પ્રેરિતાઃ 11

1 ઇત્થં ભિન્નદેશીયલોકા અપીશ્વરસ્ય વાક્યમ્ અગૃહ્લન્ ઇમાં વાર્ત્તાં યિહૂદીયદેશસ્થપ્રેરિતા ભ્રાતૃગણશ્ચ શ્રુતવન્તઃ|

Nowe the Apostles and the brethren that were in Iudea, heard, that the Gentiles had also receiued the worde of God.

2 તતઃ પિતરે યિરૂશાલમ્નગરં ગતવતિ ત્વક્છેદિનો લોકાસ્તેન સહ વિવદમાના અવદન્,

And when Peter was come vp to Hierusalem, they of the circumcision contended against him,

3 ત્વમ્ અત્વક્છેદિલોકાનાં ગૃહં ગત્વા તૈઃ સાર્દ્ધં ભુક્તવાન્|

Saying, Thou wentest in to men vncircumcised, and hast eaten with them.

4 તતઃ પિતર આદિતઃ ક્રમશસ્તત્કાર્ય્યસ્ય સર્વ્વવૃત્તાન્તમાખ્યાતુમ્ આરબ્ધવાન્|

Then Peter beganne, and expounded the thing in order to them, saying,

5 યાફોનગર એકદાહં પ્રાર્થયમાનો મૂર્ચ્છિતઃ સન્ દર્શનેન ચતુર્ષુ કોણેષુ લમ્બનમાનં વૃહદ્વસ્ત્રમિવ પાત્રમેકમ્ આકાશદવરુહ્ય મન્નિકટમ્ આગચ્છદ્ અપશ્યમ્|

I was in the citie of Ioppa, praying, and in a trance I sawe this vision, A certaine vessell comming downe as it had bene a great sheete, let downe from heauen by the foure corners, and it came to me.

6 પશ્ચાત્ તદ્ અનન્યદૃષ્ટ્યા દૃષ્ટ્વા વિવિચ્ય તસ્ય મધ્યે નાનાપ્રકારાન્ ગ્રામ્યવન્યપશૂન્ ઉરોગામિખેચરાંશ્ચ દૃષ્ટવાન્;

Towarde the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and sawe foure footed beastes of the earth, and wilde beastes, and creeping things, and foules of the heauen.

7 હે પિતર ત્વમુત્થાય ગત્વા ભુંક્ષ્વ માં સમ્બોધ્ય કથયન્તં શબ્દમેકં શ્રુતવાંશ્ચ|

Also I heard a voyce, saying vnto me, Arise, Peter: slay and eate.

8 તતોહં પ્રત્યવદં, હે પ્રભો નેત્થં ભવતુ, યતઃ કિઞ્ચન નિષિદ્ધમ્ અશુચિ દ્રવ્યં વા મમ મુખમધ્યં કદાપિ ન પ્રાવિશત્|

And I said, God forbid, Lord: for nothing polluted or vncleane hath at any time entred into my mouth.

9 અપરમ્ ઈશ્વરો યત્ શુચિ કૃતવાન્ તન્નિષિદ્ધં ન જાનીહિ દ્વિ ર્મામ્પ્રતીદૃશી વિહાયસીયા વાણી જાતા|

But the voyce answered me the seconde time from heauen, The things that God hath purified, pollute thou not.

10 ત્રિરિત્થં સતિ તત્ સર્વ્વં પુનરાકાશમ્ આકૃષ્ટં|

And this was done three times, and all were taken vp againe into heauen.

11 પશ્ચાત્ કૈસરિયાનગરાત્ ત્રયો જના મન્નિકટં પ્રેષિતા યત્ર નિવેશને સ્થિતોહં તસ્મિન્ સમયે તત્રોપાતિષ્ઠન્|

Then behold, immediatly there were three men already come vnto the house where I was, sent from Cesarea vnto me.

