ප්‍රේරිතාඃ 15
1 යිහූදාදේශාත් කියන්තෝ ජනා ආගත්‍ය භ්‍රාතෘගණමිත්ථං ශික්‍ෂිතවන්තෝ මූසාව්‍යවස්ථයා යදි යුෂ්මාකං ත්වක්ඡේදෝ න භවති තර්හි යූයං පරිත්‍රාණං ප්‍රාප්තුං න ශක්‍ෂ්‍යථ|
Then some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers: “If you are not circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”
2 පෞලබර්ණබ්බෞ තෛඃ සහ බහූන් විචාරාන් විවාදාංශ්ච කෘතවන්තෞ, තතෝ මණ්ඩලීයනෝකා ඒතස්‍යාඃ කථායාස්තත්ත්වං ඥාතුං යිරූශාලම්නගරස්ථාන් ප්‍රේරිතාන් ප්‍රාචීනාංශ්ච ප්‍රති පෞලබර්ණබ්බාප්‍රභෘතීන් කතිපයජනාන් ප්‍රේෂයිතුං නිශ්චයං කෘතවන්තඃ|
Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had a great dissension and debate with them, the brothers appointed Paul and Barnabas and some others from among the believers to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem to discuss this issue.
3 තේ මණ්ඩල්‍යා ප්‍රේරිතාඃ සන්තඃ ඵෛණීකීශෝමිරෝන්දේශාභ්‍යාං ගත්වා භින්නදේශීයානාං මනඃපරිවර්ත්තනස්‍ය වාර්ත්තයා භ්‍රාතෘණාං පරමාහ්ලාදම් අජනයන්|
After being sent on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria and brought great joy to all the brothers when they described in detail the conversion of the Gentiles.
4 යිරූශාලම්‍යුපස්ථාය ප්‍රේරිතගණේන ලෝකප්‍රාචීනගණේන සමාජේන ච සමුපගෘහීතාඃ සන්තඃ ස්වෛරීශ්වරෝ යානි කර්ම්මාණි කෘතවාන් තේෂාං සර්ව්වවෘත්තාන්තාන් තේෂාං සමක්‍ෂම් අකථයන්|
When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, the apostles, and the elders, and they reported all that God had done through them.
5 කින්තු විශ්වාසිනඃ කියන්තඃ ඵිරූශිමතග්‍රාහිණෝ ලෝකා උත්ථාය කථාමේතාං කථිතවන්තෝ භින්නදේශීයානාං ත්වක්ඡේදං කර්ත්තුං මූසාව්‍යවස්ථාං පාලයිතුඤ්ච සමාදේෂ්ටව්‍යම්|
But some of the believers who belonged to the sect of the Pharisees stood up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise the Gentiles and command them to keep the law of Moses.”
6 තතඃ ප්‍රේරිතා ලෝකප්‍රාචීනාශ්ච තස්‍ය විවේචනාං කර්ත්තුං සභායාං ස්ථිතවන්තඃ|
So the apostles and the elders gathered together to consider this matter.
7 බහුවිචාරේෂු ජාතෂු පිතර උත්ථාය කථිතවාන්, හේ භ්‍රාතරෝ යථා භින්නදේශීයලෝකා මම මුඛාත් සුසංවාදං ශ්‍රුත්වා විශ්වසන්ති තදර්ථං බහුදිනාත් පූර්ව්වම් ඊශ්වරෝස්මාකං මධ්‍යේ මාං වෘත්වා නියුක්තවාන්|
After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among us, that by the words of my mouth the Gentiles would hear the message of the gospel and believe.
8 අන්තර‍්‍ය්‍යාමීශ්වරෝ යථාස්මභ්‍යං තථා භින්නදේශීයේභ්‍යඃ පවිත්‍රමාත්මානං ප්‍රදාය විශ්වාසේන තේෂාම් අන්තඃකරණානි පවිත්‍රාණි කෘත්වා
And God, who knows the heart, testified to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he did to us.
