< prakāśitaṁ 10 >
1 anantaraṁ svargād avarohan apara eko mahābalo dūto mayā dṛṣṭaḥ, sa parihitameghastasya śiraśca meghadhanuṣā bhūṣitaṁ mukhamaṇḍalañca sūryyatulyaṁ caraṇau ca vahnistambhasamau|
And I saw a mighty agent coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud, and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire,
2 sa svakareṇa vistīrṇamekaṁ kṣūdragranthaṁ dhārayati, dakṣiṇacaraṇena samudre vāmacaraṇena ca sthale tiṣṭhati|
and having in his hand an opened book. And he placed his right foot upon the sea, and the left upon the earth.
3 sa siṁhagarjanavad uccaiḥsvareṇa nyanadat nināde kṛte sapta stanitāni svakīyān svanān prākāśayan|
And he cried out in a great voice as a lion roars. And when he cried out, the seven thunders uttered their voices.
4 taiḥ sapta stanitai rvākye kathite 'haṁ tat lekhitum udyata āsaṁ kintu svargād vāgiyaṁ mayā śrutā sapta stanitai ryad yad uktaṁ tat mudrayāṅkaya mā likha|
And when the seven thunders uttered, I was going to write. And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up what the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.
5 aparaṁ samudramedinyostiṣṭhan yo dūto mayā dṛṣṭaḥ sa gaganaṁ prati svadakṣiṇakaramutthāpya
And the agent whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth raised his right hand to heaven,
6 aparaṁ svargād yasya ravo mayāśrāvi sa puna rmāṁ sambhāvyāvadat tvaṁ gatvā samudramedinyostiṣṭhato dūtasya karāt taṁ vistīrṇa kṣudragranthaṁ gṛhāṇa, tena mayā dūtasamīpaṁ gatvā kathitaṁ grantho 'sau dīyatāṁ| (aiōn )
and swore by him who lives into the ages of the ages, who created the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that time would be no more. (aiōn )
7 kintu tūrīṁ vādiṣyataḥ saptamadūtasya tūrīvādanasamaya īśvarasya guptā mantraṇā tasya dāsān bhaviṣyadvādinaḥ prati tena susaṁvāde yathā prakāśitā tathaiva siddhā bhaviṣyati|
But in the days of the voice of the seventh agent, when he is going to sound, even the mystery of God is finished, as he declared the good news to his bondmen the prophets.
8 aparaṁ svargād yasya ravo mayāśrāvi sa puna rmāṁ sambhāṣyāvadat tvaṁ gatvā samudramedinyostiṣṭhato dūtasya karāt taṁ vistīrṇaṁ kṣudragranthaṁ gṛhāṇa,
And the voice that I heard from heaven was again speaking with me, and saying, Go, take the little book that has been opened in the hand of the agent who stands upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 tena mayā dūtasamīpaṁ gatvā kathitaṁ grantho 'sau dīyatāṁ| sa mām avadat taṁ gṛhītvā gila, tavodare sa tiktaraso bhaviṣyati kintu mukhe madhuvat svādu rbhaviṣyati|
And I went to the agent, telling him to give me the little book. And he says to me, Take and eat it. And it will make thy belly bitter, but it will be sweet as honey in thy mouth.
10 tena mayā dūtasya karād grantho gṛhīto gilitaśca| sa tu mama mukhe madhuvat svādurāsīt kintvadanāt paraṁ mamodarastiktatāṁ gataḥ|
And I took the book out of the agent's hand, and ate it. And it was sweet as honey in my mouth, and when I had eaten it, my belly was made bitter.
11 tataḥ sa mām avadat bahūn jātivaṁśabhāṣāvadirājān adhi tvayā puna rbhaviṣyadvākyaṁ vaktavyaṁ|
And he says to me, Thou must prophesy again against many peoples, and against nations and tongues and kings.
