ਲੂਕਃ 17
1 ਇਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਉਵਾਚ, ਵਿਘ੍ਨੈਰਵਸ਼੍ਯਮ੍ ਆਗਨ੍ਤਵ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਵਿਘ੍ਨਾ ਯੇਨ ਘਟਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਦੁਰ੍ਗਤਿ ਰ੍ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
And he said unto his disciples: —It is, impossible, that occasions of stumbling should not come, notwithstanding, alas! for him through whom they do come:
2 ਏਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਦ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਾਣਿਨਾਮ੍ ਏਕਸ੍ਯਾਪਿ ਵਿਘ੍ਨਜਨਨਾਤ੍ ਕਣ੍ਠਬੱਧਪੇਸ਼਼ਣੀਕਸ੍ਯ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਾਗਰਾਗਾਧਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਨੰ ਭਦ੍ਰੰ|
It profiteth him, if, a mill-stone, is hung about his neck, and he is cast into the sea, than that he cause, one, of these little ones, to stumble.
3 ਯੂਯੰ ਸ੍ਵੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਾਵਧਾਨਾਸ੍ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤ; ਤਵ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਯਦਿ ਤਵ ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਅਪਰਾਧ੍ਯਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਤਰ੍ਜਯ, ਤੇਨ ਯਦਿ ਮਨਃ ਪਰਿਵਰ੍ੱਤਯਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਮਸ੍ਵ|
Be taking heed to yourselves, —If thy brother sin, rebuke him, and, if he repent, forgive him;
4 ਪੁਨਰੇਕਦਿਨਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਯਦਿ ਸ ਤਵ ਸਪ੍ਤਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵੋ(ਅ)ਪਰਾਧ੍ਯਤਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸਪ੍ਤਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵ ਆਗਤ੍ਯ ਮਨਃ ਪਰਿਵਰ੍ਤ੍ਯ ਮਯਾਪਰਾੱਧਮ੍ ਇਤਿ ਵਦਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਮਸ੍ਵ|
Even if, seven times a day, he sin against thee, and, seven times, turn to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.
5 ਤਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤਾਃ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਮ੍ ਅਵਦਨ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੰ ਵਰ੍ੱਧਯ|
And the apostles said unto the Lord—Bestow on us faith!
6 ਪ੍ਰਭੁਰੁਵਾਚ, ਯਦਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਰ੍ਸ਼਼ਪੈਕਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੋ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੋਸ੍ਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸਮੂਲਮੁਤ੍ਪਾਟਿਤੋ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਮੁਦ੍ਰੇ ਰੋਪਿਤੋ ਭਵ ਕਥਾਯਾਮ੍ ਏਤਸ੍ਯਾਮ੍ ਏਤਦੁਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਾਯ ਕਥਿਤਾਯਾਂ ਸ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮਾਜ੍ਞਾਵਹੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
And the Lord said—If ye have faith like a grain of mustard-seed, ye should be saying unto [this] mulberry-tree—Be uprooted! and be planted in the sea, —and it should obey you.
7 ਅਪਰੰ ਸ੍ਵਦਾਸੇ ਹਲੰ ਵਾਹਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਵਾ ਪਸ਼ੂਨ੍ ਚਾਰਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਾਦ੍ ਆਗਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਤੰ ਵਦਤਿ, ਏਹਿ ਭੋਕ੍ਤੁਮੁਪਵਿਸ਼, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਏਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ਃ ਕੋਸ੍ਤਿ?
But, who from among you, having, a servant, plowing or keeping sheep, when he hath come in out of the field, will say to him—Straightway, come, and recline; —
8 ਵਰਞ੍ਚ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਮਮ ਖਾਦ੍ਯਮਾਸਾਦ੍ਯ ਯਾਵਦ੍ ਭੁਞ੍ਜੇ ਪਿਵਾਮਿ ਚ ਤਾਵਦ੍ ਬੱਧਕਟਿਃ ਪਰਿਚਰ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵਮਪਿ ਭੋਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਸੇ ਪਾਸ੍ਯਸਿ ਚ ਕਥਾਮੀਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ੀਂ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ?
on the contrary, will not say to him—Make somewhat ready, that I may dine, —and, girding thyself, be ministering unto me, until I have eaten and drunk; and, after these things, thou, shalt eat and drink?
9 ਤੇਨ ਦਾਸੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੋਰਾਜ੍ਞਾਨੁਰੂਪੇ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਣਿ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਃ ਕਿੰ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਬਾਧਿਤੋ ਜਾਤਃ? ਨੇੱਥੰ ਬੁਧ੍ਯਤੇ ਮਯਾ|
Doth he offer thanks unto the servant, because he hath done the things enjoined?
