ਮਥਿਃ 21
1 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮ੍ਨਗਰਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪਵੇਰ੍ੱਤਿਨੋ ਜੈਤੁਨਨਾਮਕਧਰਾਧਰਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪਸ੍ਥ੍ਤਿੰ ਬੈਤ੍ਫਗਿਗ੍ਰਾਮਮ੍ ਆਗਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ, ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਯੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਨ੍ ਜਗਾਦ,
And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, unto the mount of the Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2 ਯੁਵਾਂ ਸੰਮੁਖਸ੍ਥਗ੍ਰਾਮੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਬੱਧਾਂ ਯਾਂ ਸਵਤ੍ਸਾਂ ਗਰ੍ੱਦਭੀਂ ਹਠਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਥਃ, ਤਾਂ ਮੋਚਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਮਦਨ੍ਤਿਕਮ੍ ਆਨਯਤੰ|
saying to them, 'Go on to the village over-against you, and immediately ye shall find an ass bound, and a colt with her — having loosed, bring ye to me;
3 ਤਤ੍ਰ ਯਦਿ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਵਦਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਥਃ, ਏਤਸ੍ਯਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੋਃ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਜਨਮਾਸ੍ਤੇ, ਤੇਨ ਸ ਤਤ੍ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਣਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਹੇਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
and if any one may say anything to you, ye shall say, that the lord hath need of them, and immediately he will send them.'
4 ਸੀਯੋਨਃ ਕਨ੍ਯਕਾਂ ਯੂਯੰ ਭਾਸ਼਼ਧ੍ਵਮਿਤਿ ਭਾਰਤੀਂ| ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਤੇ ਨਮ੍ਰਸ਼ੀਲਃ ਸਨ੍ ਨ੍ਰੁʼਪ ਆਰੁਹ੍ਯ ਗਰ੍ਦਭੀਂ| ਅਰ੍ਥਾਦਾਰੁਹ੍ਯ ਤਦ੍ਵਤ੍ਸਮਾਯਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ ਤ੍ਵਦਨ੍ਤਿਕੰ|
And all this came to pass, that it might be fulfilled that was spoken through the prophet, saying,
5 ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦਿਨੋਕ੍ਤੰ ਵਚਨਮਿਦੰ ਤਦਾ ਸਫਲਮਭੂਤ੍|
'Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Lo, thy king doth come to thee, meek, and mounted on an ass, and a colt, a foal of a beast of burden.'
6 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਤੌ ਸ਼੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਿ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਰ੍ਯਥਾਨਿਦੇਸ਼ੰ ਤੰ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ
And the disciples having gone and having done as Jesus commanded them,
7 ਗਰ੍ਦਭੀਂ ਤਦ੍ਵਤ੍ਸਞ੍ਚ ਸਮਾਨੀਤਵਨ੍ਤੌ, ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਤਦੁਪਰਿ ਸ੍ਵੀਯਵਸਨਾਨੀ ਪਾਤਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਮਾਰੋਹਯਾਮਾਸਤੁਃ|
brought the ass and the colt, and did put on them their garments, and set [him] upon them;
8 ਤਤੋ ਬਹਵੋ ਲੋਕਾ ਨਿਜਵਸਨਾਨਿ ਪਥਿ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਯਿਤੁਮਾਰੇਭਿਰੇ, ਕਤਿਪਯਾ ਜਨਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਪਾਦਪਪਰ੍ਣਾਦਿਕੰ ਛਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਪਥਿ ਵਿਸ੍ਤਾਰਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ|
and the very great multitude spread their own garments in the way, and others were cutting branches from the trees, and were strewing in the way,
9 ਅਗ੍ਰਗਾਮਿਨਃ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ਗਾਮਿਨਸ਼੍ਚ ਮਨੁਜਾ ਉੱਚੈਰ੍ਜਯ ਜਯ ਦਾਯੂਦਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਾਨੇਤਿ ਜਗਦੁਃ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਨਾਮ੍ਨਾ ਯ ਆਯਾਤਿ ਸ ਧਨ੍ਯਃ, ਸਰ੍ੱਵੋਪਰਿਸ੍ਥਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੇਪਿ ਜਯਤਿ|
and the multitudes who were going before, and who were following, were crying, saying, 'Hosanna to the Son of David, blessed is he who is coming in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.'
10 ਇੱਥੰ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਟੇ ਕੋ(ਅ)ਯਮਿਤਿ ਕਥਨਾਤ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਸ੍ਨੰ ਨਗਰੰ ਚਞ੍ਚਲਮਭਵਤ੍|
And he having entered into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, 'Who is this?'
