ମଥିଃ 11
1 ଇତ୍ଥଂ ଯୀଶୁଃ ସ୍ୱଦ୍ୱାଦଶଶିଷ୍ୟାଣାମାଜ୍ଞାପନଂ ସମାପ୍ୟ ପୁରେ ପୁର ଉପଦେଷ୍ଟୁଂ ସୁସଂୱାଦଂ ପ୍ରଚାରଯିତୁଂ ତତ୍ସ୍ଥାନାତ୍ ପ୍ରତସ୍ଥେ|
When Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he departed from there to teach and preach in the cities of Galilee.
2 ଅନନ୍ତରଂ ଯୋହନ୍ କାରାଯାଂ ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ ଖ୍ରିଷ୍ଟସ୍ୟ କର୍ମ୍ମଣାଂ ୱାର୍ତ୍ତଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ୟ ଯସ୍ୟାଗମନୱାର୍ତ୍ତାସୀତ୍ ସଏୱ କିଂ ତ୍ୱଂ? ୱା ୱଯମନ୍ୟମ୍ ଅପେକ୍ଷିଷ୍ୟାମହେ?
Now when John heard in prison about the works Christ had done, he sent two of his disciples
3 ଏତତ୍ ପ୍ରଷ୍ଟୁଂ ନିଜୌ ଦ୍ୱୌ ଶିଷ୍ୟୌ ପ୍ରାହିଣୋତ୍|
to ask him, “Are yoʋ the one who is to come, or should we wait for another?”
4 ଯୀଶୁଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱୋଚତ୍, ଅନ୍ଧା ନେତ୍ରାଣି ଲଭନ୍ତେ, ଖଞ୍ଚା ଗଚ୍ଛନ୍ତି, କୁଷ୍ଠିନଃ ସ୍ୱସ୍ଥା ଭୱନ୍ତି, ବଧିରାଃ ଶୃଣ୍ୱନ୍ତି, ମୃତା ଜୀୱନ୍ତ ଉତ୍ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ତି, ଦରିଦ୍ରାଣାଂ ସମୀପେ ସୁସଂୱାଦଃ ପ୍ରଚାର୍ୟ୍ୟତ,
Jesus answered them, “Go tell John what you hear and see:
5 ଏତାନି ଯଦ୍ୟଦ୍ ଯୁୱାଂ ଶୃଣୁଥଃ ପଶ୍ୟଥଶ୍ଚ ଗତ୍ୱା ତଦ୍ୱାର୍ତ୍ତାଂ ଯୋହନଂ ଗଦତଂ|
The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are made clean and the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the poor have good news preached to them.
6 ଯସ୍ୟାହଂ ନ ୱିଘ୍ନୀଭୱାମି, ସଏୱ ଧନ୍ୟଃ|
And blessed is anyone who does not take offense at me.”
7 ଅନନ୍ତରଂ ତଯୋଃ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥିତଯୋ ର୍ୟୀଶୁ ର୍ୟୋହନମ୍ ଉଦ୍ଦିଶ୍ୟ ଜନାନ୍ ଜଗାଦ, ଯୂଯଂ କିଂ ଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟୁଂ ୱହିର୍ମଧ୍ୟେପ୍ରାନ୍ତରମ୍ ଅଗଚ୍ଛତ? କିଂ ୱାତେନ କମ୍ପିତଂ ନଲଂ?
As these men went away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
8 ୱା କିଂ ୱୀକ୍ଷିତୁଂ ୱହିର୍ଗତୱନ୍ତଃ? କିଂ ପରିହିତସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମୱସନଂ ମନୁଜମେକଂ? ପଶ୍ୟତ, ଯେ ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମୱସନାନି ପରିଦଧତି, ତେ ରାଜଧାନ୍ୟାଂ ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ତି|
What then did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Behold, those who wear soft garments are in the palaces of kings.
9 ତର୍ହି ଯୂଯଂ କିଂ ଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟୁଂ ବହିରଗମତ, କିମେକଂ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିନଂ? ତଦେୱ ସତ୍ୟଂ| ଯୁଷ୍ମାନହଂ ୱଦାମି, ସ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିନୋପି ମହାନ୍;
But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
10 ଯତଃ, ପଶ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱକୀଯଦୂତୋଯଂ ତ୍ୱଦଗ୍ରେ ପ୍ରେଷ୍ୟତେ ମଯା| ସ ଗତ୍ୱା ତୱ ପନ୍ଥାନଂ ସ୍ମଯକ୍ ପରିଷ୍କରିଷ୍ୟତି|| ଏତଦ୍ୱଚନଂ ଯମଧି ଲିଖିତମାସ୍ତେ ସୋଽଯଂ ଯୋହନ୍|
For this is the one of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of yoʋ, who will prepare yoʋr way before yoʋ.’
