લૂકઃ 11
1 અનન્તરં સ કસ્મિંશ્ચિત્ સ્થાને પ્રાર્થયત તત્સમાપ્તૌ સત્યાં તસ્યૈકઃ શિષ્યસ્તં જગાદ હે પ્રભો યોહન્ યથા સ્વશિષ્યાન્ પ્રાર્થયિતુમ્ ઉપદિષ્ટવાન્ તથા ભવાનપ્યસ્માન્ ઉપદિશતુ|
And it came to pass while being He in a place certain praying, when He ceased, said one of the disciples of Him to Him; Lord, do teach us to pray even as also John taught the disciples of him.
2 તસ્માત્ સ કથયામાસ, પ્રાર્થનકાલે યૂયમ્ ઇત્થં કથયધ્વં, હે અસ્માકં સ્વર્ગસ્થપિતસ્તવ નામ પૂજ્યં ભવતુ; તવ રાજત્વં ભવતુ; સ્વર્ગે યથા તથા પૃથિવ્યામપિ તવેચ્છયા સર્વ્વં ભવતુ|
He said then to them; When you may pray, do say: Father (of us in to the heavens *K*) should be hallowed the name of You; should come the kingdom of You (should be [done] *KO*) (the will of you as in heaven and upon earth; *K*)
3 પ્રત્યહમ્ અસ્માકં પ્રયોજનીયં ભોજ્યં દેહિ|
The bread of us daily do give us each day;
4 યથા વયં સર્વ્વાન્ અપરાધિનઃ ક્ષમામહે તથા ત્વમપિ પાપાન્યસ્માકં ક્ષમસ્વ| અસ્માન્ પરીક્ષાં માનય કિન્તુ પાપાત્મનો રક્ષ|
And do forgive us the sins of us; also for ourselves we forgive to everyone indebted to us; and may you not lead us into temptation (but do deliver us from evil. *K*)
5 પશ્ચાત્ સોપરમપિ કથિતવાન્ યદિ યુષ્માકં કસ્યચિદ્ બન્ધુસ્તિષ્ઠતિ નિશીથે ચ તસ્ય સમીપં સ ગત્વા વદતિ,
And He said to them; Who among you will have a friend, and will go to him at midnight and say to him; Friend, do lend me three loaves,
6 હે બન્ધો પથિક એકો બન્ધુ ર્મમ નિવેશનમ્ આયાતઃ કિન્તુ તસ્યાતિથ્યં કર્ત્તું મમાન્તિકે કિમપિ નાસ્તિ, અતએવ પૂપત્રયં મહ્યમ્ ઋણં દેહિ;
since a friend of mine is come off a journey to me, and nothing I have what I will set before him;
7 તદા સ યદિ ગૃહમધ્યાત્ પ્રતિવદતિ માં મા ક્લિશાન, ઇદાનીં દ્વારં રુદ્ધં શયને મયા સહ બાલકાશ્ચ તિષ્ઠન્તિ તુભ્યં દાતુમ્ ઉત્થાતું ન શક્નોમિ,
And he And he from within answering may say; Not me trouble do cause. already the door has been shut, and the children of mine with me in the bed are; not I am able having risen up to give to you.
8 તર્હિ યુષ્માનહં વદામિ, સ યદિ મિત્રતયા તસ્મૈ કિમપિ દાતું નોત્તિષ્ઠતિ તથાપિ વારં વારં પ્રાર્થનાત ઉત્થાપિતઃ સન્ યસ્મિન્ તસ્ય પ્રયોજનં તદેવ દાસ્યતિ|
I say to you; if even not he will give to him having risen up because of being friend of him because of yet the persistence of him having risen he will give to him (as many as *NK(o)*) he needs.
9 અતઃ કારણાત્ કથયામિ, યાચધ્વં તતો યુષ્મભ્યં દાસ્યતે, મૃગયધ્વં તત ઉદ્દેશં પ્રાપ્સ્યથ, દ્વારમ્ આહત તતો યુષ્મભ્યં દ્વારં મોક્ષ્યતે|
And I myself And I myself to you say; do ask and it will be given to you; do seek and you will find; do knock and it will be opened to you.
