1 tataḥ paraṁ mayā dr̥ṣṭipātaṁ kr̥tvā svargē muktaṁ dvāram ēkaṁ dr̥ṣṭaṁ mayā sahabhāṣamāṇasya ca yasya tūrīvādyatulyō ravaḥ pūrvvaṁ śrutaḥ sa mām avōcat sthānamētad ārōhaya, itaḥ paraṁ yēna yēna bhavitavyaṁ tadahaṁ tvāṁ darśayiṣyē|
After these things I looked and saw a door opened in heaven, and the first voice that I heard, like a trumpet speaking with me, was one saying, "Come up here, and I will show you the things which must happen after this."
2 tēnāhaṁ tatkṣaṇād ātmāviṣṭō bhūtvā 'paśyaṁ svargē siṁhāsanamēkaṁ sthāpitaṁ tatra siṁhāsanē ēkō jana upaviṣṭō 'sti|
Immediately I was in the Spirit; and look, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne.
3 siṁhāsanē upaviṣṭasya tasya janasya rūpaṁ sūryyakāntamaṇēḥ pravālasya ca tulyaṁ tat siṁhāsanañca marakatamaṇivadrūpaviśiṣṭēna mēghadhanuṣā vēṣṭitaṁ|
And the one who sat there looked like a jasper stone and a sardius. There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald to look at.
4 tasya siṁhāsanē caturdikṣu caturviṁśatisiṁhāsanāni tiṣṭhanti tēṣu siṁhāsanēṣu caturviṁśati prācīnalōkā upaviṣṭāstē śubhravāsaḥparihitāstēṣāṁ śirāṁsi ca suvarṇakirīṭai rbhūṣitāni|
Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads.
5 tasya siṁhāsanasya madhyāt taḍitō ravāḥ stanitāni ca nirgacchanti siṁhāsanasyāntikē ca sapta dīpā jvalanti ta īśvarasya saptātmānaḥ|
And from the throne came flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were seven torches of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 aparaṁ siṁhāsanasyāntikē sphaṭikatulyaḥ kācamayō jalāśayō vidyatē, aparam agrataḥ paścācca bahucakṣuṣmantaścatvāraḥ prāṇinaḥ siṁhasanasya madhyē caturdikṣu ca vidyantē|
Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the midst of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind.
7 tēṣāṁ prathamaḥ prāṇī siṁhākārō dvitīyaḥ prāṇī gōvātsākārastr̥tīyaḥ prāṇī manuṣyavadvadanaviśiṣṭaścaturthaśca prāṇī uḍḍīyamānakurarōpamaḥ|
The first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature like a calf, and the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
8 tēṣāṁ caturṇām ēkaikasya prāṇinaḥ ṣaṭ pakṣāḥ santi tē ca sarvvāṅgēṣvabhyantarē ca bahucakṣurviśiṣṭāḥ, tē divāniśaṁ na viśrāmya gadanti pavitraḥ pavitraḥ pavitraḥ sarvvaśaktimān varttamānō bhūtō bhaviṣyaṁśca prabhuḥ paramēśvaraḥ|
The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come."
9 itthaṁ taiḥ prāṇibhistasyānantajīvinaḥ siṁhāsanōpaviṣṭasya janasya prabhāvē gauravē dhanyavādē ca prakīrttitē (aiōn )
And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever, (aiōn )
10 tē caturviṁśatiprācīnā api tasya siṁhāsanōpaviṣṭasyāntikē praṇinatya tam anantajīvinaṁ praṇamanti svīyakirīṭāṁśca siṁhāsanasyāntikē nikṣipya vadanti, (aiōn )
the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn )
11 hē prabhō īśvarāsmākaṁ prabhāvaṁ gauravaṁ balaṁ| tvamēvārhasi samprāptuṁ yat sarvvaṁ sasr̥jē tvayā| tavābhilāṣataścaiva sarvvaṁ sambhūya nirmmamē||
"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed, and were created."
