2 තීමථියඃ 1
1 ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේන යීශුනා යා ජීවනස්‍ය ප්‍රතිඥා තාමධීශ්වරස්‍යේච්ඡයා යීශෝඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යෛකඃ ප්‍රේරිතඃ පෞලෝ(අ)හං ස්වකීයං ප්‍රියං ධර්ම්මපුත්‍රං තීමථියං ප්‍රති පත්‍රං ලිඛාමි|
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,
2 තාත ඊශ්වරෝ(අ)ස්මාකං ප්‍රභු ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටශ්ච ත්වයි ප්‍රසාදං දයාං ශාන්තිඤ්ච ක්‍රියාස්තාං|
to dear son Timothy: Grace, mercy, peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 අහම් ආ පූර්ව්වපුරුෂාත් යම් ඊශ්වරං පවිත්‍රමනසා සේවේ තං ධන්‍යං වදනං කථයාමි, අහම් අහෝරාත්‍රං ප්‍රාර්ථනාසමයේ ත්වාං නිරන්තරං ස්මරාමි|
I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience like my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers, night and day,
4 යශ්ච විශ්වාසඃ ප්‍රථමේ ලෝයීනාමිකායාං තව මාතාමහ්‍යාම් උනීකීනාමිකායාං මාතරි චාතිෂ්ඨත් තවාන්තරේ(අ)පි තිෂ්ඨතීති මන්‍යේ
longing to see you (recalling your tears), that I may be filled with joy;
5 තව තං නිෂ්කපටං විශ්වාසං මනසි කුර්ව්වන් තවාශ්‍රුපාතං ස්මරන් යථානන්දේන ප්‍රඵල්ලෝ භවේයං තදර්ථං තව දර්ශනම් ආකාඞ්ක්‍ෂේ|
while I call to mind the unfeigned faith that is in you—it resided first in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, in you also.
6 අතෝ හේතෝ ර්මම හස්තාර්පණේන ලබ්ධෝ ය ඊශ්වරස්‍ය වරස්ත්වයි විද්‍යතේ තම් උජ්ජ්වාලයිතුං ත්වාං ස්මාරයාමි|
For this reason I am reminding you to rekindle the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7 යත ඊශ්වරෝ(අ)ස්මභ්‍යං භයජනකම් ආත්මානම් අදත්ත්වා ශක්තිප්‍රේමසතර්කතානාම් ආකරම් ආත්මානං දත්තවාන්|
Because God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but of power and of love and of self-control.
8 අතඒවාස්මාකං ප්‍රභුමධි තස්‍ය වන්දිදාසං මාමධි ච ප්‍රමාණං දාතුං න ත්‍රපස්ව කින්ත්වීශ්වරීයශක්ත්‍යා සුසංවාදස්‍ය කෘතේ දුඃඛස්‍ය සහභාගී භව|
So do not be ashamed to identify with our Lord or with me His prisoner, but join in suffering for the Gospel according to the power of God
9 සෝ(අ)ස්මාන් පරිත්‍රාණපාත්‍රාණි කෘතවාන් පවිත්‍රේණාහ්වානේනාහූතවාංශ්ච; අස්මත්කර්ම්මහේතුනේති නහි ස්වීයනිරූපාණස්‍ය ප්‍රසාදස්‍ය ච කෘතේ තත් කෘතවාන්| ස ප්‍රසාදඃ සෘෂ්ටේඃ පූර්ව්වකාලේ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේන යීශුනාස්මභ්‍යම් අදායි, (aiōnios g166)
—the One who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not because of our works but because of His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, (aiōnios g166)
10 කින්ත්වධුනාස්මාකං පරිත්‍රාතු ර‍්‍යීශෝඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යාගමනේන ප්‍රාකාශත| ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටෝ මෘත්‍යුං පරාජිතවාන් සුසංවාදේන ච ජීවනම් අමරතාඤ්ච ප්‍රකාශිතවාන්|
but has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who by means of the Gospel destroyed the death and brought life and immortality to light;
11 තස්‍ය ඝෝෂයිතා දූතශ්චාන්‍යජාතීයානාං ශික්‍ෂකශ්චාහං නියුක්තෝ(අ)ස්මි|
to this Gospel I was appointed as a proclaimer, an apostle and a teacher of nations.
12 තස්මාත් කාරණාත් මමායං ක්ලේශෝ භවති තේන මම ලජ්ජා න ජායතේ යතෝ(අ)හං යස්මින් විශ්වසිතවාන් තමවගතෝ(අ)ස්මි මහාදිනං යාවත් මමෝපනිධේ ර්ගෝපනස්‍ය ශක්තිස්තස්‍ය විද්‍යත ඉති නිශ්චිතං ජානාමි|
That is why I am suffering these things, yet I am not ashamed because I know in whom I have believed and am certain that He is able to guard my deposit until that Day.
13 හිතදායකානාං වාක්‍යානාම් ආදර්ශරූපේණ මත්තඃ ශ්‍රුතාඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේ යීශෞ විශ්වාසප්‍රේම්නෝඃ කථා ධාරය|
Hold fast the standard of sound teaching that you heard from me, through the faith and love in Christ Jesus.
14 අපරම් අස්මදන්තර්වාසිනා පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා තාමුත්තමාම් උපනිධිං ගෝපය|
Guard the good deposit by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
15 ආශියාදේශීයාඃ සර්ව්වේ මාං ත්‍යක්තවන්ත ඉති ත්වං ජානාසි තේෂාං මධ්‍යේ ඵූගිල්ලෝ හර්ම්මගිනිශ්ච විද්‍යේතේ|
This you know, that all those in Asia have been turned away from me, including Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 ප්‍රභුරනීෂිඵරස්‍ය පරිවාරාන් ප්‍රති කෘපාං විදධාතු යතඃ ස පුනඃ පුන ර්මාම් ආප්‍යායිතවාන්
May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chain;
17 මම ශෘඞ්ඛලේන න ත්‍රපිත්වා රෝමානගරේ උපස්ථිතිසමයේ යත්නේන මාං මෘගයිත්වා මමෝද්දේශං ප්‍රාප්තවාන්|
rather, when he arrived in Rome he searched diligently for me until he found me
18 අතෝ විචාරදිනේ ස යථා ප්‍රභෝඃ කෘපාභාජනං භවේත් තාදෘශං වරං ප්‍රභුස්තස්මෛ දේයාත්| ඉඵිෂනගරේ(අ)පි ස කති ප්‍රකාරෛ ර්මාම් උපකෘතවාන් තත් ත්වං සම්‍යග් වේත්සි|
(may the Lord grant to him to find mercy from the Lord in that Day); you also know very well in how many ways he served in Ephesus.
