ਤੀਤਃ 2

1 ਯਥਾਰ੍ਥਸ੍ਯੋਪਦੇਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਵਾਕ੍ਯਾਨਿ ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਕਥ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਾਂ

But speak thou the things that are fitting for the sound doctrine.

2 ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ਤਃ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨਲੋਕਾ ਯਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੁੱਧਾ ਧੀਰਾ ਵਿਨੀਤਾ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ੍ਨਿ ਸਹਿਸ਼਼੍ਣੁਤਾਯਾਞ੍ਚ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਥਾ ਭਵੇਯੁਸ੍ਤਦ੍ਵਤ੍

Aged men are to be sober, noble, serious minded, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.

3 ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨਯੋਸ਼਼ਿਤੋ(ਅ)ਪਿ ਯਥਾ ਧਰ੍ੰਮਯੋਗ੍ਯਮ੍ ਆਚਾਰੰ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਯੁਃ ਪਰਨਿਨ੍ਦਕਾ ਬਹੁਮਦ੍ਯਪਾਨਸ੍ਯ ਨਿਘ੍ਨਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਨ ਭਵੇਯੁਃ

Aged women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderous, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is good,

4 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸੁਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕਾਰਿਣ੍ਯਃ ਸਤ੍ਯ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਯਤ੍ ਨ ਨਿਨ੍ਦ੍ਯੇਤ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਯੁਵਤੀਃ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲਤਾਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਤਃ ਪਤਿਸ੍ਨੇਹਮ੍ ਅਪਤ੍ਯਸ੍ਨੇਹੰ

so that they may admonish the young women to be sensible, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5 ਵਿਨੀਤਿੰ ਸ਼ੁਚਿਤ੍ਵੰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਿਣੀਤ੍ਵੰ ਸੌਜਨ੍ਯੰ ਸ੍ਵਾਮਿਨਿਘ੍ਨਞ੍ਚਾਦਿਸ਼ੇਯੁਸ੍ਤਥਾ ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਕਥ੍ਯਤਾਂ|

to be serious-minded, pure, homemakers, good, submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

6 ਤਦ੍ਵਦ੍ ਯੂਨੋ(ਅ)ਪਿ ਵਿਨੀਤਯੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧਯ|

Likewise exhort the younger men to be sober-minded.

7 ਤ੍ਵਞ੍ਚ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਵਿਸ਼਼ਯੇ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮਣਾਂ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਨ੍ਤੰ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਯਾਞ੍ਚਾਵਿਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਤ੍ਵੰ ਧੀਰਤਾਂ ਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੰ

Concerning all things presenting thyself a pattern of good works in the doctrine: incorruption, dignity, incorruptibility,

8 ਨਿਰ੍ੱਦੋਸ਼਼ਞ੍ਚ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਯ ਤੇਨ ਵਿਪਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਪਵਾਦਸ੍ਯ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਛਿਦ੍ਰੰ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਤ੍ਰਪਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|

sound speech, irreproachable, so that the man of opposition may be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.

9 ਦਾਸਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਯਤ੍ ਸ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਭੂਨਾਂ ਨਿਘ੍ਨਾਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਵਿਸ਼਼ਯੇ ਤੁਸ਼਼੍ਟਿਜਨਕਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਭਵੇਯੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁੱਤਰੰ ਨ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਯੁਃ

Bondmen are to be obedient to their own masters, to be well-pleasing in all things, not speaking contrary,

10 ਕਿਮਪਿ ਨਾਪਹਰੇਯੁਃ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪੂਰ੍ਣਾਂ ਸੁਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸ੍ਤਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਯੇਯੁਰਿਤਿ ਤਾਨ੍ ਆਦਿਸ਼| ਯਤ ਏਵਮ੍ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੇਣਾਸ੍ਮਕੰ ਤ੍ਰਾਤੁਰੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਵਿਸ਼਼ਯੇ ਤੈ ਰ੍ਭੂਸ਼਼ਿਤਵ੍ਯਾ|

not pilfering, but demonstrating all good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

11 ਯਤੋ ਹੇਤੋਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾਣਾਜਨਕ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਨ੍ ਮਾਨਵਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਦਿਤਵਾਨ੍

For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,

12 ਸ ਚਾਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਇਦੰ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਯਦ੍ ਵਯਮ੍ ਅਧਰ੍ੰਮੰ ਸਾਂਸਾਰਿਕਾਭਿਲਾਸ਼਼ਾਂਸ਼੍ਚਾਨਙ੍ਗੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯ ਵਿਨੀਤਤ੍ਵੇਨ ਨ੍ਯਾਯੇਨੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਭਕ੍ਤ੍ਯਾ ਚੇਹਲੋਕੇ ਆਯੁ ਰ੍ਯਾਪਯਾਮਃ, (aiōn g165)

disciplining us, so that, having denied irreverence and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and piously in the present age. (aiōn g165)

13 ਪਰਮਸੁਖਸ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਾਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਤੋ (ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਹਤ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਤ੍ਰਾਣਕਰ੍ੱਤੁ ਰ੍ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ੍ਯੋਦਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਮਹੇ|

Awaiting the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

14 ਯਤਃ ਸ ਯਥਾਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਅਧਰ੍ੰਮਾਤ੍ ਮੋਚਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਨਿਜਾਧਿਕਾਰਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੰ ਸਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮਸੂਤ੍ਸੁਕਮ੍ ਏਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਵਰ੍ਗੰ ਪਾਵਯੇਤ੍ ਤਦਰ੍ਥਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਆਤ੍ਮਦਾਨੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍|

who gave himself for us, so that he might redeem us from all lawlessness, and purify to himself a special people, a zealot of good works.

15 ਏਤਾਨਿ ਭਾਸ਼਼ਸ੍ਵ ਪੂਰ੍ਣਸਾਮਰ੍ਥ੍ਯੇਨ ਚਾਦਿਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧਯ ਚ, ਕੋ(ਅ)ਪਿ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਨਾਵਮਨ੍ਯਤਾਂ|

These things speak and exhort and rebuke with every command. Let no man disregard thee.
