၁ ထိၐလနီကိနး 5
1 ဟေ ဘြာတရး, ကာလာန် သမယာံၑ္စာဓိ ယုၐ္မာန် ပြတိ မမ လိခနံ နိၐ္ပြယောဇနံ,
But as to the times and the moments, there is no need, friends, for anyone to write to you.
2 ယတော ရာတြော် ယာဒၖက် တသ္ကရသ္တာဒၖက် ပြဘော ရ္ဒိနမ် ဥပသ္ထာသျတီတိ ယူယံ သွယမေဝ သမျဂ် ဇာနီထ၊
You yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come just as a thief comes in the night.
3 ၑာန္တိ ရ္နိရွွိန္ဃတွဉ္စ ဝိဒျတ ဣတိ ယဒါ မာနဝါ ဝဒိၐျန္တိ တဒါ ပြသဝဝေဒနာ ယဒွဒ် ဂရ္ဗ္ဘိနီမ် ဥပတိၐ္ဌတိ တဒွဒ် အကသ္မာဒ် ဝိနာၑသ္တာန် ဥပသ္ထာသျတိ တဲရုဒ္ဓါရော န လပ္သျတေ၊
When people are saying ‘All is quiet and safe,’ it is then that, like birth pains on a pregnant woman, ruin comes suddenly upon them, and there will be no escape!
4 ကိန္တု ဟေ ဘြာတရး, ယူယမ် အန္ဓကာရေဏာဝၖတာ န ဘဝထ တသ္မာတ် တဒ္ဒိနံ တသ္ကရ ဣဝ ယုၐ္မာန် န ပြာပ္သျတိ၊
You, however, friends, are not in darkness, that the daylight should take you by surprise as if you were thieves.
5 သရွွေ ယူယံ ဒီပ္တေး သန္တာနာ ဒိဝါယာၑ္စ သန္တာနာ ဘဝထ ဝယံ နိၑာဝံၑာသ္တိမိရဝံၑာ ဝါ န ဘဝါမး၊
For you all are children of light and children of the day. We have nothing to do with night, or darkness.
6 အတော 'ပရေ ယထာ နိဒြာဂတား သန္တိ တဒွဒ် အသ္မာဘိ ရ္န ဘဝိတဝျံ ကိန္တု ဇာဂရိတဝျံ သစေတနဲၑ္စ ဘဝိတဝျံ၊
Therefore let us not sleep as others do. No, let us be watchful and self-controlled.
7 ယေ နိဒြာန္တိ တေ နိၑာယာမေဝ နိဒြာန္တိ တေ စ မတ္တာ ဘဝန္တိ တေ ရဇနျာမေဝ မတ္တာ ဘဝန္တိ၊
It is at night that people sleep, and at night that drunkards get drunk.
8 ကိန္တု ဝယံ ဒိဝသသျ ဝံၑာ ဘဝါမး; အတော 'သ္မာဘိ ရွက္ၐသိ ပြတျယပြေမရူပံ ကဝစံ ၑိရသိ စ ပရိတြာဏာၑာရူပံ ၑိရသ္တြံ ပရိဓာယ သစေတနဲ ရ္ဘဝိတဝျံ၊
But let us, who belong to the day, control ourselves, and put on faith and love as a breast plate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
9 ယတ ဤၑွရော'သ္မာန် ကြောဓေ န နိယုဇျာသ္မာကံ ပြဘုနာ ယီၑုခြီၐ္ဋေန ပရိတြာဏသျာဓိကာရေ နိယုက္တဝါန်,
For God destined us, not for wrath, but to win salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us,
10 ဇာဂြတော နိဒြာဂတာ ဝါ ဝယံ ယတ် တေန ပြဘုနာ သဟ ဇီဝါမသ္တဒရ္ထံ သော'သ္မာကံ ကၖတေ ပြာဏာန် တျက္တဝါန်၊
that, whether we are still watching or have fallen asleep, we may live with him.
11 အတဧဝ ယူယံ ယဒွတ် ကုရုထ တဒွတ် ပရသ္ပရံ သာန္တွယတ သုသ္ထိရီကုရုဓွဉ္စ၊
Therefore encourage one another, and try to build up one another’s characters, as indeed you are doing.
12 ဟေ ဘြာတရး, ယုၐ္မာကံ မဓျေ ယေ ဇနား ပရိၑြမံ ကုရွွန္တိ ပြဘော ရ္နာမ္နာ ယုၐ္မာန် အဓိတိၐ္ဌန္တျုပဒိၑန္တိ စ တာန် ယူယံ သမ္မနျဓွံ၊
We beg you, friends, to value those who toil among you, and are your leaders in the Lord’s service, and give you counsel.
