୧ କରିନ୍ଥିନଃ 14
1 ଯୂଯଂ ପ୍ରେମାଚରଣେ ପ୍ରଯତଧ୍ୱମ୍ ଆତ୍ମିକାନ୍ ଦାଯାନପି ୱିଶେଷତ ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶକଥନସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତୁଂ ଚେଷ୍ଟଧ୍ୱଂ|
Follow after love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
2 ଯୋ ଜନଃ ପରଭାଷାଂ ଭାଷତେ ସ ମାନୁଷାନ୍ ନ ସମ୍ଭାଷତେ କିନ୍ତ୍ୱୀଶ୍ୱରମେୱ ଯତଃ କେନାପି କିମପି ନ ବୁଧ୍ୟତେ ସ ଚାତ୍ମନା ନିଗୂଢୱାକ୍ୟାନି କଥଯତି;
For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God, for no one understands, but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.
3 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୋ ଜନ ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶଂ କଥଯତି ସ ପରେଷାଂ ନିଷ୍ଠାଯୈ ହିତୋପଦେଶାଯ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନାଯୈ ଚ ଭାଷତେ|
But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, exhortation, and consolation.
4 ପରଭାଷାୱାଦ୍ୟାତ୍ମନ ଏୱ ନିଷ୍ଠାଂ ଜନଯତି କିନ୍ତ୍ୱୀଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶୱାଦୀ ସମିତେ ର୍ନିଷ୍ଠାଂ ଜନଯତି|
He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly.
5 ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଷାଂ ପରଭାଷାଭାଷଣମ୍ ଇଚ୍ଛାମ୍ୟହଂ କିନ୍ତ୍ୱୀଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶକଥନମ୍ ଅଧିକମପୀଚ୍ଛାମି| ଯତଃ ସମିତେ ର୍ନିଷ୍ଠାଯୈ ଯେନ ସ୍ୱୱାକ୍ୟାନାମ୍ ଅର୍ଥୋ ନ କ୍ରିଯତେ ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ପରଭାଷାୱାଦିତ ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶୱାଦୀ ଶ୍ରେଯାନ୍|
Now I desire to have you all speak with other languages, but even more that you would prophesy. For he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the assembly may be built up.
6 ହେ ଭ୍ରାତରଃ, ଇଦାନୀଂ ମଯା ଯଦି ଯୁଷ୍ମତ୍ସମୀପଂ ଗମ୍ୟତେ ତର୍ହୀଶ୍ୱରୀଯଦର୍ଶନସ୍ୟ ଜ୍ଞାନସ୍ୟ ୱେଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶସ୍ୟ ୱା ଶିକ୍ଷାଯା ୱା ୱାକ୍ୟାନି ନ ଭାଷିତ୍ୱା ପରଭାଷାଂ ଭାଷମାଣେନ ମଯା ଯୂଯଂ କିମୁପକାରିଷ୍ୟଧ୍ୱେ?
But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
7 ଅପରଂ ୱଂଶୀୱଲ୍ଲକ୍ୟାଦିଷୁ ନିଷ୍ପ୍ରାଣିଷୁ ୱାଦ୍ୟଯନ୍ତ୍ରେଷୁ ୱାଦିତେଷୁ ଯଦି କ୍କଣା ନ ୱିଶିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ ତର୍ହି କିଂ ୱାଦ୍ୟଂ କିଂ ୱା ଗାନଂ ଭୱତି ତତ୍ କେନ ବୋଦ୍ଧୁଂ ଶକ୍ୟତେ?
Even lifeless things that make a sound, whether pipe or harp, if they didn’t give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped?
8 ଅପରଂ ରଣତୂର୍ୟ୍ୟା ନିସ୍ୱଣୋ ଯଦ୍ୟୱ୍ୟକ୍ତୋ ଭୱେତ୍ ତର୍ହି ଯୁଦ୍ଧାଯ କଃ ସଜ୍ଜିଷ୍ୟତେ?
For if the shofar gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war?
9 ତଦ୍ୱତ୍ ଜିହ୍ୱାଭି ର୍ୟଦି ସୁଗମ୍ୟା ୱାକ୍ ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭି ର୍ନ ଗଦ୍ୟେତ ତର୍ହି ଯଦ୍ ଗଦ୍ୟତେ ତତ୍ କେନ ଭୋତ୍ସ୍ୟତେ? ୱସ୍ତୁତୋ ଯୂଯଂ ଦିଗାଲାପିନ ଇୱ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଥ|
So also you, unless you uttered by the tongue words easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air.
