ଯୋହନଃ 18
1 ତାଃ କଥାଃ କଥଯିତ୍ୱା ଯୀଶୁଃ ଶିଷ୍ୟାନାଦାଯ କିଦ୍ରୋନ୍ନାମକଂ ସ୍ରୋତ ଉତ୍ତୀର୍ୟ୍ୟ ଶିଷ୍ୟୈଃ ସହ ତତ୍ରତ୍ୟୋଦ୍ୟାନଂ ପ୍ରାୱିଶତ୍|
When Yeshua had spoken these words, he went out with his talmidim over the wadi of the Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he and his talmidim entered.
2 କିନ୍ତୁ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତିଯିହୂଦାସ୍ତତ୍ ସ୍ଥାନଂ ପରିଚୀଯତେ ଯତୋ ଯୀଶୁଃ ଶିଷ୍ୟୈଃ ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ କଦାଚିତ୍ ତତ୍ ସ୍ଥାନମ୍ ଅଗଚ୍ଛତ୍|
Now Judah, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Yeshua often met there with his talmidim.
3 ତଦା ସ ଯିହୂଦାଃ ସୈନ୍ୟଗଣଂ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକାନାଂ ଫିରୂଶିନାଞ୍ଚ ପଦାତିଗଣଞ୍ଚ ଗୃହୀତ୍ୱା ପ୍ରଦୀପାନ୍ ଉଲ୍କାନ୍ ଅସ୍ତ୍ରାଣି ଚାଦାଯ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ସ୍ଥାନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତୱାନ୍|
Judah then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief cohanim and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
4 ସ୍ୱଂ ପ୍ରତି ଯଦ୍ ଘଟିଷ୍ୟତେ ତଜ୍ ଜ୍ଞାତ୍ୱା ଯୀଶୁରଗ୍ରେସରଃ ସନ୍ ତାନପୃଚ୍ଛତ୍ କଂ ଗୱେଷଯଥ?
Yeshua therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went forth, and said to them, "Who are you looking for?"
5 ତେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱଦନ୍, ନାସରତୀଯଂ ଯୀଶୁଂ; ତତୋ ଯୀଶୁରୱାଦୀଦ୍ ଅହମେୱ ସଃ; ତୈଃ ସହ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତୀ ଯିହୂଦାଶ୍ଚାତିଷ୍ଠତ୍|
They answered him, "Yeshua the Natzrati." Yeshua said to them, "I AM." Judah also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
6 ତଦାହମେୱ ସ ତସ୍ୟୈତାଂ କଥାଂ ଶ୍ରୁତ୍ୱୈୱ ତେ ପଶ୍ଚାଦେତ୍ୟ ଭୂମୌ ପତିତାଃ|
When therefore he said to them, "I AM," they went backward, and fell to the ground.
7 ତତୋ ଯୀଶୁଃ ପୁନରପି ପୃଷ୍ଠୱାନ୍ କଂ ଗୱେଷଯଥ? ତତସ୍ତେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱଦନ୍ ନାସରତୀଯଂ ଯୀଶୁଂ|
Again therefore he asked them, "Who are you looking for?" They said, "Yeshua the Natzrati."
8 ତଦା ଯୀଶୁଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁଦିତୱାନ୍ ଅହମେୱ ସ ଇମାଂ କଥାମଚକଥମ୍; ଯଦି ମାମନ୍ୱିଚ୍ଛଥ ତର୍ହୀମାନ୍ ଗନ୍ତୁଂ ମା ୱାରଯତ|
Yeshua answered, "I told you that I AM. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,"
9 ଇତ୍ଥଂ ଭୂତେ ମହ୍ୟଂ ଯାଲ୍ଲୋକାନ୍ ଅଦଦାସ୍ତେଷାମ୍ ଏକମପି ନାହାରଯମ୍ ଇମାଂ ଯାଂ କଥାଂ ସ ସ୍ୱଯମକଥଯତ୍ ସା କଥା ସଫଲା ଜାତା|
that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, "Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none."
