ප්‍රේරිතාඃ 13
1 අපරඤ්ච බර්ණබ්බාඃ, ශිමෝන් යං නිග්‍රං වදන්ති, කුරීනීයලූකියෝ හේරෝදා රාඥා සහ කෘතවිද්‍යාභ්‍යාසෝ මිනහේම්, ශෞලශ්චෛතේ යේ කියන්තෝ ජනා භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදින උපදේෂ්ටාරශ්චාන්තියඛියානගරස්ථමණ්ඩල්‍යාම් ආසන්,
And there were certain in Antioch, in the assembly there, prophets and teachers: both Barnabas, and Simeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also—Herod the tetrarch’s foster-brother—and Saul;
2 තේ යදෝපවාසං කෘත්වේශ්වරම් අසේවන්ත තස්මින් සමයේ පවිත්‍ර ආත්මා කථිතවාන් අහං යස්මින් කර්ම්මණි බර්ණබ්බාශෛලෞ නියුක්තවාන් තත්කර්ම්ම කර්ත්තුං තෞ පෘථක් කුරුත|
and in their ministering to the LORD and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate to Me both Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them,”
3 තතස්තෛරුපවාසප්‍රාර්ථනයෝඃ කෘතයෝඃ සතෝස්තේ තයෝ ර්ගාත්‍රයෝ ර්හස්තාර්පණං කෘත්වා තෞ ව්‍යසෘජන්|
then having fasted, and having prayed, and having laid the hands on them, they sent [them] away.
4 තතඃ පරං තෞ පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා ප්‍රේරිතෞ සන්තෞ සිලූකියානගරම් උපස්ථාය සමුද්‍රපථේන කුප්‍රෝපද්වීපම් අගච්ඡතාං|
These, indeed, then, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus,
5 තතඃ සාලාමීනගරම් උපස්ථාය තත්‍ර යිහූදීයානාං භජනභවනානි ගත්වේශ්වරස්‍ය කථාං ප්‍රාචාරයතාං; යෝහනපි තත්සහචරෝ(අ)භවත්|
and having come to Salamis, they declared the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews, and they also had John [as] a servant;
6 ඉත්ථං තේ තස්‍යෝපද්වීපස්‍ය සර්ව්වත්‍ර භ්‍රමන්තඃ පාඵනගරම් උපස්ථිතාඃ; තත්‍ර සුවිවේචකේන සර්ජියපෞලනාම්නා තද්දේශාධිපතිනා සහ භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනෝ වේශධාරී බර‍්‍යීශුනාමා යෝ මායාවී යිහූදී ආසීත් තං සාක්‍ෂාත් ප්‍රාප්තවතඃ|
and having gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain magus, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [is] Bar-Jesus;
7 තද්දේශාධිප ඊශ්වරස්‍ය කථාං ශ්‍රෝතුං වාඤ්ඡන් පෞලබර්ණබ්බෞ න්‍යමන්ත්‍රයත්|
who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man; this one having called for Barnabas and Saul, desired to hear the word of God,
8 කින්ත්විලුමා යං මායාවිනං වදන්ති ස දේශාධිපතිං ධර්ම්මමාර්ගාද් බහිර්භූතං කර්ත්තුම් අයතත|
and there withstood them Elymas the magus—for so is his name interpreted—seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith.
9 තස්මාත් ශෝලෝ(අ)ර්ථාත් පෞලඃ පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා පරිපූර්ණඃ සන් තං මායාවිනං ප්‍රත්‍යනන්‍යදෘෂ්ටිං කෘත්වාකථයත්,
And Saul—who also [is] Paul—having been filled with the Holy Spirit, and having looked steadfastly on him,
10 හේ නරකින් ධර්ම්මද්වේෂින් කෞටිල්‍යදුෂ්කර්ම්මපරිපූර්ණ, ත්වං කිං ප්‍රභෝඃ සත්‍යපථස්‍ය විපර‍්‍ය්‍යයකරණාත් කදාපි න නිවර්ත්තිෂ්‍යසේ?
said, “O full of all guile, and all recklessness, son of a devil, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the right ways of the LORD?
