1 tata AgrippaH paulam avAdIt, nijAM kathAM kathayituM tubhyam anumati rdIyate| tasmAt paulaH karaM prasAryya svasmin uttaram avAdIt|
Ἀγρίππας δὲ πρὸς τὸν Παῦλον ἔφη, “Ἐπιτρέπεταί σοι περὶ σεαυτοῦ λέγειν.” Τότε ὁ Παῦλος ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα ἀπελογεῖτο,
2 he AgripparAja yatkAraNAdahaM yihUdIyairapavAdito. abhavaM tasya vR^ittAntam adya bhavataH sAkShAn nivedayitumanumatoham idaM svIyaM paramaM bhAgyaM manye;
“Περὶ πάντων ὧν ἐγκαλοῦμαι ὑπὸ Ἰουδαίων, Βασιλεῦ Ἀγρίππα, ἥγημαι ἐμαυτὸν μακάριον ἐπὶ σοῦ, μέλλων σήμερον ἀπολογεῖσθαι.
3 yato yihUdIyalokAnAM madhye yA yA rItiH sUkShmavichArAshcha santi teShu bhavAn vij natamaH; ataeva prArthaye dhairyyamavalambya mama nivedanaM shR^iNotu|
Μάλιστα γνώστην ὄντα σε πάντων τῶν κατὰ Ἰουδαίους, ἐθῶν τε καὶ ζητημάτων· διὸ δέομαι μακροθύμως ἀκοῦσαί μου.
4 ahaM yirUshAlamnagare svadeshIyalokAnAM madhye tiShThan A yauvanakAlAd yadrUpam AcharitavAn tad yihUdIyalokAH sarvve vidanti|
Τὴν μὲν οὖν βίωσίν μου, ἐκ νεότητος τὴν ἀπʼ ἀρχῆς γενομένην ἐν τῷ ἔθνει μου ἔν τε Ἱεροσολύμοις, ἴσασι πάντες Ἰουδαῖοι,
5 asmAkaM sarvvebhyaH shuddhatamaM yat phirUshIyamataM tadavalambI bhUtvAhaM kAlaM yApitavAn ye janA A bAlyakAlAn mAM jAnAnti te etAdR^ishaM sAkShyaM yadi dadAti tarhi dAtuM shaknuvanti|
προγινώσκοντές με ἄνωθεν, ἐὰν θέλωσι μαρτυρεῖν ὅτι κατὰ τὴν ἀκριβεστάτην αἵρεσιν τῆς ἡμετέρας θρησκείας, ἔζησα Φαρισαῖος.

7 tasyA NgIkArasya phalaM prAptum asmAkaM dvAdashavaMshA divAnishaM mahAyatnAd IshvarasevanaM kR^itvA yAM pratyAshAM kurvvanti tasyAH pratyAshAyA hetorahaM yihUdIyairapavAdito. abhavam|
εἰς ἣν τὸ δωδεκάφυλον ἡμῶν ἐν ἐκτενείᾳ, νύκτα καὶ ἡμέραν λατρεῦον, ἐλπίζει καταντῆσαι· περὶ ἧς ἐλπίδος ἐγκαλοῦμαι ὑπὸ Ἰουδαίων, Βασιλεῦ.
8 Ishvaro mR^itAn utthApayiShyatIti vAkyaM yuShmAkaM nikaTe. asambhavaM kuto bhavet?
Τί ἄπιστον κρίνεται παρʼ ὑμῖν, εἰ ὁ ˚Θεὸς νεκροὺς ἐγείρει;
9 nAsaratIyayIsho rnAmno viruddhaM nAnAprakArapratikUlAcharaNam uchitam ityahaM manasi yathArthaM vij nAya
Ἐγὼ μὲν οὖν ἔδοξα ἐμαυτῷ πρὸς τὸ ὄνομα ˚Ἰησοῦ τοῦ Ναζωραίου, δεῖν πολλὰ ἐναντία πρᾶξαι.
10 yirUshAlamanagare tadakaravaM phalataH pradhAnayAjakasya nikaTAt kShamatAM prApya bahUn pavitralokAn kArAyAM baddhavAn visheShatasteShAM hananasamaye teShAM viruddhAM nijAM sammatiM prakAshitavAn|
Ὃ καὶ ἐποίησα ἐν Ἱεροσολύμοις, καὶ πολλούς τε τῶν ἁγίων ἐγὼ ἐν φυλακαῖς κατέκλεισα, τὴν παρὰ τῶν ἀρχιερέων ἐξουσίαν λαβών, ἀναιρουμένων τε αὐτῶν, κατήνεγκα ψῆφον.
11 vAraM vAraM bhajanabhavaneShu tebhyo daNDaM pradattavAn balAt taM dharmmaM nindayitavAMshcha punashcha tAn prati mahAkrodhAd unmattaH san videshIyanagarANi yAvat tAn tADitavAn|
Καὶ κατὰ πάσας τὰς συναγωγὰς, πολλάκις τιμωρῶν αὐτοὺς, ἠνάγκαζον βλασφημεῖν, περισσῶς τε ἐμμαινόμενος αὐτοῖς, ἐδίωκον ἕως καὶ εἰς τὰς ἔξω πόλεις.