11 ଅପରଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନହଂ ତଥ୍ୟଂ ବ୍ରୱୀମି, ମଜ୍ଜଯିତୁ ର୍ୟୋହନଃ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠଃ କୋପି ନାରୀତୋ ନାଜାଯତ; ତଥାପି ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟମଧ୍ୟେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଭ୍ୟୋ ଯଃ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଃ ସ ଯୋହନଃ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠଃ|
Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist, but whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ଆ ଯୋହନୋଽଦ୍ୟ ଯାୱତ୍ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟଂ ବଲାଦାକ୍ରାନ୍ତଂ ଭୱତି ଆକ୍ରମିନଶ୍ଚ ଜନା ବଲେନ ତଦଧିକୁର୍ୱ୍ୱନ୍ତି|
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has been suffering violence, and the violent try to take it by force.
13 ଯତୋ ଯୋହନଂ ଯାୱତ୍ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିଭି ର୍ୱ୍ୟୱସ୍ଥଯା ଚ ଉପଦେଶଃ ପ୍ରାକାଶ୍ୟତ|
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 ଯଦି ଯୂଯମିଦଂ ୱାକ୍ୟଂ ଗ୍ରହୀତୁଂ ଶକ୍ନୁଥ, ତର୍ହି ଶ୍ରେଯଃ, ଯସ୍ୟାଗମନସ୍ୟ ୱଚନମାସ୍ତେ ସୋଽଯମ୍ ଏଲିଯଃ|
And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.
15 ଯସ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରୋତୁଂ କର୍ଣୌ ସ୍ତଃ ସ ଶୃଣୋତୁ|
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
16 ଏତେ ୱିଦ୍ୟମାନଜନାଃ କୈ ର୍ମଯୋପମୀଯନ୍ତେ? ଯେ ବାଲକା ହଟ୍ଟ ଉପୱିଶ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱଂ ସ୍ୱଂ ବନ୍ଧୁମାହୂଯ ୱଦନ୍ତି,
“But to what should I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to their companions,
17 ୱଯଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ସମୀପେ ୱଂଶୀରୱାଦଯାମ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୂଯଂ ନାନୃତ୍ୟତ; ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ସମୀପେ ଚ ୱଯମରୋଦିମ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୂଯଂ ନ ୱ୍ୟଲପତ, ତାଦୃଶୈ ର୍ବାଲକୈସ୍ତ ଉପମାଯିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ|
‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance; we sang a lament for you, but you did not mourn.’
18 ଯତୋ ଯୋହନ୍ ଆଗତ୍ୟ ନ ଭୁକ୍ତୱାନ୍ ନ ପୀତୱାଂଶ୍ଚ, ତେନ ଲୋକା ୱଦନ୍ତି, ସ ଭୂତଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ଇତି|
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’
19 ମନୁଜସୁତ ଆଗତ୍ୟ ଭୁକ୍ତୱାନ୍ ପୀତୱାଂଶ୍ଚ, ତେନ ଲୋକା ୱଦନ୍ତି, ପଶ୍ୟତ ଏଷ ଭୋକ୍ତା ମଦ୍ୟପାତା ଚଣ୍ଡାଲପାପିନାଂ ବନ୍ଧଶ୍ଚ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଜ୍ଞାନିନୋ ଜ୍ଞାନୱ୍ୟୱହାରଂ ନିର୍ଦୋଷଂ ଜାନନ୍ତି|
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is vindicated by her children.”