9 තේෂාම් අස්මාකඤ්ච මධ්‍යේ කිමපි විශේෂං න ස්ථාපයිත්වා තානධි ස්වයං ප්‍රමාණං දත්තවාන් ඉති යූයං ජානීථ|
He made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 අතඒවාස්මාකං පූර්ව්වපුරුෂා වයඤ්ච ස්වයං යද්‍යුගස්‍ය භාරං සෝඪුං න ශක්තාඃ සම්ප්‍රති තං ශිෂ්‍යගණස්‍ය ස්කන්ධේෂු න්‍යසිතුං කුත ඊශ්වරස්‍ය පරීක්‍ෂාං කරිෂ්‍යථ?
Now then, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?
11 ප්‍රභෝ ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යානුග්‍රහේණ තේ යථා වයමපි තථා පරිත්‍රාණං ප්‍රාප්තුම් ආශාං කුර්ම්මඃ|
On the contrary, we believe that we are saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way they are.”
12 අනන්තරං බර්ණබ්බාපෞලාභ්‍යාම් ඊශ්වරෝ භින්නදේශීයානාං මධ්‍යේ යද්‍යද් ආශ්චර‍්‍ය්‍යම් අද්භුතඤ්ච කර්ම්ම කෘතවාන් තද්වෘත්තාන්තං තෞ ස්වමුඛාභ්‍යාම් අවර්ණයතාං සභාස්ථාඃ සර්ව්වේ නීරවාඃ සන්තඃ ශ්‍රුතවන්තඃ|
Then the entire assembly fell silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul tell of all the signs and wonders God had performed through them among the Gentiles.
13 තයෝඃ කථායාං සමාප්තායාං සත්‍යාං යාකූබ් කථයිතුම් ආරබ්ධවාන්
When they had finished speaking, James replied, “Brothers, listen to me.
14 හේ භ්‍රාතරෝ මම කථායාම් මනෝ නිධත්ත| ඊශ්වරඃ ස්වනාමාර්ථං භින්නදේශීයලෝකානාම් මධ්‍යාද් ඒකං ලෝකසංඝං ග්‍රහීතුං මතිං කෘත්වා යේන ප්‍රකාරේණ ප්‍රථමං තාන් ප්‍රති කෘපාවලේකනං කෘතවාන් තං ශිමෝන් වර්ණිතවාන්|
Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from among them a people for his name.
15 භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිභිරුක්තානි යානි වාක්‍යානි තෛඃ සාර්ද්ධම් ඒතස්‍යෛක්‍යං භවති යථා ලිඛිතමාස්තේ|
The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, just as it is written:
16 සර්ව්වේෂාං කර්ම්මණාං යස්තු සාධකඃ පරමේශ්වරඃ| ස ඒවේදං වදේද්වාක්‍යං ශේෂාඃ සකලමානවාඃ| භින්නදේශීයලෝකාශ්ච යාවන්තෝ මම නාමතඃ| භවන්ති හි සුවිඛ්‍යාතාස්තේ යථා පරමේශිතුඃ|
‘After this I will return and rebuild the tabernacle of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins and erect it again,
17 තත්වං සම්‍යක් සමීහන්තේ තන්නිමිත්තමහං කිල| පරාවෘත්‍ය සමාගත්‍ය දායූදඃ පතිතං පුනඃ| දූෂ්‍යමුත්ථාපයිෂ්‍යාමි තදීයං සර්ව්වවස්තු ච| පතිතං පුනරුථාප්‍ය සජ්ජයිෂ්‍යාමි සර්ව්වථා||
so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who does all these things.’
All God's works are known to him from long ago. (aiōn g165)
19 අතඒව මම නිවේදනමිදං භින්නදේශීයලෝකානාං මධ්‍යේ යේ ජනා ඊශ්වරං ප්‍රති පරාවර්ත්තන්ත තේෂාමුපරි අන්‍යං කමපි භාරං න න්‍යස්‍ය
Therefore my judgment is that we not create difficulties for those among the Gentiles who turn to God,
20 දේවතාප්‍රසාදාශුචිභක්‍ෂ්‍යං ව්‍යභිචාරකර්ම්ම කණ්ඨසම්පීඩනමාරිතප්‍රාණිභක්‍ෂ්‍යං රක්තභක්‍ෂ්‍යඤ්ච ඒතානි පරිත්‍යක්තුං ලිඛාමඃ|
but that we write to them, telling them to abstain from things defiled by idols, from fornication, from what has been strangled, and from blood.
