ਮਥਿਃ 20
1 ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗਰਾਜ੍ਯਮ੍ ਏਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ਾ ਕੇਨਚਿਦ੍ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਸ੍ਯੇਨ ਸਮੰ, ਯੋ(ਅ)ਤਿਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੇ ਨਿਜਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ਕਾਨ੍ ਨਿਯੋਕ੍ਤੁੰ ਗਤਵਾਨ੍|
"For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
2 ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਤੈਃ ਸਾਕੰ ਦਿਨੈਕਭ੍ਰੁʼਤਿੰ ਮੁਦ੍ਰਾਚਤੁਰ੍ਥਾਂਸ਼ੰ ਨਿਰੂਪ੍ਯ ਤਾਨ੍ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਯਾਮਾਸ|
When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਹਰੈਕਵੇਲਾਯਾਂ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਹੱਟੇ ਕਤਿਪਯਾਨ੍ ਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮਕਾਨ੍ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਤਾਨਵਦਤ੍,
He went out about nine in the morning, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.
4 ਯੂਯਮਪਿ ਮਮ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੰ ਯਾਤ, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਭ੍ਯਮਹੰ ਯੋਗ੍ਯਭ੍ਰੁʼਤਿੰ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਾਮਿ, ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਵਵ੍ਰਜੁਃ|
To them he said, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.' So they went their way.
5 ਪੁਨਸ਼੍ਚ ਸ ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯਤ੍ਰੁʼਤੀਯਯੋਃ ਪ੍ਰਹਰਯੋ ਰ੍ਬਹਿ ਰ੍ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਥੈਵ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍|
Again he went out about noon and at three in the afternoon, and did likewise.
6 ਤਤੋ ਦਣ੍ਡਦ੍ਵਯਾਵਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਯਾਂ ਵੇਲਾਯਾਂ ਬਹਿ ਰ੍ਗਤ੍ਵਾਪਰਾਨ੍ ਕਤਿਪਯਜਨਾਨ੍ ਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮਕਾਨ੍ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨ੍, ਯੂਯੰ ਕਿਮਰ੍ਥਮ੍ ਅਤ੍ਰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਦਿਨੰ ਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਸ੍ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਥ?
About five that afternoon he went out, and found others standing. He said to them, 'Why do you stand here all day idle?'
7 ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਵਦਨ੍, ਅਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਨ ਕੋਪਿ ਕਰ੍ਮਮਣਿ ਨਿਯੁੰਕ੍ਤੇ| ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਸ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਯੂਯਮਪਿ ਮਮ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੰ ਯਾਤ, ਤੇਨ ਯੋਗ੍ਯਾਂ ਭ੍ਰੁʼਤਿੰ ਲਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਥ|
"They said to him, 'Because no one has hired us.' "He said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard.'
8 ਤਦਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਸਨ੍ਧ੍ਯਾਯਾਂ ਸਤ੍ਯਾਂ ਸਏਵ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਪਤਿਰਧ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੰ ਗਦਿਵਾਨ੍, ਕ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼ਕਾਨ੍ ਆਹੂਯ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ਜਨਮਾਰਭ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੰ ਯਾਵਤ੍ ਤੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਭ੍ਰੁʼਤਿੰ ਦੇਹਿ|
When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his manager, 'Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.'
9 ਤੇਨ ਯੇ ਦਣ੍ਡਦ੍ਵਯਾਵਸ੍ਥਿਤੇ ਸਮਾਯਾਤਾਸ੍ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਮ੍ ਏਕੈਕੋ ਜਨੋ ਮੁਦ੍ਰਾਚਤੁਰ੍ਥਾਂਸ਼ੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਨੋਤ੍|
"When those who were hired at about five in the afternoon came, they each received a denarius.
10 ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਥਮਨਿਯੁਕ੍ਤਾ ਜਨਾ ਆਗਤ੍ਯਾਨੁਮਿਤਵਨ੍ਤੋ ਵਯਮਧਿਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਾਮਃ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤੈਰਪਿ ਮੁਦ੍ਰਾਚਤੁਰ੍ਥਾਂਸ਼ੋ(ਅ)ਲਾਭਿ|
When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius.
11 ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਤੰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੀਤ੍ਵਾ ਤੇਨ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਪਤਿਨਾ ਸਾਕੰ ਵਾਗ੍ਯੁੱਧੰ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ਤਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ,
When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household,
12 ਵਯੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਸ੍ਨੰ ਦਿਨੰ ਤਾਪਕ੍ਲੇਸ਼ੌ ਸੋਢਵਨ੍ਤਃ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤਾਯਾ ਸੇ ਜਨਾ ਦਣ੍ਡਦ੍ਵਯਮਾਤ੍ਰੰ ਪਰਿਸ਼੍ਰਾਨ੍ਤਵਨ੍ਤਸ੍ਤੇ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸਮਾਨਾਂਸ਼ਾਃ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਾਃ|
saying, 'These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.'