Ἐν οἷς πορευόμενος εἰς τὴν Δαμασκὸν, μετʼ ἐξουσίας καὶ ἐπιτροπῆς τῆς τῶν ἀρχιερέων,
13 tadAhaM he rAjan mArgamadhye madhyAhnakAle mama madIyasa NginAM lokAnA ncha chatasR^iShu dikShu gagaNAt prakAshamAnAM bhAskaratopi tejasvatIM dIptiM dR^iShTavAn|
ἡμέρας μέσης κατὰ τὴν ὁδὸν εἶδον, Βασιλεῦ, οὐρανόθεν ὑπὲρ τὴν λαμπρότητα τοῦ ἡλίου περιλάμψαν με φῶς, καὶ τοὺς σὺν ἐμοὶ πορευομένους.
14 tasmAd asmAsu sarvveShu bhUmau patiteShu satsu he shaula hai shaula kuto mAM tADayasi? kaNTakAnAM mukhe pAdAhananaM tava duHsAdhyam ibrIyabhAShayA gadita etAdR^isha ekaH shabdo mayA shrutaH|
Πάντων τε καταπεσόντων ἡμῶν εἰς τὴν γῆν, ἤκουσα φωνὴν, λέγουσαν πρός με τῇ Ἑβραΐδι διαλέκτῳ, ‘Σαοὺλ, Σαούλ, τί με διώκεις; Σκληρόν σοι πρὸς κέντρα λακτίζειν.’
15 tadAhaM pR^iShTavAn he prabho ko bhavAn? tataH sa kathitavAn yaM yIshuM tvaM tADayasi sohaM,
Ἐγὼ δὲ εἶπα, ‘Τίς εἶ, κύριε;’ Ὁ δὲ ˚Κύριος εἶπεν, ‘Ἐγώ εἰμι ˚Ἰησοῦς, ὃν σὺ διώκεις.
16 kintu samuttiShTha tvaM yad dR^iShTavAn itaH puna ncha yadyat tvAM darshayiShyAmi teShAM sarvveShAM kAryyANAM tvAM sAkShiNaM mama sevaka ncha karttum darshanam adAm|
Ἀλλὰ ἀνάστηθι, καὶ στῆθι ἐπὶ τοὺς πόδας σου· εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ὤφθην σοι, προχειρίσασθαί σε ὑπηρέτην καὶ μάρτυρα, ὧν τε εἶδές με ὧν τε ὀφθήσομαί σοι,

ἐξαιρούμενός σε ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν, εἰς οὓς ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω σε,
18 yathA te mayi vishvasya pavitrIkR^itAnAM madhye bhAgaM prApnuvanti tadabhiprAyeNa teShAM j nAnachakShUMShi prasannAni karttuM tathAndhakArAd dIptiM prati shaitAnAdhikArAchcha IshvaraM prati matIH parAvarttayituM teShAM samIpaM tvAM preShyAmi|
ἀνοῖξαι ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν, τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι ἀπὸ σκότους εἰς φῶς, καὶ τῆς ἐξουσίας τοῦ Σατανᾶ ἐπὶ τὸν ˚Θεόν, τοῦ λαβεῖν αὐτοὺς ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν καὶ κλῆρον ἐν τοῖς ἡγιασμένοις πίστει τῇ εἰς ἐμέ.’

Ὅθεν, Βασιλεῦ Ἀγρίππα, οὐκ ἐγενόμην ἀπειθὴς τῇ οὐρανίῳ ὀπτασίᾳ,
20 prathamato dammeShaknagare tato yirUshAlami sarvvasmin yihUdIyadeshe anyeShu desheShu cha yena lokA matiM parAvarttya IshvaraM prati parAvarttayante, manaHparAvarttanayogyAni karmmANi cha kurvvanti tAdR^isham upadeshaM prachAritavAn|
ἀλλὰ τοῖς ἐν Δαμασκῷ πρῶτόν τε, καὶ Ἱεροσολύμοις, πᾶσάν τε τὴν χώραν τῆς Ἰουδαίας, καὶ τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, ἀπήγγελλον μετανοεῖν καὶ ἐπιστρέφειν ἐπὶ τὸν ˚Θεόν, ἄξια τῆς μετανοίας ἔργα πράσσοντας.

