1 Izvarasya gOcarE yazca yIzuH khrISTaH svIyAgamanakAlE svarAjatvEna jIvatAM mRtAnAnjca lOkAnAM vicAraM kariSyati tasya gOcarE 'haM tvAm idaM dRPham AjnjApayAmi|
I charge you, in the presence of God, and of Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead, at his appearing in his kingdom:
2 tvaM vAkyaM ghOSaya kAlE'kAlE cOtsukO bhava pUrNayA sahiSNutayA zikSayA ca lOkAn prabOdhaya bhartsaya vinayasva ca|
proclaim the word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.
3 yata EtAdRzaH samaya AyAti yasmin lOkA yathArtham upadEzam asahyamAnAH karNakaNPUyanaviziSTA bhUtvA nijAbhilASAt zikSakAn saMgrahISyanti
For there will be a time when they will not endure wholesome doctrine; but, having itching ears, they will, according to their own lusts, heap up to themselves teachers:
4 satyamatAcca zrOtrANi nivarttya vipathagAminO bhUtvOpAkhyAnESu pravarttiSyantE;
and they will, indeed, turn away their ears from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
5 kintu tvaM sarvvaviSayE prabuddhO bhava duHkhabhOgaM svIkuru susaMvAdapracArakasya karmma sAdhaya nijaparicaryyAM pUrNatvEna kuru ca|
But do you watch at all times; bear evil treatment; do the work of an evangelist; fully perform your ministry.
6 mama prANAnAm utsargO bhavati mama prasthAnakAlazcOpAtiSThat|
For I am shortly to be sacrificed, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 aham uttamayuddhaM kRtavAn gantavyamArgasyAntaM yAvad dhAvitavAn vizvAsanjca rakSitavAn|
I have combated the good combat, I have finished the race, I have continued faithful:
8 zESaM puNyamukuTaM madarthaM rakSitaM vidyatE tacca tasmin mahAdinE yathArthavicArakENa prabhunA mahyaM dAyiSyatE kEvalaM mahyam iti nahi kintu yAvantO lOkAstasyAgamanam AkAgkSantE tEbhyaH sarvvEbhyO 'pi dAyiSyatE|
henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will deliver to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them who love his appearing.
9 tvaM tvarayA matsamIpam AgantuM yatasva,

10 yatO dImA aihikasaMsAram IhamAnO mAM parityajya thiSalanIkIM gatavAn tathA krISki rgAlAtiyAM gatavAn tItazca dAlmAtiyAM gatavAn| (aiōn )
for Demas, having loved the present world, has forsaken me, and has gone to Thessalonica; Crescens into Galatia, and Titus into Dalmatia. (aiōn )
11 kEvalO lUkO mayA sArddhaM vidyatE| tvaM mArkaM sagginaM kRtvAgaccha yataH sa paricaryyayA mamOpakArI bhaviSyati,

12 tukhikanjcAham iphiSanagaraM prESitavAn|

14 kAMsyakAraH sikandarO mama bahvaniSTaM kRtavAn prabhustasya karmmaNAM samucitaphalaM dadAtu|

15 tvamapi tasmAt sAvadhAnAstiSTha yataH sO'smAkaM vAkyAnAm atIva vipakSO jAtaH|
of whom beware, for he has greatly opposed our words.
16 mama prathamapratyuttarasamayE kO'pi mama sahAyO nAbhavat sarvvE mAM paryyatyajan tAn prati tasya dOSasya gaNanA na bhUyAt;
At my first answer, no one appeared with me, but all forsook me. May it not be laid to their charge!
17 kintu prabhu rmama sahAyO 'bhavat yathA ca mayA ghOSaNA sAdhyEta bhinnajAtIyAzca sarvvE susaMvAdaM zRNuyustathA mahyaM zaktim adadAt tatO 'haM siMhasya mukhAd uddhRtaH|
However, the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me, the proclamation might be fully declared, and all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 aparaM sarvvasmAd duSkarmmataH prabhu rmAm uddhariSyati nijasvargIyarAjyaM nEtuM mAM tArayiSyati ca| tasya dhanyavAdaH sadAkAlaM bhUyAt| AmEn| (aiōn )
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me to his heavenly kingdom: to whom ne glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )

22 prabhu ryIzuH khrISTastavAtmanA saha bhUyAt| yuSmAsvanugrahO bhUyAt| AmEn|