10 યો યાચતે સ પ્રાપ્નોતિ, યો મૃગયતે સ એવોદ્દેશં પ્રાપ્નોતિ, યો દ્વારમ્ આહન્તિ તદર્થં દ્વારં મોચ્યતે|
Everyone for the [one] asking receives, and the [one] seeking finds, and to the [one] knocking it will be opened.
11 પુત્રેણ પૂપે યાચિતે તસ્મૈ પાષાણં દદાતિ વા મત્સ્યે યાચિતે તસ્મૈ સર્પં દદાતિ
Which now (of *no*) you who [is] a father will ask for the son (bread surely not stone will he give to him *KO*) (if *K(o)*) a fish, and (surely not *ko*) instead of a fish a serpent to him will he give
12 વા અણ્ડે યાચિતે તસ્મૈ વૃશ્ચિકં દદાતિ યુષ્માકં મધ્યે ક એતાદૃશઃ પિતાસ્તે?
Or also (if *K*) (he will ask for *NK(O)*) an egg, (surely not *ko*) will he give to him a scorpion?
13 તસ્માદેવ યૂયમભદ્રા અપિ યદિ સ્વસ્વબાલકેભ્ય ઉત્તમાનિ દ્રવ્યાણિ દાતું જાનીથ તર્હ્યસ્માકં સ્વર્ગસ્થઃ પિતા નિજયાચકેભ્યઃ કિં પવિત્રમ્ આત્માનં ન દાસ્યતિ?
If therefore you yourselves evil being you know gifts good to give to the children of you, how much more the Father who [is] in heaven will give [the] Spirit Holy to those asking Him!
14 અનન્તરં યીશુના કસ્માચ્ચિદ્ એકસ્મિન્ મૂકભૂતે ત્યાજિતે સતિ સ ભૂતત્યક્તો માનુષો વાક્યં વક્તુમ્ આરેભે; તતો લોકાઃ સકલા આશ્ચર્ય્યં મેનિરે|
And He was casting out a demon and it was mute. it came to pass then from the demon having gone out spoke the mute And marveled the crowds.
15 કિન્તુ તેષાં કેચિદૂચુ ર્જનોયં બાલસિબૂબા અર્થાદ્ ભૂતરાજેન ભૂતાન્ ત્યાજયતિ|
Some then of them said; By Beelzebul (the *no*) prince of the demons He casts out the demons.
16 તં પરીક્ષિતું કેચિદ્ આકાશીયમ્ એકં ચિહ્નં દર્શયિતું તં પ્રાર્થયાઞ્ચક્રિરે|
Others now testing a sign from heaven were seeking from Him.
17 તદા સ તેષાં મનઃકલ્પનાં જ્ઞાત્વા કથયામાસ, કસ્યચિદ્ રાજ્યસ્ય લોકા યદિ પરસ્પરં વિરુન્ધન્તિ તર્હિ તદ્ રાજ્યમ્ નશ્યતિ; કેચિદ્ ગૃહસ્થા યદિ પરસ્પરં વિરુન્ધન્તિ તર્હિ તેપિ નશ્યન્તિ|
He himself now knowing their thoughts said to them; Every kingdom against itself having been divided is brought to desolation, and a house against a house falls.
18 તથૈવ શૈતાનપિ સ્વલોકાન્ યદિ વિરુણદ્ધિ તદા તસ્ય રાજ્યં કથં સ્થાસ્યતિ? બાલસિબૂબાહં ભૂતાન્ ત્યાજયામિ યૂયમિતિ વદથ|
If now even Satan against himself is divided, how will stand the kingdom of him? For you say by Beelzebul [am] casting out I the demons.
19 યદ્યહં બાલસિબૂબા ભૂતાન્ ત્યાજયામિ તર્હિ યુષ્માકં સન્તાનાઃ કેન ત્યાજયન્તિ? તસ્માત્ તએવ કથાયા એતસ્યા વિચારયિતારો ભવિષ્યન્તિ|
If now I myself by Beelzebul cast out the demons, the sons of you by whom do they cast out? On account of this they themselves of you judges will be.
