ඉබ්‍රිණඃ 8
1 කථ්‍යමානානාං වාක්‍යානාං සාරෝ(අ)යම් අස්මාකම් ඒතාදෘශ ඒකෝ මහායාජකෝ(අ)ස්ති යඃ ස්වර්ගේ මහාමහිම්නඃ සිංහාසනස්‍ය දක්‍ෂිණපාර්ශ්වෝ සමුපවිෂ්ටවාන්
Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2 යච්ච දූෂ්‍යං න මනුජෛඃ කින්ත්වීශ්වරේණ ස්ථාපිතං තස්‍ය සත්‍යදූෂ්‍යස්‍ය පවිත්‍රවස්තූනාඤ්ච සේවකඃ ස භවති|
A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3 යත ඒකෛකෝ මහායාජකෝ නෛවේද්‍යානාං බලීනාඤ්ච දානේ නියුජ්‍යතේ, අතෝ හේතෝරේතස්‍යාපි කිඤ්චිද් උත්සර්ජනීයං විද්‍යත ඉත්‍යාවශ්‍යකං|
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man should have somewhat also to offer.
4 කිඤ්ච ස යදි පෘථිව්‍යාම් අස්ථාස්‍යත් තර්හි යාජකෝ නාභවිෂ්‍යත්, යතෝ යේ ව්‍යවස්ථානුසාරාත් නෛවේද්‍යානි දදත්‍යේතාදෘශා යාජකා විද්‍යන්තේ|
For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, seeing there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 තේ තු ස්වර්ගීයවස්තූනාං දෘෂ්ටාන්තේන ඡායයා ච සේවාමනුතිෂ්ඨන්ති යතෝ මූසසි දූෂ්‍යං සාධයිතුම් උද්‍යතේ සතීශ්වරස්තදේව තමාදිෂ්ටවාන් ඵලතඃ ස තමුක්තවාන්, යථා, "අවධේහි ගිරෞ ත්වාං යද්‍යන්නිදර්ශනං දර්ශිතං තද්වත් සර්ව්වාණි ත්වයා ක්‍රියන්තාං| "
Who serve to the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See (saith he) [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shown to thee in the mount.
6 කින්ත්විදානීම් අසෞ තස්මාත් ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨං සේවකපදං ප්‍රාප්තවාන් යතඃ ස ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨප්‍රතිඥාභිඃ ස්ථාපිතස්‍ය ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨනියමස්‍ය මධ්‍යස්ථෝ(අ)භවත්|
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 ස ප්‍රථමෝ නියමෝ යදි නිර්ද්දෝෂෝ(අ)භවිෂ්‍යත තර්හි ද්විතීයස්‍ය නියමස්‍ය කිමපි ප්‍රයෝජනං නාභවිෂ්‍යත්|
For if that first [covenant] had been faultless, then would no place have been sought for the second.
8 කින්තු ස දෝෂමාරෝපයන් තේභ්‍යඃ කථයති, යථා, "පරමේශ්වර ඉදං භාෂතේ පශ්‍ය යස්මින් සමයේ(අ)හම් ඉස්‍රායේලවංශේන යිහූදාවංශේන ච සාර්ද්ධම් ඒකං නවීනං නියමං ස්ථිරීකරිෂ්‍යාම්‍යේතාදෘශඃ සමය ආයාති|
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 පරමේශ්වරෝ(අ)පරමපි කථයති තේෂාං පූර්ව්වපුරුෂාණාං මිසරදේශාද් ආනයනාර්ථං යස්මින් දිනේ(අ)හං තේෂාං කරං ධෘත්වා තෛඃ සහ නියමං ස්ථිරීකෘතවාන් තද්දිනස්‍ය නියමානුසාරේණ නහි යතස්තෛ ර්මම නියමේ ලඞ්ඝිතේ(අ)හං තාන් ප්‍රති චින්තාං නාකරවං|
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 කින්තු පරමේශ්වරඃ කථයති තද්දිනාත් පරමහං ඉස්‍රායේලවංශීයෛඃ සාර්ද්ධම් ඉමං නියමං ස්ථිරීකරිෂ්‍යාමි, තේෂාං චිත්තේ මම විධීන් ස්ථාපයිෂ්‍යාමි තේෂාං හෘත්පත්‍රේ ච තාන් ලේඛිෂ්‍යාමි, අපරමහං තේෂාම් ඊශ්වරෝ භවිෂ්‍යාමි තේ ච මම ලෝකා භවිෂ්‍යන්ති|
For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 අපරං ත්වං පරමේශ්වරං ජානීහීතිවාක්‍යේන තේෂාමේකෛකෝ ජනඃ ස්වං ස්වං සමීපවාසිනං භ්‍රාතරඤ්ච පුන ර්න ශික්‍ෂයිෂ්‍යති යත ආක්‍ෂුද්‍රාත් මහාන්තං යාවත් සර්ව්වේ මාං ඥාස්‍යන්ති|
And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 යතෝ හේතෝරහං තේෂාම් අධර්ම්මාන් ක්‍ෂමිෂ්‍යේ තේෂාං පාපාන්‍යපරාධාංශ්ච පුනඃ කදාපි න ස්මරිෂ්‍යාමි| "
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 අනේන තං නියමං නූතනං ගදිත්වා ස ප්‍රථමං නියමං පුරාතනීකෘතවාන්; යච්ච පුරාතනං ජීර්ණාඤ්ච ජාතං තස්‍ය ලෝපෝ නිකටෝ (අ)භවත්|
In that he saith, A new [covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and groweth old [is] ready to vanish away.