10 ତଦା ଶିମୋନ୍ପିତରସ୍ୟ ନିକଟେ ଖଙ୍ଗଲ୍ସ୍ଥିତେଃ ସ ତଂ ନିଷ୍କୋଷଂ କୃତ୍ୱା ମହାଯାଜକସ୍ୟ ମାଲ୍ଖନାମାନଂ ଦାସମ୍ ଆହତ୍ୟ ତସ୍ୟ ଦକ୍ଷିଣକର୍ଣଂ ଛିନ୍ନୱାନ୍|
Shim'on Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, and struck the cohen hagadol's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
11 ତତୋ ଯୀଶୁଃ ପିତରମ୍ ଅୱଦତ୍, ଖଙ୍ଗଂ କୋଷେ ସ୍ଥାପଯ ମମ ପିତା ମହ୍ୟଂ ପାତୁଂ ଯଂ କଂସମ୍ ଅଦଦାତ୍ ତେନାହଂ କିଂ ନ ପାସ୍ୟାମି?
Yeshua therefore said to Peter, "Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?"
12 ତଦା ସୈନ୍ୟଗଣଃ ସେନାପତି ର୍ୟିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ପଦାତଯଶ୍ଚ ଯୀଶୁଂ ଘୃତ୍ୱା ବଦ୍ଧ୍ୱା ହାନନ୍ନାମ୍ନଃ କିଯଫାଃ ଶ୍ୱଶୁରସ୍ୟ ସମୀପଂ ପ୍ରଥମମ୍ ଅନଯନ୍|
So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jewish leaders, seized Yeshua and bound him,
13 ସ କିଯଫାସ୍ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ୱତ୍ସରେ ମହାଯାଜତ୍ୱପଦେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତଃ
and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was cohen hagadol that year.
14 ସନ୍ ସାଧାରଣଲୋକାନାଂ ମଙ୍ଗଲାର୍ଥମ୍ ଏକଜନସ୍ୟ ମରଣମୁଚିତମ୍ ଇତି ଯିହୂଦୀଯୈଃ ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧମ୍ ଅମନ୍ତ୍ରଯତ୍|
Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jewish leaders that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
15 ତଦା ଶିମୋନ୍ପିତରୋଽନ୍ୟୈକଶିଷ୍ୟଶ୍ଚ ଯୀଶୋଃ ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ ଅଗଚ୍ଛତାଂ ତସ୍ୟାନ୍ୟଶିଷ୍ୟସ୍ୟ ମହାଯାଜକେନ ପରିଚିତତ୍ୱାତ୍ ସ ଯୀଶୁନା ସହ ମହାଯାଜକସ୍ୟାଟ୍ଟାଲିକାଂ ପ୍ରାୱିଶତ୍|
Shim'on Peter followed Yeshua, as did another talmid. Now that talmid was known to the cohen hagadol, and entered in with Yeshua into the court of the cohen hagadol;
16 କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତରୋ ବହିର୍ଦ୍ୱାରସ୍ୟ ସମୀପେଽତିଷ୍ଠଦ୍ ଅତଏୱ ମହାଯାଜକେନ ପରିଚିତଃ ସ ଶିଷ୍ୟଃ ପୁନର୍ବହିର୍ଗତ୍ୱା ଦୌୱାଯିକାଯୈ କଥଯିତ୍ୱା ପିତରମ୍ ଅଭ୍ୟନ୍ତରମ୍ ଆନଯତ୍|
but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other talmid, who was known to the cohen hagadol, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter.
17 ତଦା ସ ଦ୍ୱାରରକ୍ଷିକା ପିତରମ୍ ଅୱଦତ୍ ତ୍ୱଂ କିଂ ନ ତସ୍ୟ ମାନୱସ୍ୟ ଶିଷ୍ୟଃ? ତତଃ ସୋୱଦଦ୍ ଅହଂ ନ ଭୱାମି|
Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, "Are you also one of this man's talmidim?" He said, "I am not."