20 ସ ଯତ୍ର ଯତ୍ର ପୁରେ ବହ୍ୱାଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ୟଂ କର୍ମ୍ମ କୃତୱାନ୍, ତନ୍ନିୱାସିନାଂ ମନଃପରାୱୃତ୍ତ୍ୟଭାୱାତ୍ ତାନି ନଗରାଣି ପ୍ରତି ହନ୍ତେତ୍ୟୁକ୍ତା କଥିତୱାନ୍,
Then Jesus began to reproach the cities in which most of his miracles had been done, because they did not repent:
21 ହା କୋରାସୀନ୍, ହା ବୈତ୍ସୈଦେ, ଯୁଷ୍ମନ୍ମଧ୍ୟେ ଯଦ୍ୟଦାଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ୟଂ କର୍ମ୍ମ କୃତଂ ଯଦି ତତ୍ ସୋରସୀଦୋନ୍ନଗର ଅକାରିଷ୍ୟତ, ତର୍ହି ପୂର୍ୱ୍ୱମେୱ ତନ୍ନିୱାସିନଃ ଶାଣୱସନେ ଭସ୍ମନି ଚୋପୱିଶନ୍ତୋ ମନାଂସି ପରାୱର୍ତ୍ତିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତ|
“Woe to yoʋ, Chorazin! Woe to yoʋ, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 ତସ୍ମାଦହଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ୱଦାମି, ୱିଚାରଦିନେ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ଦଶାତଃ ସୋରସୀଦୋନୋ ର୍ଦଶା ସହ୍ୟତରା ଭୱିଷ୍ୟତି|
But I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.
23 ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ବତ କଫର୍ନାହୂମ୍, ତ୍ୱଂ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗଂ ଯାୱଦୁନ୍ନତୋସି, କିନ୍ତୁ ନରକେ ନିକ୍ଷେପ୍ସ୍ୟସେ, ଯସ୍ମାତ୍ ତ୍ୱଯି ଯାନ୍ୟାଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ୟାଣି କର୍ମ୍ମଣ୍ୟକାରିଷତ, ଯଦି ତାନି ସିଦୋମ୍ନଗର ଅକାରିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତ, ତର୍ହି ତଦଦ୍ୟ ଯାୱଦସ୍ଥାସ୍ୟତ୍| (Hadēs g86)
And yoʋ, Capernaum, who have been exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. For if the miracles that were done in yoʋ had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs g86)
24 କିନ୍ତ୍ୱହଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ୱଦାମି, ୱିଚାରଦିନେ ତୱ ଦଣ୍ଡତଃ ସିଦୋମୋ ଦଣ୍ଡୋ ସହ୍ୟତରୋ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟତି|
But I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for yoʋ.”
25 ଏତସ୍ମିନ୍ନେୱ ସମଯେ ଯୀଶୁଃ ପୁନରୁୱାଚ, ହେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗପୃଥିୱ୍ୟୋରେକାଧିପତେ ପିତସ୍ତ୍ୱଂ ଜ୍ଞାନୱତୋ ୱିଦୁଷଶ୍ଚ ଲୋକାନ୍ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେତାନି ନ ପ୍ରକାଶ୍ୟ ବାଲକାନ୍ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରକାଶିତୱାନ୍, ଇତି ହେତୋସ୍ତ୍ୱାଂ ଧନ୍ୟଂ ୱଦାମି|
At that time Jesus said, “I praise yoʋ, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because yoʋ have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to infants.
26 ହେ ପିତଃ, ଇତ୍ଥଂ ଭୱେତ୍ ଯତ ଇଦଂ ତ୍ୱଦୃଷ୍ଟାୱୁତ୍ତମଂ|
Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in yoʋr sight.
27 ପିତ୍ରା ମଯି ସର୍ୱ୍ୱାଣି ସମର୍ପିତାନି, ପିତରଂ ୱିନା କୋପି ପୁତ୍ରଂ ନ ଜାନାତି, ଯାନ୍ ପ୍ରତି ପୁତ୍ରେଣ ପିତା ପ୍ରକାଶ୍ୟତେ ତାନ୍ ୱିନା ପୁତ୍ରାଦ୍ ଅନ୍ୟଃ କୋପି ପିତରଂ ନ ଜାନାତି|
All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 ହେ ପରିଶ୍ରାନ୍ତା ଭାରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତାଶ୍ଚ ଲୋକା ଯୂଯଂ ମତ୍ସନ୍ନିଧିମ୍ ଆଗଚ୍ଛତ, ଅହଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ୱିଶ୍ରମଯିଷ୍ୟାମି|
Come to me, all of you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 ଅହଂ କ୍ଷମଣଶୀଲୋ ନମ୍ରମନାଶ୍ଚ, ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ମମ ଯୁଗଂ ସ୍ୱେଷାମୁପରି ଧାରଯତ ମତ୍ତଃ ଶିକ୍ଷଧ୍ୱଞ୍ଚ, ତେନ ଯୂଯଂ ସ୍ୱେ ସ୍ୱେ ମନସି ୱିଶ୍ରାମଂ ଲପ୍ସ୍ୟଧ୍ବେ|
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 ଯତୋ ମମ ଯୁଗମ୍ ଅନାଯାସଂ ମମ ଭାରଶ୍ଚ ଲଘୁଃ|
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
