ယာကူဗး 2
1 ဟေ မမ ဘြာတရး, ယူယမ် အသ္မာကံ တေဇသွိနး ပြဘော ရျီၑုခြီၐ္ဋသျ ဓရ္မ္မံ မုခါပေက္ၐယာ န ဓာရယတ၊
My brethren, hold not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons.
2 ယတော ယုၐ္မာကံ သဘာယာံ သွရ္ဏာင်္ဂုရီယကယုက္တေ ဘြာဇိၐ္ဏုပရိစ္ဆဒေ ပုရုၐေ ပြဝိၐ္ဋေ မလိနဝသ္တြေ ကသ္မိံၑ္စိဒ် ဒရိဒြေ'ပိ ပြဝိၐ္ဋေ
For if there come into your synagogue a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, and there come in also a poor man in vile clothing;
3 ယူယံ ယဒိ တံ ဘြာဇိၐ္ဏုပရိစ္ဆဒဝသာနံ ဇနံ နိရီက္ၐျ ဝဒေတ ဘဝါန် အတြောတ္တမသ္ထာန ဥပဝိၑတွိတိ ကိဉ္စ တံ ဒရိဒြံ ယဒိ ဝဒေတ တွမ် အမုသ္မိန် သ္ထာနေ တိၐ္ဌ ယဒွါတြ မမ ပါဒပီဌ ဥပဝိၑေတိ,
and ye have regard to him that weareth the fine clothing, and say, Sit thou here in a good place; and ye say to the poor man, Stand thou there, or sit under my footstool;
4 တရှိ မနးသု ဝိၑေၐျ ယူယံ ကိံ ကုတရ္ကဲး ကုဝိစာရကာ န ဘဝထ?
do ye not make distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
5 ဟေ မမ ပြိယဘြာတရး, ၑၖဏုတ, သံသာရေ ယေ ဒရိဒြာသ္တာန် ဤၑွရော ဝိၑွာသေန ဓနိနး သွပြေမကာရိဘျၑ္စ ပြတိၑြုတသျ ရာဇျသျာဓိကာရိဏး ကရ္တ္တုံ ကိံ န ဝရီတဝါန်? ကိန္တု ဒရိဒြော ယုၐ္မာဘိရဝဇ္ဉာယတေ၊
Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world [to be] rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?
6 ဓနဝန္တ ဧဝ ကိံ ယုၐ္မာန် နောပဒြဝန္တိ ဗလာစ္စ ဝိစာရာသနာနာံ သမီပံ န နယန္တိ?
But ye have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you, and themselves drag you before the judgment-seats?
7 ယုၐ္မဒုပရိ ပရိကီရ္တ္တိတံ ပရမံ နာမ ကိံ တဲရေဝ န နိန္ဒျတေ?
Do not they blaspheme the honorable name by which ye are called?
8 ကိဉ္စ တွံ သွသမီပဝါသိနိ သွာတ္မဝတ် ပြီယသွ, ဧတစ္ဆာသ္တြီယဝစနာနုသာရတော ယဒိ ယူယံ ရာဇကီယဝျဝသ္ထာံ ပါလယထ တရှိ ဘဒြံ ကုရုထ၊
Howbeit if ye fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
9 ယဒိ စ မုခါပေက္ၐာံ ကုရုထ တရှိ ပါပမ် အာစရထ ဝျဝသ္ထယာ စာဇ္ဉာလင်္ဃိန ဣဝ ဒူၐျဓွေ၊
but if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
10 ယတော ယး ကၑ္စိတ် ကၖတ္သ္နာံ ဝျဝသ္ထာံ ပါလယတိ သ ယဒျေကသ္မိန် ဝိဓော် သ္ခလတိ တရှိ သရွွေၐာမ် အပရာဓီ ဘဝတိ၊
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one [point], he is become guilty of all.
11 ယတော ဟေတောသ္တွံ ပရဒါရာန် မာ ဂစ္ဆေတိ ယး ကထိတဝါန် သ ဧဝ နရဟတျာံ မာ ကုရျျာ ဣတျပိ ကထိတဝါန် တသ္မာတ် တွံ ပရဒါရာန် န ဂတွာ ယဒိ နရဟတျာံ ကရောၐိ တရှိ ဝျဝသ္ထာလင်္ဃီ ဘဝသိ၊
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 မုက္တေ ရွျဝသ္ထာတော ယေၐာံ ဝိစာရေဏ ဘဝိတဝျံ တာဒၖၑာ လောကာ ဣဝ ယူယံ ကထာံ ကထယတ ကရ္မ္မ ကုရုတ စ၊
So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty.