11 ਤਤ੍ਰ ਲੋਕੋਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ, ਏਸ਼਼ ਗਾਲੀਲ੍ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ੀਯ-ਨਾਸਰਤੀਯ-ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦੀ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ|
And the multitudes said, 'This is Jesus the prophet, who [is] from Nazareth of Galilee.'
12 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਰੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਮਨ੍ਦਿਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਤਨ੍ਮਧ੍ਯਾਤ੍ ਕ੍ਰਯਵਿਕ੍ਰਯਿਣੋ ਵਹਿਸ਼੍ਚਕਾਰ; ਵਣਿਜਾਂ ਮੁਦ੍ਰਾਸਨਾਨੀ ਕਪੋਤਵਿਕ੍ਰਯਿਣਾਞ੍ਚਸਨਾਨੀ ਚ ਨ੍ਯੁਵ੍ਜਯਾਮਾਸ|
And Jesus entered into the temple of God, and did cast forth all those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money-changers he overturned, and the seats of those selling the doves,
13 ਅਪਰੰ ਤਾਨੁਵਾਚ, ਏਸ਼਼ਾ ਲਿਪਿਰਾਸ੍ਤੇ, "ਮਮ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਮਿਤਿ ਵਿਖ੍ਯਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ", ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੂਯੰ ਤਦ੍ ਦਸ੍ਯੂਨਾਂ ਗਹ੍ਵਰੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
and he saith to them, 'It hath been written, My house a house of prayer shall be called, but ye did make it a den of robbers.'
14 ਤਦਨਨ੍ਤਰਮ੍ ਅਨ੍ਧਖਞ੍ਚਲੋਕਾਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪਮਾਗਤਾਃ, ਸ ਤਾਨ੍ ਨਿਰਾਮਯਾਨ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍|
And there came to him blind and lame men in the temple, and he healed them,
15 ਯਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਯਾਜਕਾ ਅਧ੍ਯਾਪਕਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਤੇਨ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਾਨ੍ਯੇਤਾਨਿ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਿ ਦਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ੁਃ, ਜਯ ਜਯ ਦਾਯੂਦਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਾਨ, ਮਨ੍ਦਿਰੇ ਬਾਲਕਾਨਾਮ੍ ਏਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ਮ੍ ਉੱਚਧ੍ਵਨਿੰ ਸ਼ੁਸ਼੍ਰੁਵੁਸ਼੍ਚ, ਤਦਾ ਮਹਾਕ੍ਰੁੱਧਾ ਬਭੂਵਃ,
and the chief priests and the scribes having seen the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, 'Hosanna to the Son of David,' were much displeased;
16 ਤੰ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛੁਸ਼੍ਚ, ਇਮੇ ਯਦ੍ ਵਦਨ੍ਤਿ, ਤਤ੍ ਕਿੰ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਣੋਸ਼਼ਿ? ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤਾਨ੍ ਅਵੋਚਤ੍, ਸਤ੍ਯਮ੍; ਸ੍ਤਨ੍ਯਪਾਯਿਸ਼ਿਸ਼ੂਨਾਞ੍ਚ ਬਾਲਕਾਨਾਞ੍ਚ ਵਕ੍ਤ੍ਰਤਃ| ਸ੍ਵਕੀਯੰ ਮਹਿਮਾਨੰ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸੰਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਯਸਿ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ| ਏਤਦ੍ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਯੂਯੰ ਕਿੰ ਨਾਪਠਤ?
and they said to him, 'Hearest thou what these say?' And Jesus saith to them, 'Yes, did ye never read, that, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou didst prepare praise?'
17 ਤਤਸ੍ਤਾਨ੍ ਵਿਹਾਯ ਸ ਨਗਰਾਦ੍ ਬੈਥਨਿਯਾਗ੍ਰਾਮੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਰਜਨੀਂ ਯਾਪਯਾਮਾਸ|
And having left them, he went forth out of the city to Bethany, and did lodge there,
18 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਨਗਰਮਾਗੱਛਨ੍ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਧਾਰ੍ੱਤੋ ਬਭੂਵ|
and in the morning turning back to the city, he hungered,
19 ਤਤੋ ਮਾਰ੍ਗਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵ ਉਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਵ੍ਰੁʼਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਮੇਕੰ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਤਤ੍ਸਮੀਪੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਪਤ੍ਰਾਣਿ ਵਿਨਾ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਤੰ ਪਾਦਪੰ ਪ੍ਰੋਵਾਚ, ਅਦ੍ਯਾਰਭ੍ਯ ਕਦਾਪਿ ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਫਲੰ ਨ ਭਵਤੁ; ਤੇਨ ਤਤ੍ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਣਾਤ੍ ਸ ਉਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਮਾਹੀਰੁਹਃ ਸ਼ੁਸ਼਼੍ਕਤਾਂ ਗਤਃ| (aiōn g165)
and having seen a certain fig-tree on the way, he came to it, and found nothing in it except leaves only, and he saith to it, 'No more from thee may fruit be — to the age;' and forthwith the fig-tree withered. (aiōn g165)
20 ਤਦ੍ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾ ਆਸ਼੍ਚਰ੍ੱਯੰ ਵਿਜ੍ਞਾਯ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ, ਆਃ, ਉਡੁਮ੍ਵਰਪਾਦਪੋ(ਅ)ਤਿਤੂਰ੍ਣੰ ਸ਼ੁਸ਼਼੍ਕੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਤ੍|
And the disciples having seen, did wonder, saying, 'How did the fig-tree forthwith wither?'