10 ਇੱਥੰ ਨਿਰੂਪਿਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਕਰ੍ੰਮਸੁ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਤ੍ਮੁ ਯੂਯਮਪੀਦੰ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਥ, ਵਯਮ੍ ਅਨੁਪਕਾਰਿਣੋ ਦਾਸਾ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਰ੍ਯਦ੍ਯਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੱਤਵ੍ਯੰ ਤਨ੍ਮਾਤ੍ਰਮੇਵ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੰ|
Thus, ye also, when ye have done all the things enjoined upon you, say—Unprofitable servants, are we, —What we were bound to do, we have done!
11 ਸ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮਿ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ ਸ਼ੋਮਿਰੋਣ੍ਗਾਲੀਲ੍ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ਮਧ੍ਯੇਨ ਗੱਛਤਿ,
And it came to pass, during the journey unto Jerusalem, that, he, was going through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 ਏਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਕੁਤ੍ਰਚਿਦ੍ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ਮਾਤ੍ਰੇ ਦਸ਼ਕੁਸ਼਼੍ਠਿਨਸ੍ਤੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ
And, as he was entering into a certain village, there met him ten leprous men, who stood still, afar off;
13 ਦੂਰੇ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨਤ ਉੱਚੈ ਰ੍ਵਕ੍ਤੁਮਾਰੇਭਿਰੇ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਦਯਸ੍ਵਾਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍|
and, they, lifted up a voice, saying—Jesus! Master! have mercy on us!
14 ਤਤਃ ਸ ਤਾਨ੍ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਜਗਾਦ, ਯੂਯੰ ਯਾਜਕਾਨਾਂ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ੍ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯਤ, ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੋ ਰੋਗਾਤ੍ ਪਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਾਃ|
And, beholding, he said unto them—Go your way, and show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, as they withdrew, they were cleansed.
15 ਤਦਾ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਮੇਕਃ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਥੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰੋੱਚੈਰੀਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਨ੍ ਵ੍ਯਾਘੁਟ੍ਯਾਯਾਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਰ੍ਗੁਣਾਨਨੁਵਦਨ੍ ਤੱਚਰਣਾਧੋਭੂਮੌ ਪਪਾਤ;
But, one from among them, beholding that he was healed, returned, with a loud voice, glorifying God, —
16 ਸ ਚਾਸੀਤ੍ ਸ਼ੋਮਿਰੋਣੀ|
and fell prostrate at his feet, giving him thanks; and, he, was a Samaritan.
17 ਤਦਾ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਰਵਦਤ੍, ਦਸ਼ਜਨਾਃ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਪਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਾਃ? ਤਹ੍ਯਨ੍ਯੇ ਨਵਜਨਾਃ ਕੁਤ੍ਰ?
And Jesus, answering, said—Were not, the ten, cleansed? [but, ] where, are, the nine?
18 ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਨ੍ਤਮ੍ ਏਨੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਿਨੰ ਵਿਨਾ ਕੋਪ੍ਯਨ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਤ|
Have none been found returning to give glory to God, save this one of another race?
19 ਤਦਾ ਸ ਤਮੁਵਾਚ, ਤ੍ਵਮੁੱਥਾਯ ਯਾਹਿ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਸ੍ਤੇ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਥੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍|
And he said unto him—Arise and go thy way: thy faith, hath saved thee.
20 ਅਥ ਕਦੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਤ੍ਵੰ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੀਤਿ ਫਿਰੂਸ਼ਿਭਿਃ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟੇ ਸ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ਐਸ਼੍ਵਰ੍ੱਯਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਨੇਨ ਨ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
And, being questioned by the Pharisees, When cometh the kingdom of God? he answered them and said—The kingdom of God cometh not with narrow watching;
21 ਅਤ ਏਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਵਾ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ, ਇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਲੋਕਾ ਵਕ੍ਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਤ੍ਵੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਨ੍ਤਰੇਵਾਸ੍ਤੇ|
Neither shall they say—Lo, here! or, There. For lo! the kingdom of God, is, among you.
22 ਤਤਃ ਸ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਜਗਾਦ, ਯਦਾ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਮਨੁਜਸੁਤਸ੍ਯ ਦਿਨਮੇਕੰ ਦ੍ਰਸ਼਼੍ਟੁਮ੍ ਵਾਞ੍ਛਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਨ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ, ਈਦ੍ਰੁʼੱਕਾਲ ਆਯਾਤਿ|
But he said unto the disciples—There will come days—when ye will long to see, one of the days of the Son of Man, and shall not see.
23 ਤਦਾਤ੍ਰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਵਾ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯੇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਲੋਕਾ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਮਾ ਯਾਤ, ਮਾਨੁਗੱਛਤ ਚ|
And they will say unto you, Lo there! or, Lo here! Do not [depart, and do not] pursue.
24 ਯਤਸ੍ਤਡਿਦ੍ ਯਥਾਕਾਸ਼ੈਕਦਿਸ਼੍ਯੁਦਿਯ ਤਦਨ੍ਯਾਮਪਿ ਦਿਸ਼ੰ ਵ੍ਯਾਪ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਤੇ ਤਦ੍ਵਤ੍ ਨਿਜਦਿਨੇ ਮਨੁਜਸੂਨੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
For, just as, the lightning, flashing out of the one part under heaven, unto the other part under heaven, shineth, so, shall be, the Son of Man.