12 તદા નિઃસન્દેહં તૈઃ સાર્દ્ધં યાતુમ્ આત્મા મામાદિષ્ટવાન્; તતઃ પરં મયા સહૈતેષુ ષડ્ભ્રાતૃષુ ગતેષુ વયં તસ્ય મનુજસ્ય ગૃહં પ્રાવિશામ|

And the Spirit saide vnto me, that I should go with them, without doubting: moreouer these sixe brethren came with me, and we entred into the mans house.

13 સોસ્માકં નિકટે કથામેતામ્ અકથયત્ એકદા દૂત એકઃ પ્રત્યક્ષીભૂય મમ ગૃહમધ્યે તિષ્ટન્ મામિત્યાજ્ઞાપિતવાન્, યાફોનગરં પ્રતિ લોકાન્ પ્રહિત્ય પિતરનામ્ના વિખ્યાતં શિમોનમ્ આહૂયય;

And he shewed vs, howe he had seene an Angel in his house, which stoode and said to him, Send men to Ioppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter.

14 તતસ્તવ ત્વદીયપરિવારાણાઞ્ચ યેન પરિત્રાણં ભવિષ્યતિ તત્ સ ઉપદેક્ષ્યતિ|

He shall speake wordes vnto thee, whereby both thou and all thine house shalbe saued.

15 અહં તાં કથામુત્થાપ્ય કથિતવાન્ તેન પ્રથમમ્ અસ્માકમ્ ઉપરિ યથા પવિત્ર આત્માવરૂઢવાન્ તથા તેષામપ્યુપરિ સમવરૂઢવાન્|

And as I began to speake, the holy Ghost fell on them, euen as vpon vs at the beginning.

16 તેન યોહન્ જલે મજ્જિતવાન્ ઇતિ સત્યં કિન્તુ યૂયં પવિત્ર આત્મનિ મજ્જિતા ભવિષ્યથ, ઇતિ યદ્વાક્યં પ્રભુરુદિતવાન્ તત્ તદા મયા સ્મૃતમ્|

Then I remembred the word of the Lord, howe he said, Iohn baptized with water, but ye shalbe baptized with the holy Ghost.

17 અતઃ પ્રભા યીશુખ્રીષ્ટે પ્રત્યયકારિણો યે વયમ્ અસ્મભ્યમ્ ઈશ્વરો યદ્ દત્તવાન્ તત્ તેભ્યો લોકેભ્યોપિ દત્તવાન્ તતઃ કોહં? કિમહમ્ ઈશ્વરં વારયિતું શક્નોમિ?

For as much then as God gaue them a like gift, as he did vnto vs, when we beleeued in the Lord Iesus Christ, who was I, that I coulde let God?

18 કથામેતાં શ્રુવા તે ક્ષાન્તા ઈશ્વરસ્ય ગુણાન્ અનુકીર્ત્ત્ય કથિતવન્તઃ, તર્હિ પરમાયુઃપ્રાપ્તિનિમિત્તમ્ ઈશ્વરોન્યદેશીયલોકેભ્યોપિ મનઃપરિવર્ત્તનરૂપં દાનમ્ અદાત્|

When they heard these things, they helde their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles graunted repentance vnto life.

19 સ્તિફાનં પ્રતિ ઉપદ્રવે ઘટિતે યે વિકીર્ણા અભવન્ તૈ ફૈનીકીકુપ્રાન્તિયખિયાસુ ભ્રમિત્વા કેવલયિહૂદીયલોકાન્ વિના કસ્યાપ્યન્યસ્ય સમીપ ઈશ્વરસ્ય કથાં ન પ્રાચારયન્|

And they which were scattered abroade because of the affliction that arose about Steuen, went throughout till they came vnto Phenice and Cyprus, and Antiochia, preaching the worde to no man, but vnto the Iewes onely.

20 અપરં તેષાં કુપ્રીયાઃ કુરીનીયાશ્ચ કિયન્તો જના આન્તિયખિયાનગરં ગત્વા યૂનાનીયલોકાનાં સમીપેપિ પ્રભોર્યીશોઃ કથાં પ્રાચારયન્|

Now some of them were men of Cyprus and of Cyrene, which when they were come into Antiochia, spake vnto the Grecians, and preached the Lord Iesus.