21 යතඃ පූර්ව්වකාලතෝ මූසාව්‍යවස්ථාප්‍රචාරිණෝ ලෝකා නගරේ නගරේ සන්ති ප්‍රතිවිශ්‍රාමවාරඤ්ච භජනභවනේ තස්‍යාඃ පාඨෝ භවති|
For from generations of old, Moses has had those who preach him in every city, because he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
22 තතඃ පරං ප්‍රේරිතගණෝ ලෝකප්‍රාචීනගණඃ සර්ව්වා මණ්ඩලී ච ස්වේෂාං මධ්‍යේ බර්ශබ්බා නාම්නා විඛ්‍යාතෝ මනෝනීතෞ කෘත්වා පෞලබර්ණබ්බාභ්‍යාං සාර්ද්ධම් ආන්තියඛියානගරං ප්‍රති ප්‍රේෂණම් උචිතං බුද්ධ්වා තාභ්‍යාං පත්‍රං ප්‍රෛෂයන්|
Then it seemed good to the apostles and to the elders, together with the whole church, to send men chosen from among them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, leading men among the brothers,
23 තස්මින් පත්‍රේ ලිඛිතමිංද, ආන්තියඛියා-සුරියා-කිලිකියාදේශස්ථභින්නදේශීයභ්‍රාතෘගණාය ප්‍රේරිතගණස්‍ය ලෝකප්‍රාචීනගණස්‍ය භ්‍රාතෘගණස්‍ය ච නමස්කාරඃ|
and to send with them this letter they had written: “The apostles, elders, and brothers, to the Gentile brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.
24 විශේෂතෝ(අ)ස්මාකම් ආඥාම් අප්‍රාප්‍යාපි කියන්තෝ ජනා අස්මාකං මධ්‍යාද් ගත්වා ත්වක්ඡේදෝ මූසාව්‍යවස්ථා ච පාලයිතව්‍යාවිති යුෂ්මාන් ශික්‍ෂයිත්වා යුෂ්මාකං මනසාමස්ථෛර‍්‍ය්‍යං කෘත්වා යුෂ්මාන් සසන්දේහාන් අකුර්ව්වන් ඒතාං කථාං වයම් අශෘන්ම|
Since we have heard that certain men, whom we did not authorize, have gone out from us and troubled you with their words, unsettling your minds by saying that you must be circumcised and keep the law,
25 තත්කාරණාද් වයම් ඒකමන්ත්‍රණාඃ සන්තඃ සභායාං ස්ථිත්වා ප්‍රභෝ ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය නාමනිමිත්තං මෘත්‍යුමුඛගතාභ්‍යාමස්මාකං
it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to send you men chosen from among us, along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 ප්‍රියබර්ණබ්බාපෞලාභ්‍යාං සාර්ද්ධං මනෝනීතලෝකානාං කේෂාඤ්චිද් යුෂ්මාකං සන්නිධෞ ප්‍රේෂණම් උචිතං බුද්ධවන්තඃ|
who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 අතෝ යිහූදාසීලෞ යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රති ප්‍රේෂිතවන්තඃ, ඒතයෝ ර්මුඛාභ්‍යාං සර්ව්වාං කථාං ඥාස්‍යථ|
Therefore we have sent Judas and Silas, who will tell you the same things in their own words.
28 දේවතාප්‍රසාදභක්‍ෂ්‍යං රක්තභක්‍ෂ්‍යං ගලපීඩනමාරිතප්‍රාණිභක්‍ෂ්‍යං ව්‍යභිචාරකර්ම්ම චේමානි සර්ව්වාණි යුෂ්මාභිස්ත්‍යාජ්‍යානි; ඒතත්ප්‍රයෝජනීයාඥාව්‍යතිරේකේන යුෂ්මාකම් උපරි භාරමන්‍යං න න්‍යසිතුං පවිත්‍රස්‍යාත්මනෝ(අ)ස්මාකඤ්ච උචිතඥානම් අභවත්|
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no further burden than these essentials:
29 අතඒව තේභ්‍යඃ සර්ව්වේභ්‍යඃ ස්වේෂු රක්‍ෂිතේෂු යූයං භද්‍රං කර්ම්ම කරිෂ්‍යථ| යුෂ්මාකං මඞ්ගලං භූයාත්|
You must abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what has been strangled, and from fornication. If you keep yourselves from these things, you will do well. Farewell.”
