ଯୋହନଃ 3
1 ନିକଦିମନାମା ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାମ୍ ଅଧିପତିଃ ଫିରୂଶୀ କ୍ଷଣଦାଯାଂ
There was nowe a man of the Pharises, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Iewes.
2 ଯୀଶୌରଭ୍ୟର୍ଣମ୍ ଆୱ୍ରଜ୍ୟ ୱ୍ୟାହାର୍ଷୀତ୍, ହେ ଗୁରୋ ଭୱାନ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରାଦ୍ ଆଗତ୍ ଏକ ଉପଦେଷ୍ଟା, ଏତଦ୍ ଅସ୍ମାଭିର୍ଜ୍ଞାଯତେ; ଯତୋ ଭୱତା ଯାନ୍ୟାଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ୟକର୍ମ୍ମାଣି କ୍ରିଯନ୍ତେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ସାହାଯ୍ୟଂ ୱିନା କେନାପି ତତ୍ତତ୍କର୍ମ୍ମାଣି କର୍ତ୍ତୁଂ ନ ଶକ୍ୟନ୍ତେ|
This man came to Iesus by night, and sayd vnto him, Rabbi, we knowe ye thou art a teacher come from God: for no man could do these miracles that thou doest, except God were with him.
3 ତଦା ଯୀଶୁରୁତ୍ତରଂ ଦତ୍ତୱାନ୍ ତୱାହଂ ଯଥାର୍ଥତରଂ ୱ୍ୟାହରାମି ପୁନର୍ଜନ୍ମନି ନ ସତି କୋପି ମାନୱ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ରାଜ୍ୟଂ ଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟୁଂ ନ ଶକ୍ନୋତି|
Iesus answered, and said vnto him, Verely, verely I say vnto thee, except a man be borne againe, he can not see the kingdome of God.
4 ତତୋ ନିକଦୀମଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱୋଚତ୍ ମନୁଜୋ ୱୃଦ୍ଧୋ ଭୂତ୍ୱା କଥଂ ଜନିଷ୍ୟତେ? ସ କିଂ ପୁନ ର୍ମାତୃର୍ଜଠରଂ ପ୍ରୱିଶ୍ୟ ଜନିତୁଂ ଶକ୍ନୋତି?
Nicodemus sayde vnto him, Howe can a man be borne which is olde? can he enter into his mothers wombe againe, and be borne?
5 ଯୀଶୁରୱାଦୀଦ୍ ଯଥାର୍ଥତରମ୍ ଅହଂ କଥଯାମି ମନୁଜେ ତୋଯାତ୍ମଭ୍ୟାଂ ପୁନ ର୍ନ ଜାତେ ସ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ରାଜ୍ୟଂ ପ୍ରୱେଷ୍ଟୁଂ ନ ଶକ୍ନୋତି|
Iesus answered, Verely, verely I say vnto thee, except that a man be borne of water and of the Spirite, hee can not enter into the kingdome of God.
6 ମାଂସାଦ୍ ଯତ୍ ଜାଯତେ ତନ୍ ମାଂସମେୱ ତଥାତ୍ମନୋ ଯୋ ଜାଯତେ ସ ଆତ୍ମୈୱ|
That which is borne of the flesh, is flesh: and that that is borne of the Spirit, is spirit.
7 ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭିଃ ପୁନ ର୍ଜନିତୱ୍ୟଂ ମମୈତସ୍ୟାଂ କଥାଯାମ୍ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟଂ ମା ମଂସ୍ଥାଃ|
Marueile not that I said to thee, Yee must be borne againe.
8 ସଦାଗତିର୍ୟାଂ ଦିଶମିଚ୍ଛତି ତସ୍ୟାମେୱ ଦିଶି ୱାତି, ତ୍ୱଂ ତସ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱନଂ ଶୁଣୋଷି କିନ୍ତୁ ସ କୁତ ଆଯାତି କୁତ୍ର ଯାତି ୱା କିମପି ନ ଜାନାସି ତଦ୍ୱାଦ୍ ଆତ୍ମନଃ ସକାଶାତ୍ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଷାଂ ମନୁଜାନାଂ ଜନ୍ମ ଭୱତି|
The winde bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it commeth, and whither it goeth: so is euery man that is borne of the Spirit.