20 કિન્તુ યદ્યહમ્ ઈશ્વરસ્ય પરાક્રમેણ ભૂતાન્ ત્યાજયામિ તર્હિ યુષ્માકં નિકટમ્ ઈશ્વરસ્ય રાજ્યમવશ્યમ્ ઉપતિષ્ઠતિ|
If however by [the] finger of God (I myself *no*) cast out the demons, then has come upon you the kingdom of God.
21 બલવાન્ પુમાન્ સુસજ્જમાનો યતિકાલં નિજાટ્ટાલિકાં રક્ષતિ તતિકાલં તસ્ય દ્રવ્યં નિરુપદ્રવં તિષ્ઠતિ|
When the strong [man] having armed himself may guard the his own house, in peace are the possessions of him;
22 કિન્તુ તસ્માદ્ અધિકબલઃ કશ્ચિદાગત્ય યદિ તં જયતિ તર્હિ યેષુ શસ્ત્રાસ્ત્રેષુ તસ્ય વિશ્વાસ આસીત્ તાનિ સર્વ્વાણિ હૃત્વા તસ્ય દ્રવ્યાણિ ગૃહ્લાતિ|
when however (*k*) [one] stronger than he having come upon [him] he may overcome him, the complete armor of him he takes away in which he had trusted, and the plunder of him he divides.
23 અતઃ કારણાદ્ યો મમ સપક્ષો ન સ વિપક્ષઃ, યો મયા સહ ન સંગૃહ્લાતિ સ વિકિરતિ|
The [one] not being with Me against Me is, and the [one] not gathering with Me scatters.
24 અપરઞ્ચ અમેધ્યભૂતો માનુષસ્યાન્તર્નિર્ગત્ય શુષ્કસ્થાને ભ્રાન્ત્વા વિશ્રામં મૃગયતે કિન્તુ ન પ્રાપ્ય વદતિ મમ યસ્માદ્ ગૃહાદ્ આગતોહં પુનસ્તદ્ ગૃહં પરાવૃત્ય યામિ|
When the unclean spirit is gone out from the man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest. and not finding [any] (then *NO*) it says; I will return to the house of mine from where I came out.
25 તતો ગત્વા તદ્ ગૃહં માર્જિતં શોભિતઞ્ચ દૃષ્ટ્વા
And having come it finds [it] (being unoccupied *O*) swept and ordered.
26 તત્ક્ષણમ્ અપગત્ય સ્વસ્માદપિ દુર્મ્મતીન્ અપરાન્ સપ્તભૂતાન્ સહાનયતિ તે ચ તદ્ગૃહં પવિશ્ય નિવસન્તિ| તસ્માત્ તસ્ય મનુષ્યસ્ય પ્રથમદશાતઃ શેષદશા દુઃખતરા ભવતિ|
Then it goes and it takes other spirits more evil than itself seven, and (having entered *NK(o)*) they dwell there; and becomes the last of the man that [one] worse than the first.
27 અસ્યાઃ કથાયાઃ કથનકાલે જનતામધ્યસ્થા કાચિન્નારી તમુચ્ચૈઃસ્વરં પ્રોવાચ, યા યોષિત્ ત્વાં ગર્બ્ભેઽધારયત્ સ્તન્યમપાયયચ્ચ સૈવ ધન્યા|
It came to pass then while [is] saying He these things, having lifted up one [her] voice a woman from the crowd said to Him; Blessed [is] the womb which having borne You, and [the] breasts at which You nursed.
