ယောဟနး 4
1 ယီၑုး သွယံ နာမဇ္ဇယတ် ကေဝလံ တသျ ၑိၐျာ အမဇ္ဇယတ် ကိန္တု ယောဟနော'ဓိကၑိၐျာန် သ ကရောတိ မဇ္ဇယတိ စ,
Now when the Lord learned that the Pharisees heard he was making and baptizing more disciples than John
2 ဖိရူၑိန ဣမာံ ဝါရ္တ္တာမၑၖဏွန် ဣတိ ပြဘုရဝဂတျ
(although it was not Jesus himself who baptized them, but his disciples),
3 ယိဟူဒီယဒေၑံ ဝိဟာယ ပုန ရ္ဂာလီလမ် အာဂတ်၊
he left Judea and went away to Galilee.
4 တတး ၑောမိရောဏပြဒေၑသျ မဒျေန တေန ဂန္တဝျေ သတိ
But he had to pass through Samaria.
5 ယာကူဗ် နိဇပုတြာယ ယူၐဖေ ယာံ ဘူမိမ် အဒဒါတ် တတ္သမီပသ္ထာယိ ၑောမိရောဏပြဒေၑသျ သုခါရ် နာမ္နာ ဝိချာတသျ နဂရသျ သန္နိဓာဝုပါသ္ထာတ်၊
So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of land that Jacob had given to his son Joseph.
6 တတြ ယာကူဗး ပြဟိရာသီတ်; တဒါ ဒွိတီယယာမဝေလာယာံ ဇာတာယာံ သ မာရ္ဂေ ၑြမာပန္နသ္တသျ ပြဟေး ပါရ္ၑွေ ဥပါဝိၑတ်၊
Jacob's well was there, so Jesus, wearied as he was from the journey, sat by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 ဧတရှိ ကာစိတ် ၑောမိရောဏီယာ ယောၐိတ် တောယောတ္တောလနာရ္ထမ် တတြာဂမတ္
When a woman from Samaria came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Give me some water to drink.”
8 တဒါ ၑိၐျား ခါဒျဒြဝျာဏိ ကြေတုံ နဂရမ် အဂစ္ဆန်၊
(For his disciples had gone into the city to buy food.)
9 ယီၑုး ၑောမိရောဏီယာံ တာံ ယောၐိတမ် ဝျာဟာရ္ၐီတ် မဟျံ ကိဉ္စိတ် ပါနီယံ ပါတုံ ဒေဟိ၊ ကိန္တု ၑောမိရောဏီယဲး သာကံ ယိဟူဒီယလောကာ န ဝျဝါဟရန် တသ္မာဒ္ဓေတေား သာကထယတ် ၑောမိရောဏီယာ ယောၐိတဒဟံ တွံ ယိဟူဒီယောသိ ကထံ မတ္တး ပါနီယံ ပါတုမ် ဣစ္ဆသိ?
So the Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that yoʋ, being a Jew, ask for water to drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10 တတော ယီၑုရဝဒဒ် ဤၑွရသျ ယဒ္ဒါနံ တတ္ကီဒၖက် ပါနီယံ ပါတုံ မဟျံ ဒေဟိ ယ ဣတ္ထံ တွာံ ယာစတေ သ ဝါ က ဣတိ စေဒဇ္ဉာသျထာသ္တရှိ တမယာစိၐျထား သ စ တုဘျမမၖတံ တောယမဒါသျတ်၊
Jesus answered her, “If yoʋ knew the gift of God and who it is that is saying to yoʋ, ‘Give me some water to drink,’ yoʋ would have asked him, and he would have given yoʋ living water.”
11 တဒါ သာ သီမန္တိနီ ဘာၐိတဝတိ, ဟေ မဟေစ္ဆ ပြဟိရ္ဂမ္ဘီရော ဘဝတော နီရောတ္တောလနပါတြံ နာသ္တီ စ တသ္မာတ် တဒမၖတံ ကီလာလံ ကုတး ပြာပ္သျသိ?
The woman said to him, “Sir, yoʋ do not even have a bucket to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then can yoʋ get this living water?
12 ယောသ္မဘျမ် ဣမမန္ဓူံ ဒဒေါ်, ယသျ စ ပရိဇနာ ဂေါမေၐာဒယၑ္စ သရွွေ'သျ ပြဟေး ပါနီယံ ပပုရေတာဒၖၑော ယောသ္မာကံ ပူရွွပုရုၐော ယာကူဗ် တသ္မာဒပိ ဘဝါန် မဟာန် ကိံ?
Are yoʋ greater than our father Jacob, who gave us this well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and livestock?”
