1 യത് പ്രകാശിതം വാക്യമ് ഈശ്വരഃ സ്വദാസാനാം നികടം ശീഘ്രമുപസ്ഥാസ്യന്തീനാം ഘടനാനാം ദർശനാർഥം യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടേ സമർപിതവാൻ തത് സ സ്വീയദൂതം പ്രേഷ്യ നിജസേവകം യോഹനം ജ്ഞാപിതവാൻ|
This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what will happen soon. He sent his angel to reveal it to his servant John
2 സ ചേശ്വരസ്യ വാക്യേ ഖ്രീഷ്ടസ്യ സാക്ഷ്യേ ച യദ്യദ് ദൃഷ്ടവാൻ തസ്യ പ്രമാണം ദത്തവാൻ|
who confirmed everything he saw concerning the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
3 ഏതസ്യ ഭവിഷ്യദ്വക്തൃഗ്രന്ഥസ്യ വാക്യാനാം പാഠകഃ ശ്രോതാരശ്ച തന്മധ്യേ ലിഖിതാജ്ഞാഗ്രാഹിണശ്ച ധന്യാ യതഃ സ കാലഃ സന്നികടഃ|
Anyone who reads this is blessed, as are those who hear these prophetic words and pay attention to what's written, because the time is near.
4 യോഹൻ ആശിയാദേശസ്ഥാഃ സപ്ത സമിതീഃ പ്രതി പത്രം ലിഖതി| യോ വർത്തമാനോ ഭൂതോ ഭവിഷ്യംശ്ച യേ ച സപ്താത്മാനസ്തസ്യ സിംഹാസനസ്യ സമ്മുഖേ തിഷ്ഠന്തി
This letter comes from John and is sent to the seven churches in the province of Asia. May you have grace and peace from the one who was, who is, and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits before his throne,
5 യശ്ച യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടോ വിശ്വസ്തഃ സാക്ഷീ മൃതാനാം മധ്യേ പ്രഥമജാതോ ഭൂമണ്ഡലസ്ഥരാജാനാമ് അധിപതിശ്ച ഭവതി, ഏതേഭ്യോ ഽനുഗ്രഹഃ ശാന്തിശ്ച യുഷ്മാസു വർത്തതാം|
and from Jesus Christ the trustworthy witness, the firstborn from the dead, the ruler of earthly kings. To Jesus who loves us and freed us from our sins by his blood,
6 യോ ഽസ്മാസു പ്രീതവാൻ സ്വരുധിരേണാസ്മാൻ സ്വപാപേഭ്യഃ പ്രക്ഷാലിതവാൻ തസ്യ പിതുരീശ്വരസ്യ യാജകാൻ കൃത്വാസ്മാൻ രാജവർഗേ നിയുക്തവാംശ്ച തസ്മിൻ മഹിമാ പരാക്രമശ്ചാനന്തകാലം യാവദ് വർത്തതാം| ആമേൻ| (aiōn g165)
who made us into his kingdom, priests to his God and Father—to Jesus be glory and authority for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 പശ്യത സ മേഘൈരാഗച്ഛതി തേനൈകൈകസ്യ ചക്ഷുസ്തം ദ്രക്ഷ്യതി യേ ച തം വിദ്ധവന്തസ്തേ ഽപി തം വിലോകിഷ്യന്തേ തസ്യ കൃതേ പൃഥിവീസ്ഥാഃ സർവ്വേ വംശാ വിലപിഷ്യന്തി| സത്യമ് ആമേൻ|
Look, he is coming surrounded by clouds, and everybody shall see him, even those who killed him. All the peoples of the earth will weep because of him. May it be so! Amen.
8 വർത്തമാനോ ഭൂതോ ഭവിഷ്യംശ്ച യഃ സർവ്വശക്തിമാൻ പ്രഭുഃ പരമേശ്വരഃ സ ഗദതി, അഹമേവ കഃ ക്ഷശ്ചാർഥത ആദിരന്തശ്ച|
“I am the Beginning and the End,” says the All-powerful Lord God, who was, who is, and who is to come.
9 യുഷ്മാകം ഭ്രാതാ യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടസ്യ ക്ലേശരാജ്യതിതിക്ഷാണാം സഹഭാഗീ ചാഹം യോഹൻ ഈശ്വരസ്യ വാക്യഹേതോ ര്യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടസ്യ സാക്ഷ്യഹേതോശ്ച പാത്മനാമക ഉപദ്വീപ ആസം|
I am John, your brother who shares with you in the suffering and in the kingdom and in the patient waiting that are our experience in Jesus. I was detained on the island of Patmos for sharing the word of God and the truth as revealed by Jesus.