21 ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤਾਨੁਵਾਚ, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨਹੰ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਯਦਿ ਯੂਯਮਸਨ੍ਦਿਗ੍ਧਾਃ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਥ, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਯੂਯਮਪਿ ਕੇਵਲੋਡੁਮ੍ਵਰਪਾਦਪੰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀੱਥੰ ਕਰ੍ੱਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ, ਤੰਨ, ਤ੍ਵੰ ਚਲਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਾਗਰੇ ਪਤੇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿਰਸ੍ਮਿਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਕ੍ਤੇਪਿ ਤਦੈਵ ਤਦ੍ ਘਟਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
And Jesus answering said to them, 'Verily I say to you, If ye may have faith, and may not doubt, not only this of the fig-tree shall ye do, but even if to this mount ye may say, Be lifted up and be cast into the sea, it shall come to pass;
22 ਤਥਾ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥ੍ਯ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਯਦ੍ ਯਾਚਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ, ਤਦੇਵ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਤੇ|
and all — as much as ye may ask in the prayer, believing, ye shall receive.'
23 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਮਨ੍ਦਿਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼੍ਯੋਪਦੇਸ਼ਨਸਮਯੇ ਤਤ੍ਸਮੀਪੰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਯਾਜਕਾਃ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨਲੋਕਾਸ਼੍ਚਾਗਤ੍ਯ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛੁਃ, ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਕੇਨ ਸਾਮਰ੍ਥ੍ਯਨੈਤਾਨਿ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਨ੍ਤੇ? ਕੇਨ ਵਾ ਤੁਭ੍ਯਮੇਤਾਨਿ ਸਾਮਰ੍ਥ੍ਯਾਨਿ ਦੱਤਾਨਿ?
And he having come to the temple, there came to him when teaching the chief priests and the elders of the people, saying, 'By what authority dost thou do these things? and who gave thee this authority?'
24 ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਵਦਤ੍, ਅਹਮਪਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਵਾਚਮੇਕਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਾਮਿ, ਯਦਿ ਯੂਯੰ ਤਦੁੱਤਰੰ ਦਾਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ, ਤਦਾ ਕੇਨ ਸਾਮਰ੍ਥ੍ਯੇਨ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣ੍ਯੇਤਾਨਿ ਕਰੋਮਿ, ਤਦਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ|
And Jesus answering said to them, 'I will ask you — I also — one word, which if ye may tell me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things;
25 ਯੋਹਨੋ ਮੱਜਨੰ ਕਸ੍ਯਾਜ੍ਞਯਾਭਵਤ੍? ਕਿਮੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਸ੍ਯ ਵਾ? ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਪਰਸ੍ਪਰੰ ਵਿਵਿਚ੍ਯ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ, ਯਦੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯੇਤਿ ਵਦਾਮਸ੍ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਯੂਯੰ ਤੰ ਕੁਤੋ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੈਤ? ਵਾਚਮੇਤਾਂ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
the baptism of John, whence was it? — from heaven, or from men?' And they were reasoning with themselves, saying, 'If we should say, From heaven; he will say to us, Wherefore, then, did ye not believe him?
26 ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਸ੍ਯੇਤਿ ਵਕ੍ਤੁਮਪਿ ਲੋਕੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਬਿਭੀਮਃ, ਯਤਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੈਰਪਿ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦੀਤਿ ਜ੍ਞਾਯਤੇ|
and if we should say, From men, we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.'