21 પ્રભોઃ કરસ્તેષાં સહાય આસીત્ તસ્માદ્ અનેકે લોકા વિશ્વસ્ય પ્રભું પ્રતિ પરાવર્ત્તન્ત|

And the hand of the Lord was with them, so that a great number beleeued and turned vnto the Lord.

22 ઇતિ વાર્ત્તાયાં યિરૂશાલમસ્થમણ્ડલીયલોકાનાં કર્ણગોચરીભૂતાયામ્ આન્તિયખિયાનગરં ગન્તુ તે બર્ણબ્બાં પ્રૈરયન્|

Then tydings of those things came vnto the eares of the Church, which was in Hierusalem, and they sent foorth Barnabas, that he should goe vnto Antiochia.

23 તતો બર્ણબ્બાસ્તત્ર ઉપસ્થિતઃ સન્ ઈશ્વરસ્યાનુગ્રહસ્ય ફલં દૃષ્ટ્વા સાનન્દો જાતઃ,

Who when he was come and had seene the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted all, that with purpose of heart they would continue in the Lord.

24 સ સ્વયં સાધુ ર્વિશ્વાસેન પવિત્રેણાત્મના ચ પરિપૂર્ણઃ સન્ ગનોનિષ્ટયા પ્રભાવાસ્થાં કર્ત્તું સર્વ્વાન્ ઉપદિષ્ટવાન્ તેન પ્રભોઃ શિષ્યા અનેકે બભૂવુઃ|

For he was a good man, and full of the holy Ghost, and faith, and much people ioyned them selues vnto the Lord.

25 શેષે શૌલં મૃગયિતું બર્ણબ્બાસ્તાર્ષનગરં પ્રસ્થિતવાન્| તત્ર તસ્યોદ્દેશં પ્રાપ્ય તમ્ આન્તિયખિયાનગરમ્ આનયત્;

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus to seeke Saul:

26 તતસ્તૌ મણ્ડલીસ્થલોકૈઃ સભાં કૃત્વા સંવત્સરમેકં યાવદ્ બહુલોકાન્ ઉપાદિશતાં; તસ્મિન્ આન્તિયખિયાનગરે શિષ્યાઃ પ્રથમં ખ્રીષ્ટીયનામ્ના વિખ્યાતા અભવન્|

And when he had founde him, he brought him vnto Antiochia: and it came to passe that a whole yere they were conuersant with ye Church, and taught much people, in so much that the disciples were first called Christians in Antiochia.

27 તતઃ પરં ભવિષ્યદ્વાદિગણે યિરૂશાલમ આન્તિયખિયાનગરમ્ આગતે સતિ

In those dayes also came Prophets from Hierusalem vnto Antiochia.

28 આગાબનામા તેષામેક ઉત્થાય આત્મનઃ શિક્ષયા સર્વ્વદેશે દુર્ભિક્ષં ભવિષ્યતીતિ જ્ઞાપિતવાન્; તતઃ ક્લૌદિયકૈસરસ્યાધિકારે સતિ તત્ પ્રત્યક્ષમ્ અભવત્|

And there stoode vp one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit, that there should be great famine throughout all the world, which also came to passe vnder Claudius Cesar.

29 તસ્માત્ શિષ્યા એકૈકશઃ સ્વસ્વશક્ત્યનુસારતો યિહૂદીયદેશનિવાસિનાં ભ્રતૃણાં દિનયાપનાર્થં ધનં પ્રેષયિતું નિશ્ચિત્ય

Then the disciples, euery man according to his ability, purposed to sende succour vnto the brethren which dwelt in Iudea.

30 બર્ણબ્બાશૌલયો ર્દ્વારા પ્રાચીનલોકાનાં સમીપં તત્ પ્રેષિતવન્તઃ|

Which thing they also did, and sent it to the Elders, by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
