ਯੋਹਨਃ 1
1 ਆਦੌ ਵਾਦ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਸ ਚ ਵਾਦ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੇਣ ਸਾਰ੍ਧਮਾਸੀਤ੍ ਸ ਵਾਦਃ ਸ੍ਵਯਮੀਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਏਵ|
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 ਸ ਆਦਾਵੀਸ਼੍ਵਰੇਣ ਸਹਾਸੀਤ੍|
This man was in the beginning with God.
3 ਤੇਨ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਵਸ੍ਤੁ ਸਸ੍ਰੁʼਜੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਸ੍ਤੁਸ਼਼ੁ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਵਸ੍ਤੁ ਤੇਨਾਸ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟੰ ਨਾਸ੍ਤਿ|
All things came to be through him, and apart from him not even one thing came to be that has come to be.
4 ਸ ਜੀਵਨਸ੍ਯਾਕਾਰਃ, ਤੱਚ ਜੀਵਨੰ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਣਾਂ ਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਃ
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਰਨ੍ਧਕਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਕਾਸ਼ੇ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਨ੍ਧਕਾਰਸ੍ਤੰਨ ਜਗ੍ਰਾਹ|
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
6 ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਨਾਮਕ ਏਕੋ ਮਨੁਜ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੇਣ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਞ੍ਚਕ੍ਰੇ|
A man came to be who was sent from God, his name was John.
7 ਤਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਯਥਾ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਸ ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਸ਼਼ਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਾਤੁੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੋ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾਗਮਤ੍,
This man came for testimony so that he might testify about the light, so that all might believe through him.
8 ਸ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿ ਰ੍ਨ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਸ਼਼ਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਾਤੁਮਾਗਮਤ੍|
That man was not the light, but that he might testify about the light.
9 ਜਗਤ੍ਯਾਗਤ੍ਯ ਯਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਮਨੁਜੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਦੀਪ੍ਤਿੰ ਦਦਾਤਿ ਤਦੇਵ ਸਤ੍ਯਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਃ|
He was the true light coming into the world that enlightens every man.
10 ਸ ਯੱਜਗਦਸ੍ਰੁʼਜਤ੍ ਤਨ੍ਮਦ੍ਯ ਏਵ ਸ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਜਗਤੋ ਲੋਕਾਸ੍ਤੰ ਨਾਜਾਨਨ੍|
He was in the world, and the world came to be through him, and the world knew him not.
11 ਨਿਜਾਧਿਕਾਰੰ ਸ ਆਗੱਛਤ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਸ੍ਤੰ ਨਾਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਨ੍|
He came to his own, and his own did not accept him.
12 ਤਥਾਪਿ ਯੇ ਯੇ ਤਮਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਨ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਨਾਮ੍ਨਿ ਵ੍ਯਸ਼੍ਵਸਨ੍ ਤੇਭ੍ਯ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਾ ਭਵਿਤੁਮ੍ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਮ੍ ਅਦਦਾਤ੍|
But as many as did accept him, to them he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name,
13 ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਜਨਿਃ ਸ਼ੋਣਿਤਾੰਨ ਸ਼ਾਰੀਰਿਕਾਭਿਲਾਸ਼਼ਾੰਨ ਮਾਨਵਾਨਾਮਿੱਛਾਤੋ ਨ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਾਦਭਵਤ੍|
who were begotten, not from blood, nor from a will of flesh, nor from a will of man, but from God.
14 ਸ ਵਾਦੋ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਰੂਪੇਣਾਵਤੀਰ੍ੱਯ ਸਤ੍ਯਤਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਪਰਿਪੂਰ੍ਣਃ ਸਨ੍ ਸਾਰ੍ਧਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਨ੍ਯਵਸਤ੍ ਤਤਃ ਪਿਤੁਰਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯਪੁਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਯ ਯੋਗ੍ਯੋ ਯੋ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤੰ ਮਹਿਮਾਨੰ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਪਸ਼੍ਯਾਮ|
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us. And we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 ਤਤੋ ਯੋਹਨਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ੍ੱਯ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਮਿਦੰ ਦੱਤਵਾਨ੍ ਯੋ ਮਮ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਸ ਮੱਤੋ ਗੁਰੁਤਰਃ; ਯਤੋ ਮਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਸ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਮਾਨ ਆਸੀਤ੍; ਯਦਰ੍ਥਮ੍ ਅਹੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਮਿਦਮ੍ ਅਦਾਂ ਸ ਏਸ਼਼ਃ|
John testified about him, and cried out, saying, This was he of whom I said, He who comes after me came to be before me, because he was before me.