Ἕνεκα τούτων, με Ἰουδαῖοι συλλαβόμενοι ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, ἐπειρῶντο διαχειρίσασθαι.
22 tathApi khrIShTo duHkhaM bhuktvA sarvveShAM pUrvvaM shmashAnAd utthAya nijadeshIyAnAM bhinnadeshIyAnA ncha samIpe dIptiM prakAshayiShyati
Ἐπικουρίας οὖν τυχὼν τῆς ἀπὸ τοῦ ˚Θεοῦ ἄχρι τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης, ἕστηκα μαρτυρόμενος μικρῷ τε καὶ μεγάλῳ, οὐδὲν ἐκτὸς λέγων ὧν τε οἱ προφῆται ἐλάλησαν μελλόντων γίνεσθαι, καὶ Μωϋσῆς,
23 bhaviShyadvAdigaNo mUsAshcha bhAvikAryyasya yadidaM pramANam adaduretad vinAnyAM kathAM na kathayitvA IshvarAd anugrahaM labdhvA mahatAM kShudrANA ncha sarvveShAM samIpe pramANaM dattvAdya yAvat tiShThAmi|
εἰ παθητὸς ὁ ˚Χριστός, εἰ πρῶτος ἐξ ἀναστάσεως νεκρῶν, φῶς μέλλει καταγγέλλειν τῷ τε λαῷ καὶ τοῖς ἔθνεσιν.”
24 tasyamAM kathAM nishamya phIShTa uchchaiH svareNa kathitavAn he paula tvam unmattosi bahuvidyAbhyAsena tvaM hataj nAno jAtaH|
Ταῦτα δὲ αὐτοῦ ἀπολογουμένου, ὁ Φῆστος μεγάλῃ τῇ φωνῇ φησιν, “Μαίνῃ, Παῦλε! Τὰ πολλά σε γράμματα εἰς μανίαν περιτρέπει!”

Ὁ δὲ Παῦλος, “Οὐ μαίνομαι”, φησίν, “κράτιστε Φῆστε, ἀλλὰ ἀληθείας καὶ σωφροσύνης ῥήματα ἀποφθέγγομαι.
26 yasya sAkShAd akShobhaH san kathAM kathayAmi sa rAjA tadvR^ittAntaM jAnAti tasya samIpe kimapi guptaM neti mayA nishchitaM budhyate yatastad vijane na kR^itaM|
Ἐπίσταται γὰρ περὶ τούτων ὁ βασιλεύς, πρὸς ὃν καὶ παρρησιαζόμενος λαλῶ· λανθάνειν γὰρ αὐτὸν τι τούτων οὐ πείθομαι οὐθέν, οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ἐν γωνίᾳ πεπραγμένον τοῦτο.
27 he AgripparAja bhavAn kiM bhaviShyadvAdigaNoktAni vAkyAni pratyeti? bhavAn pratyeti tadahaM jAnAmi|
Πιστεύεις, Βασιλεῦ Ἀγρίππα, τοῖς προφήταις; Οἶδα ὅτι πιστεύεις.”
28 tata AgrippaH paulam abhihitavAn tvaM pravR^ittiM janayitvA prAyeNa mAmapi khrIShTIyaM karoShi|
Ὁ δὲ Ἀγρίππας πρὸς τὸν Παῦλον, “Ἐν ὀλίγῳ με πείθεις Χριστιανὸν ποιῆσαι;”
29 tataH so. avAdIt bhavAn ye ye lokAshcha mama kathAm adya shR^iNvanti prAyeNa iti nahi kintvetat shR^i NkhalabandhanaM vinA sarvvathA te sarvve mAdR^ishA bhavantvitIshvasya samIpe prArthaye. aham|
Ὁ δὲ Παῦλος, “Εὐξαίμην ἂν τῷ ˚Θεῷ, καὶ ἐν ὀλίγῳ καὶ ἐν μεγάλῳ, οὐ μόνον σὲ, ἀλλὰ καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀκούοντάς μου σήμερον, γενέσθαι τοιούτους ὁποῖος κἀγώ εἰμι, παρεκτὸς τῶν δεσμῶν τούτων.”

Ἀνέστη τε ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ ὁ ἡγεμὼν, ἥ τε Βερνίκη καὶ οἱ συγκαθήμενοι αὐτοῖς,
31 gopane parasparaM vivichya kathitavanta eSha jano bandhanArhaM prANahananArhaM vA kimapi karmma nAkarot|
καὶ ἀναχωρήσαντες ἐλάλουν πρὸς ἀλλήλους λέγοντες, ὅτι “Οὐδὲν θανάτου ἢ δεσμῶν ἄξιον τι πράσσει ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗτος.”
32 tata AgrippaH phIShTam avadat, yadyeSha mAnuShaH kaisarasya nikaTe vichArito bhavituM na prArthayiShyat tarhi mukto bhavitum ashakShyat|
Ἀγρίππας δὲ τῷ Φήστῳ ἔφη, “Ἀπολελύσθαι ἐδύνατο ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗτος, εἰ μὴ ἐπεκέκλητο Καίσαρα.”
