1 atO hEtO rbhinnajAtIyAnAM yuSmAkaM nimittaM yIzukhrISTasya bandI yaH sO'haM paulO bravImi|
For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—
2 yuSmadartham IzvarENa mahyaM dattasya varasya niyamaH kIdRzastad yuSmAbhirazrAvIti manyE|
surely you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me for you,
3 arthataH pUrvvaM mayA saMkSEpENa yathA likhitaM tathAhaM prakAzitavAkyEnEzvarasya nigUPhaM bhAvaM jnjApitO'bhavaM|
how that by revelation He made known to me the ‘secret’ (as I have written briefly already,
4 atO yuSmAbhistat paThitvA khrISTamadhi tasminnigUPhE bhAvE mama jnjAnaM kIdRzaM tad bhOtsyatE|
with reference to which, when you read, you can understand my insight into Christ's secret),
5 pUrvvayugESu mAnavasantAnAstaM jnjApitA nAsan kintvadhunA sa bhAvastasya pavitrAn prEritAn bhaviSyadvAdinazca pratyAtmanA prakAzitO'bhavat;
which in different generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:
6 arthata Izvarasya zaktEH prakAzAt tasyAnugrahENa yO varO mahyam adAyi tEnAhaM yasya susaMvAdasya paricArakO'bhavaM,
that the Gentiles are joint-heirs, of the same body, and fellow partakers of His promise in the Christ through the Gospel,
7 tadvArA khrISTEna bhinnajAtIyA anyaiH sArddham EkAdhikArA EkazarIrA EkasyAH pratijnjAyA aMzinazca bhaviSyantIti|
of which I became a servant according to the gift of God's grace, the gift given to me according to the outworking of His power.
8 sarvvESAM pavitralOkAnAM kSudratamAya mahyaM varO'yam adAyi yad bhinnajAtIyAnAM madhyE bOdhAgayasya guNanidhEH khrISTasya maggalavArttAM pracArayAmi,
To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 kAlAvasthAtaH pUrvvasmAcca yO nigUPhabhAva IzvarE gupta AsIt tadIyaniyamaM sarvvAn jnjApayAmi| (aiōn g165)
and to enlighten all as to the program of the secret that from the beginning of the ages has been hidden by the God who created all things through Jesus Christ; (aiōn g165)
10 yata Izvarasya nAnArUpaM jnjAnaM yat sAmprataM samityA svargE prAdhAnyaparAkramayuktAnAM dUtAnAM nikaTE prakAzyatE tadarthaM sa yIzunA khrISTEna sarvvANi sRSTavAn|
to the intent that now, through the Church, the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realms,
11 yatO vayaM yasmin vizvasya dRPhabhaktyA nirbhayatAm Izvarasya samAgamE sAmarthyanjca
according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished by Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
12 prAptavantastamasmAkaM prabhuM yIzuM khrISTamadhi sa kAlAvasthAyAH pUrvvaM taM manOrathaM kRtavAn| (aiōn g165)
in whom we have the boldness and the access with confidence through faith in Him.
13 atO'haM yuSmannimittaM duHkhabhOgEna klAntiM yanna gacchAmIti prArthayE yatastadEva yuSmAkaM gauravaM|
Therefore I ask that you not lose heart at my afflictions on your behalf, which is your glory.
14 atO hEtOH svargapRthivyOH sthitaH kRtsnO vaMzO yasya nAmnA vikhyAtastam
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 asmatprabhO ryIzukhrISTasya pitaramuddizyAhaM jAnunI pAtayitvA tasya prabhAvanidhitO varamimaM prArthayE|
from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its name,
16 tasyAtmanA yuSmAkam AntarikapuruSasya zaktE rvRddhiH kriyatAM|
that He[F] may grant you, according to the riches of His glory: 1) to be strengthened with power by His Spirit in the inner man;
17 khrISTastu vizvAsEna yuSmAkaM hRdayESu nivasatu| prEmaNi yuSmAkaM baddhamUlatvaM susthiratvanjca bhavatu|
2) Christ to dwell in your hearts through the Faith, having been rooted and established in love
18 itthaM prasthatAyA dIrghatAyA gabhIratAyA uccatAyAzca bOdhAya sarvvaiH pavitralOkaiH prApyaM sAmarthyaM yuSmAbhi rlabhyatAM,
so that you may be fully able to grasp (with all saints) what is the breadth and length and depth and height;
19 jnjAnAtiriktaM khrISTasya prEma jnjAyatAm Izvarasya sampUrNavRddhiparyyantaM yuSmAkaM vRddhi rbhavatu ca|
and 3) to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge—so that you may be fulfilled into all the fullness of God.
20 asmAkam antarE yA zaktiH prakAzatE tayA sarvvAtiriktaM karmma kurvvan asmAkaM prArthanAM kalpanAnjcAtikramituM yaH zaknOti
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to the power that is working in us,
