១ តីមថិយះ 5
1 ត្វំ ប្រាចីនំ ន ភត៌្សយ កិន្តុ តំ បិតរមិវ យូនឝ្ច ភ្រាត្ឫនិវ
Chide not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men, as thy brothers;
2 វ្ឫទ្ធាះ ស្ត្រិយឝ្ច មាត្ឫនិវ យុវតីឝ្ច បូណ៌ឝុចិត្វេន ភគិនីរិវ វិនយស្វ។
and the elder women, as mothers; and the younger women, as thy sisters, with all purity.
3 អបរំ សត្យវិធវាះ សម្មន្យស្វ។
Honor widows, who are truly widows.
4 កស្យាឝ្ចិទ៑ វិធវាយា យទិ បុត្រាះ បៅត្រា វា វិទ្យន្តេ តហ៌ិ តេ ប្រថមតះ ស្វីយបរិជនាន៑ សេវិតុំ បិត្រោះ ប្រត្យុបកត៌្តុញ្ច ឝិក្ឞន្តាំ យតស្តទេវេឝ្វរស្យ សាក្ឞាទ៑ ឧត្តមំ គ្រាហ្យញ្ច កម៌្ម។
But if a widow hath children, or grandchildren, let them first learn to show kindness to their own households, and to repay the obligations to their parents; for this is acceptable before God.
5 អបរំ យា នារី សត្យវិធវា នាថហីនា ចាស្តិ សា ឦឝ្វរស្យាឝ្រយេ តិឞ្ឋន្តី ទិវានិឝំ និវេទនប្រាត៌្ហនាភ្យាំ កាលំ យាបយតិ។
Now she who is truly a widow, and solitary, her hope is in God; and she persevereth in prayers, and in supplications, by night and by day:
6 កិន្តុ យា វិធវា សុខភោគាសក្តា សា ជីវត្យបិ ម្ឫតា ភវតិ។
But she who followeth pleasure, is dead while she liveth.
7 អតឯវ តា យទ៑ អនិន្ទិតា ភវេយូស្តទត៌្ហម៑ ឯតានិ ត្វយា និទិឝ្យន្តាំ។
These things enjoin thou on them, that they may be blameless.
8 យទិ កឝ្ចិត៑ ស្វជាតីយាន៑ លោកាន៑ វិឝេឞតះ ស្វីយបរិជនាន៑ ន បាលយតិ តហ៌ិ ស វិឝ្វាសាទ៑ ភ្រឞ្ដោ ៜប្យធមឝ្ច ភវតិ។
But if any one careth not for them who are his own, and especially for them who are of the household of faith, he hath rejected the faith, and is worse than the unbelievers.
9 វិធវាវគ៌េ យស្យា គណនា ភវតិ តយា ឞឞ្ដិវត្សរេភ្យោ ន្យូនវយស្កយា ន ភវិតវ្យំ; អបរំ បូវ៌្វម៑ ឯកស្វាមិកា ភូត្វា
Therefore elect thou the widow, who is not less than sixty years old, and who hath been the wife of one man,
10 សា យត៑ ឝិឝុបោឞណេនាតិថិសេវនេន បវិត្រលោកានាំ ចរណប្រក្ឞាលនេន ក្លិឞ្ដានាម៑ ឧបការេណ សវ៌្វវិធសត្កម៌្មាចរណេន ច សត្កម៌្មករណាត៑ សុខ្យាតិប្រាប្តា ភវេត៑ តទប្យាវឝ្យកំ។
and hath a reputation for good works; if she have trained up children, if she have entertained strangers, if she have washed the feet of saints, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have walked in every good work.
11 កិន្តុ យុវតី រ្វិធវា ន គ្ឫហាណ យតះ ខ្រីឞ្ដស្យ វៃបរីត្យេន តាសាំ ទប៌េ ជាតេ តា វិវាហម៑ ឥច្ឆន្តិ។
But the younger widows do thou reject; for they wax wanton against the Messiah, and desire to be married:
12 តស្មាច្ច បូវ៌្វធម៌្មំ បរិត្យជ្យ ទណ្ឌនីយា ភវន្តិ។
and their condemnation is fixed, because they have cast off their former faith.
13 អនន្តរំ តា គ្ឫហាទ៑ គ្ឫហំ បយ៌្យដន្ត្យ អាលស្យំ ឝិក្ឞន្តេ កេវលមាលស្យំ នហិ កិន្ត្វនត៌្ហកាលាបំ បរាធិការចច៌្ចាញ្ចាបិ ឝិក្ឞមាណា អនុចិតានិ វាក្យានិ ភាឞន្តេ។
And they also learn idleness, wandering from house to house; and not only idleness, but also to talk much, and to pursue vanities, and to utter what they ought not.
