ಗಾಲಾತಿನಃ 5

1 ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟೋಽಸ್ಮಭ್ಯಂ ಯತ್ ಸ್ವಾತನ್ತ್ರ್ಯಂ ದತ್ತವಾನ್ ಯೂಯಂ ತತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಿರಾಸ್ತಿಷ್ಠತ ದಾಸತ್ವಯುಗೇನ ಪುನ ರ್ನ ನಿಬಧ್ಯಧ್ವಂ|

Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 ಪಶ್ಯತಾಹಂ ಪೌಲೋ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನ್ ವದಾಮಿ ಯದಿ ಛಿನ್ನತ್ವಚೋ ಭವಥ ತರ್ಹಿ ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟೇನ ಕಿಮಪಿ ನೋಪಕಾರಿಷ್ಯಧ್ವೇ|

Behold, I Paul say to you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 ಅಪರಂ ಯಃ ಕಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಛಿನ್ನತ್ವಗ್ ಭವತಿ ಸ ಕೃತ್ಸ್ನವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾಃ ಪಾಲನಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಾಯ ಧಾರಯತೀತಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಂ ದದಾಮಿ|

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಯಾವನ್ತೋ ಲೋಕಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಯಾ ಸಪುಣ್ಯೀಭವಿತುಂ ಚೇಷ್ಟನ್ತೇ ತೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟಾದ್ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಾತ್ ಪತಿತಾಶ್ಚ|

Christ is become of no effect to you, whoever of you are justified by the law; ye have fallen from grace.

5 ಯತೋ ವಯಮ್ ಆತ್ಮನಾ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾತ್ ಪುಣ್ಯಲಾಭಾಶಾಸಿದ್ಧಂ ಪ್ರತೀಕ್ಷಾಮಹೇ|

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟೇ ಯೀಶೌ ತ್ವಕ್ಛೇದಾತ್ವಕ್ಛೇದಯೋಃ ಕಿಮಪಿ ಗುಣಂ ನಾಸ್ತಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಪ್ರೇಮ್ನಾ ಸಫಲೋ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಏವ ಗುಣಯುಕ್ತಃ|

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

7 ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಂ ಯೂಯಂ ಸುನ್ದರಮ್ ಅಧಾವತ ಕಿನ್ತ್ವಿದಾನೀಂ ಕೇನ ಬಾಧಾಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಸತ್ಯತಾಂ ನ ಗೃಹ್ಲೀಥ?

Ye did run well; who hindered you that ye should not obey the truth?

8 ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಸಾ ಮತಿ ರ್ಯುಷ್ಮದಾಹ್ವಾನಕಾರಿಣ ಈಶ್ವರಾನ್ನ ಜಾತಾ|

This persuasion cometh not from him that calleth you.

9 ವಿಕಾರಃ ಕೃತ್ಸ್ನಶಕ್ತೂನಾಂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಿಣ್ವೇನ ಜಸಯತೇ|

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

10 ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಮತಿ ರ್ವಿಕಾರಂ ನ ಗಮಿಷ್ಯತೀತ್ಯಹಂ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನಧಿ ಪ್ರಭುನಾಶಂಸೇ; ಕಿನ್ತು ಯೋ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನ್ ವಿಚಾರಲಯತಿ ಸ ಯಃ ಕಶ್ಚಿದ್ ಭವೇತ್ ಸಮುಚಿತಂ ದಣ್ಡಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಸ್ಯತಿ|

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be not otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whoever he may be.

11 ಪರನ್ತು ಹೇ ಭ್ರಾತರಃ, ಯದ್ಯಹಮ್ ಇದಾನೀಮ್ ಅಪಿ ತ್ವಕ್ಛೇದಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯೇಯಂ ತರ್ಹಿ ಕುತ ಉಪದ್ರವಂ ಭುಞ್ಜಿಯ? ತತ್ಕೃತೇ ಕ್ರುಶಂ ನಿರ್ಬ್ಬಾಧಮ್ ಅಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್|

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then hath the offence of the cross ceased.

12 ಯೇ ಜನಾ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಚಾಞ್ಚಲ್ಯಂ ಜನಯನ್ತಿ ತೇಷಾಂ ಛೇದನಮೇವ ಮಯಾಭಿಲಷ್ಯತೇ|

I would they were even cut off who trouble you.