11 අධුනා පරමේශ්වරස්තව සමුචිතං කරිෂ්‍යති තේන කතිපයදිනානි ත්වම් අන්ධඃ සන් සූර‍්‍ය්‍යමපි න ද්‍රක්‍ෂ්‍යසි| තත්ක්‍ෂණාද් රාත්‍රිවද් අන්ධකාරස්තස්‍ය දෘෂ්ටිම් ආච්ඡාදිතවාන්; තස්මාත් තස්‍ය හස්තං ධර්ත්තුං ස ලෝකමන්විච්ඡන් ඉතස්තතෝ භ්‍රමණං කෘතවාන්|
And now, behold, a hand of the LORD [is] on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season”; and instantly there fell on him a mist and darkness, and he, going around, was seeking some to lead [him] by the hand;
12 ඒනාං ඝටනාං දෘෂ්ට්වා ස දේශාධිපතිඃ ප්‍රභූපදේශාද් විස්මිත්‍ය විශ්වාසං කෘතවාන්|
then the proconsul having seen what has come to pass, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the LORD.
13 තදනන්තරං පෞලස්තත්සඞ්ගිනෞ ච පාඵනගරාත් ප්‍රෝතං චාලයිත්වා පම්ඵුලියාදේශස්‍ය පර්ගීනගරම් අගච්ඡන් කින්තු යෝහන් තයෝඃ සමීපාද් ඒත්‍ය යිරූශාලමං ප්‍රත්‍යාගච්ඡත්|
And those around Paul having set sail from Paphos, came to Perga of Pamphylia, and John having departed from them, turned back to Jerusalem,
14 පශ්චාත් තෞ පර්ගීතෝ යාත්‍රාං කෘත්වා පිසිදියාදේශස්‍ය ආන්තියඛියානගරම් උපස්ථාය විශ්‍රාමවාරේ භජනභවනං ප්‍රවිශ්‍ය සමුපාවිශතාං|
and they having gone through from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia, and having gone into the synagogue on the day of the Sabbaths, they sat down,
15 ව්‍යවස්ථාභවිෂ්‍යද්වාක්‍යයෝඃ පඨිතයෝඃ සතෝ ර්හේ භ්‍රාතරෞ ලෝකාන් ප්‍රති යුවයෝඃ කාචිද් උපදේශකථා යද්‍යස්ති තර්හි තාං වදතං තෞ ප්‍රති තස්‍ය භජනභවනස්‍යාධිපතයඃ කථාම් ඒතාං කථයිත්වා ප්‍රෛෂයන්|
and after the reading of the Law and of the Prophets, the chief men of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if there be a word in you of exhortation to the people—say on.”
16 අතඃ පෞල උත්තිෂ්ඨන් හස්තේන සඞ්කේතං කුර්ව්වන් කථිතවාන් හේ ඉස්‍රායේලීයමනුෂ්‍යා ඊශ්වරපරායණාඃ සර්ව්වේ ලෝකා යූයම් අවධද්ධං|
And Paul having risen, and having beckoned with the hand, said, “Men, Israelites, and those fearing God, listen:
17 ඒතේෂාමිස්‍රායේල්ලෝකානාම් ඊශ්වරෝ(අ)ස්මාකං පූර්ව්වපරුෂාන් මනෝනීතාන් කත්වා ගෘහීතවාන් තතෝ මිසරි දේශේ ප්‍රවසනකාලේ තේෂාමුන්නතිං කෘත්වා තස්මාත් ස්වීයබාහුබලේන තාන් බහිඃ කෘත්වා සමානයත්|
the God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and He exalted the people in their sojourning in the land of Egypt, and He brought them out of it with a high arm;
18 චත්වාරිංශද්වත්සරාන් යාවච්ච මහාප්‍රාන්තරේ තේෂාං භරණං කෘත්වා
and about a period of forty years He endured their conduct in the wilderness,
19 කිනාන්දේශාන්තර්ව්වර්ත්තීණි සප්තරාජ්‍යානි නාශයිත්වා ගුටිකාපාතේන තේෂු සර්ව්වදේශේෂු තේභ්‍යෝ(අ)ධිකාරං දත්තවාන්|
and having destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He divided their land to them by lot.