18 ତତଃ ପରଂ ଯତ୍ସ୍ଥାନେ ଦାସାଃ ପଦାତଯଶ୍ଚ ଶୀତହେତୋରଙ୍ଗାରୈ ର୍ୱହ୍ନିଂ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱାଲ୍ୟ ତାପଂ ସେୱିତୱନ୍ତସ୍ତତ୍ସ୍ଥାନେ ପିତରସ୍ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ ତୈଃ ସହ ୱହ୍ନିତାପଂ ସେୱିତୁମ୍ ଆରଭତ|
Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
19 ତଦା ଶିଷ୍ୟେଷୂପଦେଶେ ଚ ମହାଯାଜକେନ ଯୀଶୁଃ ପୃଷ୍ଟଃ
The cohen hagadol therefore asked Yeshua about his talmidim, and about his teaching.
20 ସନ୍ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁକ୍ତୱାନ୍ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱଲୋକାନାଂ ସମକ୍ଷଂ କଥାମକଥଯଂ ଗୁପ୍ତଂ କାମପି କଥାଂ ନ କଥଯିତ୍ୱା ଯତ୍ ସ୍ଥାନଂ ଯିହୂଦୀଯାଃ ସତତଂ ଗଚ୍ଛନ୍ତି ତତ୍ର ଭଜନଗେହେ ମନ୍ଦିରେ ଚାଶିକ୍ଷଯଂ|
Yeshua answered him, "I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues, and in the temple, where all the Jewish people come together. I said nothing in secret.
21 ମତ୍ତଃ କୁତଃ ପୃଚ୍ଛସି? ଯେ ଜନା ମଦୁପଦେଶମ୍ ଅଶୃଣ୍ୱନ୍ ତାନେୱ ପୃଚ୍ଛ ଯଦ୍ୟଦ୍ ଅୱଦଂ ତେ ତତ୍ ଜାନିନ୍ତ|
Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard what I spoke to them; surely they know what I said."
22 ତଦେତ୍ଥଂ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁଦିତତ୍ୱାତ୍ ନିକଟସ୍ଥପଦାତି ର୍ୟୀଶୁଂ ଚପେଟେନାହତ୍ୟ ୱ୍ୟାହରତ୍ ମହାଯାଜକମ୍ ଏୱଂ ପ୍ରତିୱଦସି?
When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Yeshua with his hand, saying, "Do you answer the cohen hagadol like that?"
23 ତତୋ ଯୀଶୁଃ ପ୍ରତିଗଦିତୱାନ୍ ଯଦ୍ୟଯଥାର୍ଥମ୍ ଅଚକଥଂ ତର୍ହି ତସ୍ୟାଯଥାର୍ଥସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରମାଣଂ ଦେହି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଯଥାର୍ଥଂ ତର୍ହି କୁତୋ ହେତୋ ର୍ମାମ୍ ଅତାଡଯଃ?
Yeshua answered him, "If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?"
24 ପୂର୍ୱ୍ୱଂ ହାନନ୍ ସବନ୍ଧନଂ ତଂ କିଯଫାମହାଯାଜକସ୍ୟ ସମୀପଂ ପ୍ରୈଷଯତ୍|
Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the cohen hagadol.
25 ଶିମୋନ୍ପିତରସ୍ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ ୱହ୍ନିତାପଂ ସେୱତେ, ଏତସ୍ମିନ୍ ସମଯେ କିଯନ୍ତସ୍ତମ୍ ଅପୃଚ୍ଛନ୍ ତ୍ୱଂ କିମ୍ ଏତସ୍ୟ ଜନସ୍ୟ ଶିଷ୍ୟୋ ନ? ତତଃ ସୋପହ୍ନୁତ୍ୟାବ୍ରୱୀଦ୍ ଅହଂ ନ ଭୱାମି|
Now Shim'on Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, "You are not also one of his talmidim, are you?" He denied it, and said, "I am not."
