මාර්කඃ 4
1 අනන්තරං ස සමුද්‍රතටේ පුනරුපදේෂ්ටුං ප්‍රාරේභේ, තතස්තත්‍ර බහුජනානාං සමාගමාත් ස සාගරෝපරි නෞකාමාරුහ්‍ය සමුපවිෂ්ටඃ; සර්ව්වේ ලෝකාඃ සමුද්‍රකූලේ තස්ථුඃ|
and again be first to teach from/with/beside the/this/who sea and (to assemble *N(k)O*) to/with it/s/he crowd (most *N(K)O*) so it/s/he toward boat to climb (the/this/who *k*) to sit in/on/among the/this/who sea and all the/this/who crowd to/with the/this/who sea upon/to/against the/this/who earth: country (to be *N(k)O*)
2 තදා ස දෘෂ්ටාන්තකථාභි ර්බහූපදිෂ්ටවාන් උපදිශංශ්ච කථිතවාන්,

3 අවධානං කුරුත, ඒකෝ බීජවප්තා බීජානි වප්තුං ගතඃ;

4 වපනකාලේ කියන්ති බීජානි මාර්ගපාශ්වේ පතිතානි, තත ආකාශීයපක්‍ෂිණ ඒත්‍ය තානි චඛාදුඃ|

5 කියන්ති බීජානි ස්වල්පමෘත්තිකාවත්පාෂාණභූමෞ පතිතානි තානි මෘදෝල්පත්වාත් ශීඝ්‍රමඞ්කුරිතානි;

13 අථ ස කථිතවාන් යූයං කිමේතද් දෘෂ්ටාන්තවාක්‍යං න බුධ්‍යධ්වේ? තර්හි කථං සර්ව්වාන් දෘෂ්ටාන්තාන භෝත්ස්‍යධ්වේ?

16 යේ ජනා වාක්‍යං ශ්‍රුත්වා සහසා පරමානන්දේන ගෘහ්ලන්ති, කින්තු හෘදි ස්ථෛර‍්‍ය්‍යාභාවාත් කිඤ්චිත් කාලමාත්‍රං තිෂ්ඨන්ති තත්පශ්චාත් තද්වාක්‍යහේතෝඃ

24 අපරමපි කථිතවාන් යූයං යද් යද් වාක්‍යං ශෘණුථ තත්‍ර සාවධානා භවත, යතෝ යූයං යේන පරිමාණේන පරිමාථ තේනෛව පරිමාණේන යුෂ්මදර්ථමපි පරිමාස්‍යතේ; ශ්‍රෝතාරෝ යූයං යුෂ්මභ්‍යමධිකං දාස්‍යතේ|

28 යතෝහේතෝඃ ප්‍රථමතඃ පත්‍රාණි තතඃ පරං කණිශානි තත්පශ්චාත් කණිශපූර්ණානි ශස්‍යානි භූමිඃ ස්වයමුත්පාදයති;

30 පුනඃ සෝ(අ)කථයද් ඊශ්වරරාජ්‍යං කේන සමං? කේන වස්තුනා සහ වා තදුපමාස්‍යාමි?

31 තත් සර්ෂපෛකේන තුල්‍යං යතෝ මෘදි වපනකාලේ සර්ෂපබීජං සර්ව්වපෘථිවීස්ථබීජාත් ක්‍ෂුද්‍රං

32 කින්තු වපනාත් පරම් අඞ්කුරයිත්වා සර්ව්වශාකාද් බෘහද් භවති, තස්‍ය බෘහත්‍යඃ ශාඛාශ්ච ජායන්තේ තතස්තච්ඡායාං පක්‍ෂිණ ආශ්‍රයන්තේ|

34 දෘෂ්ටාන්තං විනා කාමපි කථාං තේභ්‍යෝ න කථිතවාන් පශ්චාන් නිර්ජනේ ස ශිෂ්‍යාන් සර්ව්වදෘෂ්ටාන්තාර්ථං බෝධිතවාන්|

35 තද්දිනස්‍ය සන්ධ්‍යායාං ස තේභ්‍යෝ(අ)කථයද් ආගච්ඡත වයං පාරං යාම|

36 තදා තේ ලෝකාන් විසෘජ්‍ය තමවිලම්බං ගෘහීත්වා නෞකයා ප්‍රතස්ථිරේ; අපරා අපි නාවස්තයා සහ ස්ථිතාඃ|

38 තදා ස නෞකාචශ්චාද්භාගේ උපධානේ ශිරෝ නිධාය නිද්‍රිත ආසීත් තතස්තේ තං ජාගරයිත්වා ජගදුඃ, හේ ප්‍රභෝ, අස්මාකං ප්‍රාණා යාන්ති කිමත්‍ර භවතශ්චින්තා නාස්ති?

40 තදා ස තානුවාච යූයං කුත ඒතාදෘක්ශඞ්කාකුලා භවත? කිං වෝ විශ්වාසෝ නාස්ති?
