තත්‍ර ප්‍රාර්ථයාඤ්චක්‍රේ|
And very early, it being yet night, having risen, He went forth, and went away to a desolate place, and was praying there;
36 අනන්තරං ශිමෝන් තත්සඞ්ගිනශ්ච තස්‍ය පශ්චාද් ගතවන්තඃ|
and Simon and those with him went in quest of Him,
37 තදුද්දේශං ප්‍රාප්‍ය තමවදන් සර්ව්වේ ලෝකාස්ත්වාං මෘගයන්තේ|
and having found Him, they say to Him, “All seek You”;
38 තදා සෝ(අ)කථයත් ආගච්ඡත වයං සමීපස්ථානි නගරාණි යාමඃ, යතෝ(අ)හං තත්‍ර කථාං ප්‍රචාරයිතුං බහිරාගමම්|
and He says to them, “We may go into the next towns, that there also I may preach, for—for this I came forth.”
39 අථ ස තේෂාං ගාලීල්ප්‍රදේශස්‍ය සර්ව්වේෂු භජනගෘහේෂු කථාඃ ප්‍රචාරයාඤ්චක්‍රේ භූතානත්‍යාජයඤ්ච|
And He was preaching in their synagogues, in all Galilee, and is casting out the demons,
40 අනන්තරමේකඃ කුෂ්ඨී සමාගත්‍ය තත්සම්මුඛේ ජානුපාතං විනයඤ්ච කෘත්වා කථිතවාන් යදි භවාන් ඉච්ඡති තර්හි මාං පරිෂ්කර්ත්තුං ශක්නෝති|
and there comes to Him a leper, calling on Him, and kneeling to Him, and saying to Him, “If You may will, You are able to cleanse me.”
41 තතඃ කෘපාලු ර‍්‍යීශුඃ කරෞ ප්‍රසාර‍්‍ය්‍ය තං ස්පෂ්ට්වා කථයාමාස
And Jesus having been moved with compassion, having stretched forth the hand, touched him and says to him, “I will, be cleansed”;
42 මමේච්ඡා විද්‍යතේ ත්වං පරිෂ්කෘතෝ භව| ඒතත්කථායාඃ කථනමාත්‍රාත් ස කුෂ්ඨී රෝගාන්මුක්තඃ පරිෂ්කෘතෝ(අ)භවත්|
and He having spoken, immediately the leprosy went away from him, and he was cleansed.
43 තදා ස තං විසෘජන් ගාඪමාදිශ්‍ය ජගාද
And having sternly charged him, immediately He put him forth,
44 සාවධානෝ භව කථාමිමාං කමපි මා වද; ස්වාත්මානං යාජකං දර්ශය, ලෝකේභ්‍යඃ ස්වපරිෂ්කෘතේඃ ප්‍රමාණදානාය මූසානිර්ණීතං යද්දානං තදුත්සෘජස්ව ච|
and says to him, “See [that] you may say nothing to anyone, but go away, show yourself to the priest, and bring near for your cleansing the things Moses directed, for a testimony to them.”
45 කින්තු ස ගත්වා තත් කර්ම්ම ඉත්ථං විස්තාර‍්‍ය්‍ය ප්‍රචාරයිතුං ප්‍රාරේභේ තේනෛව යීශුඃ පුනඃ සප්‍රකාශං නගරං ප්‍රවේෂ්ටුං නාශක්නෝත් තතෝහේතෝර්බහිඃ කානනස්ථානේ තස්‍යෞ; තථාපි චතුර්ද්දිග්භ්‍යෝ ලෝකාස්තස්‍ය සමීපමායයුඃ|
And he, having gone forth, began to proclaim much, and to spread the thing abroad, so that He was no longer able to openly enter into the city, but He was outside in desolate places, and they were coming to Him from every quarter.