26 ତଦା ମହାଯାଜକସ୍ୟ ଯସ୍ୟ ଦାସସ୍ୟ ପିତରଃ କର୍ଣମଚ୍ଛିନତ୍ ତସ୍ୟ କୁଟୁମ୍ବଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁଦିତୱାନ୍ ଉଦ୍ୟାନେ ତେନ ସହ ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ତଂ ତ୍ୱାଂ କିଂ ନାପଶ୍ୟଂ?
One of the servants of the cohen hagadol, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, "Did I not see you in the garden with him?"
27 କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତରଃ ପୁନରପହ୍ନୁତ୍ୟ କଥିତୱାନ୍; ତଦାନୀଂ କୁକ୍କୁଟୋଽରୌତ୍|
Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.
28 ତଦନନ୍ତରଂ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୂଷେ ତେ କିଯଫାଗୃହାଦ୍ ଅଧିପତେ ର୍ଗୃହଂ ଯୀଶୁମ୍ ଅନଯନ୍ କିନ୍ତୁ ଯସ୍ମିନ୍ ଅଶୁଚିତ୍ୱେ ଜାତେ ତୈ ର୍ନିସ୍ତାରୋତ୍ସୱେ ନ ଭୋକ୍ତୱ୍ୟଂ, ତସ୍ୟ ଭଯାଦ୍ ଯିହୂଦୀଯାସ୍ତଦ୍ଗୃହଂ ନାୱିଶନ୍|
They led Yeshua therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves did not enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.
29 ଅପରଂ ପୀଲାତୋ ବହିରାଗତ୍ୟ ତାନ୍ ପୃଷ୍ଠୱାନ୍ ଏତସ୍ୟ ମନୁଷ୍ୟସ୍ୟ କଂ ଦୋଷଂ ୱଦଥ?
Pilate therefore went out to them, and said, "What accusation do you bring against this man?"
30 ତଦା ତେ ପେତ୍ୟୱଦନ୍ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ୍ମକାରିଣି ନ ସତି ଭୱତଃ ସମୀପେ ନୈନଂ ସମାର୍ପଯିଷ୍ୟାମଃ|
They answered him, "If this man weren't an evildoer, we would not have delivered him up to you."
31 ତତଃ ପୀଲାତୋଽୱଦଦ୍ ଯୂଯମେନଂ ଗୃହୀତ୍ୱା ସ୍ୱେଷାଂ ୱ୍ୟୱସ୍ଥଯା ୱିଚାରଯତ| ତଦା ଯିହୂଦୀଯାଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱଦନ୍ କସ୍ୟାପି ମନୁଷ୍ୟସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡଂ କର୍ତ୍ତୁଂ ନାସ୍ମାକମ୍ ଅଧିକାରୋଽସ୍ତି|
Pilate therefore said to them, "Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law." Therefore the Jewish leaders said to him, "It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,"
32 ଏୱଂ ସତି ଯୀଶୁଃ ସ୍ୱସ୍ୟ ମୃତ୍ୟୌ ଯାଂ କଥାଂ କଥିତୱାନ୍ ସା ସଫଲାଭୱତ୍|
that the word of Yeshua might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
33 ତଦନନ୍ତରଂ ପୀଲାତଃ ପୁନରପି ତଦ୍ ରାଜଗୃହଂ ଗତ୍ୱା ଯୀଶୁମାହୂଯ ପୃଷ୍ଟୱାନ୍ ତ୍ୱଂ କିଂ ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ରାଜା?
Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Yeshua, and said to him, "Are you the King of the Jews?"