16 ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪੂਰ੍ਣਤਾਯਾ ਵਯੰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਕ੍ਰਮਸ਼ਃ ਕ੍ਰਮਸ਼ੋਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਾਃ|
And from his fullness we all received, even grace for grace.
17 ਮੂਸਾਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾ ਦੱਤਾ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਨੁਗ੍ਰਹਃ ਸਤ੍ਯਤ੍ਵਞ੍ਚ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਸਮੁਪਾਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਾਂ|
Because the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth came to be through Jesus Christ.
18 ਕੋਪਿ ਮਨੁਜ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਕਦਾਪਿ ਨਾਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪਿਤੁਃ ਕ੍ਰੋਡਸ੍ਥੋ(ਅ)ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯਃ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਤੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਯਤ੍|
No man has ever seen God. The only begotten Son, being in the bosom of the Father, that man reported him.
19 ਤ੍ਵੰ ਕਃ? ਇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼੍ਟੁੰ ਯਦਾ ਯਿਹੂਦੀਯਲੋਕਾ ਯਾਜਕਾਨ੍ ਲੇਵਿਲੋਕਾਂਸ਼੍ਚ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮੋ ਯੋਹਨਃ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ,
And this is the testimony of John when the Jews sent forth priests and Levites from Jerusalem so that they might ask him, Who are thou?
20 ਤਦਾ ਸ ਸ੍ਵੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍ ਨਾਪਹ੍ਨੂਤਵਾਨ੍ ਨਾਹਮ੍ ਅਭਿਸ਼਼ਿਕ੍ਤ ਇਤ੍ਯਙ੍ਗੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍|
And he confessed, and did not deny, and confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 ਤਦਾ ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਕੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍? ਕਿੰ ਏਲਿਯਃ? ਸੋਵਦਤ੍ ਨ; ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਸ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦੀ? ਸੋਵਦਤ੍ ਨਾਹੰ ਸਃ|
And they asked him, What therefore, are thou Elijah? And he says, I am not. Are thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
22 ਤਦਾ ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਕਃ? ਵਯੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕਾਨ੍ ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਕਿੰ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਃ? ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਕਿੰ ਵਦਸਿ?
They said therefore to him, Who are thou, so that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do thou say about thyself?
23 ਤਦਾ ਸੋਵਦਤ੍| ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਪਨ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਪਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਕੁਰੁਤ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਤਃ| ਇਤੀਦੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ੍ਤਰੇ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਤਃ ਕਸ੍ਯਚਿਦ੍ਰਵਃ| ਕਥਾਮਿਮਾਂ ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਯਿਸ਼ਯਿਯੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦੀ ਲਿਖਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਸੋਹਮ੍|
He said, I am the voice of a man crying out in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord, just as the prophet Isaiah said.
24 ਯੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਿਤਾਸ੍ਤੇ ਫਿਰੂਸ਼ਿਲੋਕਾਃ|
And those who were sent were from the Pharisees.
25 ਤਦਾ ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਯਦਿ ਨਾਭਿਸ਼਼ਿਕ੍ਤੋਸਿ ਏਲਿਯੋਸਿ ਨ ਸ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦ੍ਯਪਿ ਨਾਸਿ ਚ, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਲੋਕਾਨ੍ ਮੱਜਯਸਿ ਕੁਤਃ?
And they asked him, and said to him, Why therefore do thou immerse if thou are not the Christ nor Elijah nor the prophet?
26 ਤਤੋ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਵੋਚਤ੍, ਤੋਯੇ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਮੱਜਯਾਮੀਤਿ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੰ ਯੂਯੰ ਨ ਜਾਨੀਥ ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ ਏਕੋ ਜਨੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਧ੍ਯ ਉਪਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ|
John answered them, saying, I immerse in water, but amidst you stands him whom ye know not.
27 ਸ ਮਤ੍ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗਤੋਪਿ ਮਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਵਰ੍ੱਤਮਾਨ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪਾਦੁਕਾਬਨ੍ਧਨੰ ਮੋਚਯਿਤੁਮਪਿ ਨਾਹੰ ਯੋਗ੍ਯੋਸ੍ਮਿ|
He is the man who comes after me, who has become before me, of whom I am not worthy that I might loosen the strap of his shoe.
28 ਯਰ੍ੱਦਨਨਦ੍ਯਾਃ ਪਾਰਸ੍ਥਬੈਥਬਾਰਾਯਾਂ ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਯੋਹਨਮੱਜਯਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਮੇਤਦ੍ ਅਘਟਤ|
These things occurred in Bethany beyond the Jordan where John was immersing.