13 ယော ဒယာံ နာစရတိ တသျ ဝိစာရော နိရ္ဒ္ဒယေန ကာရိၐျတေ, ကိန္တု ဒယာ ဝိစာရမ် အဘိဘဝိၐျတိ၊
For judgment [is] without mercy to him that hath showed no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgment.
14 ဟေ မမ ဘြာတရး, မမ ပြတျယော'သ္တီတိ ယး ကထယတိ တသျ ကရ္မ္မာဏိ ယဒိ န ဝိဒျန္တ တရှိ တေန ကိံ ဖလံ? တေန ပြတျယေန ကိံ တသျ ပရိတြာဏံ ဘဝိတုံ ၑက္နောတိ?
What doth it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but have not works? can that faith save him?
15 ကေၐုစိဒ် ဘြာတၖၐု ဘဂိနီၐု ဝါ ဝသနဟီနေၐု ပြာတျဟိကာဟာရဟီနေၐု စ သတ္သု ယုၐ္မာကံ ကော'ပိ တေဘျး ၑရီရာရ္ထံ ပြယောဇနီယာနိ ဒြဝျာဏိ န ဒတွာ ယဒိ တာန် ဝဒေတ်,
If a brother or sister be naked and in lack of daily food,
16 ယူယံ သကုၑလံ ဂတွောၐ္ဏဂါတြာ ဘဝတ တၖပျတ စေတိ တရှျေတေန ကိံ ဖလံ?
and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 တဒွတ် ပြတျယော ယဒိ ကရ္မ္မဘိ ရျုက္တော န ဘဝေတ် တရှျေကာကိတွာတ် မၖတ ဧဝါသ္တေ၊
Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself.
18 ကိဉ္စ ကၑ္စိဒ် ဣဒံ ဝဒိၐျတိ တဝ ပြတျယော ဝိဒျတေ မမ စ ကရ္မ္မာဏိ ဝိဒျန္တေ, တွံ ကရ္မ္မဟီနံ သွပြတျယံ မာံ ဒရ္ၑယ တရှျဟမပိ မတ္ကရ္မ္မဘျး သွပြတျယံ တွာံ ဒရ္ၑယိၐျာမိ၊
Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith apart from [thy] works, and I by my works will show thee [my] faith.
19 ဧက ဤၑွရော 'သ္တီတိ တွံ ပြတျေၐိ၊ ဘဒြံ ကရောၐိ၊ ဘူတာ အပိ တတ် ပြတိယန္တိ ကမ္ပန္တေ စ၊
Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder.
20 ကိန္တု ဟေ နိရ္ဗ္ဗောဓမာနဝ, ကရ္မ္မဟီနး ပြတျယော မၖတ ဧဝါသ္တျေတဒ် အဝဂန္တုံ ကိမ် ဣစ္ဆသိ?
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is barren?
21 အသ္မာကံ ပူရွွပုရုၐော ယ ဣဗြာဟီမ် သွပုတြမ် ဣသှာကံ ယဇ္ဉဝေဒျာမ် ဥတ္သၖၐ္ဋဝါန် သ ကိံ ကရ္မ္မဘျော န သပုဏျီကၖတး?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 ပြတျယေ တသျ ကရ္မ္မဏာံ သဟကာရိဏိ ဇာတေ ကရ္မ္မဘိး ပြတျယး သိဒ္ဓေါ 'ဘဝတ် တတ် ကိံ ပၑျသိ?
Thou seest that faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect;
23 ဣတ္ထဉ္စေဒံ ၑာသ္တြီယဝစနံ သဖလမ် အဘဝတ်, ဣဗြာဟီမ် ပရမေၑွရေ ဝိၑွသိတဝါန် တစ္စ တသျ ပုဏျာယာဂဏျတ သ စေၑွရသျ မိတြ ဣတိ နာမ လဗ္ဓဝါန်၊
and the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God.
24 ပၑျတ မာနဝး ကရ္မ္မဘျး သပုဏျီကြိယတေ န စဲကာကိနာ ပြတျယေန၊
Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.
25 တဒွဒ် ယာ ရာဟဗ္နာမိကာ ဝါရာင်္ဂနာ စာရာန် အနုဂၖဟျာပရေဏ မာရ္ဂေဏ ဝိသသရ္ဇ သာပိ ကိံ ကရ္မ္မဘျော န သပုဏျီကၖတာ?
And in like manner was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way?
26 အတဧဝါတ္မဟီနော ဒေဟော ယထာ မၖတော'သ္တိ တထဲဝ ကရ္မ္မဟီနး ပြတျယော'ပိ မၖတော'သ္တိ၊
For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.