9 ତଦା ନିକଦୀମଃ ପୃଷ୍ଟୱାନ୍ ଏତତ୍ କଥଂ ଭୱିତୁଂ ଶକ୍ନୋତି?
Nicodemus answered, and said vnto him, Howe can these things be?
10 ଯୀଶୁଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ତୱାନ୍ ତ୍ୱମିସ୍ରାଯେଲୋ ଗୁରୁର୍ଭୂତ୍ୱାପି କିମେତାଂ କଥାଂ ନ ୱେତ୍ସି?
Iesus answered, and saide vnto him, Art thou a teacher of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 ତୁଭ୍ୟଂ ଯଥାର୍ଥଂ କଥଯାମି, ୱଯଂ ଯଦ୍ ୱିଦ୍ମସ୍ତଦ୍ ୱଚ୍ମଃ ଯଂଚ୍ଚ ପଶ୍ୟାମସ୍ତସ୍ୟୈୱ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଂ ଦଦ୍ମଃ କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭିରସ୍ମାକଂ ସାକ୍ଷିତ୍ୱଂ ନ ଗୃହ୍ୟତେ|
Verely, verely I say vnto thee, wee speake that we know, and testifie that we haue seene: but yee receiue not our witnesse.
12 ଏତସ୍ୟ ସଂସାରସ୍ୟ କଥାଯାଂ କଥିତାଯାଂ ଯଦି ଯୂଯଂ ନ ୱିଶ୍ୱସିଥ ତର୍ହି ସ୍ୱର୍ଗୀଯାଯାଂ କଥାଯାଂ କଥଂ ୱିଶ୍ୱସିଷ୍ୟଥ?
If when I tel you earthly things, ye beleeue not, howe should yee beleeue, if I shall tel you of heauenly things?
13 ଯଃ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗେଽସ୍ତି ଯଂ ଚ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗାଦ୍ ଅୱାରୋହତ୍ ତଂ ମାନୱତନଯଂ ୱିନା କୋପି ସ୍ୱର୍ଗଂ ନାରୋହତ୍|
For no man ascendeth vp to heauen, but he that hath descended from heauen, that Sonne of man which is in heauen.
14 ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ମୂସା ଯଥା ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରେ ସର୍ପଂ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ଥାପିତୱାନ୍ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରୋଽପି ତଥୈୱୋତ୍ଥାପିତୱ୍ୟଃ;
And as Moses lift vp the serpent in the wildernesse, so must that Sonne of man be lift vp,
That whosoeuer beleeueth in him, shoulde not perish, but haue eternall life. (aiōnios g166)
16 ଈଶ୍ୱର ଇତ୍ଥଂ ଜଗଦଦଯତ ଯତ୍ ସ୍ୱମଦ୍ୱିତୀଯଂ ତନଯଂ ପ୍ରାଦଦାତ୍ ତତୋ ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ୱିଶ୍ୱସିଷ୍ୟତି ସୋଽୱିନାଶ୍ୟଃ ସନ୍ ଅନନ୍ତାଯୁଃ ପ୍ରାପ୍ସ୍ୟତି| (aiōnios g166)
For God so loued the worlde, that hee hath giuen his onely begotten Sonne, that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
17 ଈଶ୍ୱରୋ ଜଗତୋ ଲୋକାନ୍ ଦଣ୍ଡଯିତୁଂ ସ୍ୱପୁତ୍ରଂ ନ ପ୍ରେଷ୍ୟ ତାନ୍ ପରିତ୍ରାତୁଂ ପ୍ରେଷିତୱାନ୍|
For God sent not his Sonne into the world, that he should condemne the world, but that the world through him might be saued.
18 ଅତଏୱ ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ୱିଶ୍ୱସିତି ସ ଦଣ୍ଡାର୍ହୋ ନ ଭୱତି କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ନ ୱିଶ୍ୱସିତି ସ ଇଦାନୀମେୱ ଦଣ୍ଡାର୍ହୋ ଭୱତି, ଯତଃ ସ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟାଦ୍ୱିତୀଯପୁତ୍ରସ୍ୟ ନାମନି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟଯଂ ନ କରୋତି|
Hee that beleeueth in him, is not condemned: but hee that beleeueth not, is condemned already, because he hath not beleeued in the Name of that onely begotten Sonne of God.