29 ਪਰੇ(ਅ)ਹਨਿ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਸ੍ਵਨਿਕਟਮਾਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੰ ਯਿਸ਼ੁੰ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਾਵੋਚਤ੍ ਜਗਤਃ ਪਾਪਮੋਚਕਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਮੇਸ਼਼ਸ਼ਾਵਕੰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ|
On the morrow John sees Jesus coming to him, and he says, Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
30 ਯੋ ਮਮ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦਾਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਸ ਮੱਤੋ ਗੁਰੁਤਰਃ, ਯਤੋ ਹੇਤੋਰ੍ਮਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਸੋ(ਅ)ਵਰ੍ੱਤਤ ਯਸ੍ਮਿੰਨਹੰ ਕਥਾਮਿਮਾਂ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਸ ਏਵਾਯੰ|
This is he about whom I said, After me comes a man who has become before me, because he was before me.
31 ਅਪਰੰ ਨਾਹਮੇਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਭਿਜ੍ਞਾਤਵਾਨ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਯੇੱਲੋਕਾ ਏਨੰ ਯਥਾ ਪਰਿਚਿਨ੍ਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦਭਿਪ੍ਰਾਯੇਣਾਹੰ ਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਯਿਤੁਮਾਗੱਛਮ੍|
And I had not known him, but that he would be made known to Israel. Because of this I came immersing in water.
32 ਪੁਨਸ਼੍ਚ ਯੋਹਨਪਰਮੇਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਤ੍ਵਾ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਵਿਹਾਯਸਃ ਕਪੋਤਵਦ੍ ਅਵਤਰਨ੍ਤਮਾਤ੍ਮਾਨਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਯੋਪਰ੍ੱਯਵਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ਤੰ ਚ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨਹਮ੍|
And John testified, saying, I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained upon him.
33 ਨਾਹਮੇਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਭਿਜ੍ਞਾਤਵਾਨ੍ ਇਤਿ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੋ ਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਯਿਤੁੰ ਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੈਰਯਤ੍ ਸ ਏਵੇਮਾਂ ਕਥਾਮਕਥਯਤ੍ ਯਸ੍ਯੋਪਰ੍ੱਯਾਤ੍ਮਾਨਮ੍ ਅਵਤਰਨ੍ਤਮ੍ ਅਵਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ਤਞ੍ਚ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯਸਿ ਸਏਵ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਆਤ੍ਮਨਿ ਮੱਜਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
And I had not known him. But he who sent me to immerse in water, he said to me, Upon whomever thou will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him, this is he who immerses in the Holy Spirit.
34 ਅਵਸ੍ਤੰਨਿਰੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਯਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਤਨਯ ਇਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਦਾਮਿ|
And I have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.
35 ਪਰੇ(ਅ)ਹਨਿ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਦ੍ਵਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧੇਂ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍
Again on the morrow John stood, and two of his disciples.
36 ਯਿਸ਼ੁੰ ਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੰ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਗਦਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਮੇਸ਼਼ਸ਼ਾਵਕੰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤੰ|
And having looked upon Jesus walking, he says, Behold, the Lamb of God!
37 ਇਮਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੌ ਯੀਸ਼ੋਃ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਈਯਤੁਃ|
And the two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
38 ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪਰਾਵ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯ ਤੌ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੌ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨ੍ ਯੁਵਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਗਵੇਸ਼ਯਥਃ? ਤਾਵਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਰੱਬਿ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਹੇ ਗੁਰੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਕੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ?
And Jesus having turned, and having seen them following, says to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi (which says, being interpreted, Teacher), where do thou dwell?
39 ਤਤਃ ਸੋਵਾਦਿਤ੍ ਏਤ੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤੰ| ਤਤੋ ਦਿਵਸਸ੍ਯ ਤ੍ਰੁʼਤੀਯਪ੍ਰਹਰਸ੍ਯ ਗਤਤ੍ਵਾਤ੍ ਤੌ ਤੱਦਿਨੰ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਙ੍ਗੇ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਥਾਤਾਂ|
He says to them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and remained with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
40 ਯੌ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਯੋਹਨੋ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਯਿਸ਼ੋਃ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗਮਤਾਂ ਤਯੋਃ ਸ਼ਿਮੋਨ੍ਪਿਤਰਸ੍ਯ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਆਨ੍ਦ੍ਰਿਯਃ
Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard from John and who followed him.
41 ਸ ਇਤ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੰ ਨਿਜਸੋਦਰੰ ਸ਼ਿਮੋਨੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਵਯੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਅਭਿਸ਼਼ਿਕ੍ਤਪੁਰੁਸ਼਼ੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
This man first finds his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found the Messiah (which is, being interpreted, Christ).
