ਰੋਮਿਣਃ 12

1 ਹੇ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਰ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਪਯਾਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਵਿਨਯੇ ਯੂਯੰ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸ਼ਰੀਰੰ ਸਜੀਵੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੰ ਗ੍ਰਾਹ੍ਯੰ ਬਲਿਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਮੁੱਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਸਮੁਤ੍ਸ੍ਰੁʼਜਤ, ਏਸ਼਼ਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਯੋਗ੍ਯਾ|

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.

2 ਅਪਰੰ ਯੂਯੰ ਸਾਂਸਾਰਿਕਾ ਇਵ ਮਾਚਰਤ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵਭਾਵੰ ਪਰਾਵਰ੍ਤ੍ਯ ਨੂਤਨਾਚਾਰਿਣੋ ਭਵਤ, ਤਤ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਨਿਦੇਸ਼ਃ ਕੀਦ੍ਰੁʼਗ੍ ਉੱਤਮੋ ਗ੍ਰਹਣੀਯਃ ਸਮ੍ਪੂਰ੍ਣਸ਼੍ਚੇਤਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿਰਨੁਭਾਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ| (aiōn g165)

And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)

3 ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦਪਿ ਜਨੋ ਯੋਗ੍ਯਤ੍ਵਾਦਧਿਕੰ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਨ ਮਨ੍ਯਤਾਂ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੋ ਯਸ੍ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਯਸ੍ਯ ਯਤ੍ਪਰਿਮਾਣਮ੍ ਅਦਦਾਤ੍ ਸ ਤਦਨੁਸਾਰਤੋ ਯੋਗ੍ਯਰੂਪੰ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਮਨੁਤਾਮ੍, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਾਦ੍ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਃ ਸਨ੍ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਏਕੈਕੰ ਜਨਮ੍ ਇਤ੍ਯਾਜ੍ਞਾਪਯਾਮਿ|

For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.

4 ਯਤੋ ਯਦ੍ਵਦਸ੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਏਕਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਸ਼ਰੀਰੇ ਬਹੂਨ੍ਯਙ੍ਗਾਨਿ ਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਮਙ੍ਗਾਨਾਂ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯੰ ਸਮਾਨੰ ਨਹਿ;

For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office:

5 ਤਦ੍ਵਦਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਬਹੁਤ੍ਵੇ(ਅ)ਪਿ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਵਯੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੇ ਏਕਸ਼ਰੀਰਾਃ ਪਰਸ੍ਪਰਮ੍ ਅਙ੍ਗਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਙ੍ਗਤ੍ਵੇਨ ਭਵਾਮਃ|

so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another.

6 ਅਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੇਣ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ੰ ਦਾਨਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਤ੍ਸੁ ਕੋਪਿ ਯਦਿ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਯਸ੍ਯ ਪਰਿਮਾਣਾਨੁਸਾਰਤਃ ਸ ਤਦ੍ ਵਦਤੁ;

And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of our faith;

7 ਯਦ੍ਵਾ ਯਦਿ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਸੇਵਨਕਾਰੀ ਭਵਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਸ ਤਤ੍ਸੇਵਨੰ ਕਰੋਤੁ; ਅਥਵਾ ਯਦਿ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਅਧ੍ਯਾਪਯਿਤਾ ਭਵਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਸੋ(ਅ)ਧ੍ਯਾਪਯਤੁ;

or ministry, [let us give ourselves] to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching;

8 ਤਥਾ ਯ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼਼੍ਟਾ ਭਵਤਿ ਸ ਉਪਦਿਸ਼ਤੁ ਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਦਾਤਾ ਸ ਸਰਲਤਯਾ ਦਦਾਤੁ ਯਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਧਿਪਤਿਃ ਸ ਯਤ੍ਨੇਨਾਧਿਪਤਿਤ੍ਵੰ ਕਰੋਤੁ ਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਦਯਾਲੁਃ ਸ ਹ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਮਨਸਾ ਦਯਤਾਮ੍|

or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, [let him do it] with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਾਪਟ੍ਯਵਰ੍ਜਿਤੰ ਭਵਤੁ ਯਦ੍ ਅਭਦ੍ਰੰ ਤਦ੍ ਰੁʼਤੀਯਧ੍ਵੰ ਯੱਚ ਭਦ੍ਰੰ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਅਨੁਰਜ੍ਯਧ੍ਵਮ੍|

