યોહનઃ 20
1 અનન્તરં સપ્તાહસ્ય પ્રથમદિને ઽતિપ્રત્યૂષે ઽન્ધકારે તિષ્ઠતિ મગ્દલીની મરિયમ્ તસ્ય શ્મશાનસ્ય નિકટં ગત્વા શ્મશાનસ્ય મુખાત્ પ્રસ્તરમપસારિતમ્ અપશ્યત્|
And on the first [day] of the weeks, Mary the Magdalene comes early (there being yet darkness) to the tomb, and she sees the stone having been taken away out of the tomb;
2 પશ્ચાદ્ ધાવિત્વા શિમોન્પિતરાય યીશોઃ પ્રિયતમશિષ્યાય ચેદમ્ અકથયત્, લોકાઃ શ્મશાનાત્ પ્રભું નીત્વા કુત્રાસ્થાપયન્ તદ્ વક્તું ન શક્નોમિ|
she runs, therefore, and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus was cherishing, and says to them, “They took away the Lord out of the tomb, and we have not known where they laid Him.”
3 અતઃ પિતરઃ સોન્યશિષ્યશ્ચ બર્હિ ર્ભુત્વા શ્મશાનસ્થાનં ગન્તુમ્ આરભેતાં|
Peter, therefore, went forth, and the other disciple, and they were coming to the tomb,
4 ઉભયોર્ધાવતોઃ સોન્યશિષ્યઃ પિતરં પશ્ચાત્ ત્યક્ત્વા પૂર્વ્વં શ્મશાનસ્થાન ઉપસ્થિતવાન્|
and the two were running together, and the other disciple ran forward more quickly than Peter, and came first to the tomb,
5 તદા પ્રહ્વીભૂય સ્થાપિતવસ્ત્રાણિ દૃષ્ટવાન્ કિન્તુ ન પ્રાવિશત્|
and having stooped down, sees the linen clothes lying, yet, indeed, he did not enter.
6 અપરં શિમોન્પિતર આગત્ય શ્મશાનસ્થાનં પ્રવિશ્ય
Simon Peter, therefore, comes, following him, and he entered into the tomb, and beholds the linen clothes lying [there],
7 સ્થાપિતવસ્ત્રાણિ મસ્તકસ્ય વસ્ત્રઞ્ચ પૃથક્ સ્થાનાન્તરે સ્થાપિતં દૃષ્ટવાન્|
and the napkin that was on His head not lying with the linen clothes, but apart, having been folded up, in one place;
8 તતઃ શ્મશાનસ્થાનં પૂર્વ્વમ્ આગતો યોન્યશિષ્યઃ સોપિ પ્રવિશ્ય તાદૃશં દૃષ્ટા વ્યશ્વસીત્|
then, therefore, the other disciple who came first to the tomb entered also, and he saw and believed;
9 યતઃ શ્મશાનાત્ સ ઉત્થાપયિતવ્ય એતસ્ય ધર્મ્મપુસ્તકવચનસ્ય ભાવં તે તદા વોદ્ધું નાશન્કુવન્|
for they did not yet know the Writing, that it was necessary for Him to rise again out of the dead.
10 અનન્તરં તૌ દ્વૌ શિષ્યૌ સ્વં સ્વં ગૃહં પરાવૃત્યાગચ્છતામ્|
The disciples therefore went away again to their own friends,
11 તતઃ પરં મરિયમ્ શ્મશાનદ્વારસ્ય બહિઃ સ્થિત્વા રોદિતુમ્ આરભત તતો રુદતી પ્રહ્વીભૂય શ્મશાનં વિલોક્ય
and Mary was standing near the tomb, weeping outside; as she was weeping, then, she stooped down into the tomb, and beholds two messengers in white, sitting,
12 યીશોઃ શયનસ્થાનસ્ય શિરઃસ્થાને પદતલે ચ દ્વયો ર્દિશો દ્વૌ સ્વર્ગીયદૂતાવુપવિષ્ટૌ સમપશ્યત્|
one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been laid.