13 တတော ယီၑုရကထယဒ် ဣဒံ ပါနီယံ သး ပိဝတိ သ ပုနသ္တၖၐာရ္တ္တော ဘဝိၐျတိ,
Jesus answered her, “Everyone who drinks this water will thirst again,
15 တဒါ သာ ဝနိတာကထယတ် ဟေ မဟေစ္ဆ တရှိ မမ ပုနး ပီပါသာ ယထာ န ဇာယတေ တောယောတ္တောလနာယ ယထာတြာဂမနံ န ဘဝတိ စ တဒရ္ထံ မဟျံ တတ္တောယံ ဒေဟီ၊
The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not get thirsty again and have to come here to draw water.”
16 တတော ယီၑူရဝဒဒျာဟိ တဝ ပတိမာဟူယ သ္ထာနေ'တြာဂစ္ဆ၊
Jesus said to her, “Go call yoʋr husband and come back here.”
17 သာ ဝါမာဝဒတ် မမ ပတိရ္နာသ္တိ၊ ယီၑုရဝဒတ် မမ ပတိရ္နာသ္တီတိ ဝါကျံ ဘဒြမဝေါစး၊
The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “Yoʋ have rightly said, ‘I have no husband,’
18 ယတသ္တဝ ပဉ္စ ပတယောဘဝန် အဓုနာ တု တွယာ သာရ္ဒ္ဓံ ယသ္တိၐ္ဌတိ သ တဝ ဘရ္တ္တာ န ဝါကျမိဒံ သတျမဝါဒိး၊
for yoʋ have had five husbands, and the man yoʋ now have is not yoʋr husband; what yoʋ have said is true.”
19 တဒါ သာ မဟိလာ ဂဒိတဝတိ ဟေ မဟေစ္ဆ ဘဝါန် ဧကော ဘဝိၐျဒွါဒီတိ ဗုဒ္ဓံ မယာ၊
The woman said to him, “Sir, I see that yoʋ are a prophet.
20 အသ္မာကံ ပိတၖလောကာ ဧတသ္မိန် ၑိလောစ္စယေ'ဘဇန္တ, ကိန္တု ဘဝဒ္ဘိရုစျတေ ယိရူၑာလမ် နဂရေ ဘဇနယောဂျံ သ္ထာနမာသ္တေ၊
Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that the place where people must worship is in Jerusalem.”
21 ယီၑုရဝေါစတ် ဟေ ယောၐိတ် မမ ဝါကျေ ဝိၑွသိဟိ ယဒါ ယူယံ ကေဝလၑဲလေ'သ္မိန် ဝါ ယိရူၑာလမ် နဂရေ ပိတုရ္ဘဇနံ န ကရိၐျဓွေ ကာလ ဧတာဒၖၑ အာယာတိ၊
Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, an hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
22 ယူယံ ယံ ဘဇဓွေ တံ န ဇာနီထ, ကိန္တု ဝယံ ယံ ဘဇာမဟေ တံ ဇာနီမဟေ, ယတော ယိဟူဒီယလောကာနာံ မဓျာတ် ပရိတြာဏံ ဇာယတေ၊
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews.
23 ကိန္တု ယဒါ သတျဘက္တာ အာတ္မနာ သတျရူပေဏ စ ပိတုရ္ဘဇနံ ကရိၐျန္တေ သမယ ဧတာဒၖၑ အာယာတိ, ဝရမ် ဣဒါနီမပိ ဝိဒျတေ; ယတ ဧတာဒၖၑော ဘတ္ကာန် ပိတာ စေၐ္ဋတေ၊
But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such people to worship him.
24 ဤၑွရ အာတ္မာ; တတသ္တသျ ယေ ဘက္တာသ္တဲး သ အာတ္မနာ သတျရူပေဏ စ ဘဇနီယး၊
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
25 တဒါ သာ မဟိလာဝါဒီတ် ခြီၐ္ဋနာမ္နာ ဝိချာတော'ဘိၐိက္တး ပုရုၐ အာဂမိၐျတီတိ ဇာနာမိ သ စ သရွွား ကထာ အသ္မာန် ဇ္ဉာပယိၐျတိ၊
The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
26 တတော ယီၑုရဝဒတ် တွယာ သာရ္ဒ္ဓံ ကထနံ ကရောမိ ယော'ဟမ် အဟမေဝ သ ပုရုၐး၊
Jesus said to her, “I who speak to yoʋ am he.”
27 ဧတသ္မိန် သမယေ ၑိၐျာ အာဂတျ တထာ သ္တြိယာ သာရ္ဒ္ဓံ တသျ ကထောပကထနေ မဟာၑ္စရျျမ် အမနျန္တ တထာပိ ဘဝါန် ကိမိစ္ဆတိ? ယဒွါ ကိမရ္ထမ် ဧတယာ သာရ္ဒ္ဓံ ကထာံ ကထယတိ? ဣတိ ကောပိ နာပၖစ္ဆတ်၊
Just then his disciples came back, and they were amazed that he was speaking with a woman. However, no one said, “What do yoʋ seek?” or, “Why are yoʋ speaking with her?”
