យាកូពះ 3
1 ហេ មម ភ្រាតរះ, ឝិក្ឞកៃរស្មាភិ រ្គុរុតរទណ្ឌោ លប្ស្យត ឥតិ ជ្ញាត្វា យូយម៑ អនេកេ ឝិក្ឞកា មា ភវត។
Do not become many teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive a severe sentence.
2 យតះ សវ៌្វេ វយំ ពហុវិឞយេឞុ ស្ខលាមះ, យះ កឝ្ចិទ៑ វាក្យេ ន ស្ខលតិ ស សិទ្ធបុរុឞះ ក្ឫត្ស្នំ វឝីកត៌្តុំ សមត៌្ហឝ្ចាស្តិ។
For in many things we all offend. If any one offend not in the word, he is a perfect man, able to rule, also, the whole body.
3 បឝ្យត វយម៑ អឝ្វាន៑ វឝីកត៌្តុំ តេឞាំ វក្ត្រេឞុ ខលីនាន៑ និធាយ តេឞាំ ក្ឫត្ស្នំ ឝរីរម៑ អនុវត៌្តយាមះ។
Behold, we put bits into the mouths of horses, to make them obedient to us, and we turn about their whole body.
4 បឝ្យត យេ បោតា អតីវ ព្ឫហទាការាះ ប្រចណ្ឌវាតៃឝ្ច ចាលិតាស្តេៜបិ កណ៌ធារស្យ មនោៜភិមតាទ៑ អតិក្ឞុទ្រេណ កណ៌េន វាញ្ឆិតំ ស្ថានំ ប្រត្យនុវត៌្តន្តេ។
Behold, also, the ships, which, though they be so great, and are driven by fierce winds, are turned about by a very small helm, whithersoever the power of the pilot determines:
5 តទ្វទ៑ រសនាបិ ក្ឞុទ្រតរាង្គំ សន្តី ទប៌វាក្យានិ ភាឞតេ។ បឝ្យ កីទ្ឫង្មហារណ្យំ ទហ្យតេ ៜល្បេន វហ្និនា។
so, also, the tongue is a little member, yet it works mightily. Behold, how much wood a little fire kindles!
6 រសនាបិ ភវេទ៑ វហ្និរធម៌្មរូបបិឞ្ដបេ។ អស្មទង្គេឞុ រសនា តាទ្ឫឝំ សន្តិឞ្ឋតិ សា ក្ឫត្ស្នំ ទេហំ កលង្កយតិ ស្ឫឞ្ដិរថស្យ ចក្រំ ប្រជ្វលយតិ នរកានលេន ជ្វលតិ ច។ (Geenna g1067)
Now the tongue is a fire--a world of iniquity; the tongue is so placed among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets the wheel of nature in a blaze, and is set on fire from hell. (Geenna g1067)
7 បឝុបក្ឞ្យុរោគជលចរាណាំ សវ៌្វេឞាំ ស្វភាវោ ទមយិតុំ ឝក្យតេ មានុឞិកស្វភាវេន ទមយាញ្ចក្រេ ច។
Now every species of wild beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of sea monsters, is subdued, and has been subdued by man:
8 កិន្តុ មានវានាំ កេនាបិ ជិហ្វា ទមយិតុំ ន ឝក្យតេ សា ន និវាយ៌្យម៑ អនិឞ្ដំ ហលាហលវិឞេណ បូណ៌ា ច។
but the tongue of men, no one can subdue; it is an unruly evil thing, full of deadly poison.
9 តយា វយំ បិតរម៑ ឦឝ្វរំ ធន្យំ វទាមះ, តយា ចេឝ្វរស្យ សាទ្ឫឝ្យេ ស្ឫឞ្ដាន៑ មានវាន៑ ឝបាមះ។
With it we bless God, even the Father; and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God.
10 ឯកស្មាទ៑ វទនាទ៑ ធន្យវាទឝាបៅ និគ៌ច្ឆតះ។ ហេ មម ភ្រាតរះ, ឯតាទ្ឫឝំ ន កត៌្តវ្យំ។
Out of the same mouth proceed a blessing and a curse! My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 ប្រស្រវណះ កិម៑ ឯកស្មាត៑ ឆិទ្រាត៑ មិឞ្ដំ តិក្តញ្ច តោយំ និគ៌មយតិ?
Does a fountain send forth, from the same opening, sweet water and bitter?
12 ហេ មម ភ្រាតរះ, ឧឌុម្ពរតរុះ កិំ ជិតផលានិ ទ្រាក្ឞាលតា វា កិម៑ ឧឌុម្ពរផលានិ ផលិតុំ ឝក្នោតិ? តទ្វទ៑ ឯកះ ប្រស្រវណោ លវណមិឞ្ដេ តោយេ និគ៌មយិតុំ ន ឝក្នោតិ។
Can a fig-tree, my brethren, produces olives; or a vine, figs? So, no fountain can yield salt water and fresh.
13 យុឞ្មាកំ មធ្យេ ជ្ញានី សុពោធឝ្ច ក អាស្តេ? តស្យ កម៌្មាណិ ជ្ញានមូលកម្ឫទុតាយុក្តានីតិ សទាចារាត៑ ស ប្រមាណយតុ។
Is any one wise and intelligent among you? let him show, by good behavior, his works, with meekness of wisdom.
14 កិន្តុ យុឞ្មទន្តះករណមធ្យេ យទិ តិក្តេឞ៌្យា វិវាទេច្ឆា ច វិទ្យតេ តហ៌ិ សត្យមតស្យ វិរុទ្ធំ ន ឝ្លាឃធ្វំ នចាន្ឫតំ កថយត។
But if you have bitter anger and strife in your heart, do you not boast and lie against the truth?
15 តាទ្ឫឝំ ជ្ញានម៑ ឩទ៌្ធ្វាទ៑ អាគតំ នហិ កិន្តុ បាត៌្ហិវំ ឝរីរិ ភៅតិកញ្ច។
This is not the wisdom which comes from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish:
16 យតោ ហេតោរីឞ៌្យា វិវាទេច្ឆា ច យត្រ វេទ្យេតេ តត្រៃវ កលហះ សវ៌្វំ ទុឞ្ក្ឫតញ្ច វិទ្យតេ។
for where there is anger and strife, there is disorder, and every evil work.
17 កិន្តូទ៌្ធ្វាទ៑ អាគតំ យត៑ ជ្ញានំ តត៑ ប្រថមំ ឝុចិ តតះ បរំ ឝាន្តំ ក្ឞាន្តម៑ អាឝុសន្ធេយំ ទយាទិសត្ផលៃះ បរិបូណ៌ម៑ អសន្ទិគ្ធំ និឞ្កបដញ្ច ភវតិ។
But the wisdom from above is, indeed, first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be persuaded, full of compassion and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 ឝាន្ត្យាចារិភិះ ឝាន្ត្យា ធម៌្មផលំ រោប្យតេ។
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace, by them who practice peace.