27 ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਤੇ ਯੀਸ਼ੁੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਵਦਨ੍, ਤਦ੍ ਵਯੰ ਨ ਵਿਦ੍ਮਃ| ਤਦਾ ਸ ਤਾਨੁਕ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਕੇਨ ਸਾਮਰਥ੍ਯੇਨ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣ੍ਯੇਤਾਨ੍ਯਹੰ ਕਰੋਮਿ, ਤਦਪ੍ਯਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਨ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਿ|
And answering Jesus they said, 'We have not known.' He said to them — he also — 'Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
28 ਕਸ੍ਯਚਿੱਜਨਸ੍ਯ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਸੁਤਾਵਾਸ੍ਤਾਂ ਸ ਏਕਸ੍ਯ ਸੁਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਜਗਾਦ, ਹੇ ਸੁਤ, ਤ੍ਵਮਦ੍ਯ ਮਮ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਕਰ੍ੰਮ ਕਰ੍ਤੁੰ ਵ੍ਰਜ|
'And what think ye? A man had two children, and having come to the first, he said, Child, go, to-day be working in my vineyard.'
29 ਤਤਃ ਸ ਉਕ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍, ਨ ਯਾਸ੍ਯਾਮਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ੇ(ਅ)ਨੁਤਪ੍ਯ ਜਗਾਮ|
And he answering said, 'I will not,' but at last, having repented, he went.
30 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਸੋਨ੍ਯਸੁਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਥੈਵ ਕਥ੍ਤਿਵਾਨ੍; ਤਤਃ ਸ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ, ਮਹੇੱਛ ਯਾਮਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਨ ਗਤਃ|
'And having come to the second, he said in the same manner, and he answering said, I [go], sir, and went not;
31 ਏਤਯੋਃ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਯੋ ਰ੍ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਪਿਤੁਰਭਿਮਤੰ ਕੇਨ ਪਾਲਿਤੰ? ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਕਿੰ ਬੁਧ੍ਯਤੇ? ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੂਚੁਃ, ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇਨ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੇਣ| ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤਾਨੁਵਾਚ, ਅਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਤਥ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਚਣ੍ਡਾਲਾ ਗਣਿਕਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮਗ੍ਰਤ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜ੍ਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼ਨ੍ਤਿ|
which of the two did the will of the father?' They say to him, 'The first.' Jesus saith to them, 'Verily I say to you, that the tax-gatherers and the harlots do go before you into the reign of God,
32 ਯਤੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਯੋਹਨਿ ਧਰ੍ੰਮਪਥੇਨਾਗਤੇ ਯੂਯੰ ਤੰ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਥ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਚਣ੍ਡਾਲਾ ਗਣਿਕਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਤੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਾਯਨ੍, ਤਦ੍ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯਾਪਿ ਯੂਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੇਤੁੰ ਨਾਖਿਦ੍ਯਧ੍ਵੰ|
for John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye did not believe him, and the tax-gatherers and the harlots did believe him, and ye, having seen, repented not at last — to believe him.
33 ਅਪਰਮੇਕੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਨ੍ਤੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਣੁਤ, ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਸ੍ਥਃ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਲਤਾ ਰੋਪਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਤੱਚਤੁਰ੍ਦਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁ ਵਾਰਣੀਂ ਵਿਧਾਯ ਤਨ੍ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਯਨ੍ਤ੍ਰੰ ਸ੍ਥਾਪਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਮਾਞ੍ਚਞ੍ਚ ਨਿਰ੍ੰਮਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਤਤਃ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ਕੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਤਤ੍ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੰ ਸਮਰ੍ਪ੍ਯ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਦੂਰਦੇਸ਼ੰ ਜਗਾਮ|
'Hear ye another simile: There was a certain man, a householder, who planted a vineyard, and did put a hedge round it, and digged in it a wine-press, and built a tower, and gave it out to husbandmen, and went abroad.
34 ਤਦਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਫਲਸਮਯ ਉਪਸ੍ਥਿਤੇ ਸ ਫਲਾਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤੁੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ੀਵਲਾਨਾਂ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਨਿਜਦਾਸਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਮਾਸ|
'And when the season of the fruits came nigh, he sent his servants unto the husbandmen, to receive the fruits of it,
35 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ੀਵਲਾਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਯ ਤਾਨ੍ ਦਾਸੇਯਾਨ੍ ਧ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਕਞ੍ਚਨ ਪ੍ਰਹ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ, ਕਞ੍ਚਨ ਪਾਸ਼਼ਾਣੈਰਾਹਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ, ਕਞ੍ਚਨ ਚ ਹਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
and the husbandmen having taken his servants, one they scourged, and one they killed, and one they stoned.
36 ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਥਮਤੋ(ਅ)ਧਿਕਦਾਸੇਯਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਮਾਸ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤੇ ਤਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਪਿ ਤਥੈਵ ਚਕ੍ਰੁਃ|
'Again he sent other servants more than the first, and they did to them in the same manner.