19 ଜଗତୋ ମଧ୍ୟେ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃ ପ୍ରାକାଶତ କିନ୍ତୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟାଣାଂ କର୍ମ୍ମଣାଂ ଦୃଷ୍ଟତ୍ୱାତ୍ ତେ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଷୋପି ତିମିରେ ପ୍ରୀଯନ୍ତେ ଏତଦେୱ ଦଣ୍ଡସ୍ୟ କାରଣାଂ ଭୱତି|
And this is the condemnation, that that light came into the worlde, and men loued darknesse rather then that light, because their deedes were euill.
20 ଯଃ କୁକର୍ମ୍ମ କରୋତି ତସ୍ୟାଚାରସ୍ୟ ଦୃଷ୍ଟତ୍ୱାତ୍ ସ ଜ୍ୟୋତିରୄତୀଯିତ୍ୱା ତନ୍ନିକଟଂ ନାଯାତି;
For euery man that euill doeth, hateth the light, neither commeth to light, least his deedes should be reprooued.
21 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଃ ସତ୍କର୍ମ୍ମ କରୋତି ତସ୍ୟ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱାଣି କର୍ମ୍ମାଣୀଶ୍ୱରେଣ କୃତାନୀତି ସଥା ପ୍ରକାଶତେ ତଦଭିପ୍ରାଯେଣ ସ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଷଃ ସନ୍ନିଧିମ୍ ଆଯାତି|
But he that doeth trueth, commeth to the light, that his deedes might bee made manifest, that they are wrought according to God.
22 ତତଃ ପରମ୍ ଯୀଶୁଃ ଶିଷ୍ୟୈଃ ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ ଯିହୂଦୀଯଦେଶଂ ଗତ୍ୱା ତତ୍ର ସ୍ଥିତ୍ୱା ମଜ୍ଜଯିତୁମ୍ ଆରଭତ|
After these things, came Iesus and his disciples into the lande of Iudea, and there taried with them, and baptized.
23 ତଦା ଶାଲମ୍ ନଗରସ୍ୟ ସମୀପସ୍ଥାଯିନି ଐନନ୍ ଗ୍ରାମେ ବହୁତରତୋଯସ୍ଥିତେସ୍ତତ୍ର ଯୋହନ୍ ଅମଜ୍ଜଯତ୍ ତଥା ଚ ଲୋକା ଆଗତ୍ୟ ତେନ ମଜ୍ଜିତା ଅଭୱନ୍|
And Iohn also baptized in Enon besides Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 ତଦା ଯୋହନ୍ କାରାଯାଂ ନ ବଦ୍ଧଃ|
For Iohn was not yet cast into prison.
25 ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ଶାଚକର୍ମ୍ମଣି ଯୋହାନଃ ଶିଷ୍ୟୈଃ ସହ ଯିହୂଦୀଯଲୋକାନାଂ ୱିୱାଦେ ଜାତେ, ତେ ଯୋହନଃ ସଂନ୍ନିଧିଂ ଗତ୍ୱାକଥଯନ୍,
Then there arose a question betweene Iohns disciples and the Iewes, about purifying.
26 ହେ ଗୁରୋ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନନଦ୍ୟାଃ ପାରେ ଭୱତା ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ ଯ ଆସୀତ୍ ଯସ୍ମିଂଶ୍ଚ ଭୱାନ୍ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଂ ପ୍ରଦଦାତ୍ ପଶ୍ୟତୁ ସୋପି ମଜ୍ଜଯତି ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ତସ୍ୟ ସମୀପଂ ଯାନ୍ତି ଚ|
And they came vnto Iohn, and saide vnto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Iorden, to whom thou barest witnesse, behold, he baptizeth, and all men come to him.
27 ତଦା ଯୋହନ୍ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱୋଚଦ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରେଣ ନ ଦତ୍ତେ କୋପି ମନୁଜଃ କିମପି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତୁଂ ନ ଶକ୍ନୋତି|
Iohn answered, and saide, A man can receiue nothing, except it be giuen him from heauen.