34 ଯୀଶୁଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱଦତ୍ ତ୍ୱମ୍ ଏତାଂ କଥାଂ ସ୍ୱତଃ କଥଯସି କିମନ୍ୟଃ କଶ୍ଚିନ୍ ମଯି କଥିତୱାନ୍?
Yeshua answered him, "Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?"
35 ପୀଲାତୋଽୱଦଦ୍ ଅହଂ କିଂ ଯିହୂଦୀଯଃ? ତୱ ସ୍ୱଦେଶୀଯା ୱିଶେଷତଃ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକା ମମ ନିକଟେ ତ୍ୱାଂ ସମାର୍ପଯନ, ତ୍ୱଂ କିଂ କୃତୱାନ୍?
Pilate answered, "I'm not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief cohanim delivered you to me. What have you done?"
36 ଯୀଶୁଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୱଦତ୍ ମମ ରାଜ୍ୟମ୍ ଏତଜ୍ଜଗତ୍ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀଯଂ ନ ଭୱତି ଯଦି ମମ ରାଜ୍ୟଂ ଜଗତ୍ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀଯମ୍ ଅଭୱିଷ୍ୟତ୍ ତର୍ହି ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ହସ୍ତେଷୁ ଯଥା ସମର୍ପିତୋ ନାଭୱଂ ତଦର୍ଥଂ ମମ ସେୱକା ଅଯୋତ୍ସ୍ୟନ୍ କିନ୍ତୁ ମମ ରାଜ୍ୟମ୍ ଐହିକଂ ନ|
Yeshua answered, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I would not be delivered to the Jewish leaders. But now my Kingdom is not from here."
37 ତଦା ପୀଲାତଃ କଥିତୱାନ୍, ତର୍ହି ତ୍ୱଂ ରାଜା ଭୱସି? ଯୀଶୁଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁକ୍ତୱାନ୍ ତ୍ୱଂ ସତ୍ୟଂ କଥଯସି, ରାଜାହଂ ଭୱାମି; ସତ୍ୟତାଯାଂ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଂ ଦାତୁଂ ଜନିଂ ଗୃହୀତ୍ୱା ଜଗତ୍ୟସ୍ମିନ୍ ଅୱତୀର୍ଣୱାନ୍, ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ସତ୍ୟଧର୍ମ୍ମପକ୍ଷପାତିନୋ ମମ କଥାଂ ଶୃଣ୍ୱନ୍ତି|
Pilate therefore said to him, "Are you a king then?" Yeshua answered, "You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."
38 ତଦା ସତ୍ୟଂ କିଂ? ଏତାଂ କଥାଂ ପଷ୍ଟ୍ୱା ପୀଲାତଃ ପୁନରପି ବହିର୍ଗତ୍ୱା ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନ୍ ଅଭାଷତ, ଅହଂ ତସ୍ୟ କମପ୍ୟପରାଧଂ ନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ନୋମି|
Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" When he had said this, he went out again to the Jewish leaders, and said to them, "I find no basis for a charge against him.
39 ନିସ୍ତାରୋତ୍ସୱସମଯେ ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭିରଭିରୁଚିତ ଏକୋ ଜନୋ ମଯା ମୋଚଯିତୱ୍ୟ ଏଷା ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ରୀତିରସ୍ତି, ଅତଏୱ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ନିକଟେ ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ରାଜାନଂ କିଂ ମୋଚଯାମି, ଯୁଷ୍ମାକମ୍ ଇଚ୍ଛା କା?
But you have a custom, that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?"
40 ତଦା ତେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ରୁୱନ୍ତୋ ୱ୍ୟାହରନ୍ ଏନଂ ମାନୁଷଂ ନହି ବରବ୍ବାଂ ମୋଚଯ| କିନ୍ତୁ ସ ବରବ୍ବା ଦସ୍ୟୁରାସୀତ୍|
Then they shouted again, saying, "Not this man, but Barabbas." Now Barabbas was a robber.