10 ଜଗତି କତିପ୍ରକାରା ଉକ୍ତଯୋ ୱିଦ୍ୟନ୍ତେ? ତାସାମେକାପି ନିରର୍ଥିକା ନହି;
There are, it may be, so many kinds of languages in the world, and none of them is without meaning.
11 କିନ୍ତୂକ୍ତେରର୍ଥୋ ଯଦି ମଯା ନ ବୁଧ୍ୟତେ ତର୍ହ୍ୟହଂ ୱକ୍ତ୍ରା ମ୍ଲେଚ୍ଛ ଇୱ ମଂସ୍ୟେ ୱକ୍ତାପି ମଯା ମ୍ଲେଚ୍ଛ ଇୱ ମଂସ୍ୟତେ|
If then I don’t know the meaning of the language, I would be to him who speaks a foreigner, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me.
12 ତସ୍ମାଦ୍ ଆତ୍ମିକଦାଯଲିପ୍ସୱୋ ଯୂଯଂ ସମିତେ ର୍ନିଷ୍ଠାର୍ଥଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତବହୁୱରା ଭୱିତୁଂ ଯତଧ୍ୱଂ,
So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the building up of the assembly.
13 ଅତଏୱ ପରଭାଷାୱାଦୀ ଯଦ୍ ଅର୍ଥକରୋଽପି ଭୱେତ୍ ତତ୍ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥଯତାଂ|
Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.
14 ଯଦ୍ୟହଂ ପରଭାଷଯା ପ୍ରର୍ଥନାଂ କୁର୍ୟ୍ୟାଂ ତର୍ହି ମଦୀଯ ଆତ୍ମା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥଯତେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମମ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ର୍ନିଷ୍ଫଲା ତିଷ୍ଠତି|
For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 ଇତ୍ୟନେନ କିଂ କରଣୀଯଂ? ଅହମ୍ ଆତ୍ମନା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥଯିଷ୍ୟେ ବୁଦ୍ଧ୍ୟାପି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥଯିଷ୍ୟେ; ଅପରଂ ଆତ୍ମନା ଗାସ୍ୟାମି ବୁଦ୍ଧ୍ୟାପି ଗାସ୍ୟାମି|
What should I do? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16 ତ୍ୱଂ ଯଦାତ୍ମନା ଧନ୍ୟୱାଦଂ କରୋଷି ତଦା ଯଦ୍ ୱଦସି ତଦ୍ ଯଦି ଶିଷ୍ୟେନେୱୋପସ୍ଥିତେନ ଜନେନ ନ ବୁଦ୍ଧ୍ୟତେ ତର୍ହି ତୱ ଧନ୍ୟୱାଦସ୍ୟାନ୍ତେ ତଥାସ୍ତ୍ୱିତି ତେନ ୱକ୍ତଂ କଥଂ ଶକ୍ୟତେ?
Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the “Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn’t know what you say?
17 ତ୍ୱଂ ସମ୍ୟଗ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରଂ ଧନ୍ୟଂ ୱଦସୀତି ସତ୍ୟଂ ତଥାପି ତତ୍ର ପରସ୍ୟ ନିଷ୍ଠା ନ ଭୱତି|
For you most certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.
18 ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଭ୍ୟୋଽହଂ ପରଭାଷାଭାଷଣେ ସମର୍ଥୋଽସ୍ମୀତି କାରଣାଦ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରଂ ଧନ୍ୟଂ ୱଦାମି;
I thank my God, I speak with other languages more than you all.
19 ତଥାପି ସମିତୌ ପରୋପଦେଶାର୍ଥଂ ମଯା କଥିତାନି ପଞ୍ଚ ୱାକ୍ୟାନି ୱରଂ ନ ଚ ଲକ୍ଷଂ ପରଭାଷୀଯାନି ୱାକ୍ୟାନି|
However, in the assembly I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
20 ହେ ଭ୍ରାତରଃ, ଯୂଯଂ ବୁଦ୍ଧ୍ୟା ବାଲକାଇୱ ମା ଭୂତ ପରନ୍ତୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟତଯା ଶିଶୱଇୱ ଭୂତ୍ୱା ବୁଦ୍ଧ୍ୟା ସିଦ୍ଧା ଭୱତ|
Brothers, don’t be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
21 ଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ଇଦଂ ଲିଖିତମାସ୍ତେ, ଯଥା, ଇତ୍ୟୱୋଚତ୍ ପରେଶୋଽହମ୍ ଆଭାଷିଷ୍ୟ ଇମାନ୍ ଜନାନ୍| ଭାଷାଭିଃ ପରକୀଯାଭି ର୍ୱକ୍ତ୍ରୈଶ୍ଚ ପରଦେଶିଭିଃ| ତଥା ମଯା କୃତେଽପୀମେ ନ ଗ୍ରହୀଷ୍ୟନ୍ତି ମଦ୍ୱଚଃ||
In the law it is written, “By men of strange languages and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people. They won’t even listen to me that way, says the Lord.”