25 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਤੇਨਾਨੇਕਾਨਿ ਦੁਃਖਾਨਿ ਭੋਕ੍ਤਵ੍ਯਾਨ੍ਯੇਤਦ੍ਵਰ੍ੱਤਮਾਨਲੋਕੈਸ਼੍ਚ ਸੋ(ਅ)ਵਜ੍ਞਾਤਵ੍ਯਃ|
But, first, he must needs suffer, many things, and be rejected by this generation.
26 ਨੋਹਸ੍ਯ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਮਾਨਕਾਲੇ ਯਥਾਭਵਤ੍ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਸੂਨੋਃ ਕਾਲੇਪਿ ਤਥਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so, will it be, even in the days of the Son of Man:
27 ਯਾਵਤ੍ਕਾਲੰ ਨੋਹੋ ਮਹਾਪੋਤੰ ਨਾਰੋਹਦ੍ ਆਪ੍ਲਾਵਿਵਾਰ੍ੱਯੇਤ੍ਯ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਨਾਨਾਸ਼ਯੱਚ ਤਾਵਤ੍ਕਾਲੰ ਯਥਾ ਲੋਕਾ ਅਭੁਞ੍ਜਤਾਪਿਵਨ੍ ਵ੍ਯਵਹਨ੍ ਵ੍ਯਵਾਹਯੰਸ਼੍ਚ;
They were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, —until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 ਇੱਥੰ ਲੋਟੋ ਵਰ੍ੱਤਮਾਨਕਾਲੇਪਿ ਯਥਾ ਲੋਕਾ ਭੋਜਨਪਾਨਕ੍ਰਯਵਿਕ੍ਰਯਰੋਪਣਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਨਿਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਕਰ੍ੰਮਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਵਰ੍ੱਤਨ੍ਤ,
In like manner, as it came to pass in the days of Lot, They were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building, —
29 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯਦਾ ਲੋਟ੍ ਸਿਦੋਮੋ ਨਿਰ੍ਜਗਾਮ ਤਦਾ ਨਭਸਃ ਸਗਨ੍ਧਕਾਗ੍ਨਿਵ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਿ ਰ੍ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਵ੍ਯਨਾਸ਼ਯਤ੍
But, on the day Lot came out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all: —
30 ਤਦ੍ਵਨ੍ ਮਾਨਵਪੁਤ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਦਿਨੇਪਿ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
According to the same things, will it be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
31 ਤਦਾ ਯਦਿ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੋਪਰਿ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਸ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਮਧ੍ਯਾਤ੍ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਦ੍ਰਵ੍ਯਮਾਨੇਤੁਮ੍ ਅਵਰੁਹ੍ਯ ਨੈਤੁ; ਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਸੋਪਿ ਵ੍ਯਾਘੁਟ੍ਯ ਨਾਯਾਤੁ|
In that day, he that shall be on the housetop, and his utensils in the house, let him not go down, to take them away! And, he that is in the field, in like manner, let him not turn unto the things behind,
32 ਲੋਟਃ ਪਤ੍ਨੀਂ ਸ੍ਮਰਤ|
Bear in mind the wife of Lot! Whosoever shall seek to make his life his own, shall lose it,
33 ਯਃ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਤੁੰ ਚੇਸ਼਼੍ਟਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਹਾਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਯਸ੍ਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਹਾਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਸਏਵ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
But, whosoever shall lose it, shall give it a living birth.
34 ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨਹੰ ਵਚ੍ਮਿ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਂ ਰਾਤ੍ਰੌ ਸ਼ੱਯੈਕਗਤਯੋ ਰ੍ਲੋਕਯੋਰੇਕੋ ਧਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਪਰਸ੍ਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
I say unto you—On the selfsame night, there shall be two men on [one] bed, —the one, shall be taken near, and, the other, left behind;
35 ਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਿਯੌ ਯੁਗਪਤ੍ ਪੇਸ਼਼ਣੀਂ ਵ੍ਯਾਵਰ੍ੱਤਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਸ੍ਤਯੋਰੇਕਾ ਧਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਪਰਾਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
There shall be two women grinding together, —the one, shall be taken near, and, the other, left behind.
36 ਪੁਰੁਸ਼਼ੌ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਤਸ੍ਤਯੋਰੇਕੋ ਧਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਪਰਸ੍ਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
37 ਤਦਾ ਤੇ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛੁਃ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਕੁਤ੍ਰੇੱਥੰ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ? ਤਤਃ ਸ ਉਵਾਚ, ਯਤ੍ਰ ਸ਼ਵਸ੍ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਧ੍ਰਾ ਮਿਲਨ੍ਤਿ|
And, answering, they say unto him—Where, Lord? And, he, said unto them—Where the body is, there, the vultures also, will be gathered together.