13 ਤਤਃ ਸ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਮੇਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ, ਹੇ ਵਤ੍ਸ, ਮਯਾ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕੋਪ੍ਯਨ੍ਯਾਯੋ ਨ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਃ ਕਿੰ ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਮਤ੍ਸਮਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੰ ਮੁਦ੍ਰਾਚਤੁਰ੍ਥਾਂਸ਼ੋ ਨਾਙ੍ਗੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਃ?
"But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?
14 ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਤਵ ਯਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯੰ ਤਦਾਦਾਯ ਯਾਹਿ, ਤੁਭ੍ਯੰ ਯਤਿ, ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤੀਯਨਿਯੁਕ੍ਤਲੋਕਾਯਾਪਿ ਤਤਿ ਦਾਤੁਮਿੱਛਾਮਿ|
Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.
15 ਸ੍ਵੇੱਛਯਾ ਨਿਜਦ੍ਰਵ੍ਯਵ੍ਯਵਹਰਣੰ ਕਿੰ ਮਯਾ ਨ ਕਰ੍ੱਤਵ੍ਯੰ? ਮਮ ਦਾਤ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਕਿਮ੍ ਈਰ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਿਃ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਤੇ?
Is it not lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?'
16 ਇੱਥਮ੍ ਅਗ੍ਰੀਯਲੋਕਾਃ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਤੀਯਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤੀਯਜਨਾਸ਼੍ਚਗ੍ਰੀਯਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਅਹੂਤਾ ਬਹਵਃ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਲ੍ਪੇ ਮਨੋਭਿਲਸ਼਼ਿਤਾਃ|
So the last will be first, and the first last; for many are called, but few are chosen."
17 ਤਦਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁ ਰ੍ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮ੍ਨਗਰੰ ਗੱਛਨ੍ ਮਾਰ੍ਗਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਏਕਾਨ੍ਤੇ ਵਭਾਸ਼਼ੇ,
As Yeshua was going up to Jerusalem, he took the Twelve aside, and on the way he said to them,
18 ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਵਯੰ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮ੍ਨਗਰੰ ਯਾਮਃ, ਤਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਯਾਜਕਾਧ੍ਯਾਪਕਾਨਾਂ ਕਰੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਪੁਤ੍ਰਃ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ;
"Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief cohanim and scribes, and they will condemn him to death,
19 ਤੇ ਚ ਤੰ ਹਨ੍ਤੁਮਾਜ੍ਞਾਪ੍ਯ ਤਿਰਸ੍ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯ ਵੇਤ੍ਰੇਣ ਪ੍ਰਹਰ੍ੱਤੁੰ ਕ੍ਰੁਸ਼ੇ ਧਾਤਯਿਤੁਞ੍ਚਾਨ੍ਯਦੇਸ਼ੀਯਾਨਾਂ ਕਰੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸ ਤ੍ਰੁʼਤੀਯਦਿਵਸੇ ਸ਼੍ਮਸ਼ਾਨਾਦ੍ ਉੱਥਾਪਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
and will hand him over to the non-Jews to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up."
20 ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਸਿਵਦੀਯਸ੍ਯ ਨਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਵਪੁਤ੍ਰਾਵਾਦਾਯ ਯੀਸ਼ੋਃ ਸਮੀਪਮ੍ ਏਤ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਣਮ੍ਯ ਕਞ੍ਚਨਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੰ ਤੰ ਯਯਾਚੇ|
Then the mother of the sons of Zavdai came to him with her sons, kneeling and asking a certain thing of him.
21 ਤਦਾ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਕ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍, ਤ੍ਵੰ ਕਿੰ ਯਾਚਸੇ? ਤਤਃ ਸਾ ਬਭਾਸ਼਼ੇ, ਭਵਤੋ ਰਾਜਤ੍ਵੇ ਮਮਾਨਯੋਃ ਸੁਤਯੋਰੇਕੰ ਭਵੱਦਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਣਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵੇ ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯੰ ਵਾਮਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵ ਉਪਵੇਸ਼਼੍ਟੁਮ੍ ਆਜ੍ਞਾਪਯਤੁ|
He said to her, "What do you want?" She said to him, "Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand, and one on your left hand, in your Kingdom."
22 ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ, ਯੁਵਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਯਦ੍ ਯਾਚ੍ਯਤੇ, ਤੰਨ ਬੁਧ੍ਯਤੇ, ਅਹੰ ਯੇਨ ਕੰਸੇਨ ਪਾਸ੍ਯਾਮਿ ਯੁਵਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਤੇਨ ਪਾਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਯਤੇ? ਅਹਞ੍ਚ ਯੇਨ ਮੱਜੇਨੇਨ ਮੱਜਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੇ, ਯੁਵਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਤੇਨ ਮੱਜਯਿਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਯਤੇ? ਤੇ ਜਗਦੁਃ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਯਤੇ|
But Yeshua answered and said, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?" They said to him, "We are able."