22 ଅତଏୱ ତତ୍ ପରଭାଷାଭାଷଣଂ ଅୱିଶ୍ଚାସିନଃ ପ୍ରତି ଚିହ୍ନରୂପଂ ଭୱତି ନ ଚ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସିନଃ ପ୍ରତି; କିନ୍ତ୍ୱୀଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶକଥନଂ ନାୱିଶ୍ୱାସିନଃ ପ୍ରତି ତଦ୍ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସିନଃ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେୱ|
Therefore other languages are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to the unbelieving; but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to those who believe.
23 ସମିତିଭୁକ୍ତେଷୁ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଷୁ ଏକସ୍ମିନ୍ ସ୍ଥାନେ ମିଲିତ୍ୱା ପରଭାଷାଂ ଭାଷମାଣେଷୁ ଯଦି ଜ୍ଞାନାକାଙ୍କ୍ଷିଣୋଽୱିଶ୍ୱାସିନୋ ୱା ତତ୍ରାଗଚ୍ଛେଯୁସ୍ତର୍ହି ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ଉନ୍ମତ୍ତାନ୍ କିଂ ନ ୱଦିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତି?
If therefore the whole assembly is assembled together and all speak with other languages, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won’t they say that you are crazy?
24 କିନ୍ତୁ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଷ୍ୱୀଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶଂ ପ୍ରକାଶଯତ୍ସୁ ଯଦ୍ୟୱିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଜ୍ଞାନାକାଙ୍କ୍ଷୀ ୱା କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ତତ୍ରାଗଚ୍ଛତି ତର୍ହି ସର୍ୱ୍ୱୈରେୱ ତସ୍ୟ ପାପଜ୍ଞାନଂ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଚ ଜାଯତେ,
But if all prophesy, and someone unbelieving or unlearned comes in, he is reproved by all, and he is judged by all.
25 ତତସ୍ତସ୍ୟାନ୍ତଃକରଣସ୍ୟ ଗୁପ୍ତକଲ୍ପନାସୁ ୱ୍ୟକ୍ତୀଭୂତାସୁ ସୋଽଧୋମୁଖଃ ପତନ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରମାରାଧ୍ୟ ଯୁଷ୍ମନ୍ମଧ୍ୟ ଈଶ୍ୱରୋ ୱିଦ୍ୟତେ ଇତି ସତ୍ୟଂ କଥାମେତାଂ କଥଯିଷ୍ୟତି|
And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
26 ହେ ଭ୍ରାତରଃ, ସମ୍ମିଲିତାନାଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକମ୍ ଏକେନ ଗୀତମ୍ ଅନ୍ୟେନୋପଦେଶୋଽନ୍ୟେନ ପରଭାଷାନ୍ୟେନ ଐଶ୍ୱରିକଦର୍ଶନମ୍ ଅନ୍ୟେନାର୍ଥବୋଧକଂ ୱାକ୍ୟଂ ଲଭ୍ୟତେ କିମେତତ୍? ସର୍ୱ୍ୱମେୱ ପରନିଷ୍ଠାର୍ଥଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭିଃ କ୍ରିଯତାଂ|
What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, or has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.
27 ଯଦି କଶ୍ଚିଦ୍ ଭାଷାନ୍ତରଂ ୱିୱକ୍ଷତି ତର୍ହ୍ୟେକସ୍ମିନ୍ ଦିନେ ଦ୍ୱିଜନେନ ତ୍ରିଜନେନ ୱା ପରଭାଷା କଥ୍ୟତାଂ ତଦଧିକୈର୍ନ କଥ୍ୟତାଂ ତୈରପି ପର୍ୟ୍ୟାଯାନୁସାରାତ୍ କଥ୍ୟତାଂ, ଏକେନ ଚ ତଦର୍ଥୋ ବୋଧ୍ୟତାଂ|
If any man speaks in another language, let there be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret.