30 තේ විසෘෂ්ටාඃ සන්ත ආන්තියඛියානගර උපස්ථාය ලෝකනිවහං සංගෘහ්‍ය පත්‍රම් අදදන්|
So when these men had been sent off, they went to Antioch, and after gathering the congregation together, they delivered the letter.
31 තතස්තේ තත්පත්‍රං පඨිත්වා සාන්ත්වනාං ප්‍රාප්‍ය සානන්දා අභවන්|
When the people read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement.
32 යිහූදාසීලෞ ච ස්වයං ප්‍රචාරකෞ භූත්වා භ්‍රාතෘගණං නානෝපදිශ්‍ය තාන් සුස්ථිරාන් අකුරුතාම්|
Then Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.
33 ඉත්ථං තෞ තත්‍ර තෛඃ සාකං කතිපයදිනානි යාපයිත්වා පශ්චාත් ප්‍රේරිතානාං සමීපේ ප්‍රත්‍යාගමනාර්ථං තේෂාං සන්නිධේඃ කල්‍යාණේන විසෘෂ්ටාවභවතාං|
After spending some time there, they were sent off to the apostles in peace by the brothers.
34 කින්තු සීලස්තත්‍ර ස්ථාතුං වාඤ්ඡිතවාන්|
35 අපරං පෞලබර්ණබ්බෞ බහවඃ ශිෂ්‍යාශ්ච ලෝකාන් උපදිශ්‍ය ප්‍රභෝඃ සුසංවාදං ප්‍රචාරයන්ත ආන්තියඛියායාං කාලං යාපිතවන්තඃ|
But Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and preaching, along with many others, the good news of the word of the Lord.
36 කතිපයදිනේෂු ගතේෂු පෞලෝ බර්ණබ්බාම් අවදත් ආගච්ඡාවාං යේෂු නගරේෂ්වීශ්වරස්‍ය සුසංවාදං ප්‍රචාරිතවන්තෞ තානි සර්ව්වනගරාණි පුනර්ගත්වා භ්‍රාතරඃ කීදෘශාඃ සන්තීති ද්‍රෂ්ටුං තාන් සාක්‍ෂාත් කුර්ව්වඃ|
After some days had gone by, Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit our brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”
37 තේන මාර්කනාම්නා විඛ්‍යාතං යෝහනං සඞ්ගිනං කර්ත්තුං බර්ණබ්බා මතිමකරෝත්,
Now Barnabas wanted to bring John, who was called Mark.
38 කින්තු ස පූර්ව්වං තාභ්‍යාං සහ කාර‍්‍ය්‍යාර්ථං න ගත්වා පාම්ඵූලියාදේශේ තෞ ත්‍යක්තවාන් තත්කාරණාත් පෞලස්තං සඞ්ගිනං කර්ත්තුම් අනුචිතං ඥාතවාන්|
But Paul thought it best not to bring this man who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone on with them in their work.
39 ඉත්ථං තයෝරතිශයවිරෝධස්‍යෝපස්ථිතත්වාත් තෞ පරස්පරං පෘථගභවතාං තතෝ බර්ණබ්බා මාර්කං ගෘහීත්වා පෝතේන කුප්‍රෝපද්වීපං ගතවාන්;
So there arose a sharp disagreement, with the result that they parted from one another. Barnabas took Mark and sailed off to Cyprus,
40 කින්තු පෞලඃ සීලං මනෝනීතං කෘත්වා භ්‍රාතෘභිරීශ්වරානුග්‍රහේ සමර්පිතඃ සන් ප්‍රස්ථාය
but Paul chose Silas and departed, once he had been committed by the brothers to the grace of God.
41 සුරියාකිලිකියාදේශාභ්‍යාං මණ්ඩලීඃ ස්ථිරීකුර්ව්වන් අගච්ඡත්|
And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