28 တတး ပရံ သာ နာရီ ကလၑံ သ္ထာပယိတွာ နဂရမဓျံ ဂတွာ လောကေဘျောကထာယဒ္
Then the woman left her water jar, went into the town, and said to the people,
29 အဟံ ယဒျတ် ကရ္မ္မာကရဝံ တတ္သရွွံ မဟျမကထယဒ် ဧတာဒၖၑံ မာနဝမေကမ် အာဂတျ ပၑျတ ရု ကိမ် အဘိၐိက္တော န ဘဝတိ?
“Come see a man who told me everything I have ever done. Could this be the Christ?”
30 တတသ္တေ နဂရာဒ် ဗဟိရာဂတျ တာတသျ သမီပမ် အာယန်၊
So they left the town and began coming to him.
31 ဧတရှိ ၑိၐျား သာဓယိတွာ တံ ဝျာဟာရ္ၐုး ဟေ ဂုရော ဘဝါန် ကိဉ္စိဒ် ဘူက္တာံ၊
In the meantime the disciples were urging him, “Rabbi, eat.”
32 တတး သောဝဒဒ် ယုၐ္မာဘိရျန္န ဇ္ဉာယတေ တာဒၖၑံ ဘက္ၐျံ မမာသ္တေ၊
But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.”
33 တဒါ ၑိၐျား ပရသ္ပရံ ပြၐ္ဋုမ် အာရမ္ဘန္တ, ကိမသ္မဲ ကောပိ ကိမပိ ဘက္ၐျမာနီယ ဒတ္တဝါန်?
So the disciples said to one another, “Could someone have brought him something to eat?”
34 ယီၑုရဝေါစတ် မတ္ပြေရကသျာဘိမတာနုရူပကရဏံ တသျဲဝ ကရ္မ္မသိဒ္ဓိကာရဏဉ္စ မမ ဘက္ၐျံ၊
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work.
35 မာသစတုၐ္ဋယေ ဇာတေ ၑသျကရ္တ္တနသမယော ဘဝိၐျတီတိ ဝါကျံ ယုၐ္မာဘိး ကိံ နောဒျတေ? ကိန္တွဟံ ဝဒါမိ, ၑိရ ဥတ္တောလျ က္ၐေတြာဏိ ပြတိ နိရီက္ၐျ ပၑျတ, ဣဒါနီံ ကရ္တ္တနယောဂျာနိ ၑုက္လဝရ္ဏာနျဘဝန်၊
Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and see that the fields are already ripe for harvest.
36 ယၑ္ဆိနတ္တိ သ ဝေတနံ လဘတေ အနန္တာယုးသွရူပံ ၑသျံ သ ဂၖဟ္လာတိ စ, တေနဲဝ ဝပ္တာ ဆေတ္တာ စ ယုဂပဒ် အာနန္ဒတး၊ (aiōnios g166)
He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 ဣတ္ထံ သတိ ဝပတျေကၑ္ဆိနတျနျ ဣတိ ဝစနံ သိဒ္ဓျတိ၊
For in this the true saying is verified: ‘One sows and another reaps.’
38 ယတြ ယူယံ န ပရျျၑြာမျတ တာဒၖၑံ ၑသျံ ဆေတ္တုံ ယုၐ္မာန် ပြဲရယမ် အနျေ ဇနားပရျျၑြာမျန် ယူယံ တေၐာံ ၑြဂသျ ဖလမ် အလဘဓွမ်၊
I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”
39 ယသ္မိန် ကာလေ ယဒျတ် ကရ္မ္မာကာရ္ၐံ တတ္သရွွံ သ မဟျမ် အကထယတ် တသျာ ဝနိတာယာ ဣဒံ သာက္ၐျဝါကျံ ၑြုတွာ တန္နဂရနိဝါသိနော ဗဟဝး ၑောမိရောဏီယလောကာ ဝျၑွသန်၊
Now many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman's testimony: “He told me everything I have ever done.”
40 တထာ စ တသျာန္တိကေ သမုပသ္ထာယ သွေၐာံ သန္နိဓော် ကတိစိဒ် ဒိနာနိ သ္ထာတုံ တသ္မိန် ဝိနယမ် အကုရွွာန တသ္မာတ် သ ဒိနဒွယံ တတ္သ္ထာနေ နျဝၐ္ဋတ္
So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there for two days.
41 တတသ္တသျောပဒေၑေန ဗဟဝေါ'ပရေ ဝိၑွသျ
And many more believed because of his word.
