For the lawe hauinge a schadewe of good thingis `that ben to come, not the ilke image of thingis, mai neuer make men neiyinge perfit bi the ilke same sacrifices, which thei offren without ceessing bi alle yeeris;
2 yadyaśakṣyat tarhi teṣāṁ balīnāṁ dānaṁ kiṁ na nyavarttiṣyata? yataḥ sevākāriṣvekakṛtvaḥ pavitrībhūteṣu teṣāṁ ko'pi pāpabodhaḥ puna rnābhaviṣyat|
ellis thei schulden haue ceessid to be offrid, for as myche as the worschiperis clensid onys, hadden not ferthermore conscience of synne.
3 kintu tai rbalidānaiḥ prativatsaraṁ pāpānāṁ smāraṇaṁ jāyate|
But in hem mynde of synnes is maad bi alle yeris.
4 yato vṛṣāṇāṁ chāgānāṁ vā rudhireṇa pāpamocanaṁ na sambhavati|
For it is impossible that synnes be doon awei bi blood of boolis, and of buckis of geet.
5 etatkāraṇāt khrīṣṭena jagat praviśyedam ucyate, yathā, "neṣṭvā baliṁ na naivedyaṁ deho me nirmmitastvayā|
Therfor he entrynge in to the world, seith, Thou woldist not sacrifice and offryng; but thou hast schapun a bodi to me;
6 na ca tvaṁ balibhi rhavyaiḥ pāpaghnai rvā pratuṣyasi|
brent sacrificis also for synne plesiden not to thee.
7 avādiṣaṁ tadaivāhaṁ paśya kurvve samāgamaṁ| dharmmagranthasya sarge me vidyate likhitā kathā| īśa mano'bhilāṣaste mayā sampūrayiṣyate|"
Thanne Y seide, Lo! Y come; in the bigynnyng of the book it is writun of me, that Y do thi wille, God.
8 ityasmin prathamato yeṣāṁ dānaṁ vyavasthānusārād bhavati tānyadhi tenedamuktaṁ yathā, balinaivedyahavyāni pāpaghnañcopacārakaṁ, nemāni vāñchasi tvaṁ hi na caiteṣu pratuṣyasīti|
He seiynge bifor, That thou woldist not sacrificis, and offringis, and brent sacrifices for synne, ne tho thingis ben plesaunt to thee, whiche ben offrid bi the lawe,
9 tataḥ paraṁ tenoktaṁ yathā, "paśya mano'bhilāṣaṁ te karttuṁ kurvve samāgamaṁ;" dvitīyam etad vākyaṁ sthirīkarttuṁ sa prathamaṁ lumpati|
thanne Y seide, Lo! Y come, that Y do thi wille, God. He doith awei the firste, that he make stidfast the secounde.
10 tena mano'bhilāṣeṇa ca vayaṁ yīśukhrīṣṭasyaikakṛtvaḥ svaśarīrotsargāt pavitrīkṛtā abhavāma|
In which wille we ben halewid bi the offring of the bodi of Crist Jhesu onys.
11 aparam ekaiko yājakaḥ pratidinam upāsanāṁ kurvvan yaiśca pāpāni nāśayituṁ kadāpi na śakyante tādṛśān ekarūpān balīn punaḥ punarutsṛjan tiṣṭhati|
And ech prest is redi mynystrynge ech dai, and ofte tymes offringe the same sacrifices, whiche moun neuere do awei synnes.
12 kintvasau pāpanāśakam ekaṁ baliṁ datvānantakālārtham īśvarasya dakṣiṇa upaviśya
But this man offringe o sacrifice for synnes, for euere more sittith in the riythalf of God the fadir;
13 yāvat tasya śatravastasya pādapīṭhaṁ na bhavanti tāvat pratīkṣamāṇastiṣṭhati|
fro thennus forth abidinge, til hise enemyes ben put a stool of hise feet.
14 yata ekena balidānena so'nantakālārthaṁ pūyamānān lokān sādhitavān|
For bi oon offring he made perfit for euere halewid men.
15 etasmin pavitra ātmāpyasmākaṁ pakṣe pramāṇayati
And the Hooli Goost witnessith to vs; for aftir that he seide, This is the testament,
16 "yato hetostaddināt param ahaṁ taiḥ sārddham imaṁ niyamaṁ sthirīkariṣyāmīti prathamata uktvā parameśvareṇedaṁ kathitaṁ, teṣāṁ citte mama vidhīn sthāpayiṣyāmi teṣāṁ manaḥsu ca tān lekhiṣyāmi ca,
which Y schal witnesse to hem after tho daies, the Lord seith, in yyuynge my lawes in the hertis of hem, and in the soulis of hem Y schal aboue write hem;
17 aparañca teṣāṁ pāpānyaparādhāṁśca punaḥ kadāpi na smāriṣyāmi|"
and now Y schal no more thenke on the synnes and the wickidnessis of hem.
18 kintu yatra pāpamocanaṁ bhavati tatra pāpārthakabalidānaṁ puna rna bhavati|
And where remyssioun of these is, now is ther noon offring for synne.