10 തത്ര പ്രഭോ ർദിനേ ആത്മനാവിഷ്ടോ ഽഹം സ്വപശ്ചാത് തൂരീധ്വനിവത് മഹാരവമ് അശ്രൗഷം,
I was filled by the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard a loud voice behind me that sounded like a trumpet.
11 തേനോക്തമ്, അഹം കഃ ക്ഷശ്ചാർഥത ആദിരന്തശ്ച| ത്വം യദ് ദ്രക്ഷ്യസി തദ് ഗ്രന്ഥേ ലിഖിത്വാശിയാദേശസ്ഥാനാം സപ്ത സമിതീനാം സമീപമ് ഇഫിഷം സ്മുർണാം ഥുയാതീരാം സാർദ്ദിം ഫിലാദിൽഫിയാം ലായദീകേയാഞ്ച പ്രേഷയ|
It told me, “Write down in a book what you see and send it to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”
12 തതോ മയാ സമ്ഭാഷമാണസ്യ കസ്യ രവഃ ശ്രൂയതേ തദ്ദർശനാർഥം മുഖം പരാവർത്തിതം തത് പരാവർത്യ സ്വർണമയാഃ സപ്ത ദീപവൃക്ഷാ ദൃഷ്ടാഃ|
I turned round to see who was speaking to me. When I turned I saw seven golden candlesticks,
13 തേഷാം സപ്ത ദീപവൃക്ഷാണാം മധ്യേ ദീർഘപരിച്ഛദപരിഹിതഃ സുവർണശൃങ്ഖലേന വേഷ്ടിതവക്ഷശ്ച മനുഷ്യപുത്രാകൃതിരേകോ ജനസ്തിഷ്ഠതി,
and standing among the candlesticks was someone who looked like a Son of man. He was wearing a robe that reached down to his feet with a golden sash across his chest.
14 തസ്യ ശിരഃ കേശശ്ച ശ്വേതമേഷലോമാനീവ ഹിമവത് ശ്രേതൗ ലോചനേ വഹ്നിശിഖാസമേ
His hair looked like white wool, and his eyes like flaming fire.
15 ചരണൗ വഹ്നികുണ്ഡേതാപിതസുപിത്തലസദൃശൗ രവശ്ച ബഹുതോയാനാം രവതുല്യഃ|
His feet looked like polished brass that had been refined in a furnace. His voice sounded like a thundering waterfall.
16 തസ്യ ദക്ഷിണഹസ്തേ സപ്ത താരാ വിദ്യന്തേ വക്ത്രാച്ച തീക്ഷ്ണോ ദ്വിധാരഃ ഖങ്ഗോ നിർഗച്ഛതി മുഖമണ്ഡലഞ്ച സ്വതേജസാ ദേദീപ്യമാനസ്യ സൂര്യ്യസ്യ സദൃശം|
He was holding seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp double-edged sword came out of his mouth. His face shone like the sun at its brightest.
17 തം ദൃഷ്ട്വാഹം മൃതകൽപസ്തച്ചരണേ പതിതസ്തതഃ സ്വദക്ഷിണകരം മയി നിധായ തേനോക്തമ് മാ ഭൈഷീഃ; അഹമ് ആദിരന്തശ്ച|
When I saw him I fell down at his feet as if I were dead. But he touched me with his right hand and said, “Don't be afraid, I am the first and the last,
19 അതോ യദ് ഭവതി യച്ചേതഃ പരം ഭവിഷ്യതി ത്വയാ ദൃഷ്ടം തത് സർവ്വം ലിഖ്യതാം|
So write down what you've seen—what's happening in the present and what will happen in the future.
20 മമ ദക്ഷിണഹസ്തേ സ്ഥിതാ യാഃ സപ്ത താരാ യേ ച സ്വർണമയാഃ സപ്ത ദീപവൃക്ഷാസ്ത്വയാ ദൃഷ്ടാസ്തത്താത്പര്യ്യമിദം താഃ സപ്ത താരാഃ സപ്ത സമിതീനാം ദൂതാഃ സുവർണമയാഃ സപ്ത ദീപവൃക്ഷാശ്ച സപ്ത സമിതയഃ സന്തി|
The meaning of the seven stars that you saw me holding in my right hand and the seven golden candlesticks is this: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches.”