28 କିନ୍ତ୍ୱର୍ଥାଭିଧାଯକଃ କୋଽପି ଯଦି ନ ୱିଦ୍ୟତେ ତର୍ହି ସ ସମିତୌ ୱାଚଂଯମଃ ସ୍ଥିତ୍ୱେଶ୍ୱରାଯାତ୍ମନେ ଚ କଥାଂ କଥଯତୁ|
But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the assembly, and let him speak to himself and to God.
29 ଅପରଂ ଦ୍ୱୌ ତ୍ରଯୋ ୱେଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶୱକ୍ତାରଃ ସ୍ୱଂ ସ୍ୱମାଦେଶଂ କଥଯନ୍ତୁ ତଦନ୍ୟେ ଚ ତଂ ୱିଚାରଯନ୍ତୁ|
Let two or three of the prophets speak, and let the others discern.
30 କିନ୍ତୁ ତତ୍ରାପରେଣ କେନଚିତ୍ ଜନେନେଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶେ ଲବ୍ଧେ ପ୍ରଥମେନ କଥନାତ୍ ନିୱର୍ତ୍ତିତୱ୍ୟଂ|
But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent.
31 ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ଯତ୍ ଶିକ୍ଷାଂ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନାଞ୍ଚ ଲଭନ୍ତେ ତଦର୍ଥଂ ଯୂଯଂ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ପର୍ୟ୍ୟାଯେଣେଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶଂ କଥଯିତୁଂ ଶକ୍ନୁଥ|
For you all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be exhorted.
32 ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶୱକ୍ତୃଣାଂ ମନାଂସି ତେଷାମ୍ ଅଧୀନାନି ଭୱନ୍ତି|
The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,
33 ଯତ ଈଶ୍ୱରଃ କୁଶାସନଜନକୋ ନହି ସୁଶାସନଜନକ ଏୱେତି ପୱିତ୍ରଲୋକାନାଂ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱସମିତିଷୁ ପ୍ରକାଶତେ|
for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the holy ones.
34 ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ୱନିତାଃ ସମିତିଷୁ ତୂଷ୍ଣୀମ୍ଭୂତାସ୍ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ତୁ ଯତଃ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରଲିଖିତେନ ୱିଧିନା ତାଃ କଥାପ୍ରଚାରଣାତ୍ ନିୱାରିତାସ୍ତାଭି ର୍ନିଘ୍ରାଭି ର୍ଭୱିତୱ୍ୟଂ|
Let the wives be quiet in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to be talking except in submission, as the law also says,
35 ଅତସ୍ତା ଯଦି କିମପି ଜିଜ୍ଞାସନ୍ତେ ତର୍ହି ଗେହେଷୁ ପତୀନ୍ ପୃଚ୍ଛନ୍ତୁ ଯତଃ ସମିତିମଧ୍ୟେ ଯୋଷିତାଂ କଥାକଥନଂ ନିନ୍ଦନୀଯଂ|
if they desire to learn anything. “Let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a wife to be talking in the assembly.”
36 ଐଶ୍ୱରଂ ୱଚଃ କିଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମତ୍ତୋ ନିରଗମତ? କେୱଲଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ୱା ତତ୍ କିମ୍ ଉପାଗତଂ?
What!? Was it from you that the word of God went out? Or did it come to you alone?
37 ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିଦ୍ ଆତ୍ମାନମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶୱକ୍ତାରମ୍ ଆତ୍ମନାୱିଷ୍ଟଂ ୱା ମନ୍ୟତେ ସ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ପ୍ରତି ମଯା ଯଦ୍ ଯତ୍ ଲିଖ୍ୟତେ ତତ୍ପ୍ରଭୁନାଜ୍ଞାପିତମ୍ ଈତ୍ୟୁରରୀ କରୋତୁ|
If any man thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
38 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ଅଜ୍ଞୋ ଭୱତି ସୋଽଜ୍ଞ ଏୱ ତିଷ୍ଠତୁ|
But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.
39 ଅତଏୱ ହେ ଭ୍ରାତରଃ, ଯୂଯମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯାଦେଶକଥନସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟଂ ଲବ୍ଧୁଂ ଯତଧ୍ୱଂ ପରଭାଷାଭାଷଣମପି ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭି ର୍ନ ନିୱାର୍ୟ୍ୟତାଂ|
Therefore, brothers, desire earnestly to prophesy, and don’t forbid speaking with other languages.
40 ସର୍ୱ୍ୱକର୍ମ୍ମାଣି ଚ ୱିଧ୍ୟନୁସାରତଃ ସୁପରିପାଟ୍ୟା କ୍ରିଯନ୍ତାଂ|
Let all things be done decently and in order.