42 ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਸ ਤੰ ਯਿਸ਼ੋਃ ਸਮੀਪਮ੍ ਆਨਯਤ੍| ਤਦਾ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾਵਦਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਯੂਨਸਃ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਃ ਸ਼ਿਮੋਨ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤ੍ਵੰਨਾਮਧੇਯੰ ਕੈਫਾਃ ਵਾ ਪਿਤਰਃ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਸ੍ਤਰੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
And he brought him to Jesus. And having seen him, Jesus said, Thou are Simon the son of Jonah. Thou will be called Cephas (which is interpreted, Peter).
43 ਪਰੇ(ਅ)ਹਨਿ ਯੀਸ਼ੌ ਗਾਲੀਲੰ ਗਨ੍ਤੁੰ ਨਿਸ਼੍ਚਿਤਚੇਤਸਿ ਸਤਿ ਫਿਲਿਪਨਾਮਾਨੰ ਜਨੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਾਵੋਚਤ੍ ਮਮ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗੱਛ|
On the morrow he wanted to go forth into Galilee, and he finds Philip. And Jesus says to him, Follow me.
44 ਬੈਤ੍ਸੈਦਾਨਾਮ੍ਨਿ ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੇ ਪਿਤਰਾਨ੍ਦ੍ਰਿਯਯੋਰ੍ਵਾਸ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਫਿਲਿਪਸ੍ਯ ਵਸਤਿਰਾਸੀਤ੍|
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਫਿਲਿਪੋ ਨਿਥਨੇਲੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਾਵਦਤ੍ ਮੂਸਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾ ਗ੍ਰਨ੍ਥੇ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦਿਨਾਂ ਗ੍ਰਨ੍ਥੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਚ ਯਸ੍ਯਾਖ੍ਯਾਨੰ ਲਿਖਿਤਮਾਸ੍ਤੇ ਤੰ ਯੂਸ਼਼ਫਃ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੰ ਨਾਸਰਤੀਯੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਦ੍ ਅਕਾਰ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਮ ਵਯੰ|
Philip finds Nathanael, and says to him, We have found him of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets wrote: Jesus the son of Joseph of Nazareth.
46 ਤਦਾ ਨਿਥਨੇਲ੍ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਨਾਸਰੰਨਗਰਾਤ ਕਿੰ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦੁੱਤਮ ਉਤ੍ਪਨ੍ਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੋਤਿ? ਤਤਃ ਫਿਲਿਪੋ (ਅ)ਵੋਚਤ੍ ਏਤ੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ|
And Nathanael said to him, What good can be from Nazareth? Philip says to him, Come and see.
47 ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਤਮ੍ ਆਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਵ੍ਯਾਹ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍, ਪਸ਼੍ਯਾਯੰ ਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਕਪਟਃ ਸਤ੍ਯ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਯੇੱਲੋਕਃ|
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and says about him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit.
48 ਤਤਃ ਸੋਵਦਦ੍, ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਮਾਂ ਕਥੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਭਿਜਾਨਾਤਿ? ਯੀਸ਼ੁਰਵਾਦੀਤ੍ ਫਿਲਿਪਸ੍ਯ ਆਹ੍ਵਾਨਾਤ੍ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਯਦਾ ਤ੍ਵਮੁਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਸ੍ਯ ਤਰੋਰ੍ਮੂਲੇ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਤਦਾ ਤ੍ਵਾਮਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਮ੍|
Nathanael says to him, How do thou know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, being under the fig tree, I saw thee.
49 ਨਿਥਨੇਲ੍ ਅਚਕਥਤ੍, ਹੇ ਗੁਰੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਨਿਤਾਨ੍ਤਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੋਸਿ, ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਯੇਲ੍ਵੰਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਾ|
Nathanael answered, and says to him, Rabbi, thou are the Son of God. Thou are the king of Israel.
50 ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁ ਰ੍ਵ੍ਯਾਹਰਤ੍, ਤ੍ਵਾਮੁਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਸ੍ਯ ਪਾਦਪਸ੍ਯ ਮੂਲੇ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨਾਹੰ ਮਮੈਤਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ਵਾਕ੍ਯਾਤ੍ ਕਿੰ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਵ੍ਯਸ਼੍ਵਸੀਃ? ਏਤਸ੍ਮਾਦਪ੍ਯਾਸ਼੍ਚਰ੍ੱਯਾਣਿ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਣਿ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਸਿ|
Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, thou believe? Thou will see greater than these things.
51 ਅਨ੍ਯੱਚਾਵਾਦੀਦ੍ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨਹੰ ਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਇਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਮੋਚਿਤੇ ਮੇਘਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ਮਨੁਜਸੂਨੁਨਾ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਦੂਤਗਣਮ੍ ਅਵਰੋਹਨ੍ਤਮਾਰੋਹਨ੍ਤਞ੍ਚ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ|
And he says to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, henceforth ye will see the heaven opened, and the agents of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