23 ਤਦਾ ਸ ਉਕ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍, ਯੁਵਾਂ ਮਮ ਕੰਸੇਨਾਵਸ਼੍ਯੰ ਪਾਸ੍ਯਥਃ, ਮਮ ਮੱਜਨੇਨ ਚ ਯੁਵਾਮਪਿ ਮੱਜਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੇਥੇ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਮੱਤਾਤੇਨ ਨਿਰੂਪਿਤਮ੍ ਇਦੰ ਤਾਨ੍ ਵਿਹਾਯਾਨ੍ਯੰ ਕਮਪਿ ਮੱਦਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਣਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵੇ ਵਾਮਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵੇ ਚ ਸਮੁਪਵੇਸ਼ਯਿਤੁੰ ਮਮਾਧਿਕਾਰੋ ਨਾਸ੍ਤਿ|
He said to them, "You will indeed drink my cup, but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father."
24 ਏਤਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾਨ੍ਯੇ ਦਸ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਸ੍ਤੌ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਰੌ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਚੁਕੁਪੁਃ|
When the ten heard it, they were indignant with the two brothers.
25 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ੍ਵਸਮੀਪੰ ਤਾਨਾਹੂਯ ਜਗਾਦ, ਅਨ੍ਯਦੇਸ਼ੀਯਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਨਰਪਤਯਸ੍ਤਾਨ੍ ਅਧਿਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ਤਿ, ਯੇ ਤੁ ਮਹਾਨ੍ਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਤਾਨ੍ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਿ, ਇਤਿ ਯੂਯੰ ਜਾਨੀਥ|
But Yeshua summoned them, and said, "You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
26 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਨ ਤਥਾ ਭਵੇਤ੍, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਯਃ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਮਹਾਨ੍ ਬੁਭੂਸ਼਼ਤਿ, ਸ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਸੇਵੇਤ;
It will not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you must be your servant.
27 ਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਮੁਖ੍ਯੋ ਬੁਭੂਸ਼਼ਤਿ, ਸ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਦਾਸੋ ਭਵੇਤ੍|
And whoever desires to be first among you must be your slave,
28 ਇੱਥੰ ਮਨੁਜਪੁਤ੍ਰਃ ਸੇਵ੍ਯੋ ਭਵਿਤੁੰ ਨਹਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸੇਵਿਤੁੰ ਬਹੂਨਾਂ ਪਰਿਤ੍ਰਾਣਮੂਲ੍ਯਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਸ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਦਾਤੁਞ੍ਚਾਗਤਃ|
even as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
29 ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਯਿਰੀਹੋਨਗਰਾਤ੍ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਬਹਿਰ੍ਗਮਨਸਮਯੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਬਹਵੋ ਲੋਕਾ ਵਵ੍ਰਜੁਃ|
As they went out from Jericho, a large crowd followed him.
30 ਅਪਰੰ ਵਰ੍ਤ੍ਮਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵ ਉਪਵਿਸ਼ਨ੍ਤੌ ਦ੍ਵਾਵਨ੍ਧੌ ਤੇਨ ਮਾਰ੍ਗੇਣ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਰ੍ਗਮਨੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਮ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰੋੱਚੈਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸਤੁਃ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਦਾਯੂਦਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਾਨ, ਆਵਯੋ ਰ੍ਦਯਾਂ ਵਿਧੇਹਿ|
And look, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Yeshua was passing by, shouted, "Have mercy on us, Lord, son of David."
31 ਤਤੋ ਲੋਕਾਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਤੁਸ਼਼੍ਣੀਮ੍ਭਵਤਮਿਤ੍ਯੁਕ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਤੌ ਤਰ੍ਜਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ; ਤਥਾਪਿ ਤੌ ਪੁਨਰੁੱਚੈਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸਤੁਃ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਦਾਯੂਦਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਾਨ, ਆਵਾਂ ਦਯਸ੍ਵ|
The crowd rebuked them, telling them that they should be quiet, but they shouted even more, "Have mercy on us, Lord, son of David."
32 ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ੍ਥਗਿਤਃ ਸਨ੍ ਤਾਵਾਹੂਯ ਭਾਸ਼਼ਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਯੁਵਯੋਃ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਮਯਾ ਕਿੰ ਕਰ੍ੱਤਰ੍ਵ੍ਯੰ? ਯੁਵਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਕਾਮਯੇਥੇ?
Yeshua stood still, and called them, and asked, "What do you want me to do for you?"
33 ਤਦਾ ਤਾਵੁਕ੍ਤਵਨ੍ਤੌ, ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਾਣਿ ਨੌ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਾਨਿ ਭਵੇਯੁਃ|
They told him, "Lord, that our eyes may be opened."
34 ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤੌ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਮੰਨਃ ਸਨ੍ ਤਯੋ ਰ੍ਨੇਤ੍ਰਾਣਿ ਪਸ੍ਪਰ੍ਸ਼, ਤੇਨੈਵ ਤੌ ਸੁਵੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਞ੍ਚਕ੍ਰਾਤੇ ਤਤ੍ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਜਗ੍ਮੁਤੁਸ਼੍ਚ|
Yeshua, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received their sight, and they followed him.