28 કિન્તુ સોકથયત્ યે પરમેશ્વરસ્ય કથાં શ્રુત્વા તદનુરૂપમ્ આચરન્તિ તએવ ધન્યાઃ|
He himself then said; No rather blessed [are] those hearing the word of God and keeping (it. *k*)
29 તતઃ પરં તસ્યાન્તિકે બહુલોકાનાં સમાગમે જાતે સ વક્તુમારેભે, આધુનિકા દુષ્ટલોકાશ્ચિહ્નં દ્રષ્ટુમિચ્છન્તિ કિન્તુ યૂનસ્ભવિષ્યદ્વાદિનશ્ચિહ્નં વિનાન્યત્ કિઞ્ચિચ્ચિહ્નં તાન્ ન દર્શયિષ્યતે|
Of the now crowds being pressed around together He began to say; generation this (generation *no*) an evil is. a sign (it seeks after, *N(k)O*) and a sign not will be given to it only except the sign of Jonah (the prophet. *K*)
30 યૂનસ્ તુ યથા નીનિવીયલોકાનાં સમીપે ચિહ્નરૂપોભવત્ તથા વિદ્યમાનલોકાનામ્ એષાં સમીપે મનુષ્યપુત્રોપિ ચિહ્નરૂપો ભવિષ્યતિ|
Even as for was (*o*) Jonah to the Ninevites a sign thus will be also the Son of Man to the generation this.
31 વિચારસમયે ઇદાનીન્તનલોકાનાં પ્રાતિકૂલ્યેન દક્ષિણદેશીયા રાજ્ઞી પ્રોત્થાય તાન્ દોષિણઃ કરિષ્યતિ, યતઃ સા રાજ્ઞી સુલેમાન ઉપદેશકથાં શ્રોતું પૃથિવ્યાઃ સીમાત આગચ્છત્ કિન્તુ પશ્યત સુલેમાનોપિ ગુરુતર એકો જનોઽસ્મિન્ સ્થાને વિદ્યતે|
[The] Queen of [the] South will rise up in the judgment with the men of the generation this and will condemn them; For she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold greater than Solomon here.
32 અપરઞ્ચ વિચારસમયે નીનિવીયલોકા અપિ વર્ત્તમાનકાલિકાનાં લોકાનાં વૈપરીત્યેન પ્રોત્થાય તાન્ દોષિણઃ કરિષ્યન્તિ, યતો હેતોસ્તે યૂનસો વાક્યાત્ ચિત્તાનિ પરિવર્ત્તયામાસુઃ કિન્તુ પશ્યત યૂનસોતિગુરુતર એકો જનોઽસ્મિન્ સ્થાને વિદ્યતે|
[The] men (Ninevites *N(k)O*) will stand up in the judgment with generation this and will condemn it; For they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold greater than Jonah [is] here.
33 પ્રદીપં પ્રજ્વાલ્ય દ્રોણસ્યાધઃ કુત્રાપિ ગુપ્તસ્થાને વા કોપિ ન સ્થાપયતિ કિન્તુ ગૃહપ્રવેશિભ્યો દીપ્તિં દાતં દીપાધારોપર્ય્યેવ સ્થાપયતિ|
But no [one] (now *k*) a lamp having lit in (a cellar *N(K)O*) sets it nor [sets it] under the basket but upon the lampstand that those entering in the (light *N(k)O*) may see.
34 દેહસ્ય પ્રદીપશ્ચક્ષુસ્તસ્માદેવ ચક્ષુ ર્યદિ પ્રસન્નં ભવતિ તર્હિ તવ સર્વ્વશરીરં દીપ્તિમદ્ ભવિષ્યતિ કિન્તુ ચક્ષુ ર્યદિ મલીમસં તિષ્ઠતિ તર્હિ સર્વ્વશરીરં સાન્ધકારં સ્થાસ્યતિ|
The lamp of body is the eye (of you. *no*) When (therefore *K*) the eye of you clear may be, also all the body of you light is; when however evil it may be, also the body of you [is] dark.
35 અસ્માત્ કારણાત્ તવાન્તઃસ્થં જ્યોતિ ર્યથાન્ધકારમયં ન ભવતિ તદર્થે સાવધાનો ભવ|
do take heed therefore lest the light that [is] in you darkness be.
