1 anantaraM yIzuH puna rbhajanagRhaM praviSTastasmin sthAnE zuSkahasta EkO mAnava AsIt|
And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered.
2 sa vizrAmavArE tamarOgiNaM kariSyati navEtyatra bahavastam apavadituM chidramapEkSitavantaH|
They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
3 tadA sa taM zuSkahastaM manuSyaM jagAda madhyasthAnE tvamuttiSTha|
He said to the man with the withered hand, "Stand up in the middle."
4 tataH paraM sa tAn papraccha vizrAmavArE hitamahitaM tathA hi prANarakSA vA prANanAza ESAM madhyE kiM karaNIyaM? kintu tE niHzabdAstasthuH|
He said to them, "Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?" But they were silent.
5 tadA sa tESAmantaHkaraNAnAM kAThinyAddhEtO rduHkhitaH krOdhAt cartudazO dRSTavAn taM mAnuSaM gaditavAn taM hastaM vistAraya, tatastEna hastE vistRtE taddhastO'nyahastavad arOgO jAtaH|
When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.
6 atha phirUzinaH prasthAya taM nAzayituM hErOdIyaiH saha mantrayitumArEbhirE|
The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
7 ataEva yIzustatsthAnaM parityajya ziSyaiH saha punaH sAgarasamIpaM gataH;
Yeshua withdrew to the lake with his disciples, and a large crowd followed from Galila, from Yehuda,
8 tatO gAlIlyihUdA-yirUzAlam-idOm-yardannadIpArasthAnEbhyO lOkasamUhastasya pazcAd gataH; tadanyaH sOrasIdanOH samIpavAsilOkasamUhazca tasya mahAkarmmaNAM vArttaM zrutvA tasya sannidhimAgataH|
and from Urishlim, and from Idumea, and beyond the Yurdinan, and those from around Tsur and Tsaidan. A large crowd, when they heard what great things he did, came to him.
9 tadA lOkasamUhazcEt tasyOpari patati ityAzagkya sa nAvamEkAM nikaTE sthApayituM ziSyAnAdiSTavAn|
And he told his disciples that a small boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they would not press on him.
10 yatO'nEkamanuSyANAmArOgyakaraNAd vyAdhigrastAH sarvvE taM spraSTuM parasparaM balEna yatnavantaH|
For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.
11 aparanjca apavitrabhUtAstaM dRSTvA taccaraNayOH patitvA prOcaiH prOcuH, tvamIzvarasya putraH|
And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and shouted, saying, "You are the Son of God."
12 kintu sa tAn dRPham AjnjApya svaM paricAyituM niSiddhavAn|
And he sternly warned them that they should not make him known.
13 anantaraM sa parvvatamAruhya yaM yaM praticchA taM tamAhUtavAn tatastE tatsamIpamAgatAH|
And he went up into the mountain, and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.
14 tadA sa dvAdazajanAn svEna saha sthAtuM susaMvAdapracArAya prEritA bhavituM
And he appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach,
15 sarvvaprakAravyAdhInAM zamanakaraNAya prabhAvaM prAptuM bhUtAn tyAjayitunjca niyuktavAn|
to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons.
16 tESAM nAmAnImAni, zimOn sivadiputrO
And he appointed the twelve. And to Shimon he gave the name Kipha;
17 yAkUb tasya bhrAtA yOhan ca AndriyaH philipO barthalamayaH,
and Yaquv the son of Zabedai, and Yukhanan the brother of Yaquv (and he gave them the names Boanerges, which is to say, Sons of Thunder);
18 mathI thOmA ca AlphIyaputrO yAkUb thaddIyaH kinAnIyaH zimOn yastaM parahastESvarpayiSyati sa ISkariyOtIyayihUdAzca|
and Andreus, and Philipus, and Bar-Tulmai, and Mattai, and Tama, and Yaquv the son of Khalphai, and Taddai, and Shimon the Zealot;
19 sa zimOnE pitara ityupanAma dadau yAkUbyOhanbhyAM ca binErigiz arthatO mEghanAdaputrAvityupanAma dadau|
and Yehudah Sekariuta, who also betrayed him.
20 anantaraM tE nivEzanaM gatAH, kintu tatrApi punarmahAn janasamAgamO 'bhavat tasmAttE bhOktumapyavakAzaM na prAptAH|
And he came into a house, and the crowd came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
21 tatastasya suhRllOkA imAM vArttAM prApya sa hatajnjAnObhUd iti kathAM kathayitvA taM dhRtvAnEtuM gatAH|
And when his family heard it, they went out to take charge of him: for they said, "He is out of his mind."
22 aparanjca yirUzAlama AgatA yE yE'dhyApakAstE jagadurayaM puruSO bhUtapatyAbiSTastEna bhUtapatinA bhUtAn tyAjayati|
And the scribes who came down from Urishlim said, "He has Baelzebub," and, "By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons."
23 tatastAnAhUya yIzu rdRSTAntaiH kathAM kathitavAn zaitAn kathaM zaitAnaM tyAjayituM zaknOti?
And so he summoned them, and said to them in parables, "How can Satana cast out Satana?
24 kinjcana rAjyaM yadi svavirOdhEna pRthag bhavati tarhi tad rAjyaM sthiraM sthAtuM na zaknOti|
And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 tathA kasyApi parivArO yadi parasparaM virOdhI bhavati tarhi sOpi parivAraH sthiraM sthAtuM na zaknOti|
And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.
26 tadvat zaitAn yadi svavipakSatayA uttiSThan bhinnO bhavati tarhi sOpi sthiraM sthAtuM na zaknOti kintUcchinnO bhavati|
And if Satana has risen up against himself, and is divided, he will not be able to stand, but has an end.
27 aparanjca prabalaM janaM prathamaM na baddhA kOpi tasya gRhaM pravizya dravyANi luNThayituM na zaknOti, taM badvvaiva tasya gRhasya dravyANi luNThayituM zaknOti|
But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.
28 atOhEtO ryuSmabhyamahaM satyaM kathayAmi manuSyANAM santAnA yAni yAni pApAnIzvaranindAnjca kurvvanti tESAM tatsarvvESAmaparAdhAnAM kSamA bhavituM zaknOti,
Truly I tell you, all human sins will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
29 kintu yaH kazcit pavitramAtmAnaM nindati tasyAparAdhasya kSamA kadApi na bhaviSyati sOnantadaNPasyArhO bhaviSyati| (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but whoever may blaspheme against the Rukha d'Qudsha never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin"? (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
30 tasyApavitrabhUtO'sti tESAmEtatkathAhEtOH sa itthaM kathitavAn|
because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."
31 atha tasya mAtA bhrAtRgaNazcAgatya bahistiSThanatO lOkAn prESya tamAhUtavantaH|
And then his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
32 tatastatsannidhau samupaviSTA lOkAstaM babhASirE pazya bahistava mAtA bhrAtarazca tvAm anvicchanti|
And a crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Look, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you."
33 tadA sa tAn pratyuvAca mama mAtA kA bhrAtarO vA kE? tataH paraM sa svamIpOpaviSTAn ziSyAn prati avalOkanaM kRtvA kathayAmAsa
And he answered them, saying, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"
34 pazyataitE mama mAtA bhrAtarazca|
And looking around at those who sat around him, he said, "Look, my mother and my brothers.
35 yaH kazcid IzvarasyESTAM kriyAM karOti sa Eva mama bhrAtA bhaginI mAtA ca|
For whoever does the will of God, this one is my brother, and my sister, and mother."