20 පඤ්චාශදධිකචතුඃශතේෂු වත්සරේෂු ගතේෂු ච ශිමූයේල්භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිපර‍්‍ය්‍යන්තං තේෂාමුපරි විචාරයිතෘන් නියුක්තවාන්|
And after these things, about four hundred and fifty years, He gave judges—until Samuel the prophet;
21 තෛශ්ච රාඥි ප්‍රාර්ථිතේ, ඊශ්වරෝ බින්‍යාමීනෝ වංශජාතස්‍ය කීශඃ පුත්‍රං ශෞලං චත්වාරිංශද්වර්ෂපර‍්‍ය්‍යන්තං තේෂාමුපරි රාජානං කෘතවාන්|
and thereafter they asked for a king, and God gave to them Saul, son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years;
22 පශ්චාත් තං පදච්‍යුතං කෘත්වා යෝ මදිෂ්ටක්‍රියාඃ සර්ව්වාඃ කරිෂ්‍යති තාදෘශං මම මනෝභිමතම් ඒකං ජනං යිශයඃ පුත්‍රං දායූදං ප්‍රාප්තවාන් ඉදං ප්‍රමාණං යස්මින් දායූදි ස දත්තවාන් තං දායූදං තේෂාමුපරි රාජත්වං කර්ත්තුම් උත්පාදිතවාන|
and having removed him, He raised up to them David for king, to whom also having testified, He said, I found David, the [son] of Jesse, a man according to My heart, who will do all My will.
23 තස්‍ය ස්වප්‍රතිශ්‍රුතස්‍ය වාක්‍යස්‍යානුසාරේණ ඉස්‍රායේල්ලෝකානාං නිමිත්තං තේෂාං මනුෂ්‍යාණාං වංශාද් ඊශ්වර ඒකං යීශුං (ත්‍රාතාරම්) උදපාදයත්|
Of this one’s seed, God, according to promise, raised to Israel a Savior—Jesus,
24 තස්‍ය ප්‍රකාශනාත් පූර්ව්වං යෝහන් ඉස්‍රායේල්ලෝකානාං සන්නිධෞ මනඃපරාවර්ත්තනරූපං මජ්ජනං ප්‍රාචාරයත්|
John having first preached, before His coming, an immersion of conversion to all the people of Israel;
25 යස්‍ය ච කර්ම්මණෝ භාරං ප්‍රප්තවාන් යෝහන් තන් නිෂ්පාදයන් ඒතාං කථාං කථිතවාන්, යූයං මාං කං ජනං ජානීථ? අහම් අභිෂික්තත්‍රාතා නහි, කින්තු පශ්‍යත යස්‍ය පාදයෝඃ පාදුකයෝ ර්බන්ධනේ මෝචයිතුමපි යෝග්‍යෝ න භවාමි තාදෘශ ඒකෝ ජනෝ මම පශ්චාද් උපතිෂ්ඨති|
and as John was fulfilling the course, he said, Whom do you suppose I am? I am not [He], but behold, He comes after me, of whom I am not worthy to loose the sandal of [His] feet.
26 හේ ඉබ්‍රාහීමෝ වංශජාතා භ්‍රාතරෝ හේ ඊශ්වරභීතාඃ සර්ව්වලෝකා යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රති පරිත්‍රාණස්‍ය කථෛෂා ප්‍රේරිතා|
Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing God, to you was the word of this salvation sent,
27 යිරූශාලම්නිවාසිනස්තේෂාම් අධිපතයශ්ච තස්‍ය යීශෝඃ පරිචයං න ප්‍රාප්‍ය ප්‍රතිවිශ්‍රාමවාරං පඨ්‍යමානානාං භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිකථානාම් අභිප්‍රායම් අබුද්ධ්වා ච තස්‍ය වධේන තාඃ කථාඃ සඵලා අකුර්ව්වන්|
for those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their chiefs, having not known this One, also the voices of the Prophets, which are being read every Sabbath—having judged [Him]—fulfilled,
28 ප්‍රාණහනනස්‍ය කමපි හේතුම් අප්‍රාප්‍යාපි පීලාතස්‍ය නිකටේ තස්‍ය වධං ප්‍රාර්ථයන්ත|
and having found no cause of death, they asked of Pilate that He should be slain,
29 තස්මින් යාඃ කථා ලිඛිතාඃ සන්ති තදනුසාරේණ කර්ම්ම සම්පාද්‍ය තං ක්‍රුශාද් අවතාර‍්‍ය්‍ය ශ්මශානේ ශායිතවන්තඃ|
and when they fulfilled all the things written about Him, having taken [Him] down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb;
30 කින්ත්වීශ්වරඃ ශ්මශානාත් තමුදස්ථාපයත්,
and God raised Him out of the dead,
31 පුනශ්ච ගාලීලප්‍රදේශාද් යිරූශාලමනගරං තේන සාර්ද්ධං යේ ලෝකා ආගච්ඡන් ස බහුදිනානි තේභ්‍යෝ දර්ශනං දත්තවාන්, අතස්ත ඉදානීං ලෝකාන් ප්‍රති තස්‍ය සාක්‍ෂිණඃ සන්ති|
and He was seen for many days of those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.