13 તૌ પૃષ્ટવન્તૌ હે નારિ કુતો રોદિષિ? સાવદત્ લોકા મમ પ્રભું નીત્વા કુત્રાસ્થાપયન્ ઇતિ ન જાનામિ|
And they say to her, “Woman, why do you weep?” She says to them, “Because they took away my Lord, and I have not known where they laid Him”;
14 ઇત્યુક્ત્વા મુખં પરાવૃત્ય યીશું દણ્ડાયમાનમ્ અપશ્યત્ કિન્તુ સ યીશુરિતિ સા જ્ઞાતું નાશક્નોત્|
and having said these things, she turned backward, and sees Jesus standing, and she had not known that it is Jesus.
15 તદા યીશુસ્તામ્ અપૃચ્છત્ હે નારિ કુતો રોદિષિ? કં વા મૃગયસે? તતઃ સા તમ્ ઉદ્યાનસેવકં જ્ઞાત્વા વ્યાહરત્, હે મહેચ્છ ત્વં યદીતઃ સ્થાનાત્ તં નીતવાન્ તર્હિ કુત્રાસ્થાપયસ્તદ્ વદ તત્સ્થાનાત્ તમ્ આનયામિ|
Jesus says to her, “Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek?” She, supposing that He is the gardener, says to Him, “Lord, if You carried Him away, tell me where You laid Him, and I will take Him away”;
16 તદા યીશુસ્તામ્ અવદત્ હે મરિયમ્| તતઃ સા પરાવૃત્ય પ્રત્યવદત્ હે રબ્બૂની અર્થાત્ હે ગુરો|
Jesus says to her, “Mary!” Having turned, she says to Him, “Rabboni!” That is to say, “Teacher.”
17 તદા યીશુરવદત્ માં મા ધર, ઇદાનીં પિતુઃ સમીપે ઊર્દ્ધ્વગમનં ન કરોમિ કિન્તુ યો મમ યુષ્માકઞ્ચ પિતા મમ યુષ્માકઞ્ચેશ્વરસ્તસ્ય નિકટ ઊર્દ્ધ્વગમનં કર્ત્તુમ્ ઉદ્યતોસ્મિ, ઇમાં કથાં ત્વં ગત્વા મમ ભ્રાતૃગણં જ્ઞાપય|
Jesus says to her, “Do not be touching Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; and be going on to My brothers, and say to them, I ascend to My Father and your Father, and [to] My God and your God.”
18 તતો મગ્દલીનીમરિયમ્ તત્ક્ષણાદ્ ગત્વા પ્રભુસ્તસ્યૈ દર્શનં દત્ત્વા કથા એતા અકથયદ્ ઇતિ વાર્ત્તાં શિષ્યેભ્યોઽકથયત્|
Mary the Magdalene comes, reporting to the disciples that she has seen the LORD, and [that] He said these things to her.
19 તતઃ પરં સપ્તાહસ્ય પ્રથમદિનસ્ય સન્ધ્યાસમયે શિષ્યા એકત્ર મિલિત્વા યિહૂદીયેભ્યો ભિયા દ્વારરુદ્ધમ્ અકુર્વ્વન્, એતસ્મિન્ કાલે યીશુસ્તેષાં મધ્યસ્થાને તિષ્ઠન્ અકથયદ્ યુષ્માકં કલ્યાણં ભૂયાત્|
It being, therefore, evening, on that day, the first [day] of the weeks, and the doors having been shut where the disciples were assembled through fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, “Peace to you”;
20 ઇત્યુક્ત્વા નિજહસ્તં કુક્ષિઞ્ચ દર્શિતવાન્, તતઃ શિષ્યાઃ પ્રભું દૃષ્ટ્વા હૃષ્ટા અભવન્|
and having said this, He showed them His hands and side; the disciples, therefore, rejoiced, having seen the LORD.