13 သွကရ္မ္မဟေတုနာ စ ပြေမ္နာ တာန် အတီဝါဒၖယဓွမိတိ မမ ပြာရ္ထနာ, ယူယံ ပရသ္ပရံ နိရွွိရောဓာ ဘဝတ၊
Hold them in the very greatest esteem and affection for the sake of their work. Live at peace with one another.
14 ဟေ ဘြာတရး, ယုၐ္မာန် ဝိနယာမဟေ ယူယမ် အဝိဟိတာစာရိဏော လောကာန် ဘရ္တ္သယဓွံ, က္ၐုဒြမနသး သာန္တွယတ, ဒုရ္ဗ္ဗလာန် ဥပကုရုတ, သရွွာန် ပြတိ သဟိၐ္ဏဝေါ ဘဝတ စ၊
We entreat you also, friends – warn the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, give a helping hand to the weak, and be patient with everyone.
15 အပရံ ကမပိ ပြတျနိၐ္ဋသျ ဖလမ် အနိၐ္ဋံ ကေနာပိ ယန္န ကြိယေတ တဒရ္ထံ သာဝဓာနာ ဘဝတ, ကိန္တု ပရသ္ပရံ သရွွာန် မာနဝါံၑ္စ ပြတိ နိတျံ ဟိတာစာရိဏော ဘဝတ၊
Take care that none of you ever pays back wrong for wrong, but always follow the kindest course with one another and with everyone.
16 သရွွဒါနန္ဒတ၊
Always be joyful;
17 နိရန္တရံ ပြာရ္ထနာံ ကုရုဓွံ၊
never cease to pray;
18 သရွွဝိၐယေ ကၖတဇ္ဉတာံ သွီကုရုဓွံ ယတ ဧတဒေဝ ခြီၐ္ဋယီၑုနာ ယုၐ္မာန် ပြတိ ပြကာၑိတမ် ဤၑွရာဘိမတံ၊
under all circumstances give thanks to God. For this is his will for you as made known in Christ Jesus.
19 ပဝိတြမ် အာတ္မာနံ န နိရွွာပယတ၊
Do not quench the Spirit;
20 ဤၑွရီယာဒေၑံ နာဝဇာနီတ၊
do not make light of preaching.
21 သရွွာဏိ ပရီက္ၐျ ယဒ် ဘဒြံ တဒေဝ ဓာရယတ၊
Bring everything to the test; cling to what is good;
22 ယတ် ကိမပိ ပါပရူပံ ဘဝတိ တသ္မာဒ် ဒူရံ တိၐ္ဌတ၊
shun every form of evil.
23 ၑာန္တိဒါယက ဤၑွရး သွယံ ယုၐ္မာန် သမ္ပူရ္ဏတွေန ပဝိတြာန် ကရောတု, အပရမ် အသ္မတ္ပြဘော ရျီၑုခြီၐ္ဋသျာဂမနံ ယာဝဒ် ယုၐ္မာကမ် အာတ္မာနး ပြာဏား ၑရီရာဏိ စ နိခိလာနိ နိရ္ဒ္ဒေါၐတွေန ရက္ၐျန္တာံ၊
May God himself, the giver of peace, make you altogether holy; and may your spirits, souls, and bodies be kept altogether faultless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 ယော ယုၐ္မာန် အာဟွယတိ သ ဝိၑွသနီယော'တး သ တတ် သာဓယိၐျတိ၊
He who calls you will not fail you; he will complete his work.
25 ဟေ ဘြာတရး, အသ္မာကံ ကၖတေ ပြာရ္ထနာံ ကုရုဓွံ၊
Friends, pray for us.
26 ပဝိတြစုမ္ဗနေန သရွွာန် ဘြာတၖန် ပြတိ သတ္ကုရုဓွံ၊
Greet all the Lord’s followers with a sacred kiss.
27 ပတြမိဒံ သရွွေၐာံ ပဝိတြာဏာံ ဘြာတၖဏာံ ၑြုတိဂေါစရေ ယုၐ္မာဘိး ပဌျတာမိတိ ပြဘော ရ္နာမ္နာ ယုၐ္မာန် ၑပယာမိ၊
I order you in the Lord’s name to have this letter read to all the brethren.
28 အသ္မာကံ ပြဘော ရျီၑုခြီၐ္ဋသျာနုဂြတေ ယုၐ္မာသု ဘူယာတ်၊ အာမေန်၊
May the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