32 අස්මාකං පූර්ව්වපුරුෂාණාං සමක්‍ෂම් ඊශ්වරෝ යස්මින් ප්‍රතිඥාතවාන් යථා, ත්වං මේ පුත්‍රෝසි චාද්‍ය ත්වාං සමුත්ථාපිතවානහම්|
And we proclaim good news to you—that the promise made to the fathers,
33 ඉදං යද්වචනං ද්විතීයගීතේ ලිඛිතමාස්තේ තද් යීශෝරුත්ථානේන තේෂාං සන්තානා යේ වයම් අස්මාකං සන්නිධෞ තේන ප්‍රත්‍යක්‍ෂී කෘතං, යුෂ්මාන් ඉමං සුසංවාදං ඥාපයාමි|
God has completed this in full to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as also in the second Psalm it has been written: You are My Son—I have begotten You today.
34 පරමේශ්වරේණ ශ්මශානාද් උත්ථාපිතං තදීයං ශරීරං කදාපි න ක්‍ෂේෂ්‍යතේ, ඒතස්මින් ස ස්වයං කථිතවාන් යථා දායූදං ප්‍රති ප්‍රතිඥාතෝ යෝ වරස්තමහං තුභ්‍යං දාස්‍යාමි|
And that He raised Him up out of the dead, to no longer return to corruption, He has said this: I will give to You the holy [blessings] of David [that are] faithful;
35 ඒතදන්‍යස්මින් ගීතේ(අ)පි කථිතවාන්| ස්වකීයං පුණ්‍යවන්තං ත්වං ක්‍ෂයිතුං න ච දාස්‍යසි|
for what reason He also says in another [place]: You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption;
36 දායූදා ඊශ්වරාභිමතසේවායෛ නිජායුෂි ව්‍යයිතේ සති ස මහානිද්‍රාං ප්‍රාප්‍ය නිජෛඃ පූර්ව්වපුරුෂෛඃ සහ මිලිතඃ සන් අක්‍ෂීයත;
for David, indeed, having served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption,
37 කින්තු යමීශ්වරඃ ශ්මශානාද් උදස්ථාපයත් ස නාක්‍ෂීයත|
but He whom God raised up, did not see corruption.
38 අතෝ හේ භ්‍රාතරඃ, අනේන ජනේන පාපමෝචනං භවතීති යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රති ප්‍රචාරිතම් ආස්තේ|
Let it therefore be known to you, men, brothers, that the forgiveness of sins is declared to you through this One,
39 ඵලතෝ මූසාව්‍යවස්ථයා යූයං යේභ්‍යෝ දෝෂේභ්‍යෝ මුක්තා භවිතුං න ශක්‍ෂ්‍යථ තේභ්‍යඃ සර්ව්වදෝෂේභ්‍ය ඒතස්මින් ජනේ විශ්වාසිනඃ සර්ව්වේ මුක්තා භවිෂ්‍යන්තීති යුෂ්මාභි ර්ඥායතාං|
and from all things in the Law of Moses from which you were not able to be declared righteous, everyone who is believing in this One is declared righteous;
40 අපරඤ්ච| අවඥාකාරිණෝ ලෝකාශ්චක්‍ෂුරුන්මීල්‍ය පශ්‍යත| තථෛවාසම්භවං ඥාත්වා ස්‍යාත යූයං විලජ්ජිතාඃ| යතෝ යුෂ්මාසු තිෂ්ඨත්සු කරිෂ්‍යේ කර්ම්ම තාදෘශං| යේනෛව තස්‍ය වෘත්තාන්තේ යුෂ්මභ්‍යං කථිතේ(අ)පි හි| යූයං න තන්තු වෘත්තාන්තං ප්‍රත්‍යේෂ්‍යථ කදාචන||
see, therefore, it may not come on you that has been spoken in the Prophets:
41 යේයං කථා භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනාං ග්‍රන්ථේෂු ලිඛිතාස්තේ සාවධානා භවත ස කථා යථා යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රති න ඝටතේ|
See, you despisers, and wonder, and perish, because I work a work in your days, a work in which you may not believe, though anyone may declare [it] to you.”