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 ਅਪਰੰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰੇਮ੍ਨਾ ਪਰਸ੍ਪਰੰ ਪ੍ਰੀਯਧ੍ਵੰ ਸਮਾਦਰਾਦ੍ ਏਕੋ(ਅ)ਪਰਜਨੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼਼੍ਠੰ ਜਾਨੀਧ੍ਵਮ੍|

In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honour preferring one another;

11 ਤਥਾ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯੇ ਨਿਰਾਲਸ੍ਯਾ ਮਨਸਿ ਚ ਸੋਦ੍ਯੋਗਾਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਃ ਪ੍ਰਭੁੰ ਸੇਵਧ੍ਵਮ੍|

in diligence not slothful; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

12 ਅਪਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਾਯਾਮ੍ ਆਨਨ੍ਦਿਤਾ ਦੁਃਖਸਮਯੇ ਚ ਧੈਰ੍ੱਯਯੁਕ੍ਤਾ ਭਵਤ; ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਯਾਂ ਸਤਤੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਰ੍ੱਤਧ੍ਵੰ|

rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;

13 ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੀਨਤਾਂ ਦੂਰੀਕੁਰੁਧ੍ਵਮ੍ ਅਤਿਥਿਸੇਵਾਯਾਮ੍ ਅਨੁਰਜ੍ਯਧ੍ਵਮ੍|

communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.

14 ਯੇ ਜਨਾ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਤਾਡਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਾਨ੍ ਆਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼ੰ ਵਦਤ ਸ਼ਾਪਮ੍ ਅਦੱਤ੍ਵਾ ਦੱਧ੍ਵਮਾਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼ਮ੍|

Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.

15 ਯੇ ਜਨਾ ਆਨਨ੍ਦਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੈਃ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧਮ੍ ਆਨਨ੍ਦਤ ਯੇ ਚ ਰੁਦਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੈਃ ਸਹ ਰੁਦਿਤ|

Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.

16 ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਨਸਾਂ ਪਰਸ੍ਪਰਮ੍ ਏਕੋਭਾਵੋ ਭਵਤੁ; ਅਪਰਮ੍ ਉੱਚਪਦਮ੍ ਅਨਾਕਾਙ੍ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯ ਨੀਚਲੋਕੈਃ ਸਹਾਪਿ ਮਾਰ੍ਦਵਮ੍ ਆਚਰਤ; ਸ੍ਵਾਨ੍ ਜ੍ਞਾਨਿਨੋ ਨ ਮਨ੍ਯਧ੍ਵੰ|

Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 ਪਰਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਅਪਕਾਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਾਪਿ ਪਰੰ ਨਾਪਕੁਰੁਤ| ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਿਤੋ ਯਤ੍ ਕਰ੍ੰਮੋੱਤਮੰ ਤਦੇਵ ਕੁਰੁਤ|

Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honourable in the sight of all men.

18 ਯਦਿ ਭਵਿਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਯਤੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਯਥਾਸ਼ਕ੍ਤਿ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਲੋਕੈਃ ਸਹ ਨਿਰ੍ੱਵਿਰੋਧੇਨ ਕਾਲੰ ਯਾਪਯਤ|

If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men.

19 ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਯਬਨ੍ਧਵਃ, ਕਸ੍ਮੈਚਿਦ੍ ਅਪਕਾਰਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੁਚਿਤੰ ਦਣ੍ਡੰ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਨ ਦੱਧ੍ਵੰ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵੀਸ਼੍ਵਰੀਯਕ੍ਰੋਧਾਯ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਦੱਤ ਯਤੋ ਲਿਖਿਤਮਾਸ੍ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਃ ਕਥਯਤਿ, ਦਾਨੰ ਫਲਸ੍ਯ ਮਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮ ਸੂਚਿਤੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਦਾਮ੍ਯਹੰ|

Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord.

20 ਇਤਿਕਾਰਣਾਦ੍ ਰਿਪੁ ਰ੍ਯਦਿ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਧਾਰ੍ੱਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੋਜਯ| ਤਥਾ ਯਦਿ ਤ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ਾਰ੍ੱਤਃ ਸ੍ਯਾਤ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਪਰਿਪਾਯਯ| ਤੇਨ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਮਸ੍ਤਕੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਜ੍ਵਲਦਗ੍ਨਿੰ ਨਿਧਾਸ੍ਯਸਿ|

But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.

21 ਕੁਕ੍ਰਿਯਯਾ ਪਰਾਜਿਤਾ ਨ ਸਨ੍ਤ ਉੱਤਮਕ੍ਰਿਯਯਾ ਕੁਕ੍ਰਿਯਾਂ ਪਰਾਜਯਤ|

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