19 ato he bhrātaraḥ, yīśo rudhireṇa pavitrasthānapraveśāyāsmākam utsāho bhavati,
Therfor, britheren, hauynge trist in to the entring of hooli thingis in the blood of Crist,
20 yataḥ so'smadarthaṁ tiraskariṇyārthataḥ svaśarīreṇa navīnaṁ jīvanayuktañcaikaṁ panthānaṁ nirmmitavān,
which halewide to vs a newe weie, and lyuynge bi the hiling, that is to seie,
21 aparañceśvarīyaparivārasyādhyakṣa eko mahāyājako'smākamasti|
his fleisch, and we hauynge the greet preest on the hous of God,
22 ato hetorasmābhiḥ saralāntaḥkaraṇai rdṛḍhaviśvāsaiḥ pāpabodhāt prakṣālitamanobhi rnirmmalajale snātaśarīraiśceśvaram upāgatya pratyāśāyāḥ pratijñā niścalā dhārayitavyā|
neiye we with very herte in the plente of feith; and be oure hertis spreined fro an yuel conscience, and oure bodies waischun with clene watir,
23 yato yastām aṅgīkṛtavān sa viśvasanīyaḥ|
and holde we the confessioun of oure hope, bowinge to no side; for he is trewe that hath made the biheeste.
24 aparaṁ premni satkriyāsu caikaikasyotsāhavṛddhyartham asmābhiḥ parasparaṁ mantrayitavyaṁ|
And biholde we togidere in the stiring of charite and of good werkis; not forsakinge oure gadering togidere,
25 aparaṁ katipayalokā yathā kurvvanti tathāsmābhiḥ sabhākaraṇaṁ na parityaktavyaṁ parasparam upadeṣṭavyañca yatastat mahādinam uttarottaraṁ nikaṭavartti bhavatīti yuṣmābhi rdṛśyate|
as it is of custom to sum men, but coumfortinge, and bi so myche the more, bi hou myche ye seen the dai neiyynge.
26 satyamatasya jñānaprāpteḥ paraṁ yadi vayaṁ svaṁcchayā pāpācāraṁ kurmmastarhi pāpānāṁ kṛte 'nyat kimapi balidānaṁ nāvaśiṣyate
Forwhi now a sacrifice for synnes is not left to vs, that synnen wilfuli, aftir that we han take the knowyng of treuthe.
27 kintu vicārasya bhayānakā pratīkṣā ripunāśakānalasya tāpaścāvaśiṣyate|
Forwhi sum abiding of the dom is dreedful, and the suyng of fier, which schal waste aduersaries.
28 yaḥ kaścit mūsaso vyavasthām avamanyate sa dayāṁ vinā dvayostisṛṇāṁ vā sākṣiṇāṁ pramāṇena hanyate,
Who that brekith Moises lawe, dieth withouten ony merci, bi tweine or thre witnessis;
29 tasmāt kiṁ budhyadhve yo jana īśvarasya putram avajānāti yena ca pavitrīkṛto 'bhavat tat niyamasya rudhiram apavitraṁ jānāti, anugrahakaram ātmānam apamanyate ca, sa kiyanmahāghorataradaṇḍasya yogyo bhaviṣyati?
hou myche more gessen ye, that he disserueth worse turmentis, which defouleth the sone of God, and holdith the blood of the testament pollut, in which he is halewid, and doith dispit to the spirit of grace?
30 yataḥ parameśvaraḥ kathayati, "dānaṁ phalasya matkarmma sūcitaṁ pradadāmyahaṁ|" punarapi, "tadā vicārayiṣyante pareśena nijāḥ prajāḥ|" idaṁ yaḥ kathitavān taṁ vayaṁ jānīmaḥ|
For we knowen him that seide, To me veniaunce, and Y schal yelde. And eft, For the Lord schal deme his puple.
31 amareśvarasya karayoḥ patanaṁ mahābhayānakaṁ|
It is ferdful to falle in to the hondis of God lyuynge.
32 he bhrātaraḥ, pūrvvadināni smarata yatastadānīṁ yūyaṁ dīptiṁ prāpya bahudurgatirūpaṁ saṁgrāmaṁ sahamānā ekato nindākleśaiḥ kautukīkṛtā abhavata,
And haue ye mynde on the formere daies, in which ye weren liytned, and suffriden greet strijf of passiouns.
33 anyataśca tadbhogināṁ samāṁśino 'bhavata|
And in the `tothir ye weren maad a spectacle bi schenschipis and tribulaciouns; in an othir ye weren maad felowis of men lyuynge so.
34 yūyaṁ mama bandhanasya duḥkhena duḥkhino 'bhavata, yuṣmākam uttamā nityā ca sampattiḥ svarge vidyata iti jñātvā sānandaṁ sarvvasvasyāpaharaṇam asahadhvañca|
For also to boundun men ye hadden compassioun, and ye resseyueden with ioye the robbyng of youre goodis, knowinge that ye han a betere and a dwellinge substaunce.
35 ataeva mahāpuraskārayuktaṁ yuṣmākam utsāhaṁ na parityajata|
Therfor nyle ye leese youre trist, which hath greet rewarding.
36 yato yūyaṁ yeneśvarasyecchāṁ pālayitvā pratijñāyāḥ phalaṁ labhadhvaṁ tadarthaṁ yuṣmābhi rdhairyyāvalambanaṁ karttavyaṁ|
For pacience is nedeful to you, that ye do the wille of God, and bringe ayen the biheest.
37 yenāgantavyaṁ sa svalpakālāt param āgamiṣyati na ca vilambiṣyate|
For yit a litil, and he that is to comynge schal come, and he schal not tarie.
38 "puṇyavān jano viśvāsena jīviṣyati kintu yadi nivarttate tarhi mama manastasmin na toṣaṁ yāsyati|"
For my iust man lyueth of feith; that if he withdrawith hym silf, he schal not plese to my soule.
39 kintu vayaṁ vināśajanikāṁ dharmmāt nivṛttiṁ na kurvvāṇā ātmanaḥ paritrāṇāya viśvāsaṁ kurvvāmahe|
But we ben not the sones of withdrawing awei in to perdicioun, but of feith in to getynge of soule.