37 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਮਮ ਸੁਤੇ ਗਤੇ ਤੰ ਸਮਾਦਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤੇ, ਇਤ੍ਯੁਕ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ੇ ਸ ਨਿਜਸੁਤੰ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਸੰਨਿਧਿੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਮਾਸ|
'And at last he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son;
38 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ੀਵਲਾਃ ਸੁਤੰ ਵੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯ ਪਰਸ੍ਪਰਮ੍ ਇਤਿ ਮਨ੍ਤ੍ਰਯਿਤੁਮ੍ ਆਰੇਭਿਰੇ, ਅਯਮੁੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵਯਮੇਨੰ ਨਿਹਤ੍ਯਾਸ੍ਯਾਧਿਕਾਰੰ ਸ੍ਵਵਸ਼ੀਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਃ|
and the husbandmen having seen the son, said among themselves, This is the heir, come, we may kill him, and may possess his inheritance;
39 ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਤੇ ਤੰ ਧ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਾਦ੍ ਬਹਿਃ ਪਾਤਯਿਤ੍ਵਾਬਧਿਸ਼਼ੁਃ|
and having taken him, they cast [him] out of the vineyard, and killed him;
40 ਯਦਾ ਸ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਪਤਿਰਾਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਤਦਾ ਤਾਨ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ੀਵਲਾਨ੍ ਕਿੰ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ?
whenever therefore the lord of the vineyard may come, what will he do to these husbandmen?'
41 ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਵਦਨ੍, ਤਾਨ੍ ਕਲੁਸ਼਼ਿਣੋ ਦਾਰੁਣਯਾਤਨਾਭਿਰਾਹਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਯੇ ਚ ਸਮਯਾਨੁਕ੍ਰਮਾਤ੍ ਫਲਾਨਿ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ੀਵਲੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੰ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
They say to him, 'Evil men — he will evilly destroy them, and the vineyard will give out to other husbandmen, who will give back to him the fruits in their seasons.'
42 ਤਦਾ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਨਾ ਤੇ ਗਦਿਤਾਃ, ਗ੍ਰਹਣੰ ਨ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੰ ਯਸ੍ਯ ਪਾਸ਼਼ਾਣਸ੍ਯ ਨਿਚਾਯਕੈਃ| ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਪ੍ਰਸ੍ਤਰਃ ਕੋਣੇ ਸਏਵ ਸੰਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ| ਏਤਤ੍ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਿਤੁਃ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਸ੍ਮਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਵਦ੍ਭੁਤੰ ਭਵੇਤ੍| ਧਰ੍ੰਮਗ੍ਰਨ੍ਥੇ ਲਿਖਿਤਮੇਤਦ੍ਵਚਨੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਕਿੰ ਨਾਪਾਠਿ?
Jesus saith to them, 'Did ye never read in the Writings, A stone that the builders disallowed, it became head of a corner; from the Lord hath this come to pass, and it is wonderful in our eyes.
43 ਤਸ੍ਮਾਦਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮੱਤ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੀਯਰਾਜ੍ਯਮਪਨੀਯ ਫਲੋਤ੍ਪਾਦਯਿਤ੍ਰਨ੍ਯਜਾਤਯੇ ਦਾਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
'Because of this I say to you, that the reign of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth its fruit;
44 ਯੋ ਜਨ ਏਤਤ੍ਪਾਸ਼਼ਾਣੋਪਰਿ ਪਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਤੰ ਸ ਭੰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਯੰ ਪਾਸ਼਼ਾਣੋ ਯਸ੍ਯੋਪਰਿ ਪਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਤੰ ਸ ਧੂਲਿਵਤ੍ ਚੂਰ੍ਣੀਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
and he who is falling on this stone shall be broken, and on whomsoever it may fall it will crush him to pieces.'
45 ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਧਨਯਾਜਕਾਃ ਫਿਰੂਸ਼ਿਨਸ਼੍ਚ ਤਸ੍ਯੇਮਾਂ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਨ੍ਤਕਥਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਸੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਨੁੱਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਇਤਿ ਵਿਜ੍ਞਾਯ ਤੰ ਧਰ੍ੱਤੁੰ ਚੇਸ਼਼੍ਟਿਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ;
And the chief priests and the Pharisees having heard his similes, knew that of them he speaketh,
46 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਲੋਕੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਬਿਭ੍ਯੁਃ, ਯਤੋ ਲੋਕੈਃ ਸ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦੀਤ੍ਯਜ੍ਞਾਯਿ|
and seeking to lay hold on him, they feared the multitudes, seeing they were holding him as a prophet.