42 යිහූදීයභජනභවනාන් නිර්ගතයෝස්තයෝ ර්භින්නදේශීයෛ ර්වක්‍ෂ්‍යමාණා ප්‍රාර්ථනා කෘතා, ආගාමිනි විශ්‍රාමවාරේ(අ)පි කථේයම් අස්මාන් ප්‍රති ප්‍රචාරිතා භවත්විති|
And having gone forth out of the synagogue of the Jews, the nations were calling on [them] that on the next Sabbath these sayings may be spoken to them,
43 සභායා භඞ්ගේ සති බහවෝ යිහූදීයලෝකා යිහූදීයමතග්‍රාහිණෝ භක්තලෝකාශ්ච බර්ණබ්බාපෞලයෝඃ පශ්චාද් ආගච්ඡන්, තේන තෞ තෛඃ සහ නානාකථාඃ කථයිත්වේශ්වරානුග්‍රහාශ්‍රයේ ස්ථාතුං තාන් ප්‍රාවර්ත්තයතාං|
and the synagogue having been dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were persuading them to remain in the grace of God.
44 පරවිශ්‍රාමවාරේ නගරස්‍ය ප්‍රායේණ සර්ව්වේ ලාකා ඊශ්වරීයාං කථාං ශ්‍රෝතුං මිලිතාඃ,
And on the coming Sabbath, almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word of God,
45 කින්තු යිහූදීයලෝකා ජනනිවහං විලෝක්‍ය ඊර්ෂ්‍යයා පරිපූර්ණාඃ සන්තෝ විපරීතකථාකථනේනේශ්වරනින්දයා ච පෞලේනෝක්තාං කථාං ඛණ්ඩයිතුං චේෂ්ටිතවන්තඃ|
and the Jews having seen the multitudes, were filled with zeal, and contradicted the things spoken by Paul—contradicting and slandering.
46 තතඃ පෞලබර්ණබ්බාවක්‍ෂෝභෞ කථිතවන්තෞ ප්‍රථමං යුෂ්මාකං සන්නිධාවීශ්වරීයකථායාඃ ප්‍රචාරණම් උචිතමාසීත් කින්තුං තදග්‍රාහ්‍යත්වකරණේන යූයං ස්වාන් අනන්තායුෂෝ(අ)යෝග්‍යාන් දර්ශයථ, ඒතත්කාරණාද් වයම් අන්‍යදේශීයලෝකානාං සමීපං ගච්ඡාමඃ| (aiōnios g166)
And speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, “It was necessary that the word of God be first spoken to you, and seeing you thrust it away, and do not judge yourselves worthy of the continuous life, behold, we turn to the nations; (aiōnios g166)
47 ප්‍රභුරස්මාන් ඉත්ථම් ආදිෂ්ටවාන් යථා, යාවච්ච ජගතඃ සීමාං ලෝකානාං ත්‍රාණකාරණාත්| මයාන්‍යදේශමධ්‍යේ ත්වං ස්ථාපිතෝ භූඃ ප්‍රදීපවත්||
for so the LORD has commanded us: I have set you for a light of nations—for your being for salvation to the end of the earth.”
48 තදා කථාමීදෘශීං ශ්‍රුත්වා භින්නදේශීයා ආහ්ලාදිතාඃ සන්තඃ ප්‍රභෝඃ කථාං ධන්‍යාං ධන්‍යාම් අවදන්, යාවන්තෝ ලෝකාශ්ච පරමායුඃ ප්‍රාප්තිනිමිත්තං නිරූපිතා ආසන් තේ ව්‍යශ්වසන්| (aiōnios g166)
And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the LORD, and believed—as many as were appointed to continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
49 ඉත්ථං ප්‍රභෝඃ කථා සර්ව්වේදේශං ව්‍යාප්නෝත්|
and the word of the LORD was spread abroad through all the region.
50 කින්තු යිහූදීයා නගරස්‍ය ප්‍රධානපුරුෂාන් සම්මාන්‍යාඃ කථිපයා භක්තා යෝෂිතශ්ච කුප්‍රවෘත්තිං ග්‍රාහයිත්වා පෞලබර්ණබ්බෞ තාඩයිත්වා තස්මාත් ප්‍රදේශාද් දූරීකෘතවන්තඃ|
And the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women, and the first men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and put them out from their borders;
51 අතඃ කාරණාත් තෞ නිජපදධූලීස්තේෂාං ප්‍රාතිකූල්‍යේන පාතයිත්වේකනියං නගරං ගතෞ|
and having shaken off the dust of their feet against them, they came to Iconium,
52 තතඃ ශිෂ්‍යගණ ආනන්දේන පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා ච පරිපූර්ණෝභවත්|
and the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