14 អតោ មមេច្ឆេយំ យុវត្យោ វិធវា វិវាហំ កុវ៌្វតាម៑ អបត្យវត្យោ ភវន្តុ គ្ឫហកម៌្ម កុវ៌្វតាញ្ចេត្ថំ វិបក្ឞាយ កិមបិ និន្ទាទ្វារំ ន ទទតុ។
I would therefore, that the younger women marry, and bear children, and regulate their houses; and that they give no occasion to the adversary for reproach.
15 យត ឥតះ បូវ៌្វម៑ អបិ កាឝ្ចិត៑ ឝយតានស្យ បឝ្ចាទ្គាមិន្យោ ជាតាះ។
For some have already begun to turn aside after Satan.
16 អបរំ វិឝ្វាសិន្យា វិឝ្វាសិនោ វា កស្យាបិ បរិវារាណាំ មធ្យេ យទិ វិធវា វិទ្យន្តេ តហ៌ិ ស តាះ ប្រតិបាលយតុ តស្មាត៑ សមិតៅ ភារេ ៜនារោបិតេ សត្យវិធវានាំ ប្រតិបាលនំ កត៌្តុំ តយា ឝក្យតេ។
If any believing man or believing woman have widows, let them support them; and let them not be a burden on the church; so that there may be a sufficiency for such as are really widows.
17 យេ ប្រាញ្ចះ សមិតិំ សម្យគ៑ អធិតិឞ្ឋន្តិ វិឝេឞត ឦឝ្វរវាក្យេនោបទេឝេន ច យេ យត្នំ វិទធតេ តេ ទ្វិគុណស្យាទរស្យ យោគ្យា មាន្យន្តាំ។
Let the elders who conduct themselves well, be esteemed worthy of double honor; especially they who labor in the word and in doctrine.
18 យស្មាត៑ ឝាស្ត្រេ លិខិតមិទមាស្តេ, ត្វំ ឝស្យមទ៌្ទកវ្ឫឞស្យាស្យំ មា ពធានេតិ, អបរមបិ កាយ៌្យក្ឫទ៑ វេតនស្យ យោគ្យោ ភវតីតិ។
For the scripture saith Thou shalt not muzzle the ox in threshing; and, The laborer is worthy of his pay.
19 ទ្វៅ ត្រីន៑ វា សាក្ឞិណោ វិនា កស្យាចិត៑ ប្រាចីនស្យ វិរុទ្ធម៑ អភិយោគស្ត្វយា ន គ្ឫហ្យតាំ។
Against an elder, receive not a complaint, except at the mouth of two or three witnesses.
20 អបរំ យេ បាបមាចរន្តិ តាន៑ សវ៌្វេឞាំ សមក្ឞំ ភត៌្សយស្វ តេនាបរេឞាមបិ ភីតិ រ្ជនិឞ្យតេ។
Those who sin before all rebuke; that the rest of the people may fear.
21 អហម៑ ឦឝ្វរស្យ ប្រភោ រ្យីឝុខ្រីឞ្ដស្យ មនោនីតទិវ្យទូតានាញ្ច គោចរេ ត្វាម៑ ឥទម៑ អាជ្ញាបយាមិ ត្វំ កស្យាប្យនុរោធេន កិមបិ ន កុវ៌្វន វិនាបក្ឞបាតម៑ ឯតាន វិធីន៑ បាលយ។
I charge thee, before God, and our Lord Jesus the Messiah, and his elect angels, that thou observe these things; and let not your mind be preoccupied by any thing: and do nothing with a respect for persons.
22 កស្យាបិ មូទ៌្ធិ ហស្តាបណ៌ំ ត្វរយា មាកាឞ៌ីះ។ បរបាបានាញ្ចាំឝី មា ភវ។ ស្វំ ឝុចិំ រក្ឞ។
Lay not the hand hastily on any man; and participate not in the sins of others; keep thyself pure.
23 អបរំ តវោទរបីឌាយាះ បុនះ បុន ទុព៌្ពលតាយាឝ្ច និមិត្តំ កេវលំ តោយំ ន បិវន៑ កិញ្ចិន៑ មទ្យំ បិវ។
And hereafter drink not water, but drink a little wine; on account of thy stomach, and thy continuing infirmities.
24 កេឞាញ្ចិត៑ មានវានាំ បាបានិ វិចារាត៑ បូវ៌្វំ កេឞាញ្ចិត៑ បឝ្ចាត៑ ប្រកាឝន្តេ។
There are persons, whose sins are known, and go before them to the place of judgment; and there are some, whom they follow after.
25 តថៃវ សត្កម៌្មាណ្យបិ ប្រកាឝន្តេ តទន្យថា សតិ ប្រច្ឆន្នានិ ស្ថាតុំ ន ឝក្នុវន្តិ។
So also good deeds are known: and those which are otherwise cannot be hid.