36 યતઃ શરીરસ્ય કુત્રાપ્યંશે સાન્ધકારે ન જાતે સર્વ્વં યદિ દીપ્તિમત્ તિષ્ઠતિ તર્હિ તુભ્યં દીપ્તિદાયિપ્રોજ્જ્વલન્ પ્રદીપ ઇવ તવ સવર્વશરીરં દીપ્તિમદ્ ભવિષ્યતિ|
If therefore the body of you [is] full of light not having part any dark, it will be light all, as when the lamp so the shining may light you.
37 એતત્કથાયાઃ કથનકાલે ફિરુશ્યેકો ભેજનાય તં નિમન્ત્રયામાસ, તતઃ સ ગત્વા ભોક્તુમ્ ઉપવિવેશ|
While then speaking (asked *N(k)O*) Him a Pharisee (a certain one *k*) that He would dine with him. having entered then He reclined.
38 કિન્તુ ભોજનાત્ પૂર્વ્વં નામાઙ્ક્ષીત્ એતદ્ દૃષ્ટ્વા સ ફિરુશ્યાશ્ચર્ય્યં મેને|
And the Pharisee having seen [it] marveled that not first He washed before the dinner.
39 તદા પ્રભુસ્તં પ્રોવાચ યૂયં ફિરૂશિલોકાઃ પાનપાત્રાણાં ભોજનપાત્રાણાઞ્ચ બહિઃ પરિષ્કુરુથ કિન્તુ યુષ્માકમન્ત ર્દૌરાત્મ્યૈ ર્દુષ્ક્રિયાભિશ્ચ પરિપૂર્ણં તિષ્ઠતિ|
Said then the Lord to him; Now you yourselves Pharisees the outside the cup and the dish you cleanse, and the inside of you is full of plundering and wickedness.
40 હે સર્વ્વે નિર્બોધા યો બહિઃ સસર્જ સ એવ કિમન્ત ર્ન સસર્જ?
Fools! Surely the [One] having made the outside also the inside made?
41 તત એવ યુષ્માભિરન્તઃકરણં (ઈશ્વરાય) નિવેદ્યતાં તસ્મિન્ કૃતે યુષ્માકં સર્વ્વાણિ શુચિતાં યાસ્યન્તિ|
But [of] the [things] being within do give alms, and behold all things clean to you are.
42 કિન્તુ હન્ત ફિરૂશિગણા યૂયં ન્યાયમ્ ઈશ્વરે પ્રેમ ચ પરિત્યજ્ય પોદિનાયા અરુદાદીનાં સર્વ્વેષાં શાકાનાઞ્ચ દશમાંશાન્ દત્થ કિન્તુ પ્રથમં પાલયિત્વા શેષસ્યાલઙ્ઘનં યુષ્માકમ્ ઉચિતમાસીત્|
But woe to you Pharisees, for you pay tithes of mint and rue and every herb and you pass by the justice and the love of God; These things (also *NO*) it was necessary for [you] to do, and those and those not (to neglect. *N(k)O*)
43 હા હા ફિરૂશિનો યૂયં ભજનગેહે પ્રોચ્ચાસને આપણેષુ ચ નમસ્કારેષુ પ્રીયધ્વે|
Woe to you Pharisees, for you love the first seat in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.
44 વત કપટિનોઽધ્યાપકાઃ ફિરૂશિનશ્ચ લોકાયત્ શ્મશાનમ્ અનુપલભ્ય તદુપરિ ગચ્છન્તિ યૂયમ્ તાદૃગપ્રકાશિતશ્મશાનવાદ્ ભવથ|
Woe to you (scribes and Pharisees hypocrites *K*) for you are like graves unmarked, and the men who are walking above not do know [it].
45 તદાનીં વ્યવસ્થાપકાનામ્ એકા યીશુમવદત્, હે ઉપદેશક વાક્યેનેદૃશેનાસ્માસ્વપિ દોષમ્ આરોપયસિ|
Answering now one of the lawyers says to Him; Teacher, these things saying also us You insult.