21 યીશુઃ પુનરવદદ્ યુષ્માકં કલ્યાણં ભૂયાત્ પિતા યથા માં પ્રૈષયત્ તથાહમપિ યુષ્માન્ પ્રેષયામિ|
Jesus, therefore, said to them again, “Peace to you; according as the Father has sent Me, I also send you”;
22 ઇત્યુક્ત્વા સ તેષામુપરિ દીર્ઘપ્રશ્વાસં દત્ત્વા કથિતવાન્ પવિત્રમ્ આત્માનં ગૃહ્લીત|
having said this, He breathed on [them], and says to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit;
23 યૂયં યેષાં પાપાનિ મોચયિષ્યથ તે મોચયિષ્યન્તે યેષાઞ્ચ પાપાતિ ન મોચયિષ્યથ તે ન મોચયિષ્યન્તે|
if you may forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you may retain of any, they have been retained.”
24 દ્વાદશમધ્યે ગણિતો યમજો થોમાનામા શિષ્યો યીશોરાગમનકાલૈ તૈઃ સાર્દ્ધં નાસીત્|
And Thomas, one of the Twelve, who is called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came;
25 અતો વયં પ્રભૂમ્ અપશ્યામેતિ વાક્યેઽન્યશિષ્યૈરુક્તે સોવદત્, તસ્ય હસ્તયો ર્લૌહકીલકાનાં ચિહ્નં ન વિલોક્ય તચ્ચિહ્નમ્ અઙ્ગુલ્યા ન સ્પૃષ્ટ્વા તસ્ય કુક્ષૌ હસ્તં નારોપ્ય ચાહં ન વિશ્વસિષ્યામિ|
the other disciples, therefore, said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” And he said to them, “If I may not see the mark of the nails in His hands, and may [not] put my finger into the mark of the nails, and may [not] put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26 અપરમ્ અષ્ટમેઽહ્નિ ગતે સતિ થોમાસહિતઃ શિષ્યગણ એકત્ર મિલિત્વા દ્વારં રુદ્ધ્વાભ્યન્તર આસીત્, એતર્હિ યીશુસ્તેષાં મધ્યસ્થાને તિષ્ઠન્ અકથયત્, યુષ્માકં કુશલં ભૂયાત્|
And after eight days, again His disciples were within, and Thomas [was] with them; Jesus comes, the doors having been shut, and He stood in the midst and said, “Peace to you!”
27 પશ્ચાત્ થામૈ કથિતવાન્ ત્વમ્ અઙ્ગુલીમ્ અત્રાર્પયિત્વા મમ કરૌ પશ્ય કરં પ્રસાર્ય્ય મમ કુક્ષાવર્પય નાવિશ્વસ્ય|
Then He says to Thomas, “Bring your finger here, and see My hands, and bring your hand, and put [it] into My side, and do not become unbelieving, but believing.”
28 તદા થોમા અવદત્, હે મમ પ્રભો હે મદીશ્વર|
And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 યીશુરકથયત્, હે થોમા માં નિરીક્ષ્ય વિશ્વસિષિ યે ન દૃષ્ટ્વા વિશ્વસન્તિ તએવ ધન્યાઃ|
Jesus says to him, “Because you have seen Me, Thomas, you have believed; blessed [are] those having not seen, and having believed.”
30 એતદન્યાનિ પુસ્તકેઽસ્મિન્ અલિખિતાનિ બહૂન્યાશ્ચર્ય્યકર્મ્માણિ યીશુઃ શિષ્યાણાં પુરસ્તાદ્ અકરોત્|
Many indeed, therefore, other signs Jesus also did before His disciples that are not written in this scroll;
31 કિન્તુ યીશુરીશ્વરસ્યાભિષિક્તઃ સુત એવેતિ યથા યૂયં વિશ્વસિથ વિશ્વસ્ય ચ તસ્ય નામ્ના પરમાયુઃ પ્રાપ્નુથ તદર્થમ્ એતાનિ સર્વ્વાણ્યલિખ્યન્ત|
and these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, you may have life in His Name.
