തീതഃ 3
1 തേ യഥാ ദേശാധിപാനാം ശാസകാനാഞ്ച നിഘ്നാ ആജ്ഞാഗ്രാഹിൺശ്ച സർവ്വസ്മൈ സത്കർമ്മണേ സുസജ്ജാശ്ച ഭവേയുഃ
Put them in mind to be subject to governments, and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work;
2 കമപി ന നിന്ദേയു ർനിവ്വിരോധിനഃ ക്ഷാന്താശ്ച ഭവേയുഃ സർവ്വാൻ പ്രതി ച പൂർണം മൃദുത്വം പ്രകാശയേയുശ്ചേതി താൻ ആദിശ|
to speak evil of no one; to be no fighters, but equitable, showing all meekness to all men.
3 യതഃ പൂർവ്വം വയമപി നിർബ്ബോധാ അനാജ്ഞാഗ്രാഹിണോ ഭ്രാന്താ നാനാഭിലാഷാണാം സുഖാനാഞ്ച ദാസേയാ ദുഷ്ടത്വേർഷ്യാചാരിണോ ഘൃണിതാഃ പരസ്പരം ദ്വേഷിണശ്ചാഭവാമഃ|
For even we ourselves were formerly foolish, disobedient, erring, slavishly serving diverse inordinate desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 കിന്ത്വസ്മാകം ത്രാതുരീശ്വരസ്യ യാ ദയാ മർത്ത്യാനാം പ്രതി ച യാ പ്രീതിസ്തസ്യാഃ പ്രാദുർഭാവേ ജാതേ
But when the goodness and philanthropy of God our Saviour shone forth,
5 വയമ് ആത്മകൃതേഭ്യോ ധർമ്മകർമ്മഭ്യസ്തന്നഹി കിന്തു തസ്യ കൃപാതഃ പുനർജന്മരൂപേണ പ്രക്ഷാലനേന പ്രവിത്രസ്യാത്മനോ നൂതനീകരണേന ച തസ്മാത് പരിത്രാണാം പ്രാപ്താഃ
he saved us--not on account of works of righteousness which we had done--but according to his own mercy, through the bath of regeneration, and the renewing of the Holy Spirit;
6 സ ചാസ്മാകം ത്രാത്രാ യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടേനാസ്മദുപരി തമ് ആത്മാനം പ്രചുരത്വേന വൃഷ്ടവാൻ|
which he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
that being justified by his favor, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
8 വാക്യമേതദ് വിശ്വസനീയമ് അതോ ഹേതോരീശ്വരേ യേ വിശ്വസിതവന്തസ്തേ യഥാ സത്കർമ്മാണ്യനുതിഷ്ഠേയുസ്തഥാ താൻ ദൃഢമ് ആജ്ഞാപയേതി മമാഭിമതം| താന്യേവോത്തമാനി മാനവേഭ്യഃ ഫലദാനി ച ഭവന്തി|
This doctrine is true: and concerning these, I charge you to affirm strongly, that those who have believed in God, be studious to stand foremost in good works. These are things that are honorable and profitable to men.
9 മൂഢേഭ്യഃ പ്രശ്നവംശാവലിവിവാദേഭ്യോ വ്യവസ്ഥായാ വിതണ്ഡാഭ്യശ്ച നിവർത്തസ്വ യതസ്താ നിഷ്ഫലാ അനർഥകാശ്ച ഭവന്തി|
But foolish questions, and genealogies, and strifes, and fightings about the law, resist; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 യോ ജനോ ബിഭിത്സുസ്തമ് ഏകവാരം ദ്വിർവ്വാ പ്രബോധ്യ ദൂരീകുരു,
A factionist, after a first and second admonition, reject;
11 യതസ്താദൃശോ ജനോ വിപഥഗാമീ പാപിഷ്ഠ ആത്മദോഷകശ്ച ഭവതീതി ത്വയാ ജ്ഞായതാം|
knowing that such a person is perverted, and sins, being self-condemned.
12 യദാഹമ് ആർത്തിമാം തുഖികം വാ തവ സമീപം പ്രേഷയിഷ്യാമി തദാ ത്വം നീകപലൗ മമ സമീപമ് ആഗന്തും യതസ്വ യതസ്തത്രൈവാഹം ശീതകാലം യാപയിതും മതിമ് അകാർഷം|
When I shall send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, make haste to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have determined to winter there.
13 വ്യവസ്ഥാപകഃ സീനാ ആപല്ലുശ്ചൈതയോഃ കസ്യാപ്യഭാവോ യന്ന ഭവേത് തദർഥം തൗ യത്നേന ത്വയാ വിസൃജ്യേതാം|
Diligently help forward on their journey, Zenas, the lawyer, and Apollos, that nothing may be wanting to them.
14 അപരമ് അസ്മദീയലോകാ യന്നിഷ്ഫലാ ന ഭവേയുസ്തദർഥം പ്രയോജനീയോപകാരായാ സത്കർമ്മാണ്യനുഷ്ഠാതും ശിക്ഷന്താം|
And let ours also learn to stand foremost in good works, for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.
15 മമ സങ്ഗിനഃ സവ്വേ ത്വാം നമസ്കുർവ്വതേ| യേ വിശ്വാസാദ് അസ്മാസു പ്രീയന്തേ താൻ നമസ്കുരു; സർവ്വേഷു യുഷ്മാസ്വനുഗ്രഹോ ഭൂയാത്| ആമേൻ|
All who are with me salute you. Salute them who love us in the faith. Favor be with you all.