13 ಹೇ ಭ್ರಾತರಃ, ಯೂಯಂ ಸ್ವಾತನ್ತ್ರ್ಯಾರ್ಥಮ್ ಆಹೂತಾ ಆಧ್ವೇ ಕಿನ್ತು ತತ್ಸ್ವಾತನ್ತ್ರ್ಯದ್ವಾರೇಣ ಶಾರೀರಿಕಭಾವೋ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನ್ ನ ಪ್ರವಿಶತು| ಯೂಯಂ ಪ್ರೇಮ್ನಾ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ಪರಿಚರ್ಯ್ಯಾಂ ಕುರುಧ್ವಂ|

For, brethren, ye have been called to liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 ಯಸ್ಮಾತ್ ತ್ವಂ ಸಮೀಪವಾಸಿನಿ ಸ್ವವತ್ ಪ್ರೇಮ ಕುರ್ಯ್ಯಾ ಇತ್ಯೇಕಾಜ್ಞಾ ಕೃತ್ಸ್ನಾಯಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾಃ ಸಾರಸಂಗ್ರಹಃ|

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯೂಯಂ ಯದಿ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ದಂದಶ್ಯಧ್ವೇ ಽಶಾಶ್ಯಧ್ವೇ ಚ ತರ್ಹಿ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಮ್ ಏಕೋಽನ್ಯೇನ ಯನ್ನ ಗ್ರಸ್ಯತೇ ತತ್ರ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಭಿಃ ಸಾವಧಾನೈ ರ್ಭವಿತವ್ಯಂ|

But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one by another.

16 ಅಹಂ ಬ್ರವೀಮಿ ಯೂಯಮ್ ಆತ್ಮಿಕಾಚಾರಂ ಕುರುತ ಶಾರೀರಿಕಾಭಿಲಾಷಂ ಮಾ ಪೂರಯತ|

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 ಯತಃ ಶಾರೀರಿಕಾಭಿಲಾಷ ಆತ್ಮನೋ ವಿಪರೀತಃ, ಆತ್ಮಿಕಾಭಿಲಾಷಶ್ಚ ಶರೀರಸ್ಯ ವಿಪರೀತಃ, ಅನಯೋರುಭಯೋಃ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ವಿರೋಧೋ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ ತೇನ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಭಿ ರ್ಯದ್ ಅಭಿಲಷ್ಯತೇ ತನ್ನ ಕರ್ತ್ತವ್ಯಂ|

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 ಯೂಯಂ ಯದ್ಯಾತ್ಮನಾ ವಿನೀಯಧ್ವೇ ತರ್ಹಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾ ಅಧೀನಾ ನ ಭವಥ|

But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 ಅಪರಂ ಪರದಾರಗಮನಂ ವೇಶ್ಯಾಗಮನಮ್ ಅಶುಚಿತಾ ಕಾಮುಕತಾ ಪ್ರತಿಮಾಪೂಜನಮ್

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 ಇನ್ದ್ರಜಾಲಂ ಶತ್ರುತ್ವಂ ವಿವಾದೋಽನ್ತರ್ಜ್ವಲನಂ ಕ್ರೋಧಃ ಕಲಹೋಽನೈಕ್ಯಂ

Idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, wrath, contention, seditions, heresies,

21 ಪಾರ್ಥಕ್ಯಮ್ ಈರ್ಷ್ಯಾ ವಧೋ ಮತ್ತತ್ವಂ ಲಮ್ಪಟತ್ವಮಿತ್ಯಾದೀನಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತ್ವೇನ ಶಾರೀರಿಕಭಾವಸ್ಯ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮಾಣಿ ಸನ್ತಿ| ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಂ ಯದ್ವತ್ ಮಯಾ ಕಥಿತಂ ತದ್ವತ್ ಪುನರಪಿ ಕಥ್ಯತೇ ಯೇ ಜನಾ ಏತಾದೃಶಾನಿ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮಾಣ್ಯಾಚರನ್ತಿ ತೈರೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ರಾಜ್ಯೇಽಧಿಕಾರಃ ಕದಾಚ ನ ಲಪ್ಸ್ಯತೇ|

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 ಕಿಞ್ಚ ಪ್ರೇಮಾನನ್ದಃ ಶಾನ್ತಿಶ್ಚಿರಸಹಿಷ್ಣುತಾ ಹಿತೈಷಿತಾ ಭದ್ರತ್ವಂ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ್ಯತಾ ತಿತಿಕ್ಷಾ

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 ಪರಿಮಿತಭೋಜಿತ್ವಮಿತ್ಯಾದೀನ್ಯಾತ್ಮನಃ ಫಲಾನಿ ಸನ್ತಿ ತೇಷಾಂ ವಿರುದ್ಧಾ ಕಾಪಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾ ನಹಿ|

Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law.

24 ಯೇ ತು ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟಸ್ಯ ಲೋಕಾಸ್ತೇ ರಿಪುಭಿರಭಿಲಾಷೈಶ್ಚ ಸಹಿತಂ ಶಾರೀರಿಕಭಾವಂ ಕ್ರುಶೇ ನಿಹತವನ್ತಃ|

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 ಯದಿ ವಯಮ್ ಆತ್ಮನಾ ಜೀವಾಮಸ್ತರ್ಹ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕಾಚಾರೋಽಸ್ಮಾಭಿಃ ಕರ್ತ್ತವ್ಯಃ,

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 ದರ್ಪಃ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ನಿರ್ಭರ್ತ್ಸನಂ ದ್ವೇಷಶ್ಚಾಸ್ಮಾಭಿ ರ್ನ ಕರ್ತ್ತವ್ಯಾನಿ|

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