46 તતઃ સ ઉવાચ, હા હા વ્યવસ્થાપકા યૂયમ્ માનુષાણામ્ ઉપરિ દુઃસહ્યાન્ ભારાન્ ન્યસ્યથ કિન્તુ સ્વયમ્ એકાઙ્ગુલ્યાપિ તાન્ ભારાન્ ન સ્પૃશથ|
And He said; Also to you lawyers woe! For you burden the men [with] burdens heavy to bear and yourselves with one of the fingers of you not do touch the burdens.
47 હન્ત યુષ્માકં પૂર્વ્વપુરુષા યાન્ ભવિષ્યદ્વાદિનોઽવધિષુસ્તેષાં શ્મશાનાનિ યૂયં નિર્મ્માથ|
Woe to you, for you build the tombs of the prophets, yet the fathers of you killed them.
48 તેનૈવ યૂયં સ્વપૂર્વ્વપુરુષાણાં કર્મ્માણિ સંમન્યધ્વે તદેવ સપ્રમાણં કુરુથ ચ, યતસ્તે તાનવધિષુઃ યૂયં તેષાં શ્મશાનાનિ નિર્મ્માથ|
So (witnesses *N(k)O*) (you are *no*) and you consent to the works of the fathers of you; For they themselves indeed killed them, you yourselves however build (of them *K*) (the *k*) (monuments. *K*)
49 અતએવ ઈશ્વરસ્ય શાસ્ત્રે પ્રોક્તમસ્તિ તેષામન્તિકે ભવિષ્યદ્વાદિનઃ પ્રેરિતાંશ્ચ પ્રેષયિષ્યામિ તતસ્તે તેષાં કાંશ્ચન હનિષ્યન્તિ કાંશ્ચન તાડશ્ષ્યિન્તિ|
Because of this also the Wisdom of God said; I will send to them prophets and apostles. and [some] of them they will kill and (will pursue *N(k)O*)
50 એતસ્માત્ કારણાત્ હાબિલઃ શોણિતપાતમારભ્ય મન્દિરયજ્ઞવેદ્યો ર્મધ્યે હતસ્ય સિખરિયસ્ય રક્તપાતપર્ય્યન્તં
so that may be charged the blood of all the prophets which (poured out *N(k)O*) from [the] foundation of [the] world against generation this,
51 જગતઃ સૃષ્ટિમારભ્ય પૃથિવ્યાં ભવિષ્યદ્વાદિનાં યતિરક્તપાતા જાતાસ્તતીનામ્ અપરાધદણ્ડા એષાં વર્ત્તમાનલોકાનાં ભવિષ્યન્તિ, યુષ્માનહં નિશ્ચિતં વદામિ સર્વ્વે દણ્ડા વંશસ્યાસ્ય ભવિષ્યન્તિ|
from (the *k*) blood of Abel until (the *k*) blood of Zechariah the [one] having perished between the altar and the house. Yes I say to you, it will be required of generation this.
52 હા હા વ્યવસ્થપકા યૂયં જ્ઞાનસ્ય કુઞ્ચિકાં હૃત્વા સ્વયં ન પ્રવિષ્ટા યે પ્રવેષ્ટુઞ્ચ પ્રયાસિનસ્તાનપિ પ્રવેષ્ટું વારિતવન્તઃ|
Woe to you lawyers, for you have taken away the key of the knowledge. You yourselves not did enter and those entering you hindered.
53 ઇત્થં કથાકથનાદ્ અધ્યાપકાઃ ફિરૂશિનશ્ચ સતર્કાઃ
(And from there And from there *no*) (when was expressing *N(k)O*) (now *k*) He (these things to them *k*) [then] began the scribes and the Pharisees urgently to press upon [Him] and to make speak Him about many things
54 સન્તસ્તમપવદિતું તસ્ય કથાયા દોષં ધર્ત્તમિચ્છન્તો નાનાખ્યાનકથનાય તં પ્રવર્ત્તયિતું કોપયિતુઞ્ચ પ્રારેભિરે|
watching Him (and *K*) (seeking *KO*) to catch in something out of the mouth of Him (so that they may accuse him. *KO*)