28 ଅହଂ ଅଭିଷିକ୍ତୋ ନ ଭୱାମି କିନ୍ତୁ ତଦଗ୍ରେ ପ୍ରେଷିତୋସ୍ମି ଯାମିମାଂ କଥାଂ କଥିତୱାନାହଂ ତତ୍ର ଯୂଯଂ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ସାକ୍ଷିଣଃ ସ୍ଥ|
Yee your selues are my witnesses, that I sayde, I am not that Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 ଯୋ ଜନଃ କନ୍ୟାଂ ଲଭତେ ସ ଏୱ ୱରଃ କିନ୍ତୁ ୱରସ୍ୟ ସନ୍ନିଧୌ ଦଣ୍ଡାଯମାନଂ ତସ୍ୟ ଯନ୍ମିତ୍ରଂ ତେନ ୱରସ୍ୟ ଶବ୍ଦେ ଶ୍ରୁତେଽତୀୱାହ୍ଲାଦ୍ୟତେ ମମାପି ତଦ୍ୱଦ୍ ଆନନ୍ଦସିଦ୍ଧିର୍ଜାତା|
He that hath the bride, is the bridegrome: but the friend of the bridegrome which standeth and heareth him, reioyceth greatly, because of the bridegromes voyce. This my ioy therefore is fulfilled.
30 ତେନ କ୍ରମଶୋ ୱର୍ଦ୍ଧିତୱ୍ୟଂ କିନ୍ତୁ ମଯା ହ୍ସିତୱ୍ୟଂ|
He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 ଯ ଊର୍ଧ୍ୱାଦାଗଚ୍ଛତ୍ ସ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଷାଂ ମୁଖ୍ୟୋ ଯଶ୍ଚ ସଂସାରାଦ୍ ଉଦପଦ୍ୟତ ସ ସାଂସାରିକଃ ସଂସାରୀଯାଂ କଥାଞ୍ଚ କଥଯତି ଯସ୍ତୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗାଦାଗଚ୍ଛତ୍ ସ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଷାଂ ମୁଖ୍ୟଃ|
Hee that is come from an hie, is aboue all: he that is of the earth, is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth: hee that is come from heauen, is aboue all.
32 ସ ଯଦପଶ୍ୟଦଶୃଣୋଚ୍ଚ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ନେୱ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଂ ଦଦାତି ତଥାପି ପ୍ରାଯଶଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ତସ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଂ ନ ଗୃହ୍ଲାତି;
And what hee hath seene and heard, that he testifieth: but no man receiueth his testimonie.
33 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୋ ଗୃହ୍ଲାତି ସ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟୱାଦିତ୍ୱଂ ମୁଦ୍ରାଙ୍ଗିତଂ କରୋତି|
He that hath receiued his testimonie, hath sealed that God is true.
34 ଈଶ୍ୱରେଣ ଯଃ ପ୍ରେରିତଃ ସଏୱ ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯକଥାଂ କଥଯତି ଯତ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଆତ୍ମାନଂ ତସ୍ମୈ ଅପରିମିତମ୍ ଅଦଦାତ୍|
For hee whome God hath sent, speaketh the woordes of God: for God giueth him not the Spirit by measure.
35 ପିତା ପୁତ୍ରେ ସ୍ନେହଂ କୃତ୍ୱା ତସ୍ୟ ହସ୍ତେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱାଣି ସମର୍ପିତୱାନ୍|
The Father loueth the Sonne, and hath giuen all things into his hande.
36 ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ପୁତ୍ରେ ୱିଶ୍ୱସିତି ସ ଏୱାନନ୍ତମ୍ ପରମାଯୁଃ ପ୍ରାପ୍ନୋତି କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ପୁତ୍ରେ ନ ୱିଶ୍ୱସିତି ସ ପରମାଯୁଷୋ ଦର୍ଶନଂ ନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ନୋତି କିନ୍ତ୍ୱୀଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ କୋପଭାଜନଂ ଭୂତ୍ୱା ତିଷ୍ଠତି| (aiōnios g166)
Hee that beleeueth in the Sonne, hath euerlasting life, and hee that obeyeth not the Sonne, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. (aiōnios g166)