42 တာံ ယောၐာမဝဒန် ကေဝလံ တဝ ဝါကျေန ပြတီမ ဣတိ န, ကိန္တု သ ဇဂတော'ဘိၐိက္တသ္တြာတေတိ တသျ ကထာံ ၑြုတွာ ဝယံ သွယမေဝါဇ္ဉာသမဟိ၊
So they said to the woman, “It is no longer because of yoʋr report that we believe, for we ourselves have heard, and we know that this is truly the Christ, the Savior of the world.”
43 သွဒေၑေ ဘဝိၐျဒွက္တုး သတ္ကာရော နာသ္တီတိ ယဒျပိ ယီၑုး ပြမာဏံ ဒတွာကထယတ္
After two days, he departed from there and went to Galilee.
44 တထာပိ ဒိဝသဒွယာတ် ပရံ သ တသ္မာတ် သ္ထာနာဒ် ဂါလီလံ ဂတဝါန်၊
(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own hometown.)
45 အနန္တရံ ယေ ဂါလီလီ လိယလောကာ ဥတ္သဝေ ဂတာ ဥတ္သဝသမယေ ယိရူၑလမ် နဂရေ တသျ သရွွား ကြိယာ အပၑျန် တေ ဂါလီလမ် အာဂတံ တမ် အာဂၖဟ္လန်၊
When he came to Galilee, the Galileans received him because they had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also had gone to the feast.
46 တတး ပရမ် ယီၑု ရျသ္မိန် ကာန္နာနဂရေ ဇလံ ဒြာက္ၐာရသမ် အာကရောတ် တတ် သ္ထာနံ ပုနရဂါတ်၊ တသ္မိန္နေဝ သမယေ ကသျစိဒ် ရာဇသဘာသ္တာရသျ ပုတြး ကဖရ္နာဟူမပုရီ ရောဂဂြသ္တ အာသီတ်၊
Once more Jesus went to Cana of Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. Now there was a certain royal official whose son was sick in Capernaum.
47 သ ယေဟူဒီယဒေၑာဒ် ယီၑော ရ္ဂာလီလာဂမနဝါရ္တ္တာံ နိၑမျ တသျ သမီပံ ဂတွာ ပြာရ္ထျ ဝျာဟၖတဝါန် မမ ပုတြသျ ပြာယေဏ ကာလ အာသန္နး ဘဝါန် အာဂတျ တံ သွသ္ထံ ကရောတု၊
When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for his son was about to die.
48 တဒါ ယီၑုရကထယဒ် အာၑ္စရျျံ ကရ္မ္မ စိတြံ စိဟ္နံ စ န ဒၖၐ္ဋာ ယူယံ န ပြတျေၐျထ၊
Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders, you will certainly not believe.”
49 တတး သ သဘာသဒဝဒတ် ဟေ မဟေစ္ဆ မမ ပုတြေ န မၖတေ ဘဝါနာဂစ္ဆတု၊
The royal official said to him, “Sir, come down before my boy dies.”
50 ယီၑုသ္တမဝဒဒ် ဂစ္ဆ တဝ ပုတြော'ဇီဝီတ် တဒါ ယီၑုနောက္တဝါကျေ သ ဝိၑွသျ ဂတဝါန်၊
Jesus said to him, “Go; yoʋr son will live.” And the man believed what Jesus said to him and went on his way.
51 ဂမနကာလေ မာရ္ဂမဓျေ ဒါသာသ္တံ သာက္ၐာတ္ပြာပျာဝဒန် ဘဝတး ပုတြော'ဇီဝီတ်၊
As he was going back down to his house, his servants met him and told him, “Yoʋr son is alive.”
52 တတး ကံ ကာလမာရဘျ ရောဂပြတီကာရာရမ္ဘော ဇာတာ ဣတိ ပၖၐ္ဋေ တဲရုက္တံ ဟျး သာရ္ဒ္ဓဒဏ္ဍဒွယာဓိကဒွိတီယယာမေ တသျ ဇွရတျာဂေါ'ဘဝတ်၊
So he asked them what hour he began to get better. They said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”
53 တဒါ ယီၑုသ္တသ္မိန် က္ၐဏေ ပြောက္တဝါန် တဝ ပုတြော'ဇီဝီတ် ပိတာ တဒ္ဗုဒ္ဓွာ သပရိဝါရော ဝျၑွသီတ်၊
Then the father realized that this was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Yoʋr son will live.” So he believed, along with his entire household.
54 ယိဟူဒီယဒေၑာဒ် အာဂတျ ဂါလီလိ ယီၑုရေတဒ် ဒွိတီယမ် အာၑ္စရျျကရ္မ္မာကရောတ်၊
This was the second sign that Jesus did after coming from Judea to Galilee.
